Case hardened small size Parker action with lightening cuts in watertable features automatic safety ("SAFE" inlaid in gold) and gold plated single selective trigger with checkered finger blade. Action is well filed with 3 beads around fences, but no special treatment is given to juncture of bottom and sides. Action is engraved in standard late A-1 special pattern with near full coverage of well cut shaded scroll within scroll and geometric borders. This scroll surrounds scenes of dogs on sides. A pair of pointers are on left and setters on right. "Parker Bros" is in gold under each dog scene. A pointer and setter are on bottom of action and a spaniel retrieving a dove is on trigger plate. Grip checkering is of classic A-1 special style with fancy outline and flares toward comb. 28 Ga. barrels share one splinter forend, .410 barrels have their own which has "410" prefix which matches number on barrels. Forend irons are engine turned. Fleur de lis checkering matches buttstock. MEASUREMENTS: DAH: 2 3/8". DAC: 1 5/16". CAST: approx. 1/2" off. LOP: 14 1/4". WEIGHT: 6 lb. 6 oz. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: gun is housed in its original oak and leather case with zippered leather trimmed canvas outer cover. Action retains essentially all of its very delicate original factory color with perhaps a hint of silvering on fences from contact with case. Wood shows only a few light marks. Checkering is crisp and bright. Bores are bright and shiny. Gun was not tested for functioning so not to cause any wear or possible marking. (.410 barrels assembled for photo & measurement.) Case leather is very fine as protected by its outer cover which shows some minor rubs. Interior cloth, label, partitions and accessories are also very fine, close to as new. PARKER DHE 20 GA. SKEET GUN WITH SINGLE TRIGGER

Lot # 2033 (Sale Order: 33 of 603)

STRAIGHT GRIP AND BEAVERTAIL FOREND. Cal. 20 Ga. 2-3/4". S# 236946. This gun matches all specifications in Parker identification ledger with its 26" Titanic steel barrels...more, single trigger, straight grip stock, automatic ejectors and beavertail forend. All numbers and markings are correct including "skeet in" and "skeet out" chokes "0" frame size on rear lump and grade on watertable. Rib is mounted with two white beads and splinter is of reinforced type. Case hardened action features non-automatic safety and Parker single selective trigger. Action is engraved in usual late "D" style with multi-size scroll surrounding scenes of dogs on both sides; pointer on left, setter on right. "PARKER" is on bottom of action; group of 4 pheasant are on trigger plate. S# is on trigger guard tang. Straight grip buttstock of crotch figured American walnut measures 14" over checkered wood butt. Checkering is of unusual fancy pattern with second field of checkering on bump of heel and a chevron at toe. Stock sports usual lozenge drop points and unusual multi-point grip checkering with mullered borders. Parker style large silver oval is pinned to toeline. Matching beavertail ejector forend with reinforcing bolt has patent date on iron. Checkering is of unusual fancy pattern with extra sweeps and pointed intrusions. There are no S#'s stamped into forend wood or found in wood under trigger guard tang so this unusual stock treatment is most likely not original. However, stocks may be accounted for by Remington repair code PK3 (June 1948) with stocks made by Remington a fair number of years after Parker production ceased. MEASUREMENTS: BBLS: Bore Diameter: L .614. R .615. Restriction: L .006 (Skeet). R .013 (Light Mod). Wall thickness: L .026. R .025. STOCK: DAH: 2". DAC: 1-3/8+". CAST: slightly off. LOP: 14".
