Item Details
The new generation Colt Python features modern stainless steel alloys and a re-designed rear sight. Thirty percent more steel beneath the rear adjustable target sight gives you a stronger revolver and more robust shooting experience. A recessed target crown, user-interchangeable front sight, and Walnut grip with the iconic Colt medallion make this a gun you’ll want to shoot and show off. The Python is chambered in .357 Magnum and also accommodates 38 Special cartridges. This 6" Python, with a beautiful stainless finish (mfg. 2020), is new/unfired in original blue hardcase with paperwork, and appears to be in good working order. The Colt Python was cataloged from 1955 to 2005 and then re-introduced in 2020. It was offered on a special order basis from Colt's Custom Shop until 2007. It was designed and intended for the premium revolver market segment. Some firearm collectors and writers have described the Python as "The Finest Production Revolver Ever Made". The Colt Python is a double-action 6-shot revolver chambered primarily for the .357 Magnum cartridge built on Colt's large I-frame. Pythons have a reputation for accuracy, smooth trigger pull, and a tight cylinder lock-up.
