DESIGN: Double action top break with 5-shot cylinder. 4” solid rib barrel.
MATERIAL/FINISH COMPOSITION: Blued steel. Checkered black hard rubber grip panels with S&W monograms.
FEATURES: Blade front sight. Groove rear sight. Top of barrel stamped with manufacturer, address and patent dates.
CONDITION: Fine. A dark patina has replaced a good portion of the original finish. Modest pitting to barrel and front sight. Bore and cylinder are good. Grip panels show modest wear with some loss of material to the bottom of the right grip panel.

DESIGN: Muzzle loading single shot pistol. 1-1/2" barrel.
MATERIAL/FINISH COMPOSITION: Blued steel. Smooth one piece wooden grip panel.
FEATURES: No sights. Barrel unscrews from the frame. Hammer is mounted on top of frame. Side plates are engraved and marked, "OAKES" on left side and "LONDON" on the right side. Proof marks on bottom of frame.
CONDITION: Good. Little of the finish remains on metal components. Hammer and trigger work well. Moderate wear to grip with two longitudinal cracks in the wood and a small loss of material near the top tang on the left.

DESIGN: Black powder flintlock with removable 2-1/2” barrels.
MATERIAL/FINISH COMPOSITION: Iron construction. One piece smooth wood grip.
FEATURES: Both barrels unthread from the receiver. Barrel select lever on left side of frame has brass tip. The receiver is engraved on all sides. Trigger guard and lower tang are also engraved. Proof marks on bottom of frame in front of trigger guard.
CONDITION: Very good. Some pitting to metal surfaces. Frizzen, side lever, hammer and trigger all work. Hammer falls lightly when trigger is squeezed.

19th Century 3 Barreled Pepperbox Style Revolver

Lot # 4 (Sale Order: 4 of 290)      

SERIAL #: None
DESIGN: Percussion operated with rotating 5” barrels. Bores measure just shy of .40 at the muzzles.
MATERIAL/FINISH COMPOSITION: Steel construction. Two piece wood grip panels with wire and mother of pearl inlays.
FEATURES: Bead front sight on end of each barrel. Barrel latch on left side of frame allows barrels to be rotated by hand. Brass shield encircling the rear of the barrel assembly protects the other barrels' percussion caps. One barrel shroud is stamped "VERITABLE". Another is stamped "1852" and possibly "LD" in front of that. A medallion/coin mounted to right side of frame is stamped "1852" at the bottom. Lanyard ring at bottom of grip.
CONDITION: Very good. Dark patina on metal surfaces. Hammer and trigger work. Barrels rotate well. Grip panels show modest wear with some loss of material to the left panel just behind the trigger guard.

London Marked Percussion Pistol - .40 Cal.

DESIGN: Percussion operated with removable 3-1/2” barrel. Bore measures approximately .40" at the muzzles.
MATERIAL/FINISH COMPOSITION: Threaded metal barrel. Brass frame. One piece checkered wood grip panel.
FEATURES: Bead front sight. Floral engraved on receiver with the top marked, "A-W SPIPS" over "LONDON". Barrel unthreads from frame. Hammer and trigger guard are engraved. Small proof mark (crossed swords with a crown above them and letters below) is stamped on one of the barrel flats and bottom left front of frame. Engraved brass plate at bottom of grip has a small engraved metal trap door. There is also a shield shaped medallion mounted to the rear of the grip.
CONDITION: Very good. Light patina on metal surfaces. Hammer will not retract. Grip panels show modest wear. Trap door at bottom of grip works. No contents inside.

Civil War Confederate Officer Inscribed 1851 Navy

DESIGN: Percussion operated single action with 6-shot cylinder. 7-1/2” octagon barrel. .36 caliber.
MATERIAL/FINISH COMPOSITION: Blued steel. Upper tang, lower tang and trigger guard are brass. Smooth wood grip panels.
FEATURES: Blade front sight. Dovetailed notch sight at rear of barrel. Round trigger guard. "ADDRESS SAML COLT HARTFORD CT" stamped on top of barrel. Serial number matches on bottoms of barrel assembly, frame and trigger guard. "COLTS PATENT" stamped on left front of frame. Texas battle scene on cylinder. Brass tang at back of grip inscribed "F. H. LITTLE 11TH GA. V.I.". Research indicates Francis H. Little was a major with the 11th Regiment of the Georgia Volunteer Infantry from July 11, 1862 to November 8, 1862 at which time he became a colonel. This regiment was formed in the spring of 1861 and was assigned to Bartow's Brigade of the Army of the Shenadoah. The unit was mustered in on July 2, 1861 and mustered out on April 9, 1865 when it surrendered at the Appomattox court house in Virginia.
CONDITION: Very Good. Moderate pitting to metal surfaces. Significant fading to cylinder scene. Modest wear to grip panels. Inscription is faint but readable.

Patent dates and Colt's address on left side of slide in the middle. Right side of slide stamped "MODEL OF 1911 U.S. ARMY". Left side of frame stamped "UNITED STATES PROPERTY". Right side of frame stamped with the serial number. With one two-tone magazine, labeled reproduction box and brown wrap.

"RIA" (Rock Island Arsenal), the flaming bomb inspector mark and the "FK" inspector mark are stamped on right side of frame under the serial number.
