Item Details
The MAS-49 is a French semi-automatic rifle that replaced various bolt action rifles as the French service rifle and was produced from 1949 to 1965. It was designed and manufactured by the government-owned MAS arms factory. The initial MAS-49 semi-automatic rifle was produced in limited quantities (20,600 units), whereas the shorter and lighter variant, the MAS-49/56, was issued to all branches of the French military. Overall, the MAS-49 and 49/56 rifles gained the reputation of being accurate, reliable and easy to maintain in adverse environments. This MAS49/56 was made in circa 1958-1960 and was re-arsenaled in 1982 (receiver stamped "P82"). Although many imported MAS rifles were rechambered for the 7.62mm NATO round, this rifle appears to retain its original chambering of 7.5×54mm French. Features include a 20.75" barrel which includes muzzle break, grenade launcher, adjustable rear peep sight, front post sight and black rubber buttpad sleeve marked "MAS 1962". - It is the buyers responsibility to have their dealer (Sporting Goods Store, Pawn Shop or Local Gun Dealer) email us a copy of their license - auction@willsullivanauction.com
- Guns may be picked up to avoid shipping costs. All Federal & State Gun Laws/ holding periods apply. The procedure for picking up a gun is the same as buying a gun in a gun store.
- SHIPPING RATES - 1 long gun = $50, 1 handgun = $30, $10 for each additional gun, regardless if it is a long gun or handgun.
- SHIPPING EXAMPLES - 2 long guns = $60, 2 handguns = $40, 1 long gun & 1 handgun = $60, 3 long guns = $70, 3 handguns = $50 - Items other than firearms will have a shipping cost listed and the end of the description
- WE WAIT ONE WEEK AFTER THE AUCTION BEFORE WE START PACKING/ SHIPPING. Items will be shipped out sometime between Monday, OCTOBER 4th & MONDAY, OCTOBER 18th.
- Each successful buyer will receive a tracking number from UPS when their package(s) have shipped.
- There is a $15 per gun Paperwork Fee. This applies to guns being shipped and still applies if the buyer is an FFL.
- Each successful buyer will receive a invoice within 24 hours after the conclusion of the auction. This will be a "Final Invoice" which will include shipping and/ or any other fees that may apply.
- If you do not see your invoice in your Inbox, please check your Spam. If you have not received an invoice by Monday, September 27th, please let us know.
