Signed Master Dangerous Game Scene Engraved Blaser R8 Rifle

Lot # 1551 (Sale Order: 551 of 674)

Magnificent Signed Master Dangerous Game Scene Engraved Blaser R8 Straight Pull Bolt Action Rifle Two Barrel Set with Case

Manufactured as the newest iteration of the iconic Blaser straight pull rifle series. The R8 features an upgraded magazine/trigger group design over the magazine insert system of previous Blaser rifles. The most well known feature of Blaser takedown rifles is the scope mounting to the chamber of the removable barrels allowing zero to be kept when changing calibers, giving the shooter the option of switching barrels in a matter of minutes for a whole host of quarry. The barrel fitted to this rifle is a 300 Winchester Magnum barrel with ramped beaded blade front sight and express rear sight. The chamber bears the model and caliber marking as well as having a spray of relief floral scroll engraving on top. The bolt body is engraved to match the chamber and is fitted with an engraved bolt knob showing a flower on the bottom with a gold center dot and gold inlaid bands above and below the knurling. The receiver has been masterfully engraved, displaying floral scroll engraving surrounding game scenes of egret and cape buffalo on the left, a pair of lions on the right, and a cheetah on the trigger guard. The lower front edge of both sides of the action are signed "inc. Hassa". The rifle is mounted in a magnificently contrasted and figured multipoint checkered walnut forend and buttstock with contrasting forend tip, elephant engraved coin grip cap, shadowline cheekpiece, and Universal recoil pad. Includes a Blaser takedown case for the rifle and an extra matching engraved .416 Remington Magnum barrel.
