Adj. aper...moreture “locking bar”, rear sight w/ battle range elevation knob. Blade front sight w/ protective ears. Single slot gas cyl. lock screw. Milled trigger guard. Walnut stock set. Replacement buttstock is marked w/ very faint boxed defense acceptance eagle. Additionally marked w/ encircled “P” under grip. Left side of butt marked “A4”. Brown leather military style sling. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: nickel plated oiler & slotted combination tool. CONDITION: stock set including replacement buttstock has good appearance w/ light wear & scattered handling marks throughout. Buttstock has small area approx. 3" x 3 1/16" of replaced wood at the bottom of the mag. well. This replaced wood is secured w/ tiny brass pins not visible when rifle is assembled. U.S. NAVY SPRINGFIELD M-1 GARAND MK2 / 1 SEMI-AUTO

AWARD RIFLE. Cal. 7.62 NATO. S# 1777758. There are electro penciled matching #s on the inside of the floorplate & underside of bolt. S# is stamped in stock on the right r...moreear of the action mortise & is not visible when rifle is assembled. No markings are visible in the bbl. channel. Bbl. 24" & is marked on right side "7.62MM" & "SA 11010457 SPL 9 65 MD50 P M" plus "defense acceptance" mark. These interesting rifles were developed by the Navy for match competition and graded into 2 different grades. Those showing a higher level of accuracy were designated Grade A & given National Match sights. The Grade B rifles including this example were fitted w/ standard sights. This rifle has the late type bbl. which does not use a chamber insert but was mfg. in 7.62 NATO. Interestingly this receiver has an unusually low S# for a Navy match rifle. Late type aperture rear sight, windage knob is marked "HRA W". Markings enhanced in gold coloration. Blade front sight w/ protective ears. Bbl., bolt, trigger housing & hammer are marked "SA". National Match Operating rod is marked "RA". Floorplate marked on bottom at outside in script "Navy Match 1960". Single slot gas cyl. lock screw. Stacking swivel is solidly fixed. Walnut stock set. Buttstock is unmarked except for "B" at end of grip. Buttstock has had extensive match conditioning work including use of bedding compound in action area & has been heavily coated w/ gloss finish to protect from moisture. Handguards have been tightened w/ bedding compound & rear handguard has been shortened to give the necessary clearance ahead of the receiver ring. Rear handguard has notably lighter shade than front. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: cardboard shipping box from Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane, IN. plus original matching storage sleeve marked "RIFLE 7.62MM MK2-1 GR B S#" & date "10/82". Also included; copy of memorandum (no S# included) dated 19 Sept. 96 stating that "due to an asset shortage & funding constraints, your SECNAV award rifle has been upgraded to a MK 2 GR B match rifle..." also included is additional paperwork & Springfield Armory Museum pamphlet not directly related to this rifle. CONDITION: stock set has light wear & scattered handling marks w/ buttstock showing notably more finish. Metal has arsenal type rework dark parkerized finish showing very little wear. Rifle markings have been enhanced in white. Near excellent shiny bore. PROVANENCE: Paperwork includes "DD Form 1149" from Commander Crane Division Naval Surface Warfare Center to David J. Vinkler describing rifle as SECNAV AWARD RIFLE MK2/1 & S#. Original date 12 June 95 & additional date 10/1/96. (23-924/RW). CURIO. $1,000-1,500.

Barrel marked S-A-8-52 on the right side and marked faintly underneath...more in electro pencil ORION 8/5 Z583. Barrel marked on top under handguard with correct drawing number D7312555 and A174A with faint "crossed cannons. Late type aperture rear sight. Blade front sight with protective ears. Receiver, barrel, bolt,op-rod, trigger housing and hammer marked SA. Cross slot gas cylinder lock screw. Hi-hump gas cylinder lock. Milled trigger guard. Walnut stock set. Buttstock marked on left side over trigger guard with "crossed cannons". Marked under grip with encircled "P". Belly of buttstock has two screw holes from cheek pad installation. Green web sling. Original scope base is fitted with a reproduction scope mount. The mount has a more coarse finish than the originals and has a small encircled "M" on the left side. The cap screws require a 5/64" wrench. The thumb knob is welded but does have 50 clicks. The blued steel M84 scope has a non tapered post and cross hair. The features of the scope appear correct including the rounded forward edge of the sliding sunshade, the "L" and the"R" are placed correctly and the nameplate has white lettering without borders and a S# of 10501. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: includes copy of FM 23-10 U.S. RIFLE CALIBER .30 M1903. Dated 1943. Green canvas padded case marked "Case individual parachutist 1950". Cleaning kit and plastic oiler in butt. CONDITION: Stock set has an early "arsenal rework" finish with a slight loss of wood in inletted areas. Buttstock has had a small amount of wood removed between stock and receiver. Metal retains a large degree of "arsenal rework" parkerization. Optics appear clear and serviceable. Very good shiny bore. (23-918/RW). CURIO. $1,500-2,250.

Walnut stock set. Buttstock marked only with "C". Trap buttplate. Green web sling. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: cleaning rod and plastic oiler in butt. US Military Tech manual TM9-1276 for the cal. 30 carbines M1, M1A1, M2 & M3 dated 1953. CONDITION: replacement stock set has little finish with wear and handling marks. Buttstock has crack on the left side over trigger guard which has pinned repair pins are not visible when rifle is assembled. Several cracks are visible forward of mag. well. Mag. follower is not present & bolt does not latch open. Locking bar rear sight w/ battle range elevation knob. Blade front sight w/ protective ears. Bolt appears complete; marked "SA". Operating rod marked 'SA". Trigger group markings are "SA". Stamped trigger guard. Walnut stock & rear hand guard; replacement wood front handguard. Buttstock retains faint "circle P" under grip. CONDITION: stock set has extensive wear, staining & handling marks over arsenal rework finish. Stock has extensive chipping & extensive wear around buttplate & pinned repaired crack on left side over trigger guard. Rear hand guard has extensive crack on left side. Front hand guard has notably better finish. Metal parts have flaking black arsenal rework finish which partially obscures the welding at the receiver rails. Receiver bridge has additional hole drilled forward of rear sight. Bolt cycles when operated by hand. Trigger housing has missing piece at rear; trigger guard does not latch correctly. Safety is marked "R". Unmarked cutoff w/ blocked letters. All milled furniture except stamped "R" marked stacking swivel. "C" Type pistol grip stock marked faintly on left side of trigger guard w/ "boxed S.A." & "S.P. / G." overhaul marking. Marked under grip w/ "encircled P" proof. Marked at end of grip w/ "boxed P" overhaul proof & also marked "AA" indicating additional overhaul at Augusta Arsenal in GA. All milled furniture w/ smooth trap buttplate. Stock is marked on left side over trigger guard w/ "boxed FJA" & "crossed cannons". Marked under grip w/ "circle P" proof. Hand guard w/ sighting groove & 2 clips. Russet leather 1907 sling w/ faint, partly legible marking "1918" & "H.H.B.". UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: nickel plated oiler in butt. Bayonet w/ 15 7/8" Fullard blade. Bright blade is marked on left ricasso "SA" (flaming bomb) "1914". Marked on right ricasso "US" plus S#. Coarse turned walnut grips. Green plastic scabbard marked "U.S." in flaming bomb. The 1931 dated bbl. was likely on hand or may have been used when the rifle was overhauled at Raritan Arsenal. Straight down bolt handle marked underneath w/ "K". Safety, cutoff have block letters. All milled furniture. Bayonet lug marked "H". Smooth trap buttplate. Grooved trigger. Walnut stock set. Replacement buttstock is marked "R" in cutoff recess. Stock markings on the left side include very faint "FJA" and boxed "AA". Additional boxed "R.A-P" which indicates a later Raritan Arsenal overhaul is clearly legible. Green web sling. CONDITION: stock set has arsenal rework type finish which results in softened edges & a slight loss of wood in some inletted areas. Metal work retains 75% arsenal rework dark parkerized finish w/ wear & handling marks. Notable loss of finish on upper band & front sight fixed base. Very good shiny bore w/ sharp lands. (23-597/RW). Blade fr...moreont sight w/ sheet metal cover. Receiver has been demilled by removing the lower front portion of the receiver ring, bottom locking lug recess & a portion of right receiver rail. Firing pin hole has been plugged. Bolt will reciprocate & may be dry fired. Safety is functional. Bolt is not readily removed due to welding on the mag. cutoff. Replacement stock marked "R" at forend tip. Marked on left side over trigger guard w/ 2 faint boxed "S.A.A." indicating San Antonio Arsenal & has additional boxed "E". Marked under grip w/ 2 boxed "P" proofs. Plastic oiler in butt. CONDITION: stock set has worn arsenal rework finish w/ moderate wear & scattered handling marks. 1/2" Crack behind receiver tang. Sight is fitted w/ flip up aperture. Front sight is blade soldered to a steel band using hobbyist gunsmith workmanship. Walnut stock set forend has been shortened approx. 1 3/4" beyond bbl. band. Original sling swivels have been retained. Smooth trap buttplate. Stock markings including boxed "JSA 1903" & "circle P" proof; crisp & legible. CONDITION: stock set has a large degree of original finish w/ moderate wear, staining & handling marks. Metal has traces of original finish but is turning overall gray. Receiver has extensive peppery oxidation. Bbl. has large amount of heavy pitting below the original wood line. Rear sight slide is bent slightly downward. This K-200 revolver was mfg. 1942-1945 along side the 38 Military & Police; K-200 revolvers were chambered in 38 S&W while the 38 M&P were chambered in 38 Spl. The square butt, 5 screw, K frame revolver with sandblast "black magic" parkerized finish & lanyard loop on butt. Matching numbered 5" bbl. w/ round blade front sight. Top strap is stamped "UNITED STATES PROPERTY". Butt of frame has "P", flaming bomb & "WB" inspector's stamp. Matching numbered 6 shot fluted cyl. & extractor. Replacement two piece diamond checkered walnut grips; back of right panel pencil marked "E.S. Patte". CONDITION: very good metal finish showing cyl. turn line & marks.
