Morris Mini Cooper Mk. II

Lot # 126 (Sale Order: 26 of 179)

Designed by Alex Issigonis in 1959, a new concept in car design was born.  With a monocoque shell, transversely mounted engine and front wheel drive, the new 'Mini', soon became popular across a broad spectrum of the population.  The potential for competition use was soon seen by John Cooper; BMC were finally persuaded by John Cooper and the two worked together in culminating the birth of the Austin Mini Cooper and the Morris Mini Cooper in 1961. Victories in the 1964, 1965 and 1967 Monte-Carlo Rallies set the Mini on the road to fame but probably the greatest publicity was gained from their somewhat unfair, disqualification for lighting irregularities in the 1966 event after coming in 1st, 2nd and 3rd. A more powerful Mini Cooper, dubbed the 'S', was developed in tandem and released in 1963.AUTOMATICDespatched from the factory on 3rd July 1969 and sent to Loxhams Ltd in Preston, this Morris Mini Cooper was originally registered on 1st August 1969. A comprehensive history folder accompanies this Mini confirming an engine rebuild in 2012; she appears to have done no more than 2,000 miles since. Aesthetically, this right hand drive Cooper would benefit from a little time and investment, however she is MoT’d until 7th March 2019 and is ready to use immediately and the vendor has advised us she drives well. Supplied with a V5C registration document and a Heritage Certificate, this Morris Mini Cooper Mk. II appears to be realistically estimated given the eye-watering prices Mini Coopers have achieved of late.

BMW 840 Ci

Lot # 127 (Sale Order: 27 of 179)

The Klaus Kapitza designed 8 Series was launched at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 1989. Although it effectively replaced the 6 Series, it was originally intended as an additional model line; an upmarket range with superior performance and price tag to match. During its ten year reign, the 8 Series was offered in 830i, 840Ci and 850i/Ci form. When introduced in mid 1993, it was fitted with a four litre, V8 engine mated to either a five-speed automatic or a six-speed manual transmission. With 282bhp on tap, this version could achieve the 0-62mph sprint in an impressive 6.9 seconds. Over 1.5 billion Deutsche Marks are said to have been spent on the car's design and development and at the time it felt like a glimpse into the future with its angular styling.AUTOMATICLow mileage 8 series BMW's in fine order are becoming ever harder to find with collectors and enthusiasts seeking out those rare examples or diamonds in the rough. This exceptional example of the 840Ci is presented in metallic silver with an extremely well kept grey leather interior and has covered a mere 73,000 miles from new, which in 8 series terms is barely out of the factory! Having been owned and cherished by the same keeper for the past 12 years, this BMW boasts a comprehensive service file including an original service booklet stamped exclusively by BMW main agents until 61,028 miles. If the new owner takes this impressive example to BMW for its new service, they can continue the full BMW service history. The fuel lines have been replaced and new brakes fitted together with a four wheel alignment to the refurbished split rim alloy wheels. Importantly we are informed that every button works on this BMW and that the underside is almost as impressive as the coachwork. A full book pack is present and includes a new MoT test certificate and many past MoT test certificates. A rare find with low mileage and in exceptional condition - we think this is sure to attract significant interest.

Morris Mini Minor

Lot # 128 (Sale Order: 28 of 179)

The history of this revolutionary motorcar is well known and its impact socially, culturally and mechanically is well documented. The Swinging Sixties, The Beatles, Twiggy and the Mini are inexorably combined to represent an era that is remembered with great fondness by many people. The side story is the Mini's impact on motorsport and this is no less extraordinary. Issigonis' friend John Cooper, owner of the Cooper Car Company and designer and builder of Formula One and rally cars, saw the potential of the Mini for competition and a formidable opponent it soon became. The production version of the Mini was demonstrated to the press in April 1959 and by August several thousand cars had been produced ready for the first sales. The Mini was officially announced to the public on 26 August 1959. The first example, a Morris Mini-Minor with the registration 621 AOK, is on display at the Heritage Motor Centre in Warwickshire. Another early example from 1959 is on display at the National Motor Museum in Hampshire.AUTOMATICThe Mini was marketed under BMC's two main brand names, Austin and Morris, until 1969, when it became a marque in its own right. The Morris version was known to all as ‘the Mini’ or the ‘Morris Mini-Minor’.This stunning example was imported from New Zealand in 2017, where it had undergone a fabulous refurbishment which included the seats being retrimmed in the famous Spinneybeck hide (one of the finest Italian leather trim available), Wilton carpet, brand new trim and period Cooper S racing wheels being fitted. This is one of the finest examples of this popular and sought-after city runabout. The previous owner was meticulous in his detail when carrying out this work and the result is simply superb. This has to be one of the best available on the market today.

Mercedes-Benz SL320 Roadster

Lot # 129 (Sale Order: 29 of 179)

* Interested parties should note that the roof on this car is not fully functional. Following the resounding success of the R107, the R129 Mercedes-Benz SL had a rather tough act to follow, and it still had to carry on the tradition of a fast and reliable grand touring convertible. The advantage designers had with the R129 was technology. By the time the final car rolled off the production line in 1989, these earlier models had been in production for 18 years with very little change. Therefore the new SL featured many new and innovative ideas, such as controlled electronic damping, automatically expanding roll-over bar and a more modern multi-link rear axle. In addition to this was a fully operating electric hood, windows, door mirrors and seats, which made this model easy and comfortable to operate. The SL boasted a more powerful engine and the stopping power was aided by anti-locking braking for added reassurance.AUTOMATICOriginally registered in August 1995 this very well presented SL320 is offered in Emerald metallic with full cream leather and is accompanied by the desirable matching hard top option. The history file includes comprehensively stamped service booklet and recent service invoices demonstrating a good degree of careful ownership together with old MoT certificates. Accompanied by an MoT test certificate until August 2018 and leather owners pack this is the ideal summer purchase in which to enjoy top down motoring in comfort and style. Offered at no reserve, this SL320 is certainly worth inspection.

Vauxhall VX220

Lot # 130 (Sale Order: 30 of 179)

The Opel Speedster was a British built mid-engined, targa topped, two-seater sports car sold by the German automaker Opel and introduced in July 2000. It was built in both right hand drive and left hand drive versions at the Lotus Cars plant in Hethel, Norfolk, England and it was presented at the Geneva Motor Show in March 1999. It was sold as the Vauxhall VX220 in the United Kingdom and the Daewoo Speedster in the Asian market. The car shared much in common with the Lotus Elise, although Opel claimed few parts were interchangeable. The Speedster utilised an aluminium chassis tub that weighed only 159 lbs. The car also featured bodywork made entirely of glass reinforced plastic(GRP). The entire car weighed only 1,929 lbs which made it considerably lighter than the similarly sized Toyota MR2. At its launch, the Speedster's all aluminium alloy 2.2 L Z22SE engine produced 147 bhp, making it more powerful than the Elise when it was launched. This fabulous one owner example is presented in silver with red leather interior and has covered a mere 7,948 miles from new which is quite exceptional. The car comes with a full main dealer service history together with eight service stamps in the original service book, original handbooks, a spare key and service bills to complement the service book. This lovely little sports car also comes with its original factory removable hard and soft targa top. This must be one of the lowest mileage, one owner example of this marque offered on the market today. A wonderful sports car which would still give most modern sports cars a run for their money on the open road!

Ferrari Dino 208 GT4

Lot # 132 (Sale Order: 32 of 179)

The Dino GT4 2+2 was a groundbreaking model for Ferrari in several ways; it was the first production Ferrari to feature the mid-engined V8 layout that would become the bulk of the company's business in subsequent decades and was the first production Ferrari to feature Bertone (rather than Pininfarina) bodywork. The Dino 308 GT4 was introduced at the Paris Motor Show in November 1973 and featured angular lines entirely different from its curvaceous 2-seater brother, the Dino 246. The styling was controversial at the time with some journalists comparing it to the Bertone-designed Lancia Stratos and Lamborghini Urraco. The chassis was based on the Dino 246 but was stretched to make room for the second row of rather small seats. The suspension was fully independent and the V8 engine mounted transversely. The V8 engine was integrally joined with the gearbox and had an alloy cylinder block and heads with twin overhead camshafts.  There were two series of GT4; the earlier cars featured a twin distributor engine and fog lamps mounted in the front valance. Later cars had a single distributor engine with fog lamps mounted behind the front grille. AUTOMATICIn 1975 Ferrari produced a 2.0 litre engine based on the same V8 twin camshaft configuration of which this is such an example. This Ferrari has only had two former keepers, the previous owner keeping her for 33 years. The silver coachwork is in excellent order as is the matching black interior. This left hand drive 2+2 is a splendid example and benefits from a full engine rebuild in June 2016 and as such, drives with no known faults. These stylish and fun to drive Dino’s have enjoyed an increase in desirability of late. Supplied with a V5C registration document and a current MoT test certificate, this handsome example is certainly a fun car to drive and is a perfectly useable example.

Chevrolet Corvette C3 Roadster

Lot # 133 (Sale Order: 33 of 179)

The Chevrolet Corvette is instantly recognisable by the marque aficionado and non-aficionado alike. The first model, a convertible, was designed by Harley Earl and introduced at the GM Motorama in 1953 as a concept show car. Originally built in Flint, Michigan and St. Louis, Missouri, the Corvette, today, is manufactured in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The third generation Corvette, the C3, was designed along the lines of the Mako Shark II concept car and was introduced for the 1968 model year continuing in production until 1982. Engines and chassis components were mostly carried over from the C2 but the body and interior were all new.AUTOMATICThis Chevrolet represents an incredibly rare example and was only produced during one year, 1968. It benefits from having a matching numbers 327c.i. engine and four-speed manual gearbox producing some 350hp. It has also been comprehensively restored to original factory specification in Safari Yellow with a contrasting black weave interior and black convertible top. It sits atop period Rally wheels and whitewall radial tyres and has travelled very few miles since its restoration. Accompanying this particularly Corvette are two detailed files relating to its history as well as the 1968 handbooks. So significant is it, that this actual car was referred to the television series, 'Car SOS' hosted by Tim Shaw and Fuzz Townshend. Imported to the UK in 2013, this very good Corvette C3 is supplied with a V5C registration document, an MoT test certificate which expires in April 2019. Rare convertible Corvettes are hard to source and so further inspection is certainly recommended in this instance.

Jaguar E-Type Series III V12 Coupé

Lot # 134 (Sale Order: 34 of 179)

The Jaguar E-Type was ten years old and needed a new lease of life. History repeated itself and it was a huge success when Jaguar debuted its robust V12 engine in a sports car instead of the saloon for which it was designed. Despite its sports car heritage, Jaguar depended on saloon vehicles for its survival and had developed the 12 cylinder engine to power them with sufficient torque and refinement. Larger and softer in nature with weight redistributed 53/47, the Series III had lost the wilds of its youth but gained the long-legged touring profile to which it was arguably better suited. Robert Bell in Motor was quoted as saying at the time that "all we expected to try was a new engine, but what in fact we drove was a new car. Not a yowling, aggressive Ferrari like machine with which, perhaps, most people associate a V12 engine, but a very smooth, quiet and refined grand touring sports car".This lovely example is presented in silver with blue leather interior and the desirable manual gearbox. Interestingly, this car also comes with air conditioning which would have been an expensive option back in 1973. This is a matching numbers example and the engine had a full rebuild in 2002 and also to note that this car has been converted to right hand drive. We are informed by the vendor that it drives extremely well and these models are sought after as a practical classic which you can even take your children for a drive being a 2+2.

BMW M6

Lot # 135 (Sale Order: 35 of 179)

The first generation M6 was critically acclaimed throughout its lifespan for its elegant, aggressive 'shark-nose' styling, luxury equipment and its performance. A top speed of 158 mph made the European M635CSi the second fastest BMW ever built next to the M1. The new BMW M6 Concept made its debut at the 2005 Geneva Motor Show. It shared the same 5.0 litre V10 S85 engine and SMG III gearbox as the E60 M5, and produced 500bhp. BMW claimed it accelerated from 0-62 mph in 4.4 seconds. In February 2006 Road & Track measured the 0-60 mph time as 4.1 seconds. The top speed was limited to 155 mph, however it was reported that the de-limited top speed was 205 mph with the optional M-driver's package.AUTOMATICWe are delighted to present this stunning BMW M6, offered in red with a grey leather interior. This rare M6 has had just four former keepers from new, and the cars condition is a credit to its previous owners. This highly desirable BMW is offered with an impressive service history and a V5C registration certificate. Presented to auction, this muscular sports car is a great opportunity to acquire a head-turning BMW.

Lot # 136 (Sale Order: 36 of 179)

In 1961, Citroën began work on 'Project S', a sports variant of the revolutionary Citroën DS. As was customary for the firm, many running concept vehicles were developed, increasingly complex and upmarket from the DS. Citroën purchased Maserati in 1968 with the intention of harnessing Maserati's high-performance V6 engine technology to produce a true Gran Turismo car combining the sophisticated Citroën suspension. The result was the Citroën SM, first shown at the Geneva Motor Show in March 1970 and which went on sale in France in September of that year. Factory produced cars were all left hand drive, although right hand conversions were available in the UK and Australia. The origin of the model name 'SM' is not completely clear. The 'S' may derive from the Project 'S' designation and the 'M' perhaps refers to Maserati, hence SM is often assumed to stand for ‘Systeme Maserati’ or ‘Sports Maserati’.AUTOMATICThis Citroën Maserati SM is in magnificent condition and is surely one of the best examples available anywhere today. The grey paintwork is unmarked and the champagne cloth interior is pristine showing no sign of wear. The highly knowledgeable and fastidious vendor has advised us she drives extremely well with no known faults. Currently EU registered, the necessary documentation is in place should the new owner wish to register the car with the DVLA. A superb history folder accompanies this Citroën, all the original handbooks are present as is the toolkit. To drive a Citroën Maserati SM is a memorable experience, power, comfort and prestige all in one package. Any interested parties are advised to inspect this Citroën to ascertain for themselves the exceptional quality.

Mercedes-Benz SL500 Mille Miglia

Lot # 137 (Sale Order: 37 of 179)

These days, Mercedes has not released too many limited edition models outside of their in house tuning arm, AMG. Before the days of AMG proliferation, Mercedes would release a special edition model from time to time, such as this 1995 SL500 Mille Miglia. Built to commemorate Stirling Moss’s win of the historic 1955 Mille Miglia road race. This R129, available as an SL320 or SL500, was available only in brilliant Silver Metallic, equipped with Evo II six-spoke polished alloys and a red and black leather interior complemented by carbon fibre trim. The side fender grills were also given a rather unique chequered flag treatment that, upon close inspection, is a clever collection of chrome squares.AUTOMATICThis right hand drive example has covered a mere 27,331 miles from new and is presented in absolutely fantastic overall condition. It was originally registered in Jersey, in November 1995, where it spent most of its life ‘pottering around’ the exclusive Channel Island tax haven, having been a 50th birthday present to its first owner. The car was supplied by Jacksons in Jersey, who serviced it at regular intervals, the first service at 6,412 miles and then the last service on the Island at 23,827 miles. The present owner, a well known broadcaster and sports commentator, purchased the car and imported to the UK in October 2015, he has cherished the car ever since.  The car was last serviced at 27,206 miles and had new tyres fitted with refurbished alloys. Typically, this lovely example comes with air conditioning, electric heated front seats and carbon fibre trim as standard, a CD changer in the boot, wind deflector and an electrically operated black soft hood. Accompanying the car is the factory hardtop, presented in superb condition, and all service books and manuals.  This car can only be described as fabulous in every respect and without question, must be the finest example of this rare sports car on the market today.

Chevrolet 3100 Stepside Pick-Up

Lot # 138 (Sale Order: 38 of 179)

The first Chevrolet pick-up truck appeared in 1924, though in-house designs did not appear until 1930; ‘C’ indicated two wheel drive. General Motors’ first major redesign post-WW2, the Advance-Design series was billed as a bigger, stronger and sleeker design in comparison to the earlier GM AK series. First available on Saturday 28th June 1947, these trucks were sold with various minor changes over the years until 25th March 1955, when the Task Force Series trucks replaced the aging Advance-Design model. Subtle changes throughout production years meant that 1953 was the last year for the 216 in inline six cylinder engine. Hood side emblems now only read 3100, 3600, 3800, 4400, or 6400 in large print; door post ID plate was now blue with silver letters (previous models used black with silver letters). AUTOMATICThe present owner imported this truck from America last year, where it had just undergone a full frame off nut and bolt restoration by one of America’s leading restorers, Kurt De Mauro four years ago. This is an all steel body truck with no fibreglass and the paint is outstanding, which cost $9000 and is a three stage colour called White Chocolate and has a stunning pearl metallic tint to it. All the chrome and trim are in fabulous condition and the oak wood bed has a wonderful clear finish to it. The inner walls of the bed were done in a colour matched textured finish, making them more durable if wanted to load up the bed for shows or just to go on holiday. The rear bumper was removed to improve the aesthetics and a master pin-stripe artist, called Conways Customs, was employed to work their magic with just some subtle changes. This surely must be one of the finest on the market today.

Maserati Kyalami

Lot # 140 (Sale Order: 40 of 179)

Named after the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit in South Africa, the Maserati Kyalami was produced by the Italian manufacturer from 1976 to 1983. It was a new model rushed into production after Alejandro de Tomaso took helm of the company. De Tomaso had Pietro Frua take Tom Tjaarda's design of the De Tomaso Longchamp (itself inspired by the Mercedes 450 SLC) and modify the front and rear end to create a distinctive Maserati feel for the new car. The interior was also upgraded to incorporate classic Maserati elements such as the steering wheel and instrumentation. 210 Kyalami's were built between 1976 and 1983. Due to its rarity, very little was written in magazines about the Kyalami. However, direct owner experiences confirmed the fundamental validity of its design, with a well-balanced, stiff chassis offering excellent body control and an agile, very easy to control handling. The performance offered by the 4.9 litre V8 was characterised by the abundant power and torque delivered by the engine. This very rare right hand drive manual gearbox example, is presented in Rame Metallic with its original cream leather interior. A substantial history file accompanies the car which includes many receipts from previous work done by various Maserati specialists, Bill McGrath being one of them. There is also evidence on file confirming substantial work done on the engine in 2000 by Rossi Engineering, Sunbury-on-Thames, Middlesex. The car also comes with a driver’s manual and parts manual, which is rare to find and there is also documentation showing that the car has covered a mere 825 miles since 2010 having been laid up as part of a private collection for. The paintwork is in very good condition and according to the owner, this Maserati drives extremely well. This is a very desirable Italian classic which is practical and powerful, producing circa 290 horsepower from its 4.9 litre V8 and is truly a rare car from the Italian marque and particularly as it is right hand drive; it is surely destined for the discerning collector or someone passionate for the ultimate classic sports coupé. The car comes with its UK V5 documentation and a recent MoT certificate.

Rolls-Royce Camargue

Lot # 141 (Sale Order: 41 of 179)

With plenty of money at the top of the market in the early 1970s, Rolls-Royce decided to try and conquer a little bit more of it by building a range-topping coupé to slot in above the Corniche in the model range. Using the Silver Shadow underpinnings and enlisting Pininfarina to style them, Rolls-Royce came up with the Camargue - Britain's most expensive car at a launch price of £29,250. Pininfarina ended up styling something reasonably handsome but also very derivative so there was a resemblance to a Fiat 130 coupé and Ferrari GT4 2+2 designs. The 6,750cc, V8 had more power and torque than the Corniche but, in truth, it didn't feel all that different to drive which might explain why the Corniche outsold the Camargue. That and, of course, the lofty price tag.Originally registered on 19th October 1982, this Rolls-Royce has only had one owner and presents in delightful condition. The Royal Blue paintwork is unmarked and the interior is in time warp condition; the grey leather is as new as are the blue Wilton carpets. Supplied by H.R.Owen to a prominent Middle Eastern royal family, this Camargue has covered less than 5,000 miles from new. The odometer reading is currently 1,367 miles although this was repaired very early on in the cars life. The level of comfort and luxury of this exquisitely designed example is second to none. Supplied with a V5C registration document and a full one year MoT test certificate, together with the original handbooks, this Rolls-Royce Camargue is surely the lowest mileage example available worldwide and a must for any serious collector.

Lancia Fulvia 1.3S

Lot # 144 (Sale Order: 44 of 179)

The Lancia Fulvia Coupé appeared in 1965, based on a shortened chassis from the saloon that was introduced two years earlier, beautifully built and exquisite to drive it was a cut above the Fiats and Fords of the day. Initially fitted with an 80bhp 1200 cc engine, power was increased to 87bhp with the 1.3 rally and then 90bhp in the Rally S. There was also a 88bhp 1200 HF, an 101bhp 1300HF and the 115/130bhp 1600HF . It soon became involved in rallying and in HF form, and won the world championship several times, beginning  Lancias domination of the sport for two decades.AUTOMATIC AUTOMATICThis car has had three owners in total and was originally registered in Catania in 1974.AUTOMATICIt was then sold to a Mr Annotasi from Ragusa in 1987 and then to his friend Giuseppe Previto also in Ragusa in 2010. Mr Previto had owned a Fulvia in the late 60’s early 70’s and hankered after one ever since, he apparently spent many years persuading Mr Annotasi to sell it. Just out of interest, Ragusa is where some of Montalbano TV programs are filmed. AUTOMATICThe car has been very well looked after and there is good evidence of maintenance, however as several parts have been recently replaced, all the present owner has had to do is replace the gear-lever gaiter and free-off one of the brake callipers.  It has had a complete service, engine oil, gearbox oil and brake fluid change and went through its first MoT without any advisories.   A fantastic car that just needs driving!  All the factory spot-welds are visible on the sills and the wheel arches, the wheels are completely unmarked and the wheel centres, which are usually corroded, are all very good. The paint and bodywork are excellent and virtually unmarked. The interior is completely original, the carpets and dashboard are excellent and the instruments all work.  AUTOMATICPresented with the car is the undamaged rubber boot mat, spare wheel, jack, and toolkit, even the warning triangle is included. These stylish and popular Italian sports cars are great fun to drive and relish high revs and country roads, fun and practical for all types of motoring.AUTOMATIC

Ford Thunderbird Convertible

Lot # 145 (Sale Order: 45 of 179)

Detroit took tentative steps into the rising sports car market in the early 1950’s but it took Ford to demonstrate that a domestic production sports car, rather than being noisy, drafty and saddled with mundane power, could also satisfy more traditional buyers who wanted such common American automotive amenities as side windows, heaters and big-car styling. They did it with the all-new 1955 Thunderbird. The new T-Bird had it all: a stylish, low-slung body, a rumbling 292/198 HP Y-Block, V-8 engine, luxurious accommodation and an optional equipment list that included power assists, a removable hard top that offered more weather protection than the side curtains and fold down tops used in most other sports cars and a choice of manual or automatic transmissions. The Thunderbird was essentially a downsized luxury car, but its bright demeanour and powerful engine made it immediately popular with the sports car set and its first year sales total of 16,155 cars was a pleasant surprise to Fords top brass. This prototypical 1955 Ford Thunderbird personifies all the charms that first established the model's popularity.AUTOMATICOriginally sourced at the now famous Pebble Beach auctions in 2014 and imported to the UK in 2015, this great-looking example has undergone a full, frame-off restoration and is professionally finished in Waterfall Blue. It sports a new and correct blue and white interior with the factory radio and offers the choice of both a white soft top and matching hard top. Firestone wide white-wall tyres and optional wire wheel hubcaps were popular period choices for this car which is powered by the formentioned 292 c.i. Thunderbird V-8 mated to a three-speed manual transmission with optional overdrive. The highly detailed engine compartment and chassis are great finishing touches to this classic piece of fifties Americana. This excellent T-Bird is supplied with a V5C registration document and copies of the American title. Thunderbirds are hard to find in such excellent condition and with the added options making this a relaxing drive, there are very few driving experiences that can compete.

Ferrari 308 GTS QV (V12 4.8 litre)

Lot # 146 (Sale Order: 46 of 179)

The 308 GTB was launched at the Paris Motor Show in 1975 and was built alongside the 308 GT4, designed as a replacement for the 246 Dino. Designed by Leonardo Fiorvanti, the man who styled some of the most iconic Ferraris including the Daytona, the new 308 was a rakish and attractive body which fused classic elements of Ferrari styling with a thoroughly modern design. For the first two years of production the body of the 308 was produced in fibreglass, after which steel was used. The 308 shared a similar tube frame chassis as the original Dino and 308 GT4 with four wheel double wishbone independent suspension. The gearbox was a five speed manual unit with all synchromesh. In 1982 the Quattrovalvole (QV) engine was introduced which featured four valves per cylinder and saw power increase to 245bhp at 7000rpm from 214bhp of the earlier 308 GTBi engine. Performance was impressive with 0-60mph attained in 6.7 seconds, 0-100mph in 14.30 seconds and on to a top speed of 156mph.  AUTOMATICThis Ferrari 308 GTS was supplied new by Maranello Sales Ltd, Egham in March 1985 to a London based property developer.  At the end of the 1980’s he decided a little more power was required, so he approached Nigel Mansell’s Ferrari Dealership, Emblem Sports Cars in Dorset, and asked them to fit the fuel injected four litre V12 400 series engine, taking the top speed of this car to over 200mph. Ferrari did not usually release their engines for use in other projects, but it is believed that Mansell was able to acquire the £75,000 unit as he had a great relationship with the factory, having driven for their F1 team for two years. AUTOMATICThe vendor located the car in 2013, following a ten year period in storage. The person that did the conversion, Nigel Hudson, was entrusted to carry out an extensive two year recommissioning programme. The result is a very special Ferrari and one that can only be described as a ‘wolf in sheep's clothing’. This example is believed to be one of only four 308s worldwide that boasts a V12 engine. Finished in the delightful colour combination of Blue Chiaro with cream leather interior, this Ferrari is supplied with a V5C registration document, a current MoT test certificate together with a history folder. A superb rare 308 that offers style and power in abundance.AUTOMATIC

Morris Mini Cooper S Mk. II

Lot # 147 (Sale Order: 47 of 179)

Designed by Alex Issigonis in 1959, a new concept in car design was born. With a monocoque shell, transversely mounted engine and front wheel drive, the new 'Mini', soon became popular across a broad spectrum of the population. The potential for competition use was soon seen by John Cooper; BMC were finally persuaded by John Cooper and the two worked together in culminating the birth of the Austin Mini Cooper and the Morris Mini Cooper in 1961. Victories in the 1964, 1965 and 1967 Monte-Carlo Rallies set the Mini on the road to fame but probably the greatest publicity was gained from their, somewhat unfair, disqualification for lighting irregularities in the 1966 event after coming in 1st, 2nd and 3rd. A more powerful Mini Cooper, dubbed the 'S', was developed in tandem and released in 1963. Approximately 2,500 Mk. II Cooper S were built making it one of the rarest versions of this very collectible motor car.AUTOMATICThis good Mk. II Cooper S was supplied new to Malaysia where the vendor believes that it only covered 40,000 miles and was restored some time ago fitting wide arches and air conditioning. Imported and registered in the UK last year, it is reported that it drives very well with new Minilite wheels and new tyres fitted. Finished in black with a Union Jack roof and red interior, this Cooper S is supplied with a V5C registration document and a MoT test certificate. Offering all the performance and charm as the Mk. I at half the price, this Mk. II Cooper S is a fantastic opportunity to own a piece of motoring history.

BMW 635csi Coupé

Lot # 148 (Sale Order: 48 of 179)

Karmann manufactured the early 6-Series BMW's from launch in 1976 before BMW took production in house. The most significant technological upgrade on the E24 range took place in 1982 where after all models were constructed upon the more advanced E28 chassis right through until production ceased in 1989. This 1989 635CSi has the pure elegant lines associated with the earlier cars which accentuate the 'shark-nose' design in the absence of the front skirts and the other exterior evolutions which came with the later generations. At the same time, this model enjoys all of the benefits associated with construction on what was then the brand new E28 platform.AUTOMATICThis excellent, rust free, 1988 BMW 635csi Highline was supplied when new by Jacksons Garage in Guernsey C.I. in November 1989. It was sold again by Jacksons Garage but this time in Jersey C.I. where it has been lovingly kept until being imported to the UK in February this year. It has a very good service history with the last service carried out in April 2018, at the same time having a new battery, auxiliary belts, wiper blades, rear drop links and four new Michelin TRX GT tyres fitted, all at a cost of over £2,500. Finished in the classic BMW colour scheme of Alpine White with black interior, this 635csi will be UK registered by the time of the sale and is supplied with an MoT test certificate which expires in April 2019, Jersey registration document, complete handbook pack, file of invoices, all the correct tools including the BMW touch, two complete set of keys and the original Blaupunkt radio/cassette player. The superb condition of this car is verified just looking in the boot and finding the original unused spare wheel. These elegant 1980’s BMW’s are becoming very sought after and it is very difficult to find one in this condition. A true classic!

Mercedes-Benz SL 320 Roadster

Lot # 149 (Sale Order: 49 of 179)

The Mercedes-Benz R129 models were produced from 1989 through to 2001 and were sold under the SL-Class model names. The R129 replaced the R107 SL-Class in 1989 and was subsequently replaced by the R230 in 2001.The R129 was based on the shortened floorpan of the Mercedes-Benz W124 saloon and featured many innovative details for the time. For example, electronically controlled shock absorbers (optional) and a hidden, automatically extending roll-over bar. The level of standard equipment was high, with electrically operated windows, mirrors, seats and convertible hood. The R129 came to public attention in 1991 when Diana, Princess of Wales, sold her Jaguar XJS to lease a J-registration, metallic red 500SL, becoming the first member of the royal family to use a foreign car. This controversy sparked a media storm as it was questioned whether a member of British royalty should drive foreign cars. Media pressure eventually forced her to return the car to Mercedes-Benz in 1992 with whom it now resides in the Mercedes-Benz Museum.AUTOMATICThis delightful SL 320 Roadster presents in excellent order and is described by the vendor as being a very good example. A fully stamped service book accompanies this Mercedes-Benz and confirms a recent spend of £3,750. A desirable panoramic glass roof is fitted as are 18 inch OZ dished split rim alloy wheels. The bodywork is in excellent order and the interior virtually unmarked. Supplied with a V5C registration document together with the original book pack, two keys and an MoT test certificate valid until 9th April 2019. These R129 SL’s are superb cars to drive, this one certainly defies its 20 years of age.

Rolls-Royce Silver Seraph

Lot # 150 (Sale Order: 50 of 179)

The Rolls-Royce Silver Seraph was first unveiled on 3rd March, 1998 at the Geneva Motor Show. It replaced the Silver Spur which ended production in 1997. All Seraphs were hand-built at the Rolls-Royce factory in Crewe, England, which stopped making Rolls-Royce models in 2002 but continued with Bentley. The car had a base price of £155,175 in the UK and was powered by a 5.4 litre aluminium alloy BMW V12 engine, making it the first twelve-cylinder Rolls-Royce since the 1939 Phantom III. Standard electronics included digital engine management, adaptive ride control and anti-lock brakes. Aside from the radiator grille, badges and wheels, the Rolls-Royce was externally identical to the contemporary Bentley Arnage, sharing both its platform and bodyshell. Inside, the Rolls-Royce Silver Seraph and the Bentley Arnage were similar but quite distinct from one another. In the Seraph, the gear selector was column-mounted and the gauges followed a traditional Rolls-Royce layout (for example, there was no tachometer). In both cars, the seats and dashboard were upholstered in Connolly leather, with dashboard trim and folding picnic trays for rear passengers and glossy burr walnut veneer.AUTOMATICSupplied by Leodis Court in Leeds (now JCT 600) and registered on 1st October 1998, this Rolls-Royce is in splendid condition. The paintwork is in two-tone Silver Pearl and Black Sapphire whilst the interior is in the colour combination of Atlantic Blue and Stratos; this is a particularly handsome car. The interior also benefits from having rear picnic tables and a sunroof. A 48,000 mile service was carried out in June 2017 by marque specialist Daniel Moore & Co in Whittlesey at 59,121 miles and, together with some mechanical work, the invoice totalled £2,585.09. Supplied with a V5C registration document and a current MoT test certificate; Rolls-Royce Silver Seraphs are rare and are fast becoming recognised as highly desirable and collectable, they are a superb car to travel in.AUTOMATIC
