A 1980 Mercedes-Benz 450SLC Chassis: WDB 107024-22-031739 The Mercedes-Benz SLC was renowned for the comfort of its ride, handling and sports car performance. The 450 SLC is capable of achieving speeds of 135 mph. This fine Australian delivered example was sold new by York Motors to the Greek Embassy in Canberra for use by the Greek Ambassador to Australia, His Excellency, Mr. Alexander Vayenas. The car was on sold in 1984 remaining in Canberra until the present owner moved to Victoria in late 2014. The car comes with two complete maintenance log books from 1980 to 2004 having been serviced from new at York Motors, Swiss Motors and then Advanced Tech Automotive. The current owner advises that servicing was continued at Advance Tech Automotive in Canberra and more recently at German Star at Reservoir. No expense has been spared on the maintenance of the car and with just a handful of owners from new the car has been carefully maintained.
