MODEL 1903 BOLT ACTION MILITARY RIFLE. Cal. 30-06. S# 1137963. Bbl. 24" marked behind front sight "SA", flaming bomb, "10-19". This correctly featured rifle was mfg. in 1...more919 and retains a large degree of its original finish with crisp markings. Ladder rear sight without volley notch graduated to 2850 yards. Dished windage and elevation knobs. Blade front sight. Straight down bolt handle. Bolt is marked "C 13" on front edge of safety lug. Cutoff polished bright on underside. Very nice "S" type straight grip walnut stock with two recoil bolts. Stock marked on left side over trigger with boxed "W.J.S.". The initials are those of William J. Sheriffs, civilian employee of the ordnance dept. and worked at Springfield Armory between the years of 1918 and 1922. Stock is marked "S" in cutoff recess. Encircled "P" proof under grip and small "16" assembly mark. Additionally is marked "2" ahead of trigger guard. Smooth trap buttplate and smooth narrow trigger. Correct leather Model 1907 sling marked "L-FCO 1918". CONDITION: stock retains a very large degree of its original finish with only light wear and scattered tiny handling marks. This rifle retains all its correct features including the special trigger and cut-off. Ladder rear sight w/ volley notch graduated to 2850 yards. Dished windage and elevation knob. Blade front sight with stamped sight cover. Swept bolt handle. Bolt root marked on top "BF" and "28". The "S" type straight grip stock has the correct cut-out below the ejection port. All milled furniture, including the smooth trap buttplate. Marked on the left side over triggerguard with a boxed "S. S.A.A.". Marked on the right side with a faint boxed "C. S.A.A.". these marks indicate arsenal reworks at San Antonio Arsenal. There are two proofs under grip, one is boxed and one is encircled. Unmarked model 1907 brown leather sling with brass hooks. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: nickel plated oiler in butt. Five pocket khaki colored canvas magazine pouch marked "R.I.A." and "9-19". Model 1910 Khaki canvas Squad Leaders pouch, marked U.S. on the flap. Marked under carrying strap "POWERS-1918". CONDITION: stock has a moderately worn arsenal re-work finish with scattered handling marks throughout. Metal retains a large degree of its lightly worn arsenal re-work parkerized finish. Good shiny bore with light frosting in grooves. PROVENANCE: the Collection of Curtis H Halvorson. (23-5938/RW). Blade front sight. All visible parts markings are "R" except stock tip which is "O". Bolt root is marked on top w/ "? 3". All stamped furniture including fine checkered buttplate & sm. bow trigger guard. Walnut stock set w/ straight grip & brass reinforcing pins. Stock has slightly obscured markings from a light cleaning. Markings are the standard "crossed cannons", boxed "FJA" & boxed "OGEK". This last marking is the inspection mark of famed firearms authority Elmer Keith when he worked at the U.S. arsenal at Ogden Utah. Brown leather Model 1907 sling marked "MILSCO" & dated 1943. CONDITION: the stock has been lightly cleaned in the time since the markings were applied leaving them slightly obscured as noted above. Stock has a good appearance w/ light wear & staining. Metal retains a lg. percentage of its arsenal rework parkerized finish. The rear sight has a notable plum color. The bands & handguard ring have an oxidized patinaed appearance. ACTION SHOTGUN. Cal. 12 GA. S# 663491. Bbl. 20 1/4". Model 1897 pump action shotgun mfg. by Winchester in 1919 and later converted into a Trench configuration. The left s...moreide of the bbl. is marked with Winchester's mfg. information, followed by the cal. designation, and "MOD.". Metal components exhibit a blued finish overall. Plain wood pistol grip buttstock with grooved pump have been lightly sanded and revarnished. Bbl. has been fitted with an unmarked aftermarket heat shield that features a bayonet lug and brass bead front sight. Matching numbers are present on the receiver and bbl. CONDITION: metal components retain large amounts of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting wear, thinning, and areas of mild surface oxidation overall, with some light to mild pitting present on the mag. tube. Mirror bore, exhibiting 3 small impressions from the heat shield screws. Wood furniture shows some scattered marks and dings from handling and storage, but otherwise remains sturdy and serviceable overall. (23-5490/MLW). MODERN. $800-1,200.

The left side of the bbl. is marked with Winchester's mfg. information, followed by the Winchester trademark logo, as well as the model and cal. designations above "CYL.". Metal components exhibit a reapplied blue finish. Plain wood pistol grip buttstock with grooved pump. Bbl. is fitted with an aftermarket heat shield with a bayonet lug and brass bead front sight. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their reapplied blue finish, exhibiting some areas of wear, scattered superficial handling marks, as well as some areas of pitting that are present beneath the finish. Mirror bore (as refinished), exhibiting some mild spots of pitting beneath the finish and 2 indentations from the heat shield screws. RIFLE. Cal. 30 (Appears to be 30-06). S# 9134a. Bbl. 26 1/2" target unmarked aftermarket replacement. Bbl. has vacant target block w/ one screw missing but no other front...more sight. Lyman aperture rear sight. Matching numbers on bolt release, receiver & floorplate. Bolt is of WW2 German mfg. but it is mismatched & is missing its extractor. Bottom of bolt handle has been flattened & modified. Safety is stiff & not engaging properly. Receiver top has "ce 44" code denoting mfg. by JP Sauer in 1944. Commercial reblue finish. Sako made trigger. Floorplate has two added holes. Aftermarket Monte Carlo stock w/ poorly fitted black checkered buttplate, black checkered grip cap & glass bedding near recoil lug. Hand stop slot of stock is vacant. CONDITION: buttplate shows notable wear to checkering. Stock shows a couple shallow chips, some staining & handling marks. Metal retains 90% of a commercial reblue w/ a patch of flaked off bluing on right front of bbl., scattered oxidation, blued over pitting & fading. Bore shows scattered oxidation but strong rifling. Ri...moreght side of receiver has an "(Eagle)/280" Waffenamt. Blade front sight w/ protective hood. Tangent rear sight graduated to 2000m. Laminated stock set w/ left side sling provisions. Right side of stock has "(Eagle)/H" Heer cartouche & underside of butt has faint Waffentamt that appears to be "WaA37". Cleaning rod present. CONDITION: stock set shows some scarring from improper band removal, a few light chips, scattered dings & handling wear. Metal retains 40% original blue w/ some band removal dings on rear band, light scratches on receiver & bbl., light oxidation, edge wear & thinning. Very good bright bore. (23-5633/MJC). Blade front sight. Nose cap has protective ears & bayonet mt. Stacking swivel is not present. Walnut stock set w/ brass trap buttplate. Buttstock is marked on right side "ECERT 27" & has unmarked steel disk. MAGS: 1 Detachable 10 rd. CONDITION: stock set has well worn arsenal rework type finish w/ loss of wood in inletted areas. Forend has approx. 4" crack on left side ahead of butt socket plus has brass reinforcing pin. Handguards have several sm. cracks. MILITARY RIFLE. Cal. 303 Brit. S# CR 3622. Bbl. 25" marked under rear sight "HV". This scarce pre-WWI rifle is marked on right side of butt socket "crown ER ENFIELD 1906 ...moreSHTLE 1***". Bolt is likely a vintage replacement and numbered to match receiver. Bolt head equipped with charger guide. Magazine cutoff is present. Replacement tangent rear sight with steel protective ears. Sight leaf graduated to 2,000 yards does not seat fully down on sight bed. Sight is not adjustable for windage. Blade front sight. Nose cap which is equipped with bayonet mount and stacking swivel has inward curved protective ears. Volley sights are present on left side of rifle. Volley sight is not usable due to visual interference of replacement protective ears on rear sight. Safety is marked with "III". Walnut forend and handguards. Front handguard is likely replacement. Tenon does not match rear handguard. Buttstock appears to be beech. Equipped with brass trap buttplate. Marked under grip with broad arrow "D 3". Unmarked period brown leather sling. MAGS:1 detachable ten round. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: brass oiler in butt. 17" fullered blade Model 1907 bayonet. Bayonet is marked on left ricasso with "crown GR 1907 2 '14 EFD". Right ricasso has "broad arrow 19X" and view marks. Smooth wood grips held by two screws. Right grip is marked "D 500". Pommel has matching mark. Leather scabbard with steel tip. Khaki web frog marked "GEW 1943". Bayonet and scabbard have worn original finish but appear serviceable. Cup Type grenade launcher. 2 1/2" bore. Launcher is marked with "S&B" and "crown B11". Launcher appears to be in well worn but functional condition. CONDITION: stock set has extensive wear and handling marks throughout with added arsenal rework type finish. Has small rectangular inletted repair on left side over magazine. Rear handguard has crack extending from chamber to rear rivet. Metal retains a good degree of its worn original blue finish.
