ONLINE-ONLY BIDDING INFO

Lot # 0

This is an Online Only "Timed Auction" with a "soft closing" and the only way to bid is through ProxiBid. When lot #1 goes "Live" at 10:00am CST there will be a 60 second...more time clock that will reset every time a new bid is placed, once there has been no bids for a full 60 seconds that lot will close. TWO NEW LOTS WILL GO "LIVE" EVERY 60 SECONDS, the software WILL NOT WAIT until one lot has closed before starting the 60 second time clock on the next lots. THERE WILL BE MULTIPLE LOTS SELLING AT THE SAME TIME throughout the day. The best way to participate is to leave "Max Bids" and let the software do the bidding for you. ProxiBid software executes the max bids, NOT THE AUCTION COMPANY, and will only bid for you up to your Max Bid price, if needed. For Example, if you leave a Max Bid on an item for $800 and that item only gets bid up to $400, you only pay $400. If you want to raise your "Max Bid", the software will not let you raise your current bid. This software is designed to work for you, not against you. It simply executes your bids competitively, just as if you were bidding yourself. Also note that "Live Bidding" problems can happen. For example, a slow internet connection or multiple people trying to bid at once can affect the speed at which you are viewing the auction and an item may sell before you are able to bid. So, once again, if you have not left Max Bids as a backup, you could miss out.

1920's German, Mauser C96 "Bolo" W/ Holster Stock, 7.63×25 (.30 Mauser), Semi-Auto, SN - 561650

Lot # 1

In 1896, Mauser introduced the Mauser C96 Self-loading Pistol chambered in 7.63mm. Known as the "Broomhandle", they were produced until 1937. The Mauser C96’s “Broomhandl...moree” nickname caught on in the English-speaking world, a reference to the gun’s round wooden grip. The most common accessory for the Mauser C96, as well as its most famous, is the pistol’s combination holster stock. These stocks were offered in variations that ranged as widely as the pistol itself, from a simple wooden holster to more elaborate military models that included provisions for a cleaning rod and an extra magazine spring. When not holstering the pistol, these combination stocks could be attached to the Mauser C96 and transform the weapon into a pistol carbine that could be fired from the shoulder. This was a popular option, given that the C96's 7.63x25mm Mauser cartridge was considered the highest velocity commercially manufactured pistol cartridge of its era, a flat-shooting round known for its power and accuracy. Germany’s defeat in WW1 temporarily halted production of the Mauser C96. The Treaty of Versailles placed severe restrictions on German weapons production, and Mauser reworked large numbers of C96s to conform to these new specifications. The C96’s barrel was shortened from 5.5 inches to 4 inches, the grip frame was reduced, and the adjustable rear sight was replaced by a fixed rear sight. This configuration became known as the "Bolo" Mauser. Nearly 130 years later, the Mauser C96 pistol is still one of the most sought-after collector guns around. Carried by Winston Churchill during the Boer Wars and T.E. Lawrence during the Arab Revolt, the Mauser C96 is a gun as legendary as it is unique. The exotic look of the Mauser C96 made it a favorite in the entertainment industry, with author Ian Fleming depicting Mauser pistols as the preferred sidearm of the sinister SMERSH agents in the James Bond series, and the Mauser played a prominent role in Clint Eastwood’s 1972 Western, "Joe Kidd". Today, the C96 can be found on screen in period dramas like Peaky Blinders. This 1920s Mauser C96 "Bolo" is marked: "WAFFENFABRIK MAUSER OBERNDORF A. NECKAR" on the right side & on top of the barrel; Mauser Banner on the left side and various German proof marks. Features include a 4" barrel, round wooden "Broomhandle" grips, graduated rear sight and comes with wooden stock holster. This gun is showing age/ & wear with a fair bore, but appears to be in good working order. (A. Rex Winn Estate)

1918 U.S. WWI Army, Model 1911, 45 ACP, Semi-Auto (W/ Cavalry Holster), SN - 294608

Lot # 1A

This U.S. Army Model 1911 pistol is being sold by the descendants of U.S. WWI Veteran John L. Cleveland. Very little oral history of Mr. Cleveland's participation in the ...moreGreat War has been passed down through the generations, and no documentation is known to exist. The grandson of Mr. Cleveland was only able to offer the following information: "Unfortunately, I do not have much information on my grandfather's wartime service in WWI. He died when I was quite young, and my father, uncle and aunt who might have had information about it have all passed away too. My grandfather (His name was John L. Cleveland) suffered from progressive hearing loss. My father once mentioned that it was due "to all the gunfire he endured during the war" while serving with an artillery unit. He was in France during 1918, and returned to the US in 1919. He was college educated, so I assume he was an officer. That's about all I know."..... The Colt Model 1911 is a single-action, recoil-operated, semi-automatic pistol chambered for the .45 ACP cartridge. Designed by John Browning, the Model 1911 Colt Government is the best known of his designs to use the short recoil principle in its basic design. The pistol was widely copied, and this operating system rose to become the pre-eminent type of the 20th century and of nearly all modern centerfire pistols. The pistol served as the standard-issue sidearm for the United States Armed Forces from 1911 to 1985, and is widely regarded by gun historians as the best firearm design to date. Battlefield experience in World War I led to some small external changes to the M1911. Completed in 1924, the new version was called the M1911 A1. An original U.S. Colt 1911 issued during WWI is widely known as the most desirable "Collector/ Investment" firearm of all time. This gun is 100% "Fresh To The Market" and has never been in an Historical Collection. According to Colt Archives, this U.S. Army Model 1911 left the factory in 1918. This gun appears to be all original with a 5.3" barrel, diamond checkered walnut grips, safety grip, lanyard ring with original leather strap, period correct steel magazine, and is correctly marked" "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" "1902" & "1913" Patent Dates "COLT'S PT. F.A. MFG. CO. HARTFORD CT. U.S.A" "MODEL OF U.S. ARMY 1911" and U.S. Ordnance proof marked by J.M. Gilbert (The JMG Monogram is found on original Colt 1911s from 1917 to 1918, SN - 230,001 to 302,000). This gun also comes with an original M1912 Cavalry swivel leather holster with leg strap. Holster is marked: Back - "ROCK ISLAND/ ARSENAL/ 1914"; Swivel - "G.K." E.F.M." & Front - "3AER0123". Before World War I, the M1912 Cavalry Swivel Holster was designed for the soon to be adopted Colt 1911 .45. It was produced from 1911-1916, although commercial models were also made well after WWI. The M1912 is identified by its extended hanger and swivel section. The holster was designed for mounted cavalry troops, so that it could still be tied to the leg while bent. This gun has a nice tight action, sharp bore and appears to be in good working order.

1979 Colt, Trooper MK III (6"), 357 Magnum, Revolver, SN - 46978L

Lot # 7

Introduced to the firearms market in 1953, the double-action Colt Trooper was introduced with the intention of addressing the medium frame revolver market as law enforcem...moreent officers had long complained about the weight of earlier models. The Trooper was made in three different variants/production runs - Original Trooper 1953 - 1969, Trooper MK III 1969 - 1983 & Trooper MKV 1982 - 1986. Intended to be the first major advancement of Colt's designs since the beginning of the 20th century, the MK IIIs used a new "J" frame and had no parts interchangeability with older models. The new revolvers employed transfer-bar lockwork system so that the revolver could fire only if the trigger was deliberately pulled completely to the rear. The springs used in the MK III's internals were also an improvement. Unlike the older flat style, they were coiled and made entirely of corrosion-resistant stainless steel. This Trooper MK III was made in 1979, and features a polished Royal Blue finish, 6" ported ribbed barrel, Patridge-style pinned front sight, adjustable rear sight pinned to the channel, case hardened hammer, checkered walnut flat-butt target grips with gold Roaring Colt medallion, grooved rear strap and 6-shot swing out cylinder. This gun is in nice condition with light wear, has a sharp/ clean bore and appears to be in good working order. (A. Rex Winn Estate)

This 725 Trap sports 32" ported & vented Invector-DS barrels, high vent-rib with serrated top, Grade III/IV checkered walnut stock with high gloss finish & palm swell, adjustable comb, GRACOIL adjustable pad, gold serrated trigger, white bead mid-sight, fiber-optic pin front sight, tang safety/ barrel selector and 2 3/4" chamber. 1940 WWII German Mauser (BYF), P.08 Luger, 9mm, Semi-Auto, SN - 2998

Lot # 9

In 1908, the German Army adopted the Model P.08 Luger to replace the Reich's revolver in front-line service. The P.08 Luger is well known for its use by Germany and other...more axis powers during World War I and World War II, along with the interwar Weimar Republic and the postwar East German Volkspolizei. The Model P08 luger was technically replaced in service in 1938 by the Walther P38, but ever-growing WWII wartime demands for handguns resulted in continued P08 production by Mauser until December 1943. The P08 Luger is a toggle-lock action semi-automatic pistol that uses a jointed arm to lock, as opposed to the slide actions of many other semi-automatic pistols such as the M1911. This P.08 Luger was made at the German Mauser factory in 1940 (BYF factory code), is Nazi proofed throughout (including magazine) and is visual numbers matching (no SN on magazine). 1964 Colt, 1 Of 250 "St. Louis Bicentennial" - SAA 2nd Gen. (4.75"), 22 LR, Revolver, SN - 0206SB

Lot # 15

The Colt Single Action Army (SAA) is a single-action revolver designed for the U.S. government service revolver trials of 1872 by Colt's Patent Firearms Manufacturing Com...morepany and was adopted as the standard military service revolver until 1892. At the beginning of World War II, Colt ceased production of the Single Action Army revolver to devote more time to filling orders for the war. When the war ended, the advent of television and Western themed movies created customer demand for the revolver so Colt resumed manufacturing in 1956 with the Second Generation line of Single Action Army revolvers. These Second Generation Colt Single Action Army revolvers were produced from 1956 to 1974. The Frontier Scout was born in 1957 and was made until 1970. It was 22 caliber SAA that was scaled down slightly and was lighter than its bigger bore brother. A Third Generation SAA began in 1975, characterized by a change in barrel thread pitch and a solid cylinder bushing replacing the removable/replaceable part from the first and second generations. This Colt SAA Frontier Scout (22 LR) 2nd Generation is 1 of 250 made in 1964 to commemorate the St. Louis MO Bicentennial (1764-1964). Features include a 4.75" barrel, polished blued finish (barrel, frame & cylinder) gold finish (ejector rod button, cylinder pin, hammer, trigger, screws, trigger guard and grip strap assembly), varnished walnut grips with gold Roaring Colt medallions and 6-round cylinder. This gun is in good condition with some light wear to include gold finish fading, has a sharp/ clean bore and appears to be in good working order. (A. Rex Winn Estate)

WWII German FN Browning, High Power (Pistole 640b), Semi-Auto, 9mm Luger, SN - 171913

Lot # 17

Relatively few weapons were used by both Allied and Axis forces in World War II. However, one handgun was virtually unique in that it was used by British and German force...mores who faced each other in combat – the Browning High Power pistol. The version originally sold by Fabrique Nationale Herstal (FN) from 1935 was identified as the “High Power.“ In 1954, the pistol was marketed through the Browning Arms Company (BAC) in the US, a subsidiary of FN. At that point, it became the “Hi-Power” to distinguish it from the High-Power hunting rifle also sold by BAC. The original design work on what would become the High Power pistol was started in the early 1920s in response to a French military requirement for a Grande Puissance (High Power) sidearm. This didn’t refer to the shooting power of the pistol, but to a requirement for a magazine which held at least ten rounds of 9mm ammunition – more than any contemporary semi-automatic service pistol. In response to the French requirement and on behalf of FN, John Browning produced and designed this full-size military sidearm with a locked-breech recoil system and a double column, sixteen-round magazine. By the early 1930s, he had produced a revised design for a single-action pistol with a double-stack magazine holding up to thirteen 9mm Parabellum rounds and featuring a complex trigger mechanism which extended up into the area of the slide in an attempt to keep the grip as slim as possible. The design was completed in 1935 and FN released it as the FN Model 1935. Around 35,000 High Power pistols were manufactured in Belgium up to 1939 and were largely used by Britain/ France, although Belgium was officially neutral in WWII. On May 10th, 1940, German forces invaded Belgium and the FN plant was captured virtually intact. At this time, FN Herstal continued to build guns for the Allied forces by moving their production line to a John Inglis and Company plant in Canada. In Belgium, the Nazis installed managers and technicians from Deutsche Waffen-und Munitionsfabriken (DWM) at FN Herstal, and used this as a production facility for ammunition and weapons, including the High Power pistol, re-designated the “Pistole 640(b)". Detailed records are very difficult to find, but it seems that the German 640(b) "High Power" was not issued to troops in the Wehrmacht (German Army), though it was provided to units of the Waffen-SS, the Brandenburg special forces battalion, and to combat units of the Luftwaffe including Fallschirmjäger (paratroopers). German adoption of the High Power was partly down to the fact that this pistol used the same cartridge as the two other main German service pistols of the period: the Luger and the Walther P-38. This Belgium FN Browning High Power (640b) is Nazi marked and features a 4.64" barrel, checkered walnut grips, serrated slide, round serrated hammer, dovetailed rear sight and 13-round magazine. This gun is in good condition with light wear, has a sharp/ clean bore and appears to be in good working order. (A. Rex Winn Estate)

1917 Winchester, Model 1892 Rifle, 38 W.C.F. (38-40 Win.), Lever-Action, SN - 816185

Lot # 18

The Winchester Model 1892, or Model 92, is a lever-action repeating rifle designed by John Browning in 1892. In order to compete with newer Marlin offerings, Winchester r...moreeturned to its roots with the Model 1892 which was chambered for the same low-pressure cartridges as the Model 1873. The Model 1892 incorporates a much-stronger Browning action that was a scaled-down version of the Model 1886. It was also a much lighter rifle than the 1873 model with which it was sold concurrently for over twenty years for the same price. A total of 1,004,675 Model 1892 rifles were made by Winchester, and it was exported internationally, becoming very popular in South America and Australia. Production ceased in 1941, due to WWII. The Winchester Model 92 was made popular again in the early 1950s through the 1970s due to its use in Hollywood Western movies and TV shows. This Winchester 1892 Rifle was made in 1917 and sports a smooth walnut stock with straight grip, crescent metal buttplate, 24" octagon barrel, adjustable elevator rear sight, dovetailed front sight and full length magazine tube. This gun is showing age, but still retains a nice sharp/clean bore and appears to be in good working order. (R. Richard Millar Estate)

1972 Colt, SAA "New Frontier" - 2nd Gen., 22 Mag. & LR, Revolver (W/ Box), SN - G31926

Lot # 19

The Colt Single Action Army (SAA) is a single-action revolver designed for the U.S. government service revolver trials of 1872 by Colt's Patent Firearms Manufacturing Com...morepany and was adopted as the standard military service revolver until 1892. At the beginning of World War II, Colt ceased production of the Single Action Army revolver to devote more time to filling orders for the war. A Third Generation began in 1975, characterized by a change in barrel thread pitch and a solid cylinder bushing replacing the removable/replaceable part from the first and second generations. A Cross-Bolt Safety was implemented in 1982. The New Frontier was introduced in 1961, and the name “New Frontier” took advantage of the slogan made popular by President John F. Kennedy. From the outset, the Colt New Frontier was to single-actions what the Colt Python was to double-action revolvers, the Cadillac of handguns. The target-sighted single-action came with a smooth action, attractive finish and high-visibility adjustable sights. This 2nd Generation Colt SAA "New Frontier" dual cylinder convertible was made in 1972, and sports a 6" barrel, black checkered grips with Roaring Colt & U.S. Crest, adjustable rear sight pinned to the channel, case hardened frame, Patridge front sight and comes in original box with both cylinders. This gun is in nice condition with no wear to speak of, has a sharp/ clean bore (possibly unfired) and appears to be in good working order. (R. Richard Millar Estate)

Lot # 22

Engraving has traditionally been reserved for very special guns, a way to set a highly prized personal possession or gift aside from the everyday pack. All the way from h...moreighly ornate and unique presentation pieces, through standardized patterns, to merely a name and a date; artistic engraving can add beauty to any gun, along with value and heirloom historicity. Engraved 1860's period Henry rifles are very rare, and extremely desirable to collectors. Recognizing that, Henry Repeating Arms is offering the "Original Henry Rifle" in a very distinctive Limited Edition, One-of-1000 version that duplicated the style and quality of a highly-engraved masterpiece of the gun-maker’s art from a long-gone era. The first limited edition run of 1000 Henry Original Deluxe Engraved rifles sold out very quickly, with Serial Number 1 being sold at the NRA Foundation’s auction for $83,000. Henry has decided to do a second 1000 production run of this outstanding reproduction of the original Henry rifle. It features an engraving pattern executed by master engraver Rob Bunting of a classic American scroll pattern. The pattern is duplicated on both sides of the hardened brass frame, and is cut, not molded, and then hand chased. Other features include a fancy American walnut stock, 24.5" octagon barrel with high gloss bluing, folding ladder rear sight, front blade sight, crescent polished brass buttplate and half cock safety. This gun appears to be unfired in box with paperwork and appears to be in perfect working order.
