Lot # 25

According to the Walther PP and PPK Serial Numbers Guide, this Model PP was made in 1942. This gun is numbers matching (slide & frame) and is Nazi proofed throughout. Fea...moretures include a 3.9" barrel, black checkered grips with embossed Walther logo, serrated round hammer, left side magazine release button and comes with a period correct brown leather flap holster and (2) 7-round magazines. This gun is in nice condition with some light wear, has a sharp/ clean bore and appears to be in good working order. The Walther PP (Police Pistol) is a blowback-operated semi-automatic pistol that was developed by the German arms manufacturer, Carl Walther GmbH Sportwaffen, and introduced in 1929. It features an exposed hammer, a traditional double-action trigger mechanism, a single-column magazine, and a fixed barrel that also acts as the guide rod for the recoil spring. Browning Citori 525 Sporting Grade (30"), 12 Ga., O/U (W/ Choke Tubes), SN - 05455MX131

Lot # 26

This Browning Citori 525 Sporting Grade is beautifully scroll engraved on its silver nitride receiver. The Grade II/III walnut stock with close radius pistol grip sports ...moredeep cut outline checkering and a Schnabel forearm tip. Other features include 30" Invector Plus ported & vented barrels with chrome plated chambers, black rubber buttpad with black spacer, gold trigger, tang safety/ barrel selector, dual ejectors, wide serrated vent-rib with mid-bead sight & fiber-optic pin front sight, 2 3/4" chamber, 15" LOP and comes with (7) choke tubes. This gun is in beautiful condition with no wear to speak of and appears to be in good working order. The Browning Citori 525 is the progeny of the famous Belgium made B25 Superposed. In the 1960s and 70s the Browning company became aware that a firm in Japan, B.C. Miroku, was copying their guns and doing a rather good job of it too. These guns were being seen in increasing number in the UK. The Miroku shotguns were well made, a slightly simplified version of the original B25. Browning despatched a delegation to Japan to negotiate with Miroku, they didn’t manage to get them to stop coping Brownings, instead they entered into what has since become a very long standing commercial relationship whereby the Japanese manufacturer ended up making the great majority of Browning over-and-unders. Thus in 1973 the Browning Citori was born. It evolved from the 325, to the 425 and, more recently, the 525. All these guns are based on a slightly (and cleverly) simplified, mass-production friendly version of the original Superposed design. It must be mentioned that the Citri is partly machine made, but a lot of hand work goes into it. These are not cheaply made guns. The Citori has become known for its "mechanical excellence" and deluxe grade features. It has become a must have for serious sportsmen around the world.

WWII G.I. Bring-Back "fnh" CZ P27, 6.75mm (32 ACP) (Belt/ Buckle/ Holster/ Magazines), SN - 428230

Lot # 27

This CZ Model 27 pistol believed to be a U.S. GI WWII bring back and comes with a 1920s SA Nazi Party belt/ buckle with first pattern SA (Nazi) sunwheel Swastika, holster...more & (2) magazines. Oral history of this pistol from the son of the now deceased former U.S. G.I. is: "My father claimed that he took this pistol from a German officer (possibly S.S.) in 1945 during the liberation of Austria and then sent it to his family back in the states. I believe that the belt & holster were sent back at the same time". No physical documentation exists. This pistol is marked "fnh Pistole Modell 27 Kal. 7,65" on the left side of the frame, along with at least three Nazi acceptance stamps (right frame, top slide & barrel). Other features include a parkerized military finish, brown checkered bakelite grips, 3.9" barrel and comes with (2) original 8-round magazines that are marked "P. Mod. 27" on the bottom of the base. This gun retains a sharp/ clean bore and appears to be in good working order. The Germans often used a letter code system to replace factory names. The Ceska Zbrojovka [CZ] factory received the code letters “fnh”. The brass buckle that accompanies this pistol is a nice example of an early 1920s first pattern sunwheel Swastika with rounded arms. The black leather belt is correctly marked "RBNr.0/0356/0012" = A. Jelinek & Sohn (period correct) on the inside - size 58. The black leather flap holster does not appear to be marked. The CZ vz. 27 is a Czechoslovakian semi-automatic pistol, based on the pistole vz. 24, and chambered for 7.65 mm Browning (.32 ACP). After the German occupation of Czechoslovakia in mid-March, 1939, the pistol was folded into the German armed and police forces as the P27. It was produced after the war, in Czechoslovakia, until the 1950s.

Production of the Vis began at the Fabryka Broni arms factory in Radom in 1935, and was adopted as the standard handgun of the Polish Army the following year. 1943 British Webley MK IV "War Finish", 38 S&W, Revolver, SN - 99325

Lot # 33

This WWII British service revolver is marked "WEBLEY & SCOTT LTD" on the top strap, "MARK IV .38" left side of the top strap, "WAR FINISH" on the left side of the frame, ...moreas well as numerous British proof stamps throughout. According to the Webley MKIV Estimated Serial Number Chart, this gun was manufactured in 1943 (Mark IV revolvers (1943) numbers 94500- 104599). Features include a 5" slab-sided barrel, black checkered grips with embossed "Webley", spur hammer, DA/SA trigger and lanyard ring. This gun is in good condition with some various light wear, has a sharp/ clean bore and appears to be in good working order. The Webley Mk IV revolver was one of the multitudes of sidearms issued to British and Commonwealth forces during World War II. Although the first Webley entered service in the 1870s, many design features endured in the pistol that armed British officers, pilots, and tank crewmen during the war. Like earlier Webleys, the Mk IV is a top break revolver. Unlike most modern American revolvers such as the Smith & Wesson “Victory” model (which also served British forces during the war), the cylinder and barrel assembly on the Mk IV are released by a lever on the left-hand side of the pistol. The Mk IVs auto-ejectors expel empty cases from the pistol enabling the user to focus more on reloading the pistol than emptying the cases manually by pushing an ejector rod. Webley, being a high-end firearms manufacturer, was so concerned about the appearance of its wartime models that many Mk IVs are found with the stamp “WAR FINISH” applied so the user understood that under “normal” circumstances, Webley put more time into the finish and overall appearance of its revolvers. The grips on the Mk IV are serviceable and, being plastic and checkered, are more user friendly in poor weather or when the user has wet or muddy hands. The Mk IV stayed “on the books” with British forces well into the 1970s.

1980 Colt Trooper MK III (8"), 22 LR, Revolver, SN - Y26978

Lot # 43

According to the Colt Archives serial number database, this Trooper MK III was made in 1980. Features include a polished blued finish, 8" ribbed barrel with shrouded extr...moreactor rod, Patridge-style pinned front sight, adjustable rear sight pinned to the channel, checkered walnut Presentation Target grips with gold Rampant Colt medallions, grooved rear strap and casehardened hammer. This gun is in beautiful condition with no wear to speak of, has a perfect sharp/ clean bore and appears to be in good working order. Introduced to the firearms market in 1953, the double-action Colt Trooper was designed with the intention of addressing the medium frame revolver market as law enforcement officers had long complained about the weight of earlier models. The Trooper was made in three different variants/production runs - Original Trooper 1953 - 1969, Trooper MK III 1969 - 1983 & Trooper MKV 1982 - 1986. Intended to be the first major advancement of Colt's designs since the beginning of the 20th century, the MK IIIs used a new "J" frame and had no parts interchangeability with older models. The new revolvers employed transfer-bar lock work system so that the revolver could fire only if the trigger was deliberately pulled completely to the rear. The springs used in the MK IIIs internals were also an improvement. Unlike the older flat style, they were coiled and made entirely of corrosion-resistant stainless steel.

Remington 105 CTi "A 21st Century Shotgun", 12 Ga., Semi-Auto (W/ Case), SN - CT003384

Lot # 46

The Remington 105 CTi, "A 21st Century Shotgun," appeared originally as a feature in the December, 2006, issue of American Rifleman. The intended year of introduction was...more to be 2005, a century after the John Browning-designed Remington Autoloading shotgun was announced, but it took Remington’s engineers a little longer than they anticipated to get it to market. With its 105 CTi, Remington brought a host of innovations to the semi-automatic shotgun. The first has to do with materials. The CTi’s receiver is of investment-cast titanium—thus, the “Ti” in the name. Titanium’s weight is 40 percent of a comparable piece of steel, yet the yield strength of the heat-treated receiver is four times higher. It’s the first shotgun to include carbon fiber in its receiver construction, explaining the “C.” It’s the first production bottom-loading and ejecting-autoloader from a major American manufacturer. The 105 CTi also has a built-in recoil-reduction system and an innovative trigger and loading system. The 105 CTi’s receiver, which mimics the external dimensions of a Model 1100, is skeletonized at its top to reduce weight. This 105 CTi sports a 26" barrel, serrated vent-rib with dual bead sights, black cushioned rubber recoil pad with black spacer, checkered walnut stock with fluted comb/ contoured forearm & satin finish, silver commemorative grip cap, 14.5" LOP and is chambered for 2 3/4" or 3" shells. This gun comes in a green Remington hardcase with choke tubes and paperwork. This gun will have some recoil pad wear, but otherwise is in nice condition with very light wear and appears to be in good working order.

1947 Remington Engraved 31-TC (Trap C-Grade), 12 Ga. (30" FULL), Pump, SN - 76825

Lot # 48

This Remington Model 31-TC (Trap C-Grade) was made in June, 1947 (PSS date code). Features include an etch-engraved receiver with setter dog hunting scene on the left & d...moreucks-in-flight scene on the right, glossed dark walnut stock with fluted comb/ double outlined checkering & contoured forearm, White Line brown rubber buttpad with black/ white spacers, black metal grip cap with fleur-de-lis design, 30" FULL barrel, serrated vent rib with dual bead sights, 14.25" LOP and 2 3/4" chamber. This gun is in nice condition with some various light wear and appears to be in good working order. The Remington Model 31 pump-action shotgun was produced from 1931 to 1949. The design was based on the best attributes of the Remington Model 17 but with side ejection and a simpler design than the previous models. It was initially offered in 12-gauge with 16- and 20-gauge added in 1933. Like the Model 17, the barrel was easily removed by way of a knurled nut at the end of the magazine tube. It competed well with Winchester’s iconic Model 12. However, its 1931 introduction coincided with the lowest point of the Depression which was a very tough time to start production of a high quality, relatively high-cost shotgun. Remington’s retail price for the Model 31 was $48.95, while Winchester had just dropped the price of the Model 12 to $39.50. The Model 31 was made in 35 variations and grades from the Standard Grade to the TF Premier Grade. Higher grades were offered with factory engraving and a ventilated rib which sold for $302 in 1931. Most grades could be ordered with a number of special options. The Model 31 was discontinued in 1948 for the same reason the Winchester Model 12 was dropped 14 years later — production cost was too high and profit margins too low. The two guns, which represented the pump-action’s pinnacle of design, craftsmanship, function and beauty, were dropped in favor of more easily manufactured and more profitable designs.
