Gebruder Merkel Model 303EL Sidelock Over/Under Shotgun

Factory Master Ralph Weiss Signed, Engraved, and Gold Inlaid Gebruder Merkel Model 303EL Hand Detachable Sidelock Over/Under Shotgun

Gebruder Merkel has long been a standout amongst the many famous makers from Germany's Suhl region, with this gun being a shining example of the level of craftsmanship that the company is capable of achieving. Built with blued Spezial Laufstahl barrels which feature a single white bead sight on the matted solid rib, standard Merkel markings on the upper tube, 1985 dated German proofs, and chambers marked 2 3/4 inches with automatic ejectors. The barrels are adorned with tight scroll engraving at either side of the chambers around a relief gold inlaid bouquet of flowers on either side. The barrels are fitted to a beautifully casehardened bolstered hand detachable sidelock action which displays gorgeous tight Purdey style bouquet & scroll engraving with the bouquets executed fine relief gold inlay. The engraving and gold bouquets extend onto the triggerguard, toplever, and lower tang with only scrollwork seen on the upper tang. The toplever is signed "R.WeiSS" by factory Master Engraver Ralph Weiss. The gun features double triggers with the front being articulated, bright cocking indicators on either lockplate, and a tang mounted manual safety. The gun is mounted with an exceptionally well-figured and multi-point checkered three-piece forend with casehardened and engraved fittings as well as a straight grip stock with teardrop carved drop points and a checkered bare butt. Barrel and stock measurements (U/O): bore diameter nine inches from the breech both proofed at 18.4mm (.724 inches) and measured .726/.725 inches; choke constriction .032/.041 inches; minimum wall thickness .044/.043 inches; 1 7/16 inch drop at comb; 2 5/16 inch drop at heel; 14 3/8 inch length of pull; cast-off; weight 7 lbs. 4 oz.

Hauptmann African Big Five Themed Dangerous Game Ejector Rifle

Outstanding Factory Master Game Scene Engraved and Gold Inlaid Karl Hauptmann African Big Five Themed Sidelock Dangerous Game Ejector Double Rifle in 470 Nitro Express with Case

The Karl Hauptmann company has been producing fine hunting arms such as this exquisite piece since 1939. Today the company is operated by the third generation of the Hauptmann family who continues the legacy building a full range of stunningly beautiful guns and rifles, including the famous Hauptmann Triple Rifle. This rifle, completed in 2007, is built with blued steel chopperlump barrels which feature a ramped beaded blade front sight with a flip-up moon bead and a three leaf (two folding, one standing) rear sight with gold inlaid centerlines on the raised rear quarter rib. The sunken portion of the rib is inlaid "KARL HAUPTMANN - FERLACH" in gold and flanked by tight scroll engraving, the quarter rib is engraved with more fine tight scroll and inlaid "CAL. .470 N.E." in gold, and the breech has a pair of gold bands and flourishes of scroll. The barrels flats are marked with standard 2005 dated Austrian proofs along with an import mark on the right barrel beneath the forend. The barrels are fitted to a gorgeous, highly embellished, coin finished, bolstered sidelock action which displays tight scrollwork with gold inlaid borders and lattice work surrounding game scenes depicting African dangerous game. The scenes consist of a pair of rhinoceros and a pair of egrets taking flight on the left lockplate, the underside of the action shows a bull elephant staring down the viewer along with a roaring lion, the right lockplate shows four cape buffalo bulls and a trio of fleeing impala, the triggerguard has a roaring cheetah, and finally there is a leopard on the toplever mirrored on both sides. All of the scenes are cut in outstanding detail giving great depth. The rifle features bushed firing pins, a right hand rolled triggerguard, double gold triggers (front articulated), and a tang mounted manual safety with gold inlaid "S". The rifle is mounted with a brilliant highly figured and multi-point checkered beavertail forend with engraved and gold inlaid fittings and a pistol grip stock with coin finished trapdoor grip cap, shadowline cheekpiece, gold inscription oval marked "HK", and a black leather wrapped recoil pad. Includes an oak & leather takedown case with canvas cover, factory label, oiler, snap caps, and cleaning tools. Length of pull 15 3/16 inches. Weight 11 lbs.

Factory Master Ferruccio Iora Signed and Engraved Fabbri Tipo Piccione Extra Sidelock Double Barrel Shotgun

Ivo Fabbri got his start in firearms along side one of the most well-known names in the business, Daniele Perazzi. After they split, Perazzi went on to create arguably the world's finest sporting guns, and Fabbri perused his dream to build the finest guns in the world, with this gun being true to that end. Fabbri only builds some 30 guns a year, each is hand crafted from the ground up by some of Italy's finest craftsmen. Built with blued Bohler Super Blitz Steel chopperlump barrels featuring dual nickel bead sights on the matted flat solid rib, left tube marked with standard markings, right tube marked with the original owners name, bands of engraving at the breech, 1969 dated Italian proofs, and 2 3/4 inch chambers with automatic ejectors. The barrels are fitted to a casehardened sidelock action which displays highly attractive extensive scroll engraving with interspersed ribbons and bouquets all surrounding bright action pins and a banner on the underside reading "ARMI FABBRI BRESCIA". The scrollwork the extends onto the triggerguard, toplever, and the upper and lower tang where it surrounds the serial number in a banner. The engraving is signed on the triggerplate "F.IORA INC." for Italian Master Engraver Ferruccio Iora who executed the work. The gun features a single non-selective trigger, cocking indicators, and a tang mounted manual safety. The gun is mounted with a highly-figured and multi-point checkered beavertail forend with engraved blued fittings and inlaid engraved pigeon and straight grip stock with "J.C." inlaid in gold directly into the wood and a factory rubber recoil pad. Barrel and stock measurements (R/L): bore diameter nine inches from the breech both measured 18.5mm (.728 inches) and measured .733/.728 inches; choke constriction .020/.031 inches; minimum wall thickness .029/.031 inches; 1 3/8 inch drop at comb; 2 1/8 inch drop at heel; 14 inch length of pull; weight 7 lbs. 6 oz.

Highly attractive coin finished sidelock action displaying deep carved fences and nicely executed floral scroll engraving with floral bouquets interspersed and "V. BERNARDELLI SPA." marked on the underside. The engraving is signed on the triggerplate "Italo/Bonomi". The gun features a single trigger and a tang mounted safety. Beautifully figured, multi-point checkered forend with blued engraved shoe and coin release and pistol grip stock with checkered bare butt. Includes a wood & leather takedown case. Very Fine Katryn Nonn Signed and Factory Game Scene Engraved Krieghoff Sidelock Drilling with Swarovski Scope

Built with blued steel barrels featuring a blade front sight, flip-up rear sight, and scope mounts holding a Swarovski Z8i 1-8x24mm scope on the matted solid rib, bands of engraving at the breech, front sling stud, import mark under forend, 2009 dated German proofs, and chambers with automatic ejectors. The shotgun barrels have 3 inch chambers and choke constrictions of .017/.027 inches. The barrels are mated to a highly attractive coin finished hand detachable sidelock action which displays gorgeous oak leaf engraving around a "KRIEGHOFF" banner on the underside and a pair of beautifully cut game scenes, one on either side. The left game scene shows a drift of four wild boars rummaging for a meal amongst the trees and the left side shows a roe buck with his doe and two fauns standing among the trees, both were cut in exceptional detail by the hand of factory engraver Katryn Nonn who has signed the piece "Nonn" on the left below the scene. The gun features two gold triggers (front is single set), shotgun cocking indicators, tang mounted manual rifle cocking piece, and a tang mounted safety. The gun is fitted with a highly-figured and multi-point checkered forend with engraved fittings and a pistol grip stock with raised Bavarian style cheekpiece, rear sling stud, and a rubber recoil pad. Length of pull 14 1/2 inches. Weight 9 lbs. 11 oz. (with scope).

Built with blued Bohler steel barrels featuring a beaded blade front sight, flip-up rear sight, and German style claw mounts holding a Zeiss Diavari-ZM 1.5-6x42mm T* scope on the matted solid rib which is marked with a gold "1" at the base. The barrels bear Fortuna maker's marks, front sling swivel, attractive scroll engraving around the breech, import mark under the forend, 1964 dated German proofs, and chambers with automatic ejectors. The shotgun barrel features a 2 3/4 inch chamber and a choke constriction of .037 inches. The barrels are mated to a very attractive coin finished hand detachable sidelock action which displays scroll engraving surrounding "FORTUNA SUHL" on the underside along with a pair of mallards as well as a game scene on either lockplate consisting of a pair of dogs running a pair of boars on the left and a red stag with a pair of hinds on the right. The gun features double triggers (front single set), cocking indicators, and a tang mounted safety with gold inlaid "s" indicator. The gun is fitted with an attractively figured and multi-point checkered three-piece forend with engraved fittings and a pistol grip stock, polymer grip cap, raised cheekpiece, rear sling swivel, and horn buttplate. Included with the gun are three extra barrels sets, all of which utilize the same forend, the first is a 25 5/8 inches double 9.3x74R barrel set with a Zeiss Diavari-C 1.5-4.5x18mm scope, the second is a 25 5/8 inches double 7x65R barrel set with a Zeiss Diavari-Z 2.5-10x52mm T* scope, and the third is a double 16 gauge set with 2 3/4 inch chambers and choke constrictions of .030/.037 inches. Also included is a wood and leather takedown case that fits the action, four barrels, and one scope. Length of pull 14 3/4 inches. Weight 9 lbs. 4 oz. (with scope).

Cosmi Break Action Semi-Automatic Shotgun Two Barrel Set

Founded by Rudolfo Cosmi, the firm has built a reputation amongst shooters as a manufacturer of extremely well shooting guns over the years. Remarkably, this design dates to around the turn of the 20th century, Cosmi guns appear to be both futuristic while also hearkening to the past with its unique break action semi-automatic action. The gun is operated by breaking the action to expose the internals, loading shells in the magazine tube which is housed in the stock, placing a round in the chamber, then manually cocking the hammer before closing the action and making the gun read to fire. The gun is built with a blued Bohler Antinit steel barrel featuring single bead sight on the matted vent rib, 1992 dated Italian proofs, 2 3/4 inch chamber, and interchangeable choke improved cylinder. The blued action is unadorned aside from a gold "2" on the toplever, a single button on the left, and the Cosmi factory marking on the left side reading "COSMI - BREV.' ANCONA - ITALY". Highly attractive, contrasting straight figured, multi-point checkered forend and pistol grip stock with blank gold inscription oval and a leather faced rubber recoil pad. Included is an extra matching numbered 29 5/8 inch barrel with an improved modified choke installed. Stock measurements: 1 3/8 inch drop at comb; 2 1/4 inch drop at heel; 14 5/16 inch length of pull; weight 8 lbs. 6 lbs.

The left side scene displays a stag in a wooded scene, and the right side has a chamois in a rocky mountainous scene. Mounted in a straight grain multipoint checkered walnut forend and pistol grip stock with Bavarian cheekpiece and Pachmayr recoil pad. Includes a Krieghoff takedown case.

The game scenes on gun "A" consist of a quail in flight on the left side of the action, a pointing setter in field on the underside, and a rooster pheasant in flight over a field on the right while the "B" gun shows the same subjects on the underside and left side but a duck descending on the right. Both guns are signed "Badillini" to the right of the trigger for Italian Master Engraver Giacomo Badillini. Each of the guns feature a single selective gold trigger and a tang mounted manual safety with a gold inlaid "S" safe indicator. The guns are both fitted with a highly-figured and multi-point checkered forend with engraved coin fittings including the Deeley style latch with a gold "I" or "II" and a straight grip stock with a blank gold inscription oval and a checkered bare butt. Gorgeous Factory Master Metschiunig Signed, Engraved, and Gold Inlaid Karl Hauptmann Sidelever Single Shot Rifle (Kipplauf) in .375 H&H Magnum with Zeiss Scope

The Karl Hauptmann company has been producing fine hunting arms such as this exquisite piece since 1939. Today the company is operated by the third generation of the Hauptmann family who continues the legacy building a full range of stunningly beautiful guns and rifles, including the famous Hauptmann Triple Rifle. This rifle (completed in 2007) was built with a blued steel barrel featuring a beaded bladed island front sight, two leaf (one standing, one folding) rear sight on the rear quarter rib, front sling stud, and a set of claw mounts holding a Zeiss Diavari M 2.5-10x50mm T* scope which has a beautifully scroll engraved front scope ring around the objective housing. The caliber is marked on the top barrel flat "-.375 HOLLAND & HOLLAND-" in gold, the chamber area is outlined by a gold inlaid line, "KARL HAUPTMANN FERLACH" inlaid in gold under the forend, 2006 dated Austrian proofs, and an import mark under the forend. The barrel is fitted to a bolstered casehardened sidelock action which is operated by a sidelever along the right side of the gun. The action displays outstanding extensive scroll engraving covering nearly the entire surface and surrounding the gold inlaid makers mark "KARL/HAUPTMANN/FERLACH" on the underside before extending onto the triggerguard, both tangs, and the sidelever. The triggerplate is signed "Metschiunig" for the engraver. The rifle features a bushed firing pin, a gold arrow cocking indicator, and a tang mounted manual safety with gold inlaid "SAFE" marking. The rifle is mounted with an outstanding highly figured and multi-point checkered forend with an ebony tip and casehardened and engraved fittings including a lever release catch and a rotating switch which turns the ejector system on and off, and with a pistol grip stock featuring a casehardened and engraved grip cap with "HK" monogram inlaid in gold, gold inscription oval marked "2", a shadowline cheekpiece, rear sling stud, and a Pachmayr recoil pad. Includes a metal takedown case, snap cap, and the factory test target. Length of pull 14 13/16 inches. Weight 10 lbs. 6 oz. (with scope).

This is an example of the height of Winslow Arms craftsmanship, The Emperor Grade rifle, a truly fitting title. Built on a Mauser style action. The barrel is manufactured without sights with deeply relief engraved and gold inlaid wedges of oak leaves and acorns near the muzzle. Features a full 6 inch wedge of highly detailed high relief oak leaves in gold inlay with a lightly textured punch dot background terminating at the receiver ring with a small gold inlaid buffalo. The receiver itself is stunningly engraved with high relief gold inlaid animals with a running elk on the right front, a big horn sheep on the left front and even a fox and duck at the right rear. This is all surrounded by intricate oak leaf and acorn scroll that has all been gold inlaid in a high relief. Mounted with scope bases and rings that have been engraved and inlaid to match with a prong horn on the front ring and a bobcat on the rear which hold a 3-9X Redfield scope. The bolt handle knob has an inlaid gold bears head and the trigger guard features an inlaid buck. The stock work is just as elaborate as the metal with deeply carved basket weave checkering and delicate "S" scrolls and detailed oak leaves and acorns. Features contrasting black and white inlay on the sides, the classic Winslow "knights head" logo and a beautifully detailed leaping tiger on the right side of the stock signed "N. HULTGREN" for Nils O. Hultgren, the renowned stock maker and wood carver. Even the receiver screws on the underside are engraved with gold inlay. The stock features the Winslow signature swept pistol grip and roll over cheek piece with sling swivel studs and a Winslow Arms vented recoil pad. Includes a copy of "The Ohio Collectors Association" featuring the rifle on the cover. The rifle was also on the cover of the Winslow catalog.
