Rare Smith & Wesson .44 Hand Ejector 2nd Model Revolver
Lot # 8 (Sale Order: 8 of 699)
serial #46751, 45 Colt, 6 1/2" barrel with an excellent bore. The .44 Hand Ejectors 2nd Model were made mostly in 44 Special but small quantities trickled out in other calibers and are considered rare; it is reported that only 727 were made in 45 Colt. This revolver is not only chambered for a rare caliber but remains in grand condition retaining about 99% original blue finish with a faint turn ring on the cylinder, a very light oxidation stain on the backstrap and a few minor handling marks. The service style trigger and service hammer retain beautiful swirls of case-hardened color as does the lanyard loop. The diamond checkered walnut factory grips with gold S&W medallions are numbered to the gun and rate excellent. All appropriate parts are correctly numbered to the gun and function is excellent. The left side of the barrel has the company name with patent dates on the top, but no caliber markings on the right side. This gun has not seen much use and only lacks the factory box to "send it over the top". A beautiful 1935-made 2nd Model in a rare caliber that no collector should pass up. (88620-13) {C&R}

Lot # 16 (Sale Order: 16 of 699)
serial #324072, 22 S/L/LR (Barrel marked .22 S.L. OR L.R.), 24" round barrel with an excellent bore. The metal surfaces of this grooved receiver rifle retain 98% original blue with a hint of silvering at muzzle, some light handling marks on barrel and operational wear on magazine tube. The walnut buttstock has some nicely figured grain that approaches semi-deluxe and it rates near excellent retaining much of its factory finish with a couple spots of light flaking and some minor handling marks. The walnut forend rates near excellent retaining much of its factory finish with a few light handling marks. A very nice example of these desirable Winchester slide action rifles overall. Colt New Service Double Action Revolver
Lot # 20 (Sale Order: 20 of 699)
serial #353158, 45 Colt, 5 1/2" barrel with a bright excellent bore. The metal surfaces on this big bore Colt retain about 98% original blue, showing some very light muzzle wear, very light high edge wear and the sparsely scattered minor handling mark here or there, the cylinder with light rotational rings. The bright polished sides of the hammer remain brilliant with a bit of operational wear and vivid color case-hardening on the lanyard loop. The checkered walnut grips with silver Rampant Colt medallions rate excellent to as-new, the left grip with a tiny scratch on its butt; they are appropriately un-numbered. The revolver comes in its original purple-tone, hinge-top box, numbered to the gun on its underside with test target, numbered to a different gun, and correct end label. Really a very nice big bore New Service overall in an extremely fine state of condition. (38659-49) {C&R}
