This is a fantastic circa 1993 Zuni Carlene Leekity squash blossom necklace and earrings set with fantastic eagle thunderbird multiple-stone inlay classic Zuni design. The back of the naja squash is hand etched / signed, "3-4-93 Carlene Leekity Zuni". The piece shows a double strand of Navajo pearl sterling silver bench beads on a sterling silver box chain strand and shows twelve blossom pendants each showing a beautiful Bald Eagle or Thunderbird design set with brown shell, mother of pearl and turquoise. The base shows a naja squash pendant in sterling silver set with brown shell, mother of pearl, turquoise, and pink mother of pearl shell. At the center shows the same eagle or thunderbird effigy. The set also includes a set of multiple stone inlaid eagle or thunderbird post back sterling silver earrings with the same multiple stone inlays. The late-vintage set is well kept and a rare collectible. The necklace measures 30"L end to end and the earrings are each 1.5" by 1". Total weight of 124 grams.

The large bracelet / cuff exhibits a classic Zuni cluster design, also referred to as petit point set with beautiful Turquoise on sterling silver with a triple cuff and signed, RLD. Diane Lonjose is the sister to Lorraine Waatsa, the daughter of legendary Zuni artist Alice Quam. Rod Lonjose helps Diane with soldering and enjoys working on larger pieces such as the dragonfly and butterflies. The cuff has a Timex quartz watch with one of the brackets holding in in place present and set with turquoise and the other broken off. The vintage cuff has a large double row top setting with rope and spotted sterling silver and along the triple band shows a double row of settings on either side, all with beautiful turquoise. Bracelet measures 2.5”W by 2 7/8”L by 2.5”H. Total weight of 82.7 grams.

The lot features an 1930-1940's Old Pawn hair barrette from a Navajo artist with wonderful stamped pattern. The early vintage piece has a heavy silver craftsmanship with oval pattern having a cutout center and silver pin with paddle end having a zig-zag stamping. The pieces are not signed, common amongst Old Pawn pieces. Collected by the owners family in the 1940's. The hair piece measures about 4.25" by 1.75". Total weight of 25.5 grams.

"This is an original, authentic Lambert Homer, Sr. Zuni Rainbow Man Kachine, large brooch pin in sterling silver with an amazing multiple stone inlay dating to the late 1...more930s to early 1940s from the Francoise Perriot collection. Labert Homer, Sr. (1917-1972) is widely recognized as one of the finest lapidarist of his time and was known to have collaborated with other notable artists who also worked with trader C.G. Wallace. Homer was known as doing inlays of Knife Wings and Rainbow Gods and is credited with the first use of the Gan Dancer in a jewelry motif. Zuni artists that he collaborated with include Dan Simplicio, Leo Poblano, Ida Poblano, and his son Lambert Homer, Jr. He also worked with Navajo silver-workers, Roger Skeet and Charlie Bitsui. Lambert, who was married to Juanita Homer, and his brother Bernard, who was married to Alice Homer, worked closely with their wives, both of whom were daughters of Leekya.

Featured in this lot is this pair of World War 2 U.S. Military Lund snowshoes originating from the 1940's. These snowshoes are believed to have been issued to the 10th Mo...moreuntain Division during the Second Great War are manufactured by C.A. Lund Co. out of Hastings MINN - one of four manufactures to provide snowshoes for the war effort. The snowshoes show rawhide weave with a wooden frame and faux leather straps. The top of the shoes are marked "U.S. C.A. Lund Hastings. Minn." The condition of this pair of snowshoes is good with some wear to the leather but otherwise shows good overall condition. The measurements of this pair of snowshoes is 55 1/2" x 10 1/2" x 2 1/2".

Al Sachs Personal 14k & Diamond Stardust Key FOB

Featured in this lot is an Al Sachs personal 14k yellow gold and diamond Stardust Casino key FOB, circa 1970-1980s. Al Sachs co-owned the Stardust Casino with Herb Tobman in 1979. In 1982, federal authorities accused Sachs and Tobman of providing skimmed money to the Chicago mob. An 18-count complaint was filed against Sachs and Tobman, stating they failed to take appropriate action to stop this latest skimming operation which totaled more than $1.5 million. The men themselves were not accused of skimming. Gaming officials sought a record $3.5 million fine for 222 alleged gaming violations. This latest investigation was part of an effort to remove Mafia figures from Nevada gaming operations. The Stardust had become infamous for its mob affiliations. A federal agent described it as "the flagship of organized crime on the Strip". The key chain FOB is wonderfully and professionally crafted 14k yellow gold and diamond construction that shows a total of eight round brilliant cut diamonds with good eye clarity with the name of the casino in the center and a scorpion on the dangle part of the FOB. On the other side of the FOB is Al Sachs name along with an upside down pentagram and is marked '14k' next to it. 19th Century Large Vasoline Glass Hanging Light

For your consideration is this 19th century Vaseline glass hanging light. This large electric hanging lamp displays an impressive piece of thick Vasoline glass, showing v...moreery detailed images of women doing different poses in flowing dresses around the entirety of the glass. Vasoline glass owes it rich coloring to Uranium content. The images are bordered with geometric designs, while the bottom rim houses three metal hooks to connect the glass with the hanging components. The glass shows a cloudy light green color and no makers mark is present on the glass. The glass comes with the original hanging components, with the only parts having been replaced are three screw hooks. The hanging light shows good condition overall with some wear to the glass and the hanging components, and the wires have been severed, but no signs of obvious damage is present. The glass shade measures a bottom diameter of 11 1/2" and a height of 12". The glass shade weighs 11 pounds. The hanging component measures 22 3/4" L x 9 5/8" W and weighs 4lb 2oz.*

Sperm Whale Tooth Riverboat Scrimshaw Casting

For your consideration is a cast sperm whale tooth Vicksburg Mississippi Riverboat Scrimshaw. Scrimshaw began in the late 18th or early 19th century as the art of carving...more whale bone and ivory aboard whale ships. This is a resin cast contemporary piece. The crew on whalers had plenty of leisure time between sighting and chasing whales, and the hard parts of whales were readily available on voyages that could last up to four years. This sperm whale scrimshaw depicts a riverboat paddle wheeler with the name, Vicksburg etched beneath, one of many which plied the waters of the Mississippi river during the American Civil War, carrying troops, provisions and supplies for the Confederate Army. Riverboats also played a role in the defense of Vicksburg, an important Confederate stronghold that connected the South to the Western states. On the opposite side, crossed swords and revolvers are superimposed over crossed battle flags, an eagle has the swords clutched in its talons, the words, "Vicksburg Mississippi" etched on a ribbon below. This mastodon tooth scrimshaw is in nice condition. The images display intricate detailing with some slight fading exhibited. Measures 2.5"W x 5"H x 1.75", weight 14oz.*

Olmec Jadeite Mask, circa 10th - 6th century BC

Presented in this lot is an Olmec Jadeite Mask, circa 10th - 6th century BCE. Provenance: the Owen D. Mort, Jr. Collection. Owen David Mort was an American engineer who amassed an impressive collection throughout his worldwide travels. His collection has included art, artifacts and other historical items from which he has donated to museums at the University of Utah and the Snite Museum of Art at the University of Notre Dame, including ancient Mesoamerican, Afghan, Indian, Mughal, Persian and Far Asian artifacts. The Olmecs were the earliest known major Mesoamerican civilizations that flourished during Mesoamerica's formative period dating roughly from as early as 1500 BCE. to about 400 BCE. Olmec artworks are considered among ancient America's most striking. The Olmec culture was first defined as an art style and this continues to be the hallmark of the culture. Common motifs include down-turned mouths and a cleft head, both of which are seen in representations of werejaguars. The werejaguar was both an Olmec motif and a supernatural entity, perhaps a deity. The werejaguar motif is characterized by almond-shaped eyes, a downturned open mouth, and a cleft head. Jade face masks were a type of artifact that were small, hard stone carvings in jade of a face in a mask form. The Olmecs were the earliest known major Mesoamerican civilizations that flourished during Mesoamerica's formative period dating roughly from as early as 1500 BCE. to about 400 BCE. Olmec artworks are considered among ancient America's most striking. The Olmec culture was first defined as an art style and this continues to be the hallmark of the culture. Common motifs include down-turned mouths and a cleft head, both of which are seen in representations of werejaguars. The werejaguar was both an Olmec motif and a supernatural entity, perhaps a deity. The werejaguar motif is characterized by almond-shaped eyes, a downturned open mouth, and a cleft head. This lot features an original buffalo parfleche rawhide stretched war drum from the Chief Powder Face Arapaho family circa late 19th Century. The piece is marked on the i...morenside of the drum, “Made by Neal Powder Face Clinton, Okla." The piece shows a wetted and stretched buffalo / bison parfleche rawhide over a bent wood hoop having copper rivets holding the hoop together. The rawhide is secured to the sides with old iron square shank nails. The back shows four metal wires wrapped at the center with an early calico trade clothe. A photograph of Arapaho Chief, Powder Face, and family circa 1868 by William Stinson Soule for reference. Several images of Chief Powder Face are shown, not much is known about Powder Face. We know that Clarence Powder Face went to Carlisle Indian School and one of their children died there. Provenance: From the ex-personal collection of Bruce VanLandingham Sundog Gallery and Museum in Bozeman, Montana and a private Wisconsin Native American collection. Measures 15” diameter x 3”H.*

The St. Charles (also known as the Dovetail or Plevna) is a medium to large point...more and has narrow corner or side notches which define the base or stem. The base is fan shaped and resembles the spread out tail of a dove, hence they have been known as Dovetails. The blade is triangular and has a broad wide face with excurvate edges and a lenticular cross-section when new. The spear point features a wonderfully and professionally crafted off white chert material that shows very wide serrated points with sharp shoulders, a flared stem and is professionally knapped. The overall condition of this projectile point is well preserved with no obvious signs of damage. The measurements of this point are 6 5/8"L x 3 1/8"W. The collective weight of this point is 4oz.*

Featured in this lot is this chalkware sculpture called "Price of a Scalp," by American artist Bob Scriver born in 1914 and died in 1999. Chalkware sculptures were done by Scriver himself at his home foundry in Montana for only a few years with very few of them known to exhist. Robert "Bob" Mcafee Scriver (1914-1999) was born in Browning, Montana (in the heart of the Blackfoot Indian Reservation) in 1914. Scriver began sculpting using taxidermy to learn his craft of making wildlife bronzes. By 1962 he became a charter member of the Society of Animal Artists, had been accepted into the prestigious Cowboy Artists of America, listed in Who’s Who in American Art, and a member of the National Sculpture Society, and the National Academy of Western Art. The sculpture features a wonderfully and professionally crafted chalkware construction that shows two Native Americans doing battle one on horseback and is marked as follows: The Price of a Scalp - Bob Scriver - 1963.
