dating: second quarter of the 17th Century, provenance: England, Wide, single -and false-edged blade with saw-back and tang; finely engraved on both sides with floral motifs, dated "1630" on one side; beautiful, solid iron hilt, the shell-guard, the arm of the quillon and the guard all decorated with silver lozenge and dots; grip with pommel shaped as a stylized bird, partially pierced, ring-nut and pommel decorated with the silver effigy of a human face between floral motifs, the central part of the grip chiselled with bas-relieved masks between floral pattern., , dimensions: length 75 cm.
