Manufactured in 1969 and later custom engraved and gold inlaid by Terry Brady. Pre 1970 full size 1911 with National Match 5" barrel. Blued finish with front ramp sight and Elliason adjustable rear sight. Standard markings and features with 80% engraved coverage. Engraving features a fine leafy scroll with punch dot background and contrasting gold wire inlaid borders. Skeletonized trigger, with Colt's VP proof mark on the left side trigger guard. Ivory grip panels with each marked on the interior "Hand Crafted For/Colt Firearms" in blue ink. Comes with a full blued 8 round magazine. Includes a black leather display case with black satin lining and embroidered interior lid. CONDITION: Retains 98%+ of the bright high polish blue with only a few light handling marks. The grips are also very fine with a small chip visible near the heel of the right panel. Great bore and mechanics, possibly never fired. Case is in good condition. CALIBER: .45 ACP. S/N: 32987-NM. Manufactured in 1939. This target pistol features a 6-5/8" blued heavy barrel, with "Kelly type" front sight and rear sight that is adjustable for windage and elevation. Left side panel of the barrel is stamped "MATCH TARGET" with the iconic bullseye. The top of the barrel is stamped with the Colt Hartford address and patent number in two un-equal lines. Colt commercial blued frame with "THE WOODSMAN" markings on the left side of the frame. Left side of the slide is stamped "COLT AUTOMATIC/CAL..22 LONG RIFLE" followed by the Rampant Colt trademark. Matte finish on top of the barrel, frame and slide. The serial number "MT5669" located on the base of the grip frame. The left side of the trigger guard bow is stamped with a "P" assembler's mark above the Colt "VP/triangle" proof mark. Double signed by master engraver Angelo Bee, the right side of the receiver features a gold embossed racoon fishing for a crawfish while watching a dove. The left features a gold embossed fox in pursuit of a rabbit. Top shows a gold embossed owl, perched on a limb. The trigger guard, floorplate and all embossed scenes are surrounded by scroll and floral engraving with punched dot background. Gold plate trigger. Visible surface area of bolt is machine jeweled. Forend and buttstock are 2X walnut with superb hand rubbed oil finish. Hand checkered pistol grip and forend at 20 LPI. Wood at buttplate is hand checkered with engraved screws.
