We are not a collection agency and do not have time to chase down your payment. If your credit card is no good please change it in Proxibid NOW. Under no circumstance do we take credit card data over the phone. We will process your card immediately following the auction. If it is declined we will process it again 24 hours later. For online bidders we accept MasterCard, Visa, AMEX and Discover for orders under $2000. Orders over $2000 require a cashiers check. You will receive an invoice from Proxibid immediately following the auction. Your card on file w/ Proxibid will be billed for your purchase amount, buyers premium and tax if applicable immediately following the auction. It is the responsibility of the buyer to have a valid credit card w/ Proxibid.
Cashiers checks must be mailed to PO Box 381, Hodges, SC 29653. We will include shipping with your original invoice so you only need one cashiers check.
Then we will get a shipping cost and repeat this process for shipping, insurance and packing costs. SC residents will be charged a 6% sales tax unless we have a valid retail license on file. No Tax on Coins. 15% Buyers Premium.
Local buyers - can pay cash or check on pick up. Please notify us immediately following the auction if you are picking up in person so we do not ship your items. Local bidders....you cannot pay in person until AFTER the auction is over and we generate a Proxibid invoice. If you attend LIVE and bid ONLINE you will pay twice. Remember, even if you are picking up at our auction house the buyers premium is still 15%.

We do not have staff members waiting by the phone and we spend most of our time in the field. All items sold 'as is, where is". E-mail questions. Remember, if there is a problem with your purchase you have to let us know. We cannot fix what we do not know about.
Please read all terms and conditions completely. We honor our terms and conditions including ship out dates, question replies, returns, payment requirements, etc.
* When purchasing anything potentially historical or archeological in nature (Native American artifacts, Civil War related and the like) we do not and cannot attest to the authenticity or age of those items. If we know 100% for certain of those items being authentic we will list them at such. We can only guarantee you will receive the item in the photo.
* It is up to the buyers to provide us with a FFL for gun shipments. We do not call your dealer for you.
* We accept credit cards for orders under $2000 and cashiers checks for orders $2000 and over.
* Delivery confirmation from USPS or UPS is considered proof of delivery
* Items may not ship our for 2 weeks following payment though we typically ship on
the 5th business day following payment.

Firearms Buyers: We do our best to give you accurate information but we are not graders and you know as well as us that condition is subjective. E-mail questions prior to auction day.
Jewelry Buyers: We attempt to provide accurate descriptions for all jewelry. All stones are tested electronically and all metals are either stamped or tested. If you have questions, please e-mail us before bidding and not after. All items are sold As Is, Where Is and are available for inspection at our auction house. Qualities such as cut, clarity, color and carat are estimations provided by our sellers and not Lakelands Auction Services. We do not appraise any item and any appraisals are provided by our sellers. If upon receipt you disagree with an appraisal there is nothing we can do about it.We do not accept returns and by bidding you understand this.
Coin Buyers: We are not graders and any grading that may be offered comes from our sellers or professional grading companies. All items are sold As Is, Where Is and are available for inspection at our auction house. As coin buyers you know as well as we do that opinions will vary as to the grade of any coins. That being said, review the photos and bid accordingly. Additionally, all coins offered are from reputable dealers and collectors and we believe them to be authentic. However, we do not weigh, measure or perform any other test to authenticate each coin and we offer no guarantees whether written, verbal or implied. By bidding you have accepted the risks, though small, that may apply. No returns are accepted and by bidding you understand this.
Pottery/Glass: Please note that we will state repairs "ONLY" when known or obvious We do not test each piece. We do not note "straw" marks as this an accepted part of the mold and not an issue. You should assume all pottery has some crazing. Also, in regards to pottery, anything potential flaws that have been glazed over is considered acceptable and will not be noted.
Furniture: You should assume all furniture will have some scratches and surface wear. It is all "used" furniture. We do our best to accurately describe styles, age and wood type. However, you need to look at photos and judge for yourself.
Shipping is via USPS when possible w/ insurance and tracking required. Firearms and ammo will ship UPS. We are located in SC. We charge ACTUAL shipping plus a $2.00 per shipment handling & packing fee. The further away you live from SC the higher the shipping costs will be. It is not cheap to ship to the west coast, Alaska & Hawaii.
Please do not complain about shipping costs. We "DO NOT" gouge shipping. We place your items in the smallest box safely possible with packing. We then weigh that box and enter your address. The shipping costs are determined by the shipper. On all items except jewelry and coins we add $2.00 per package to that costs and bill you. We can ship anything that you are willing to pay for.
International bidders will be charged actual shipping as well.

Unless noted as New in Box, NIB then assume most items auctioned are of considerable age or used and may exhibit wear, usage, repairs and damage. We will attempt to note any issues and offer a percent condition analysis. However, all lots are sold 'AS IS, and neither we nor the consignor makes any warranties or representations, express or implied, as to the title, merchantability, fitness, or condition with respect to such lots. All statements contained in the catalog or in any bill of sale, invoice, or elsewhere as to authorship, period, culture, source, origin, measurement, quality, rarity, provenance, importance, exhibition and literature of historical relevance, or physical condition ARE QUALIFIED STATEMENTS OF OPINION AND NOT REPRESENTATIONS OR WARRANTIES. We and the Consignor are not responsible for errors or omissions in the catalogue or any supplement material. The purchaser expressly acknowledges and agrees that in no event should Lakelands Auction Services be liable for any damages including, without limitation, any compensatory, incidental, or consequential damages. We reserve the right to withdraw any property before the sale and shall have no liability whatsoever for withdrawal of property.
The auctioneer reserves the right to reject any bid. The highest bidder acknowledged by the auctioneer will be the purchaser. In the event of a dispute between bidders, the auctioneer has final discretion to determine the successful bidder.
Internet bidders: Lakelands Auction Services is providing Internet pre-auction and live bidding as a service to Bidder. Bidder acknowledges and understands that this service may or may not function correctly the day of the auction. Under no circumstances shall Bidder have any kind of claim against Lakelands Auction Services or anyone else if the Internet service fails to work correctly before or during the live auction. Lakelands auction Services will not be responsible for any missed bids from any source. No sale is final until Lakelands Auction Services has reconciled the sale and an invoice has been received by Bidder.
On the fall of the auctioneer's hammer, title to the offered lot will pass to the highest bidder acknowledged by the auctioneer, and such bidder thereupon assumes full risk and responsibility, and will pay the full purchase price plus buyer’s premium and any applicable fees such as sales tax at end of auction.

Lakelands Auction Services may impose, and the purchaser agrees to pay, a 1.5% per month late charge on the total purchase price in invoices that are outstanding over thirty (30) days after the date of the sale.
Local buyers - can pay cash or check on pick up. Please notify us prior to the auction if possible or ASAP so we do not ship your items.
If any applicable conditions herein are not complied with by the purchaser, in addition to other remedies available to us and the consignor by law, including without limitation the right to hold the purchaser liable for the total purchase price, we at our option may either (a) cancel the sale, retaining as liquidated damages all payments (including deposits) made by the purchaser or (b) resell the property on no notice either privately or at public auction without reserve & in either event the purchaser will be liable for any deficiency in the purchase price & all costs & expenses, including: storage fees, handling charges, the expenses of both sales & our commissions on both sales at our regular rates, all other charges due hereunder, including attorney fees & incidental damages. In addition, a defaulting purchaser shall be deemed to have granted us a security interest in, & we may retain as collateral security for such purchaser's obligations to use, any property, in our possession owned by such purchaser. Payment will not be considered to have been made full until your check has cleared the bank.
Lakelands Auction Services undertakes the execution of absentee bids as a convenience for clients and is not responsible for failure to execute bids, or for any error in the execution of bids.
The bidder’s sole and exclusive remedy is the rescission of the sale and the refund of the original purchase price plus any of buyer’s premium made, and is in lieu of any other remedy that may otherwise be available as a matter of law or in equity. Lakelands auction Services and the Consignor shall not by liable for any incidental or consequential damages incurred.
Antique Firearms: If you purchase an antique firearm, we will mail this firearm to your desired address once we obtain a copy of your driver’s license. This allows Lakelands Auction Services to verify the age of the individual buying the gun.
Curio & Relic Guns: If you purchase a gun that is a valid C&R, we will mail to the buyer(s) once we obtain a copy of your C&R license.
All other gun transfers: Lakelands Auction Service will mail all post 1898 guns to purchasers if we obtain a copy of your C&R license (if applicable), your FFL license (if you have one) or obtain a copy of an FFL license holder in your area that will handle the transfer for you. Licenses can be mailed, faxed or emailed to our location. The FFL must be signed by holder of the license. Guns will be shipped within 5 days of receipt of these licenses. Guns can be picked up at our location within 5 business days of the auction. All Federal and SC laws apply if picking up at our auction facility including paperwork and background checks.
Attention out of state buyers: It is the buyer’s responsibility to know and understand your state's gun laws. If you are the winner of a gun and you find out that it is not legal in your state, you are responsible to pay for the gun. We will then sell it for you as a consignor at the next gun auction. Our normal, regular seller consignment fees will apply.
These Terms and Conditions of Sale and the purchaser's and our respective rights and obligations hereunder are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina. By bidding at an auction, each purchaser and bidder agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions of Sale. Any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or relating to this agreement, or the breach, termination, or validity thereof, brought by or against Lakelands Auction Services (but not including claims brought against the consignor by the purchaser of lots consigned hereunder) shall be resolved by legal action brought in Greenwood County, South Carolina as the sole place for jurisdiction and litigation of any issues between the parties.
