It has been compared to known examples and is not made from parts or a replica. It is estimated that there were less than 100 made and is extremely rare to find one in this excellent condition.

WWII German Army Dovetail Officer Sword-Horster

This sword has the Horster logo under the crossguard shield and is hard to see however, what is interesting is that the blood groove goes half way over the logo. It has o...moreriginal sword knot which is poor condition and is holding together by just the wire threads. Brass handle, crossguard and wire wrap are tight. Blade is very bright with some very light nicks to blade and normal in/out wear. Tip is good. Scabbard show wear and age with couple of small rust spots on tip of drag. 29" blade and 36" overall. Civil War Era German Cavalry Sword-Blued Etched

Lot # 2324 (Sale Order: 389 of 535)      

This is very typical German made for the American civil War and may be pre-Civil War era. It Has a doubled etched blade with blued panel. The etching is of military drum,...more flag and bugle and floral pattern and still has some of the gold inlay. Base of spine has small vine pattern with trace gold color. The bluing is very worn but the panel shape and border lines are present. Tip is sharp and blade has very old edge sharpening with no nicks. Brass crossguard is loose and leather wrapped handle is solid and wire twist over the leather is broken and is only on 20% of handle. Leather blade washer is present. Brass scabbard has steel drag and one dent on mid way. 32" blade and 38.5" overall

WWII Late War Japanese Army Officer Samurai Sword

Lot # 2327 (Sale Order: 392 of 535)      

This sword is from the vet's family and is reported to be captured on Okinawa. It is a very interesting late war sword. The blade is dull at base near habaki and shows mu...morech wear and dings to blade edge from combat use. The combat scabbard is leather covered wood and is in very rough condition. The handle is shorter than normal and it appears to be a reworked damaged sword that was reissued and shortened. The shark skin is made of compressed paper and there is no hole for the peg to hold the tang. There may be one under the hilt end cap under the copper knot ring. This sword tells the story of an empire on the verge of defeat and how they armed their officers at that stage. Blade is 25.25" and overall is 36.5".

This sword is matching numbers 213455 on blade and scabbard throat. Before the blade number is kanji character. The blade is very bright with a lot of visible cross grain...moreing with little use but has 2 areas of (sword fighting?) nicks to blade edge. The scabbard shows wear and much some paint loss. The handle is tight and wood is in good condition with no chips or cracks. Pummel has wear. This is clearly a field used sword with character.

The Showa era 28" blade is dull at base near habaki and shows much wear and cleaning to blade edge. has 5 characters on tang and 3 red paint characters. The black lacquer...moreed wood scabbard has small "bird" shaped embedded pieces made from sea shells. The shark skin and wrap are tight. The lanyard ring at pummel has details of hands shaking hands. Sword had 9 metal sepas and one leather one. has original wood tang peg. Blade is 28" and overall is 40". This is an interesting sword with a great look.

Old Modern Japanese Temple Samurai Katana Sword

This sword is from modern era 1960s to 2000s of unknown origin. The blade is 28" and overall is 44". It is in the style of a grand temple or royal sword. Blade has a faux...more damascus pattern and serial number 43251 on the copper habaki. Has two kozukas made of copper with pattern on only one side of one and the other does not come out. The fitting appear to be gold finish over light base metal. The handle has real clothe wrap with one fish menuki on each side. Wooden black lacquered scabbard has hanger fittings and drag of Samurai with sword and bow. The sword has artifical aging along with real aging and wear. Good display sword.

This US pattern militia sword was made for Royal Arch Masons and has the scabbard tip cap marked with "HTWSSTKS" logo. It stands for “Hiram, Tyrian, Widow’s Son, Sent to ...moreKing Solomon.”. Blade is double etched floral pattern with name panels on both sides. Blade is dark with decent tip and no nicks to blade. Handle fittings are a little loose. White bone grip has no chips or cracks. Blade is 27" and overall 35.75". Leather wrapped steel scabbard has the Royal Arch acronym tip. Interesting sword.

WWII German Army Dovetail Sword-Numbered,Waffenamt

Lot # 2331 (Sale Order: 397 of 535)      

This very well marked and numbered Eickhorn sword has full logo under the crossguard shield and is hard to see it even with a flashlight. It appears to be the 1936 patter...moren logo. It is waffenamted twice on brass handle, twice on the bottom of crossguard and twice on the scabbard throat and tip of drag. It is numbered 2252 and "C.E./38" on both bottom of crossguard and sides of of black anodized scabbard. Numbered and waffenamted swords are reported to be for Ordnance officers. Handle and crossguard are tight and leather finger tab is present but in fragile condition. Blade is bright and last 1/4 shows much in/out wear and there are old coagulated oil spots. Spine of blade is marked "2". Blade is 31.5" and overall 38.25"The sword shows wear, age and tarnish. Scabbard has some wear and a bit of very thin old surface rust near tip. Early swords with this many proofs and markings are rare. WWII German Army Officer Lion Head Sword-E. Pack

This deluxe pattern sword has a full Ernst Pack & Söhne of Solingen logo and the blade is bright and shows age and in/out wear and has 8-10 small nicks to blade. The hand...morele and crossguard are tight and the lion has both red glass ruby eyes. Crossguard pattern is deluxe type with backstrap having highly detailed raised Acanthus leaf pattern with flower design handle tabs. Overall 36.5" long with 30.5" blade. Blade goes into scabbard smooth and tight. Crossguard has leather washer. Scabbard has some paint loss and shows wear. Still a pleasing sword. US Model 1860 Staff & Field Officer Sword-Late19th

This M1860 Staff & Field sword is from the late 19th Century. The double etched blade has very basic "US & Eagle" pattern. Blade is marked "G.W. Simmons & Co Boston Mass"...more and tip is good and blade has darkened with age. Has no nicks to edges. Handle and crossguard are fairly tight with play to pummel. Leather wrapped Handle shows wear and chips to black leather. Scabbard is well made and has 'x" marking at top of throat and shows age and wear but chrome is not flaking or blistering. 29" blade and 35.5" overall.
