DESIGN: Percussion operated single action with 6-shot cylinder. 8” round barrel. .44 caliber.
MATERIAL/FINISH COMPOSITION: Blued steel. Brass trigger guard. Smooth wood grip panels.
FEATURES: Blade front sight. V-notch rear sight on tip of hammer. Texas Navy scene on round cylinder. Top of barrel stamped "-ADDRESS COL. SAML COLT NEW-YORK U.S. AMERICA-". Serial number matches on barrel assembly, frame, trigger guard and bottom of grip. "COLTS PATENT" stamped on left front of frame. Inspector's cartouche at bottom of each grip panel. Back strap of grip inscribed "BRIG. GENL JAMES BARNES 5TH CORP U.S.V. / FROM HIS OFFICERS AND STAFF". Brigadier General James Barnes was born December 28, 1801 in Boston, MA and died on February 12, 1869 in Springfield, MA. He graduated from the United States Military Academy in 1829 in the same class as Robert E. Lee. He spent most of his pre-war service as an instructor of tactics and French at the Academy. He resigned his commission on July 31, 1836 and was superintendent of Western Railroad for 22 years. Then on July 26, 1861 he became colonel of the 18th Massachusetts Regiment. He assumed command of the 1st Division on May 5, 1863 and in the most significant action of his career arrived at the Battle of Gettysburg early on the second day with the rest of the 5th Corp. After the war, Barnes returned to railroad civil engineering and was a member of the government commission that supervised the construction of the Union Pacific Railroad.
CONDITION: Fine. Cylinder scene is crisp. Minimal wear to grip panels. Cartouche on right grip panel very crisp. Cartouche on left grip panel is faint but easily seen. Inscription on back strap is excellent.

"UPRR" Inscribed Colt 1860 2nd Model Richards Conv

DESIGN: Richards conversion single action with 6-shot cylinder. 5-1/4” round barrel. .44 caliber.
MATERIAL/FINISH COMPOSITION: Blued steel. Brass trigger guard. Ivory grip panels. Richards conversions were produced in the 190,000 - 200,000 serial number range. Standard Richards type barrel with a space between face of conversion ring and rear of cylinder when viewed from the side. No integral sight on breechplate, cut away at top allowing hammer to directly strike the cartridge.
FEATURES: Brass bead front sight. V-notch rear sight on tip of hammer. Texas Navy scene on round cylinder. Top of barrel stamped "-ADDRESS COL. SAML COLT NEW-YORK U.S. AMERICA-". Serial number matches on barrel assembly, frame, trigger guard and bottom of grip. "-PAT.JULY.25.1871- / -PAT.JULY.2.1872.-" stamped on left front of frame. Back strap of grip inscribed "U.P.R.R. CO'S EXPRESS". This translates to Union Pacific Railroad Company's Express. This type of revolver was very much in style as the cross country railroad was nearing completion during this time.
CONDITION: Very good. Cylinder scene can be seen but is very faint. Signs of old pitting can be seen on metal surfaces. Moderate muzzle wear. Ivory grip panels show an aging patina as well as numerous longitudinal cracks. Inscription on back strap is modestly crisp.

Sheriff Dillingham Marked Colt SA Army & Ensemble

DESIGN: Single action with 6-shot removable cylinder. 5-1/2” round barrel. .45 Long Colt caliber.
MATERIAL/FINISH COMPOSITION: Blued steel. Checkered hard rubber grip panels with the rampant colt at the top.
FEATURES: Blade front sight. Groove rear sight. Loading gate with ejector. Top of barrel stamped "COLT'S PT. F. A. MFC. CO HARTFORD CT.U.S.A.". Back strap is marked "J.H. DILLINGHAM". John H. Dillingham was born on September 29, 1853 in Richmond, Kentucky and moved to Missouri as a baby. He went west as a young man and was appointed an officer for several months assisting in keeping law and order while at Butte, Montana. He returned to Missouri to marry and take up farming, but eventually was appointed city marshal of Platte City and held the post until April, 1896. He then became sheriff January 1, 1897. He was shot and killed while making an arrest on August 20, 1900. His death was quickly avenged by his son Henry who killed his father's slayer. No death was more widely and sincerely mourned in Platte county. ALSO INCLUDED WITH THE REVOLVER are: 1) Colt letter of authenticity for the single action army revolver (dated March 28, 2013); 2) Leather holster and belt ("98" is stamped in the leather belt at the holes for the buckle); 3) Set of handcuffs with a patent date of May 2, 1899; 4) Gold chain and gold plated pocket watch engraved with the initials "JHD".
CONDITION: Very good. Less than 30% of the finish remains on metal components. Signs of old light pitting on metal surfaces. Modest muzzle wear. Serial number matches on frame, trigger guard and bottom of grip. Grip panels show moderate wear with significant fading to the checkering. The inscription is clear with some fading to the letters in the name as well as the periods between the "J" & the "H". 1) The factory letter is excellent. 2) The leather of the holster and belt is still very supple with modest wear and cracking at the edges. 3) The handcuffs are very good with approximately 80% of the plating remaining. 4) Pocket watch shows wear to the glass cover and some loss of the plating on the rear.

FEATURES: Blade front sight. V-notch rear sight. The top front of the barrel assembly is stamped "1920 / 1915." Top of toggle action marked "DWM." The front grip strap is unit marked with "P.W. 1415." Butt stock lug at bottom of rear grip strap. Lanyard loop at top rear of frame. Serial number matches on various components. Please note there is no magazine with the pistol. Comes with unmarked brown leather holster with flap and two magazine pockets. Consignor reports that this pistol was brought back from WWII by his father who was a medic during the D-Day invasion.
CONDITION: Very good. Approximately 75% of the finish remains on metal components. Bluing loss on front grip strap. Light muzzle wear. Modest wear to grip panels with wear to the checkering at the bottom. Holster leather is supple with moderate discoloration to the outside flap.

"FB" stamped on right rear of frame at the top. Rampant colt stamped on left rear of receiver. Number on cylinder latch matches serial number of revolver. Lanyard ring at bottom of grip. Comes with US marked black leather holster stamped "FINK / 1942" on the back.
CONDITION: Good. Approximately 50% of the finish remains on metal components. Bore and cylinder are very good. Grip panels show modest wear. Holster is very good showing spotty verdigris. Leather is very supple.

FEATURES: Raised blade front sight. Rear adjustable sight. Knurled spur hammer. Flattop frame. This revolver has had extensive action and trigger work done by Peacemaker Specialties in California. Includes the Gunslinger action job with a 2-1/2 to 3 pound trigger, re-cutting the forcing cone at 11 degrees and adjusting the barrel for sight position among other items. The work order has been included for reference. Comes with original brown box, styrofoam inserts and papers.
CONDITION: Excellent. Approximately 95% + of the finish remains on metal components. Case colors are excellent. Very light handling marks. Bore and cylinder are very good. Minimal wear to grip panels. Box shows fraying and loss of material at the edges.
