Automobile, 1936 Ford 2-Door Sedan.

Lot # 1001 (Sale Order: 304 of 506)

Automobile, 1936 Ford 2-Door Sedan. When Ford introduced the 1936 year models the Model 68 2-door sedan kicked off well. Its 90 HP flathead had proven its value & perform...moreance. The body had chubby fenders and lines but it looked sturdy and a bit like it was leaning into the wind. They made four models that year and sold nearly a million in the line. Impressive numbers for the economic times. But it was affordable at $500 - $700. The country was coming out of the Great Depression and this was a popular car across a wide mix of the population. The Model 68 looked a lot like the infamous 1934 model that Bonnie & Clyde ended their career in. The '36 is often called a Gangster car. And it was, because that 90hp flathead was fast for the times! This car on the auction block is understandably easy to love. It was built by an old street rodder in Arkansas. And it shows extensive modifications from a distance. The top is chopped and it tells you there's more to see. That chop is a huge job on a sedan. It requires the top to be cut into 6 pieces. Then filled in to fit. All the glass has to be shortened along with the doors. On the doors, handles were removed and the door hinges were reversed to convert it to "suicide doors". This car comes with its own custom trailer and both car & trailer have aluminum Boyd Billet wheels. It has a matching Boyd Billet steering wheel. This '36 is powered by a 350 Chevy automatic. The paint graphics show the vintage "V-8" Ford emblem with a small Chevy Bowtie to signify the engine. The interior upholstery, front and back, carries the same theme. Vintage air, stereo and Heit front end make it a pleasure to drive. The trailer is painted with the same graphics as the car and has plenty of storage. Electronic gauges, no odometer. This Ford is a definite "head turner" and it's ready to pack the trailer and head home. VIN# 39224.

Automobile, 1954 Citroen.

Lot # 1002 (Sale Order: 305 of 506)

Automobile, 1954 Citroen. This car is nearly a twin to the other Citroen in this auction. This French car was originally designed in 1933 and was introduced in 1934. Th...moreis Citroen was made until 1955 without any body change. They do resemble the 1934 Ford and if you like that look, you'll like the looks of this Citroen. They have a 116ci 4 cylinder engine offering 54hp with a three speed transmission. They are a front wheel drive car, which was almost unheard of in 1934. During WWII, the Germans confiscated many of them for staff cars because they were front wheel drive and could negotiate the mud. Not many of them survived the war. The shift lever is on the dash rather than the column and the shift pattern is a mirror image of the standard "H" pattern on American cars. This one is a striking two-tone Silver and Maroon with a nicely restored and matching interior. Shows 36618 kilometers = 22,753 miles. VIN# 648742

Automobile, 1936 Chevy Standard 2-Door.

Lot # 1003 (Sale Order: 306 of 506)

Automobile, 1936 Chevy Standard 2-Door. Bought from another friend, Doug rescued it from a garage that had collapsed. Rodents had consumed the interior and the roof was c...moreaved in. It was also lacking an engine. A blank canvas in many respects. He always liked the '36 Chevy Standard Coach, it had that sloped rear. But he wasn't fond of the front end. He did however like the '32 Ford front end. So that was what he used. The '32 Ford grill and hood were made to match the '36 Chevy firewall. It looks great and at car shows, street rodders always ask what is it! Doug did all the work on this car. He used a Chassis Engineering rear suspension with a Ford 8" rear end. He then machined all the parts to add disc brakes to the straight axle front end. That's a project, disc brakes on a period straight axle. He then dropped in a Chevy 350 with a 4-speed and Hurst Shifter. Bucket seats were added to the interior along with custom gauges but the remainder of the interior is unfinished. The body is in white primer. This one is well on its way to being a classic street rod. The hard work is done. Now it's up to the cosmetics artist. When finished, this will be a great show car or street rod. VIN# 21FC0114556. Odometer shows 63.2 miles.

Automobile, 1973 Dodge Challenger.

Lot # 1004 (Sale Order: 307 of 506)

Automobile, 1973 Dodge Challenger 2-Door Hardtop Coupe. The late '60s and early 1970's witnessed an industry pullback from the monster muscle cars you could buy from the ...morefactories throughout the '60s decade. Building cars that didn't address shrinking fuel supplies and cars with too much power brought the government to “encourage” the auto industry to tone things down. And that they did. Many of the earlier 1970's cars still had that fast & ferocious look with a huge palate full of crazy colors, like Dodge Banana Yellow, Plum Crazy or Panther Pink.....even Hemi Orange. You could buy one for right around $3,000. They still looked sleek, fast & sexy, but without as much muscle. This 1973 Challenger would fit that look well. This one has the Rallye upgrades. The hood...and the hood vents help make it look fast. But under the hood is the standby Dodge 318ci 150hp engine. For just an extra $180, you could have popped for the 240 hp 340ci powerplant. On this Challenger, the VIN code shows 5th digit is G, for the 318. The original 318 engine and transmission has been replaced. It's powered through their TorqueFlite three-speed automatic transmission. That too has been replaced. Dodge built about 32,000 Challengers in 1973 and some fewer came with the Rallye package, automatic and 318 small block engine. So this isn't a common car. Those numbers still give it a somewhat rare moniker. This car could easily be a show winner and it's ready to drive. You can be certain it'll be a head turner when you're cruising with it. VIN #JH23G3B597840. Odometer shows 16,124 miles.

Automobile, 1978 Lincoln Continental Town Coupe.

Lot # 1005 (Sale Order: 308 of 506)

Automobile, 1978 Lincoln Continental Town Coupe'. A true gentleman's ride! But back in the early 1970's America was suffering through the Oil Embargo. Waiting in long lin...morees for gas and lowered speed limits was a memory that stuck with the automotive buying public. Those factors explain the softened production numbers on bigger, heavier luxury cars. This '78 2-door hardtop was one in a production run of just over 20,000. Back in the day Doug had one of these and loved the car. That's understandable. Gas was a lot cheaper and the 2-door Continental had everything. A short few years later he decided he needed two of them. The classy look is just the most visible part of the package. But there's a lot more: 460 V-8, leather, power everything, driving comfort and luxury beyond imagination. In later years he wanted to find another one in Metalic Green with green leather. After several years of searching, he found this beauty in gray. It is a wonderful car that drives and rides like the luxury cars did back then. VIN# 8Y81A931336. Odometer shows 46,937 miles.

Motorcycle, 2012 Harley-Davidson Trike.

Lot # 1006 (Sale Order: 309 of 506)

Motorcycle, 2012 Harley-Davidson Trike. Harley-Davidson knows how to build a Trike. And it's not like the one you had when you were a kid! This trike has everything a ki...mored could dream about. It's a beauty to look at and a beauty to pilot down the open road. Ordered new from Harley-Davidson in 2012. For cruising comfort, it has a Zeppelin Air Seat, stereo, cruise control, etc. And if you love horsepower, the twin cam air-cooled 1690cc 103hp power plant has been juiced up a bit. Extra punch comes for the big jugs, big valves, ported and polished heads, tuner from the fuel injection and true duals by Vance and Heins. It runs great and is a hoot to ride. And it has a lot of open road left to travel. VIN#1HD1MAM17CB855576. Odometer shows 9,978 miles.

Motor Scooter, 1969 Vespa 150 Sprint, Piaggio

Lot # 1006a (Sale Order: 310 of 506)

Motor Scooter, 1969 Vespa 150 Sprint, Piaggio. Most of the heavy industry in Europe went through a complete metamorphosis after WWII. Roads & factories were being rebuil...moret and the economy, like the roads, was in shambles. There was a need for economical transportation that met the needs of nations in rebuilding mode. The Piaggio family addressed that need. With family experience in aerospace, second generation Enrico Piaggio gave birth to the Vespa Culture. From miscellaneous parts and elements from their aerospace industry, the first Vespa was produced in 1946. It was designed by Corradino D'Ascanio. The look and the buzzing voice of the small engine is why it was given the name Vespa, Italian for wasp! A short ten years later, Piaggio sold its millionth scooter and a new market niche became a fashion statement. This Vespa is like its predecessors, easy on gas, with a 145cc single-cylinder 2-stroke air-cooled engine and stylish! It has that Vespa "Wasp" sound as you zip through town or explore side roads. It shows well in blue w/a Geglia Borletti speedometer and black leather upholstery. It's in older nicely restored condition. Has title, 40 miles driven since restored, complete w/spare tire & in VG+ running cond. This Vespa has been in storage for several years. Starts easily. Engine sounds good and runs well. When you take it off choke…it seems to want to stall under load. Likely needs carb adjustments or fuel system flushed. VIN: VLB1T059441.
