Using only the highest-quality parts and materials during its restoration. The restoration of this bus was performed over a two-year period and was completed in 2015. Nothing was overlooked on this build. Configured with nine seats, a full middle seat and right-side cargo doors. As a U.S.-spec model, it has six pop-out windows, American bumpers and safety belt mountings. Restored with meticulous attention to detail inside and out. This was a very dry bus found in the Southwest with no rust. The body was completely stripped down and massaged to better-than-new, then finished in the highest-quality German paint available. Every inch of this bus has been restored to concours-quality; all windows on the bus have been replaced with new Safari-style glass, including front windshields and the ultra-rare Safari back glass. The bus is powered by a completely rebuilt 1,600cc 4-cylinder factory German engine and a 4-speed Freeway Flyer manual transmission that allows the bus to drive wonderful on both city streets and highways. Every part of the interior has either been replaced or restored to like-new condition. The two-tone interior has been professionally installed, as was the floor, which was done in authentic German square-weave carpet.
