Unmarked Type II band & push button safety. Front of mag. release marked "WI". High wood Inland mfg. stock marked "IO" in left sling cut. Unmarked two rivet handguard. GI Canvas sling. MAGS: 3-15 rd. USGI that show some pitting & oxidation & 1-30 rd. marked "SEY". UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: green canvas dual mag. pouch marked "KADIN/1943". CONDITION: stock has a round armorer crack ahead of mag. well, a couple small chips, stock otherwise shows scattered dings & handling wear. Metal retains 80% black arsenal rework parkerized finish w/ some oxidation on buttplate, light scratches on trigger guard & scattered light fading. Good bore w/ some light frosting. (23-2449/MJC). RIFLE. Cal. 30-06. S# 2282420. Bbl. 24". Markings include faint inscribed "NM" followed by 5 pointed star on left side behind front sight. Markings on right side in chamb...moreer area include "SA 4 56". Throat gauges 1.0. Muzzle gauges 1.0. Late type rear sight w/ standard aperture. Blade front sight w/ protective ears. Receiver has been assembled by welding in the area between the receiver legs. Receiver marked on right front side below stock line w/ "D 28291 30" (drawing #). The workmanship of the welding does not appear arsenal quality. Bolt marked "HRA", operating rod marked "SA". "HI Hump" gas cyl. lock screw. Cross slot gas cyl. lock. Lower band assemble w/out retaining pin showing numerous hammer marks on the inside. Trigger housing & hammer marked "SA". Stamped trigger guard. Walnut stock set. Buttstock marked only w/ circled "P" proof under grip. Green web sling. CONDITION: buttstock has added varnish like finish w/ moderate wear, dents & handling marks. Notable splotches of added finish on left side of butt. Hand guards have less wear but have added varnish like finish. Receiver has been given an arsenal rework type dark parkerizing which leaves the welded areas slightly visible. Balance of metal finish has slightly worn original parkerization except gas cyl. which has turned a uniform gray. Very good shiny bore w/ sharp lands. (23-2396/RW). CURIO. $900-1,400.

The bbl. has been shortened & the muzzle turned down to accept the bayonet muzzle ring. The forend was shortened & a walnut plug fitted to close the lightening cut. The original front sight has been reattached to the bbl. Walnut stock & hand guard. Stock is marked on left side over trigger guard "JFC". Circle "P" script proof under grip as well as "80". Forend tip has tiny "S" on filler piece. Smooth trap buttplate w/ curved toe. Original brown leather Krag sling. Markings include "A.B.LAIDELY SUB INSPECTOR U.S. ORD. DEPT" in oval. CONDITION: stock has vintage professional refinish leaving markings largely in tact but with moderate staining & handling marks. Sm. crack behind sideplate & at receiver tang. Missing chip between bolt handle & loading gate. Buttplate does not fit well & is likely a replacement. Metal has 50% of a professionally refinished blue w/ wear & scattered peppery oxidation. Blade front sight w/ unmarked stamped sight protector. Rear sight base made w/out lightening. Rear receiver has "Hatcher Hole". Bolt is marked "J5" under safety lug & has proof punch mark underneath bolt handle. Balance of bolt parts are unmarked. Cutoff is marked "R". Grooved trigger. Milled trigger guard & floorplate. S type straight grip stock w/ grasping grooves plus 2 recoil bolts. Stock marked on left side over trigger guard w/ faint boxed acceptance mark & unboxed "R-A-P" arsenal rework marking. All milled furniture except butt swivel which is stamped. Smooth trap buttplate. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: 9 3/4" fullered blade M1 bayonet marked on left ricasso "PAL" in oval & "US" in flaming bomb. Nickel plated oiler in butt. Birdshead pommel. Grooved plastic grips. Green plastic scabbard w/ metal throat and belt hook. Throat is marked w/ flaming bomb. Blade has been sharpened and has a degree of sweep but still fits the scabbard. Metal is mostly bright retaining little of its original finish w/ wear, staining & peppery oxidation. Scabbard is well worn but serviceable. CONDITION: stock has been refinished w/ notable loss of wood in inletted areas plus softening of edges. This refinish has rendered markings obscure. Metal retains a degree of original wartime finish w/ a somewhat mixed appearance as many parts are serviceable arsenal rebuild replacements. Good shiny bore w/ lightly worn lands. (23-1166/RW). Top of receiver is stamped w/ the manufacturer i...morenformation, model designation, and caliber designation, but is otherwise devoid of any stampings. Blued finish w/ solid wood furniture. CONDITION: Metal components retain the majority of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting areas of mild wear and some light thinning, w/ with mild spots of surface oxidation overall. Dark bore with pitting throughout. Wood furniture exhibits some wear to the varnish and some scattered marks from handling and storage, but is otherwise sturdy and serviceable. (23-2120/MLW). Stock is marked underneath forend w/ "eagle 339". Stock tip marked "R". Brown leather Hunter 1" military style sling. CONDITION: stock set has original finish w/ light wear, staining & scattered handling marks throughout. Metal has 75% arsenal rework type finish. Receiver ring has notable polished appearance. 1) LONG BRANCH NO. 4 MK I*. Cal. .303 British. S# 39L6249. Bbl 25". Stamped "No 4 Mk I */ LONG BRANCH/ 1943" on the left side of the receiver. Major metal components are ...moreblued, with the buttplate and magazine exhibiting a black enamel finish. Stock and handguard are comprised of solid wood. Matching numbers are on the receiver, bolt, and magazine. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their arsenal blue finish, exhibiting mild wear overall, with areas of oxidation present on the front barrel band and nose cap. Mirror bore, exhibiting well defined rifling throughout. Wood furniture shows a few scattered handling marks, but is otherwise very good. 2) SHTLE NO. III* WITH RAF MARKED BAYONET. Cal. 303 British. S# S105. Bbl 25". SHTLE No. III* manufactured in 1918 at the Enfield arsenal. Right side of receiver bears stampings stipulating the manufacturer, year of manufacture, and model designation. Underside of buttstock bear a 6 pointed star over "E" proof. Metal components are blued, with the furniture being comprised of solid wood. Bayonet is stamped with a crown over "GR/ 1907/ WILKINSON" on the ricasso, with "RAF" stamped on the pommel and right wood grip. CONDITION: metal components retain large amounts of their arsenal blue finish, exhibiting areas of wear and thinning overall, with some scattered areas of pitting. Bright bore, exhibiting what appears to be either mild pitting or some old grease within the grooves, and retaining strong rifling throughout. Stock shows scattered marks from handling and storage, with a couple losses on the right side around the trigger guard. Bayonet retains good amounts of its arsenal blue finish, exhibiting wear and thinning that shows through to gray patina, with some scattered spots of pitting. Scabbard shows wear, but remains sturdy and serviceable. (23-2413 & 23-2423/MLW) BOTH CURIO. $600-800.
