C. Sharps Arms, Model 1875 Sporting Rifle (24" Barrel), 38-56 Win., Falling Block, SN - 0-992

Lot # 49

The original 1875 Sharps Rifle is the rarest of all the Sharps Rifle models. In its original form, only five prototype 1875 rifles are known to have been built with all f...moreive differing slightly from one another. The 1875 Model was conceived by Christian Sharps as a stronger, lighter, and simpler rifle to manufacture. C. Sharps Arms Co. founder John Schoffstall redesigned the 1875, continuing the legacy of Christian Sharp's thoughts for the 1875 Model. John applied modern manufacturing techniques to it, which resulted in a stylish yet rugged C. Sharps Arms 1875. Through the use of high-quality investment casting, the 1875 receiver is made into a light but extremely strong action. The 8620 steel investment receiver castings undergo high-quality machining, hand fitting, and a quality control process. This 1875 Sporting Rifle combines all of the attributes of a fine single-shot hunting rifle with great balance, maneuverability and reliability. Features include a smooth walnut stock with Schnabel fore-end, case hardened receiver, checkered metal buttplate, 24" heavy round barrel, adjustable semi-buckhorn rear sight and dovetail blade front sight. This gun is in same-as-new condition with a sharp/ clean bore and appears to be in good working order. Duane “Jim” Smith Estate

Winchester, Model 1885 Low Wall, 22 LR, Falling Block, SN - 0000EF0755

Lot # 51

With the introduction of the Model 1885, the world of single shots was given a welcomed addition. In 1885 competitive target shooting in America had the stature of profes...moresional golf, or even major league football has today. Huge matches were held at places like Creedmoor, New York. Spectators would number in the thousands. The 1885 was uniquely suited to the long-range accuracy shooting of the day. The Model 1885 was the first and perhaps one of the greatest of all the John Moses Browning designs. It was conceived of and created by Browning in the frontier pioneer town of Ogden, Utah, in 1878. Not only was it the first he produced, but it was the gun that started his relationship with the Winchester Repeating Arms company. The partnership began in 1885, and the Single Shot became the Model 1885 Winchester. The Winchester re-creation of the iconic M1885 has all of the same attributes as the original, but with modern advancements. This Model 1885 Low Wall features an oiled walnut stock with checkered forearm & Schnabel tip, metal crescent buttplate, 24" octagon/ round barrel, Burris scope mounts with rings, rear dovetail sight insert, dovetailed front bead sight and sling studs. This gun is in beautiful condition with a couple very light scratches, has a sharp/ clean bore and appears to be in good working order. Duane “Jim” Smith Estate

1980's Valmet - Finland, 412ST Premium Deluxe Trap, 12 Ga., Over/ Under, SN - 282888

Lot # 63

The Valmet firm, established in 1926 in the town of Jyvaskla in Finland, was made world famous for the 412-shooting system. The Valmet Model 412 was a nicely made Europea...moren combination gun that earned a good reputation for itself, primarily in Europe and Britain. Its design was very much like the Remington 32 (i.e. 3200) and was built to provide a shooting system based around an over/under double shotgun style barrel break action with the option to buy shotgun, rifle/shotgun combination, and/or double rifle barrel sets for it. The Valmet Model 421 used a monobloc system for barrel attachment, and featured a single trigger. The safety catch was automatic and the trigger system was mechanical, so it did not depend on recoil to reset the trigger to enable the second shot. So if a first shot failed to discharge for some reason the second one would fire when the trigger was released and depressed the second time. Valmet made many versions of the 412 until they were discontinued (Valmet was bought by Tikka) in 1987. The top of the line being their 412ST (Special Trap) models. This Model 412ST features a brushed nickel receiver, checkered walnut contoured stock with high fluted comb/ palm swell grip & gloss finish, gold trigger, black Pachmayr vented rubber buttpad with white/ black spacers, 32" ported 12 gauge barrels with F/ IM choke tubes, serrated vent-rib with silver mid bead sight & orange fiber-optic front bead sight, ejectors, tang safety/ barrel selector, 2 3/4" chamber and 14.5" LOP. This gun is in nice condition with some various light wear, to include a repaired rib and some bluing wear at the muzzle, has a nice/ tight action and appears to be in good working order. In 1911, the U.S. Army adopted the finest combat handgun ever fielded, the Colt Government Model of 1911, designed by John Moses Browning. The 1911 was a triumph of desig...moren and a great handgun in every sense of the word. The pistol served as the standard-issue sidearm for the United States Armed Forces from 1911 to 1985 and is widely regarded by gun historians as the best firearm design to date. Battlefield experience in World War I led to some small external changes to the M1911, completed in 1924, the new version was called the M1911A1. Today, the 1911A1 is a treasured handgun among Elite Military Units and will always hold great value with Firearm Collectors. The Colt Commander Model was first produced in 1949 as a lightweight variation of the popular Colt Model 1911 automatic pistol. It was produced in a new aluminum alloy that made it significantly lighter than the typical all-steel construction. In 1970 an all-steel version appeared, known as the Combat Commander. This 1911A1 Combat Commander was made in 1978 (steel frame) and features a 4.25" barrel, serrated slide with polished blued finish, Pachmayr black rubber checkered grips with front strap, serrated rear strap, dovetail rear sight, beavertail grip safety, serrated round hammer, serrated adjustable aluminum trigger and 7-round steel magazine. This gun is in nice condition with light wear, has an excellent sharp/ clean bore and appears to be in good working order. Duane “Jim” Smith Estate

1980's Valmet - Finland, 412S Combo, 12 & 20 Ga., Over/ Under, SN - 264525

Lot # 65

This Model 412S features a blued receiver, checkered walnut contoured stock with fluted comb and oiled finish, black padded buttpad with black spacer, 28" 12 gauge F/M barrels with serrated vent-rib & dual bead sights, 26" 20 gauge M/IC barrels with serrated vent-rib & dual bead sights, ejectors, tang safety/ barrel selector, 2 3/4" chamber and 14" LOP. This gun is in nice condition with some light wear, has a nice/ tight action and appears to be in good working order. Duane “Jim” Smith Estate
