Item Details
The Gewehr 41, commonly known as the G41(W) or G41(M), denoting the manufacturer (Walther or Mauser), is a battle rifle manufactured and used by Nazi Germany during World War II. It is a semi-automatic rifle with a higher rate of fire than existing bolt-action rifle models at the time and used a mechanism known as the "Bang" system (after its Danish designer Soren H. Bang). In this system, propellant gases were captured by a cone-shaped gas trap at the muzzle, which in turn deflected them to operate a small piston which in turn pushed on a long piston rod that opened the breech and reloaded the gun. This is as opposed to the more common type of gas-actuated system, in which gases are tapped off from the barrel, and push back on a piston to open the breech to the rear. G41(W) rifles were produced at two factories, namely Walther at Zella Mehlis, and Berlin-Lubecker Maschinenfabrik. Walther guns bear the AC code, and WaA359 inspection proofs, while BLM guns bear the DUV code with WaA214 inspection proofs. These rifles are relatively scarce, and quite valuable in collector grade. Varying sources put production figures between 40,000 and 145,000 units. This G41(W) was made at the Berlin-Lubecker Maschinenfabrik factory in 1943 and retains the original WaA214 inspection proof stamps throughout. Features include a 21.5" barrel, 1.5" cone-shaped muzzle gas trap, wooden handguard, adjustable flip up v-notch rear sight, hooded ramp front sight, bayonet lug, cleaning rod, brown leather sling and 10-round detachable box magazine. Matching numbers include receiver, floorplate, magazine well and sight. Non-matching numbers include bolt/ cover and muzzle gas trap. This gun is in good condition with battle wear, has an excellent sharp/ clean bore and is in perfect working order.

- There is a $15 Per Gun Paperwork Fee. This applies to guns being shipped and still applies if the buyer is an dealer.

- Guns may be picked up to avoid shipping costs. All Federal & State Gun Laws/ holding periods apply. The procedure for picking up a gun is the same as buying a gun in a gun store.
- SHIPPING RATES - 1 long gun = $50, 1 handgun = $30, $10 for each additional gun, regardless if it is a long gun or handgun.
- SHIPPING EXAMPLES - 2 long guns = $60, 2 handguns = $40, 1 long gun & 1 handgun = $60, 3 long guns = $70, 3 handguns = $50 - Items other than firearms will have a shipping cost listed at the end of the description
- WE WAIT ONE WEEK AFTER THE AUCTION BEFORE WE START PACKING/ SHIPPING. Items will be shipped out sometime between Monday, March 28th & Monday, April 4th.
- Each successful buyer will receive a tracking number from UPS when their package(s) have shipped.
