This 1973 Volkswagen Super Beetle convertible is finished in Bright Orange exterior paint accented by a modest amount of chrome on each side and new bumpers. It underwent a cosmetic and mechanical restoration this past winter. The black interior is all new including the vinyl upholstery and the NOS steering wheel. The 1600cc 4-cylinder engine received a new carburetor and a tuneup along with a restoration of the engine compartment and is backed by a 4-speed manual transmission. The period-correct Mini-Lite wheels were restored the outer rims were polished the centers were painted black and the center cap insignias were replaced. The windshield was replaced a new headlight switch was installed along with a new brake switch and the front turn-signal bezels were replaced. The front storage compartment also received a complete restoration. Options for this 1973 Volkswagen Beetle convertible include a vinyl interior and radial tires.

This is a 6-passenger wagon with a large cargo area in the rear. The rear crank window works well as does the factory lift gate. Outstanding multi-color two-stage paint that has been color-sanded and buffed to a mirror finish including multi-hued stripes that wrap into the door jambs matched engine accessory touches and a touch of chrome and polish. This is backed up by the raw power of a professionally built 565ci engine from Championship Racing Engines LLC using a Dart block COMP roller cam 355 CNC ported aluminum heads and a 1050cfm Quick Fuel Dominator carburetor. The result was a dyno-proven 785hp with the engine driven less than 500 miles since its construction. A Turbo 350 automatic transmission custom-built to withstand the rigors of 1000hp was built by ATI fronted with a 3500-stall street converter with a reverse-pattern manual vale body and a reworked 9 Ford-design differential with hardened axles with 4.10 gears. Even the driveshaft has been created to live in the 1000hp environment. Suspension includes a 4-link rear with coilover shocks power front disc brakes and frame connectors tied to a custom roll cage.
