World War Two unissued, near mint condition Imperial Japanese Army (IJA) fur lined winter - cold weather hat. The labels sewn to the inside of the body indicate that this...more hat was manufactured in 1943, is size medium and main factory certified. The small tag reads Gyoda Supplies. Two piece felt on wool army insignia stitched to hat. No wear, tears or mothing to the wool body. The fur is full with no loss. Cloth ties show no wear. The only detectable flaw is a small amount of mottling on two of the buttons. Condition is such that it would be difficult to upgrade this example. In-house shipping is available. World War Two era Type 19 Kyu-Gunto officer's dress sword manufacturer stamped at the ricasso "TOKYO JAPAN SUYA". The chrome blade features a faux temper line. Small area...mores of the chrome plating have worn off. Leather grips are in excellent condition. The alternating straight/twisted wire is loose in a few areas. Leather washer at guard still present. There is a small bit of play between the grips and blade. Painted scabbard in very good condition with a few dings. Overall length is 34" with a 29" blade. Sword shows wear commensurate with use. The overall height...more is 12.5" including the 1" heel. The length of the boots from toe to back of heel is approx. 11.5". Nail pegged leather soles, heels, and heel plates. Each boot has two cloth pull straps attached to the upper interior. The leather uppers are still supple and pliable with some crazing present. The inner canvas lining of these boots show some wear particularly in the instep area. An identical pair of these aviation books can be seen on page 171 (image 674) Tadao Nakata's "Imperial Japanese Army and Navy Uniforms & Equipment" (1995 revised edition) where they are identified as "army air boots (summer)". WWII IMP. JAPANESE ARMY AIR SERVICE HALF BOOTS

World War Two Japanese Army Service - Air Force pilot half boots consisting of three piece brown leather construction with a canvas inner lining. Overall 9" height includ...moreing the 1" heel. The length of the boots from toe to back of heel is approx. 11". Nail pegged leather soles and heels. The leather uppers are still supple and pliable. Interestingly there is a field modification in the form of a hole made at the top back of each boot - most likely put there by the original wearer to secure together with a lace for storage. The inner canvas lining of the left boot has a small 2.5" separation along the seam and the right boot has two small 1' separations at the very top edge of the leather upper. An identical pair of these aviation books can be seen on page 171 (image 670) Tadao Nakata's "Imperial Japanese Army and Navy Uniforms & Equipment" (1995 revised edition) where they are identified as "army aviation half boots".Very good condition showing wear consistent with war time use. World War Two Imperial Japanese Army (IJA) Type 96 cold weather shoes manufactured in 1943 in Korea as indicated by the stampings on the soles. These officer/NCO grade sh...moreoes appear to be unissued and exhibit only minimal storage wear. The fur lining is still intact. Shoelaces and eyelets are original with minor surface rust on some of the eyelets. Heel and toe sections of the outsoles have nailed rubber reinforcements that have Japanese characters. The canvas uppers are stamped size "11.3". An identical pair of these army cold weather shoes can be seen on page 170 (image 668) Tadao Nakata's "Imperial Japanese Army and Navy Uniforms & Equipment" (1995 revised edition) where they are identified as "army cold shoes". WWII IMPERIAL JAPANESE NAVY OFFICER IDED CAP

World War Two identified Imperial Japanese Navy officer's visor hat. The blue lining is complete and has a stitched label that identifies the owner as Hattori Yoshio and ...morethe manufacturer as the 2nd Clothing and Provision Factory II. The cap's one-piece dark blue wool crown retains the internal stiffening wire along its edge. The woven black center band is seamed at the front over which is affixed with the standard Japanese Naval officer insignia - a gilt embroidered wreath surrounding a gilt fabric-ringed "button," upon whose convex, dark blue background is fixed a gilt alloy fouled anchor. The sweatband and visor are complete and show some wear as shown in the photographs. The dual adjustment chinstrap is affixed to the hat by embossed anchor/cherry blossom buttons. This cap is in overall excellent condition with no mothing. In-house shipping is available.
