ROTH STEYR MODEL 1914 MODIFIED TO 38 ACP

Lot # 651 (Sale Order: 1 of 685)

SERIAL NUMBER 1010 BARREL 5" CALIBER 38 ACP MANUFACTURED 1914. Produced in Austria in 1914 and used through both World Wars. The Roth Steyr with its rotating barrel locking action was a very reliable and accurate pistol. Fed by an integral 8 round top stripper fed magazine. Single action with manual safety. 2 piece \varnish and checkered wood grips. Dated 1914 on trigger guard and further marked "38 ACP" on right side of slide. This conversion would make perfect sense for a pistol imported into the United States where 9mm Steyr would be difficult to find but 38 Colt Auto would be plentiful. CONDITION, Very good with most all the frosty blue finish remaining with scuffs and bruises on grips. Bore is good with darkness in grooves. Action operates properly. C&R
