*Auction Highlight* 1915-s Panama Pacific Old Commem Half Dollar 50c Graded Choice+ Unc By USCG (fc)

Lot # 209 (Sale Order: 156 of 591)

***Auction Highlight*** 1915-s Panama Pacific Old Commem Half Dollar 50c Graded Choice+ Unc By USCG. Exceptionally Rare Commemorative. The Pan Pac was Minted Along with ...more4 Other Coins to Commemorate the Completion of the Panama Canal and Distributed at the Panama Pacific Exposition in San Francisco which also Celebrated the Renewal of San Francisco since the Great Fire. When Examining the Pan Pac Half Dollar, Note that there is a Problem with Pan-Pac Halves in its Strike: Weakness is often Evident on Columbia’s Head, Cap, Arm and Body, also on the Eagle's Breast Feathers and Claws. Occasionally, Coins are seen with a Rim Indentation Near the Periphery on Each Side; this is a Mint Caused Problem and Should Not Be Factored Into the Grade. When Grading Lightly Circulated Examples, Friction is First Evident on Columbia's Shoulder and on the Eagle's Breast.

1928C $2 Red Seal United States Note Grades xf

Lot # 220 (Sale Order: 166 of 591)

1928C $2 Red Seal United States Note Grades xf. Series 1928C $2 Red Seal United States Note. Signature Morgenthau, KL#1616, FR#1504. The note features the famili...morear portrait of Thomas Jefferson that was used on all of our $2 bills through 2006, and the back shows the Monticello, Jefferson's home in Charlottesville, Virginia. These notes do not have the familiar "In God We Trust" motto above Monticello, though, as that motto was not added until 1957. The Large Red Seal is on the left and is bright. These notes are getting more difficult to come by.
