Racecard for the racecourse debut of Red Rum as a two-year-old in the Thursby Selling Plate at Aintree Friday 7th April 1967, already gelded, running in the black & pink quartered, black cap, colours of his first owner Mr Maurice Kingsley, trained by Tim Molony and although not stated on the racecard ridden by Paul Cook, the pair dead-heating for first place with the filly Curlicue; sold together with another Aintree racecard featuring Red Rum, 27th March 1969, the day Red Rum finished 2nd in the Lancashire Hurdle, on this occasion in the ownership of Mrs L Brotherton, trained by Bobby Renton and ridden by Paddy Broderick (2) Provenance: The Collection of the late Ossie Dale.
