Item Details
Nice piece of US currency. This is a Star Note, as signified by the star next to the serial number. The term "Star Note" also refers to replacement notes. These notes are printed by the Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) to replace misprinted and damaged notes before they get released into circulation. They are usually much more rare than non star notes of the same series. This note has definitely has seen some circulation but still a nice note! This is one of the historic Silver Certificates, because printed on the bottom of the note it says "ONE DOLLAR IN SILVER PAYABLE TO THE BEARER ON DEMAND." This note, when it was first printed, was actually backed by physical silver. Very awesome piece of US history. We're not currency experts, so we have no idea of value, but currency this old has to be worth something. And with physical currency more and more becoming replaced with digital forms of payment, there's a strong chance that these older historical currencies will become even more collectible as people become nostalgic for the days when their wallets and purses were full of beautifully designed notes of exchange. Shipping is a flat rate of $5, no matter how many lots won. All winning bidders will be changed a single flat rate of $5 and all items won will be combined into one package. If multiple auctions are set to close during the same week, all items won from both auctions will be combined into one package and shipped out on Friday of that week.
