1973 Winchester (First Year), Super-X Model 1 (Multi-Barrel), 12 Ga., Semi-Auto, SN - M5310

Lot # 27

This one-owner Super-X Model 1 was purchased in 1973 (First Year Production). The Super-X Model 1 is considered Winchester's last attempt at greatness. Stinging from the ...morebarrage of post-1964 criticism, in 1968 Winchester decided they were going to do it right, developing a new autoloading shotgun with no compromises in build quality, using only machined steel and walnut. The multi-million dollar journey began, ending in 1973 with the release of the Super-X Model 1. Winchester designed and built complete new machining centers for the Super-X Model 1, but despite the time and effort, the Model 1 was costly to produce. From 1973-1979, the Winchester Super-X Model 1 was the best-built gas autoloader on the planet. The last Super-X Model 1 was made in 1978 and all sales after that date were "cleanup". Winchester was sold to the employee formed U.S. Repeating Arms Company in 1981, which went bankrupt in 1989. Sales of the Super-X Model 1 have been reported as late as 1984. The passing of the Winchester Super-X Model 1 was the passing of an era. It was the end of Olin-Winchester firearms, and it was the end of any new attempts at the “proper autoloader”. This gun features a checkered walnut stock with fluted comb, black rubber recoil pad, black grip cap, 30" FULL barrel with silver bead front sight, 26" IMP CYL barrel with silver bead front sight, jeweled bolt, jeweled shell lifter, 2 3/4" chamber and 14.25" LOP. This gun is in nice condition with very light wear and is in perfect working order. Jerry McKamy Estate

Kimber, Tactical Custom II, 45 ACP Cal., Semi-Auto (W/ Box & Magazines), SN - K331132

Lot # 30

Kimber Tactical models have all the performance enhancing features demanded by law enforcement and military personnel. Safety, accuracy and power are important but depend...moreability is paramount. Kimber Tactical models were designed with that in mind. They also include some of the most popular Custom Shop carry features. The frame of each Tactical is machined from proven 7075-T7 aluminum. These frames are dramatically lighter than those cut from steel yet every bit as strong. The new Kimber Tactical Extractor is another standard feature. Extremely reliable under even the toughest field conditions, it is a logical addition for a pistol that might receive infrequent cleaning. It never needs adjusting and works equally well with light practice loads or heavy carry ammunition. The Custom Shop’s Premium Aluminum Trigger breaks between four and five pounds with minimal creep or overtravel. Kimber trigger quality is without peer in production semi-automatic pistols, and a great trigger makes a huge contribution to accurate shooting. Meprolight three dot dovetail night sights with Tritium inserts make the rounded and blended low profile sights stand out even in low light conditions. In daylight they also provide white dots for fast reference. Extended ambidextrous thumb safety and laminated logo grips round out the Custom Shop parts. Each model also has a matte black extended and beveled magazine well for fast reloading, and each magazine is fitted with a bumper pad. Other features include a Charcoal Gray KimPro II finish, front & rear slide serrations, 5" match grade stainless barrel with 1:16 twist, stainless steel match grade bushing, serrated front & rear straps, serrated trigger guard and 7+1 standard capacity. This gun is in same-as-new condition with a couple very light small scratches, has a perfect bore and comes in original black hard case with (1) 7-round Kimber magazine and (2) 7-round Wilson Combat magazines.

The Kimber legacy of offering the finest production firearms available today continues with the Solo, a new pistol that puts the power of the 9 mm cartridge in a micro-co...morempact size usually reserved for smaller calibers. 1918/24 British/ New Zealand, Enfield No.2 MKIV Training Rifle, 22 LR Cal., Bolt-Action, SN - 7244

Lot # 33

The Lee–Enfield is a bolt-action, magazine-fed repeating rifle that served as the main firearm of the military forces of the British Empire and Commonwealth during the fi...morerst half of the 20th century and was the British Army's standard rifle from its official adoption in 1895 until 1957. Some Lee–Enfield rifles were converted to .22 caliber training rifles in order to teach cadets and new recruits the various aspects of shooting, firearms safety, and marksmanship. Initially, rifles were converted from obsolete Magazine Lee–Metford and Magazine Lee–Enfield rifles, but from the First World War onwards SMLE rifles were used instead. These were known as .22 Pattern 1914 Short Rifles during the First World War and Rifle, No. 2 Mk. IV from 1921 onwards. They were generally single-shot affairs, originally using Morris tubes chambered for the .22LR cartridge and some larger types circa 1907. Some were later modified with special adaptors to enable magazine loading. In 1914, Enfield produced complete .22 barrels and bolts specifically for converting .303 units, and these soon became the most common conversion. No. 2 Mk. IV rifles are externally identical to a .303 caliber SMLE Mk III* rifle, the only difference being the .22 caliber barrel, empty magazine case, bolt head and extractor which have been modified to fire .22 caliber rimfire cartridges. This .22 Pattern 1914 Short Rifle was converted to a 22 Trainer for New Zealand in 1924 and sports the following markings ; Buttstock Disc - "NZ" (New Zealand) and "7 24" (July 1924) over 2281, Top Receiver/ Barrel - "NZ" (New Zealand), Grip Band - "CR (Crown)/ ENFIELD/ 1918/ SHT '22/ IV X", Bolt - "22 No.2", along with various British Proof Stamps throughout. Features include a 25" barrel, empty magazine case, flip-up adjustable rear battle sight with ears, front post sight with ears, brass butt plate with rod compartment, canvas sling and bayonet lug. This gun is in good condition with light wear, has a sharp/clean bore and is in excellent working order. Jerry McKamy Estate

Lot # 40

The United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) issued requirements in 2005 for a new .45 ACP service pistol and requested interested firearms' manufacturers to su...morebmit models for field trial testing. Circa 1920 Spanish Eibar, Ruby Pistol, 32 ACP Cal., Semi-Auto, SN - 47539

Lot # 46

One of the more successful early automatic pistol designs of the turn of the century was John Browning’s Colt and FN 1903. A couple years after the release of the M1903, ...moreSpanish shops quickly began making their own copies of this very popular pistol. In 1914, the company of Gabilondo y Urresti built a better-than-average 1903 copy called the Ruby, chambered for .32ACP and with a 9-round magazine (larger than most of these types of pistols). Gabilondo sent a sample to France, whose government was in need of a huge number of pistols for the recently begun First World War. The French found the pistol to be well-suited to their needs and proceeded to place a standing order in May 1915 for 10,000 of them per month. At that time Gabilondo had less than 10 employees and there is no conceivable way they could have produced anywhere near this quantity of firearms, but now they had a contract for them. Gabilondo contracted with four other gunmakers in the city of Eibar: Armeria Elgobaressa y Cia, Echealasa y Vincinai y Cia, Hijos de Angel Echeverria y Cia, and Iraola Salaverria y Cia (the “y Cia” means “and Company”). Each of these subcontractors was to produce 5000 pistols per month for Gabilondo, who would control overall QC and deliver the guns to France. By this time (August 1915) the French contract had increased to 30,000 pistols per months, and would later jump again to 50,000 per month. Many of these subcontractors continued to produce the Ruby Pistol even after the war into the 1920s. This Hijos de Angel Echeverria Ruby Pistol appears to be a later production made in circa 1918-1920. Features include a 3.25" barrel, shrouded hammer, 9-round magazine with heel release, serrated slide, smooth walnut grips and safety lever above the trigger. This gun is showing age/wear, but still retains a sharp clean bore and is in perfect working order. Jerry McKamy Estate
