1965 Ford Mustang

Lot # 1 (Sale Order: 1 of 130)

1965 Ford Mustang Coupe Original example Only 74,124 miles covered Original 289 cid C Code V-8 engine Original Cruise-o-Matic automatic transmission An original 1965 Ford Mustang with just 74,124 miles covered since new, this very special example wears the original Wimbledon White paint with the contrasting optional black vinyl roof to perfectly complement the iconic, and original, Pony interior in red. A wonderful driver that starts immediately, then settles into a delightful idle, this is a true collectible given the outstanding originality and clear evidence of a life spent in careful custody. DRIVETRAIN: The original C Code 289 V-8 resides under the hood, featuring the stock 2-barrel carburetor and increased 9.3:1 compression ratio that allowed this base unit to produce 200 hp. The engine compartment is tidy and rust-free, showing no evidence of prior accident damage. The original Cruise-o-Matic automatic transmission remains, and is in good operating condition. CHASSIS: The frame is clean and straight with no visible rust or collision damage. ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Then engine compartment is clean with no rust and has zero evidence of accident damage. EXTERIOR: As shown in the photographs, minimal surface rust is visible, but the body panels are free from rot or substantive corrosion. As expected for such an original example, the bodywork displays a pleasing patina, with some dents, chips, scuffs and blemishes consistent with the automobile’s age. The chrome trim is straight and undamaged except for some minor blemishes in the plating. TRUNK COMPARTMENT: The trunk compartment is solid, clean and completely rust free. INTERIOR: The original Pony is in excellent condition, with the seating surfaces and bolsters free from rips or tears. The only blemish present is a small tear in the interior door handle on both driver and passenger sides. The dash is free from cracks and presents in excellent condition, while the headliner and carpets are in a similar carefully preserved state. The wood dash and gauges are in beautiful shape and the entire interior wears a wonderful patina that cannot be replicated at any price. The air conditioning unit works perfectly, as do the adjustable seats, making the entire cabin a comfortable place to drive and ride in. With so few originals left, this Mustang will almost certainly attract more attention than many fully restored examples, making it one to treasure. Auction Estimate: $15,000-17,000

1973 Lincoln Mark IV

Lot # 3 (Sale Order: 3 of 130)

1973 Lincoln Continental Mark IV Vehicle Identification Number 3Y89A911595 460cid V-8 3-speed C6 automatic transmission 4-wheel ‘Sure-track’ anti-lock brakes Matching numbers example Produced from the 1972 to 1976 model years, Lincoln’s Continental Mark IV served as the division’s flagship in the personal luxury coupe market. The 1973 version introduced distinctive styling elements that made it particularly attractive. One of the most powerful cars of the era, the Ford 385 Series engine produced 212 hp that placed it in the same performance class as the Mercedes-Benz 450 SLC and Cadillac Eldorado. Equipped with ‘Sure-track’ anti-lock brakes, it was one of the first cars in the United States to offer the important safety feature. The Motorcar Offered This one owner example has been lovingly preserved and maintained with only 114,008 miles on the odometer since it was purchased new. The dark metallic green paint still produces a nice sheen with the chrome and interior presenting in excellent condition. The hood is in need of slight attention, however, importantly, the vehicle is free of corrosion, thanks in part to the undercoating that was applied at the time of purchase, and there are no accidents in this chariot’s past. Consistent with the fine running condition of this example, normal maintenance has been carried out on a regular basis with a new brake master cylinder and transmission rear main seal installed this year. The original Owner’s Manual, Shop Manual and Tools are included with the sale. Estimate: $11,000 – 13,000

1980 Chevrolet C-30 Pickup Truck

Lot # 4 (Sale Order: 4 of 130)

1980 Chevrolet C-30 Cheyenne ‘Dually’ Pickup Vehicle Identification Number CCW34AB123522 472cid V-8 engine Factory air conditioning Power steering and brakes Duotone paint Silverado edition The third generation of Chevrolet’s workhorse pickup truck range would prove to be the longest produced variants in the company’s history. The 1980 models featured unique styling that foreshadowed the appearance of what was to follow with a flatter front grill and square headlights. The heavy-duty C30 boasted 12.5-inch disc brakes in front and 13-inch drums in the rear, which provided strong stopping power for the massive vehicle. With a capacity of 4000 pounds, the independent front suspension used coil springs, while the rear offered sturdy multi-leaf springs working in concert with a Salisbury axle. The Vehicle Offered This exceptional example of a heavy-duty ‘dually’ looks like a highly original representative of a true American icon. The interior is in remarkable condition and appears much as it did when new. A rear step bumper facilitates access to the cargo area and the duotone paint scheme of metallic bronze over cream is a wonderful nod to the era’s fashion. Under the hood, however, sits a period 472ci Cadillac V-8 engine for more power and reliable operation. It was extensively redesigned from the earlier 429ci variant for simpler maintenance and went about its business with fewer parts than before. With 375 hp and 525 pound-feet of torque, this is the perfect powerplant to propel this beautiful truck down the road. Estimate: $7,000 – 10,000

1964 Ford Thunderbird Convertible

Lot # 5 (Sale Order: 5 of 130)

1964 Ford Thunderbird Convertible Vehicle Identification Number 4Y85Z127543 390cid V-8 engine 3-speed Cruise-O-Matic transmission Long-term ownership Offered at no reserve Ford introduced fresh styling for the Thunderbird in 1964 that was crisper and more formal than ever before. All versions were powered by a 390ci V-8 engine that produced 300 bhp, which allowed the vehicle to accelerate from 0-60 mph in under 11 seconds. Power was transmitted through a Cruise-O-Matic 3-speed automatic transmission with front disc brakes available as an option. A true icon, this version of the Thunderbird featured prominently in several film classics, including Thelma and Louise, The Outsiders and Wild at Heart. With only 9,198 examples built during the inaugural year for the fourth-generation T-Bird, this is a true rarity that is destined to appreciate in the future. The Motorcar Offered This red convertible has been owned by the same family since the early 1990s and was used as often as the weather permitted. It was repainted while in their custody and a new convertible top was procured, but never installed. An excellent candidate for a full restoration or use as weathered weekend driver with some deferred maintenance, it features the original white interior and solid body panels. With some engine work completed only five years ago, this is a running and driveable example of one of the most desirable T-Birds built. Estimate: $5,000-7,000

1949 Dodge B1-B 5 Window Pickup Truck

Lot # 8 (Sale Order: 9 of 130)

1949 Dodge B1-B Pickup Truck Vehicle Identification Number 82102787 Desirable five-window cab 218cid I-6 engine 4-speed manual transmission The first postwar vehicle that Dodge manufactured was the B-Series pickup, which featured distinctive pilothouse styling with optional rear quarter windows. Power came from the venerable flathead inline six-cylinder engine that produced 95 hp. With interest in these attractive workhorses growing, this is a wonderful opportunity to acquire a well-preserved example at an affordable price. The Vehicle Offered This solid half-ton B-1B features the original engine and an uprated 4-speed transmission from a later variant, as well as the iconic five-window pilothouse treatment. It is a strong runner that benefits from a new wiring harness, upgraded fuse box and new brakes and lines. The only changes from the original specification are an upgraded window washer system, custom road wheels and a wood steering wheel. With very solid metal and attractive bronze paint this is a fine example that will provide no end of entertainment to the new owner. Estimate: $15,000-18,000

1988 Buick Reatta Vehicle Identification Number 164EC11C7B904330 Excellent example in original condition Only 77,000 miles from new 3.8-liter V-6 engine SELLING NO RESERVE The 1988 Buick Reatta was a low-volume transverse front engine, front-wheel drive, two-door, two-seater grand tourer/sports car manufactured and marketed by Buick as a coupe from 1988–1991. It featured the durable 3.8 liter V6 engine and is a shortened version of the GM E platform that underpinned the Riviera. The Reatta is Buick’s first two-seater and was manufactured in a highly specialized assembly program at the Reatta Craft Assembly in Lansing, MI. Assembly at the Reatta Craft Centre was performed at a series of stations each with a specialized team of workers, rather than on a conventional assembly line. After a team had completed their portion of the assembly, the car would be moved by robots to the next station. Paintwork was performed on site under subcontract to PPG Industries. In 1988, the Reatta featured a touchscreen computer interface, marketed as the Electronic Control Center (ECC), that included radio and climate control functions, date reminder, trip computer user-configurable overspeed alarm as well as diagnostic access to the vehicle’s electronic systems and sensors. This ECC was the first of it’s kind in any American-manufactured automobile. This example Buick is an excellent, original car that shows extremely well. The 6-digit odometer displays only 77,000 miles and all of the components work on the car, including the retractable headlights, sunroof and all facets of the Electronic Control Center. This car was acquired in the 1990’s and then parked in a garage in 2001. The owner passed away in 2017, leaving the car to his brother, who honored his memory by bringing this wonderful car back to life! The engine runs strong, the transmission shifts smooth and the car handles very well. The interior is in excellent condition and the driver and passenger 16-way power seats add to driving comfort. 1939 Chevrolet Master 85

Lot # 23 (Sale Order: 25 of 130)

1939 Chevrolet Master 85 An attractive fully restored example of the breed 206 cid I-6 engine 3-speed manual transmission Manufactured from 1933 to 1942, Chevrolet’s Master Series was an aspirational model for most customers. The Master 85 was the base model for 1939, which introduced new art deco styling that was evocative of the far more expensive Cadillac. The most important new feature was a coil spring and wishbone suspension, which replaced the troublesome knee-action layout used previously. Despite the affordable purchase price, the Model 85 retained many features from the previous De Luxe model and is valued today for its unmistakable 1930s appearance and impeccable ride quality. The Motorcar Offered This attractive example is the recipient of a complete restoration that has resulted in a car that drives as good as it looks. The 206 cid inline six-cylinder engine runs smoothly and propels the car nicely down the road. Larger rolling stock on custom wheels improve the handling and ride quality immeasurably, making this an outstanding oldie to drive to local shows and cruise-in events. Estimate: $23,000-25,000
