Overview of 1942 Winchester, Model 75 Target, 22 LR Cal., Bolt-Action, SN - 30129
Item Details
The Winchester Model 75 is .22 caliber sporting rifle produced from 1938 to 1958. In the 1930s, Winchester had been building the Model 52, a high-quality target rifle that was used by many shooting teams worldwide, for a number of decades. By 1938 they decided to build new target rifle that was lighter than Model 52 and more suitable for young shooters but could still win matches if used by more experienced shooters. Taking the action of the Model 69 as a base, a new rifle was developed around the action; this weapon would become the Model 75. The action was later modified to allow for a bit of an advantage compared to other rifles when it came to precision shooting. The Model 75 began production in 1938 and was first advertised in 1939, touting it as being lighter but as accurate as the older Model 52. This Model 75 was made in 1942 and features a smooth walnut stock with tapered beavertail forearm and oiled finish, 28" target barrel, Lyman fully adjustable rear peep sight, domed crosshair front sight, stainless bolt, sling rings with adjustable front stud and detachable box magazine. This gun is in nice condition with light wear, has a sharp bore and a good tight action.

- ALL GUNS BEING SHIPPED MUST BE SHIPPED TO AN FFL OR C&R - THIS INCLUDES BLACK POWDERS & ANTIQUES - This is an Illinois Law
- It is the buyers responsibility to have their dealer (Sporting Goods Store, Pawn Shop or Local Gun Dealer) email us a copy of their license - auction@willsullivanauction.com
- Guns may be picked up to avoid shipping costs. All Federal & State Gun Laws/ holding periods apply. The procedure for picking up a gun is the same as buying a gun in a gun store.
- SHIPPING RATES - 1 long gun = $50, 1 handgun = $30, $10 for each additional gun, regardless if it is a long gun or handgun.
- SHIPPING EXAMPLES - 2 long guns = $60, 2 handguns = $40, 1 long gun & 1 handgun = $60, 3 long guns = $70, 3 handguns = $50
- Items other than firearms will have a shipping cost listed and the end of the description
- Items will be shipped out sometime between Monday, July 5th & Friday July 16th.
- Each successful buyer will receive a tracking number from UPS when their package(s) have shipped.
- There is a $15 per gun Paperwork Fee. This applies to guns being shipped and still applies if the buyer is an FFL.
- Each successful buyer will receive a invoice after the conclusion of the auction from ProxiBid. This invoice will not include shipping or any extra fees.
- Each successful buyer will receive a Final Invoice sometime between Saturday, June 26th - Tuesday, June 29th.
