HarleyDavidson VRod

Lot # 201 (Sale Order: 1 of 159)

HarleyDavidson, often abbreviated to H.D. or Harley, was founded in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, during the first decade of the 20th century and was one of two major American motorcycle manufacturers to survive the Great Depression. The company today sells only heavyweight motorcycles with over 750cc engines, designed for cruising on highways Harleys, are noted for the tradition of heavy customisation that gave rise to the chopper style of motorcycle. The HarleyDavidson VRSC VTwin Racing Street Custom family of cruiser motorcycles was introduced in 2001 in a single model called the VRod. The VRod was developed by H.D. to compete against Japanese and American muscle bikes. The VRod made use of the Revolution engine, developed jointly with Porsche that, for the first time in Harley public production history, features overhead cams and liquid cooling. The VRod is visually distinct from other HarleyDavidson motorcycles and can be easily identified by the 60degree Vtwin engine and the radiator. Another distinct difference between the VRod and all other Harley production motorcycles is the location of the fuel tank, which is located underneath the seat, placing the rider on top of it, rather than the usual frontal placement. The tank in this case is simple dressing, hiding the frame. This highly collectable, solid wheel, 1130cc HarleyDavidson VRod can only be described as stunning in its classic aluminium and silver finish. A two owner bike from new, this incredibly low mileage motorcycle had only covered 88 miles when it had its first MoT. Today, the bike has covered a mere 701 miles, all of which have been fair weather miles and mostly ridden by the current vendor during his two years of ownership. He replaced the tyres upon purchase as a precautionary measure in 2016. This UK spec bike is in virtually showroom condition, it wants for nothing, rides perfectly and is barely run in. Supplied with a V5C registration document, full service history and an MoT test certificate valid until February 2019. The private plate J60 RVB is included in the sale. This is a rare opportunity to acquire such a low mileage, timewarp superb example of a VRod.

Ariel 350cc Red Hunter

Lot # 202 (Sale Order: 2 of 159)

By 1930, Ariels Val Pagedesigned singles had gained a rearmounted magneto and their distinctive timing cover, and the basic engine design, although frequently revised, would last well into the postwar era. The sports versions were christened Red Hunter and under Pages successor Edward Turner, developed into fast and stylish machines. In 1946 the Hunters became the first models to feature Ariels new telescopic front fork, and the following year could be ordered with the optional Anstey Link plunger rear suspension. In 1956 fullwidth alloy hubs were adopted across the range, and the Red Hunters continued in this form until production of Ariel fourstrokes ceased in 1959.Dating from the final year of production, this 350 Red Hunter appears to be largely original and has been used very little of late. Sitting proudly on its original Dunlop wheel rims and still sporting the original Smiths chronometric speedometer, this Ariel oozes charm and charisma. The vendor has a small but impressive collection of motorcycles and is now running out of space hence the reason why this handsome machine is offered for sale. Supplied with a registration document and a full year’s MoT test certificate, this Ariel Red Hunter is offered for sale without reserve.

HarleyDavidson Softail Breakout CVO

Lot # 204 (Sale Order: 4 of 159)

HarleyDavidson CVO for Custom Vehicle Operations motorcycles are a family of models created by HarleyDavidson for the factory custom market. For every model year since the programs inception in 1999, HarleyDavidson has chosen a small selection of its motorcycle models and created limitededition customizations of those platforms with largerdisplacement engines, more expensive paint designs, and additional accessories not found on the mainstream models. Although CVO models carry a higher manufacturers retail price than the models from which they are derived buyers are generally keen to purchase these limited edition motorcycles. This stunning Harley Davidson is a 2014 model although it was registered on 8th November 2016 to avoid complications regarding the Euro 4 bike regulations. The vendor has kept the motorcycle as part of his private collection and whilst he has started the bike occasionally it has not been ridden, hence the delivery mileage of four miles. Finished in the stunning colour combination of Molten Silver and Black Diamond with forged iron graphics. When launched there was an 18 month waiting list for these highly desirable machines, this is thought to be the only one available with delivery mileage. With an 1800cc engine and enough chrome to keep even the most enthusiastic owner busy, this Softail Breakout CVO is delightfully handsome and is a perfect motorcycle for the serious collector.

Honda Z50A K1 Short Tail Monkey Bike

Lot # 206 (Sale Order: 6 of 159)

The Monkey bike is the name given by Honda to one of their small, low powered motorcycles introduced in the 1960s. The first Honda Monkey was the 1961 Z100 with later Monkeys designated Z50. These vehicles all had a 4.5hp, 49cc single horizontal cylinder fourstroke engine and a seat height of less than 22 inches. The very first Monkey bikes did not have any suspension but this was soon added to the front forks. The Honda Z50A was the second generation Z50 Series of mini bikes. The Z50M was available in Europe and Japan in 1968, however the Z50AKO ‘Hard Tail’, sometimes referred to as the ‘High Bar’ or the ‘Slantguard’, was the first of the Z50 series to be released to the American market. The Z50A was considered to be a significant leap in technology in comparison to other mini bikes on the market at the time, partly because of its efficient 49cc engine with semiautomatic transmission. Street legal lighting and lowered bars were added on the 196970 K1 ‘Short Tail’ and the 197071 K2 ‘Long Tail’.This extremely rare example of the eponymous Monkey Bike has had some 4,000 worth of restoration work done in recent years. The bike is presented in great condition throughout and has remained in standard road trim and completely unmodified condition. It is offered with a dating certificate from the Vintage Japanese Motorcycle Club and boasts the round tank badges. These cheeky runabouts are great fun, but are becoming difficult to find and therefore a very collectable item.

Studebaker Special Six Model EQ Sedan

Lot # 207 (Sale Order: 7 of 159)

By 1917, the Studebaker management had decided it was time to break completely from the old designs and to build a completely new line of motor cars which would satisfy a broad range of demand worldwide. In May, after suitable reorganisation under the leadership of Fred Zeder work was started on three new models the Light Four, Light Six and the Big Six. In 1920, the Light Six was rebranded the Special Six. Although the Special Six was always overshadowed by its big brother, the Big Six, it was every bit well engineered and constructed. Except for the parts required for the larger bore of the Big Six virtually all the engine parts, accessories and chassis components are identical on both cars. A major engine and gearbox redesign at the end of 1924 for EQ model resulted in the ultimate Special Six engine, the compression ratio was increased from 4.1 to 4.45 with the result that the developed horsepower of the engine was increased to 65HP. Approximately 259,000 Special Sixes were built from 1918 to midyear 1926.This 1925 Studebaker Special Six EQ model has been in storage for decades and is in good original condition. The car was imported to the UK in 2016 from the USA with a 1955 number plate tag after being on display at the Imperial Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. Purchased by a company specialising in renting vehicles for film and TV productions, the car has been recommissioned, this includes the petrol tank cleaned and coated, new HT leads and new exhaust system fitted it runs and drives. This Special Six was used in the remake of the film ‘Murder on the Orient Express’ released in November 2017, staring a long list of Alist actors including Kenneth Branagh, Penelope Cruz, Judi Dench and Johnny Depp. Finished in black with the original beige mohair interior, this Studebaker is supplied with UK registration, dating certificate and a copy of the Missouri, USA registration document. This is a good solid car that could have a partial restoration to retain the original patina and be used or, a very good basis for a complete restoration to return this elegant car to its original showroom condition.

Fiat 500L Abarth Recreation

Lot # 209 (Sale Order: 9 of 159)

The Fiat 500 surely needs little introduction. Suffice to say that this compact car became ripe for tuning with Abarth leading the way in converting them into successful fast road and racing cars of the period. With genuine Abarth models now seeing some extraordinary prices, it is no surprise that many have been converted to replicate these versions of the Fiat 500.This lovely Fiat 500 L was discovered in Parma, Northern Italy in early 2017 and imported into the UK later in October. The Fiat was found to be in remarkable condition easily confirmed by an overall inspection of the coachwork and, in particular, we encourage you to take a look at the undersides whose condition reflects that of the topsides. Mechanically, the car drives very well, the 499cc engine mated to an allsynchromesh 4speed gearbox, feeling more powerful than a standard car. The brakes have been overhauled and new shock absorbers fitted all around. Further works include modification to an Abarth Recreation which involved over 1,500 of specialist parts being used and included Jaeger instruments, wheels, exhaust, rocker cam cover, fuel tank, sump, grill, open engine cover modification and mirrors. The original odometer reads 65652km however, with the fitment of the new Jaeger odometer, the reading is now zero miles. This Fiat 500 will arrive at the sale with an MoT test certificate valid until November 2018 and a UK registration. Finished in the attractive combination of Fiat white with contrasting red interior, this is an exquisite example that has been very well executed a fact that the true enthusiast will surely not miss.

Aston Martin DB7

Lot # 210 (Sale Order: 10 of 159)

Introduced to the public in 1993, the handsome new DB7 was Aston Martins first six cylinder model since the production of the DB6 Mk2 had finished in 1971. Styled by Ian Callum, its lines were evocative of earlier Aston Martin models and elements of the DB456 could be seen in its design. This was arguably one of the nicest looking cars ever produced by Aston Martin. The DB7 was well received and attracted new customers worldwide with its traditional layout of the curvaceous two door coupe body and powerful six cylinder engine. Power was supplied by an all alloy double overhead camshaft supercharged 24 valve inline six cylinder engine, which produced 335 bhp at 5750rpm. The supercharger was supplied by Eaton who also provided blowers for the mighty eight cylinder Vantage that was produced at Newport Pagnell at the same time as the DB7 at Bloxham. The DB7 is regarded by many as the purist modern Aston Martin and will undoubtedly be a collectable car for years to come, it is equally at home in the city or out on the open road. This example, originally metallic blue, is now presented in Pearlescent White with cream leather interior and blue piping. This particular car also comes with the popular automatic transmission and is striking in its present colour scheme. Supplied originally by HWM in WaltononThames, the service book has 14 stamps, the last significant service was carried out in August 2011 at 69,946 miles she did though have an oil service in November 2015. The car is offered with a V5C registration document and current Mot test certificate valid until October this year. Also accompanying the car is some service history and its Aston Martin car cover.

Lot # 211 (Sale Order: 11 of 159)

The M Coupe, manufactured from 1998 until 2002, was developed under the leadership of engineer Burkhard Goschel with the intention of adding increased torsional and structural rigidity to the Z3 roadster’s chassis. The development team had a hard time convincing the board of directors to approve the model for production, but it was eventually given the green light as long as it remained costeffective to produce. When the director of design at BMW first saw the coupe version of the Z3, there was a long silence, not least because this was mockedup by a handful of dedicated designers during evenings and weekends. Like the GT6 and MG BGT, two acknowledged influences, this wasnt just a convertible with a hardtop. The entire chassis was redesigned, the roof lengthened, more power added obviously and finer, under the skin details, like cooling fins on the differential. The engine is the same 3.2 litre unit from an M3, offering an almost absurd amount of horsepower per unit weight. With over 6,000 miles of testing at the Nurburgring, you can be sure this is well tested and up to the task of shifting you and a friend up to a limited 155mph and back down again equally quickly, all within the confines of BMWs legendary build quality. This muscular sports car presents well in Imola Red with a red and black leather interior and was originally registered on 1st March 2000 covering 116,000 miles from new. This Z3 M Coupe is in excellent order throughout the vendor has kept her in a garage and well maintained throughout his stewardship. Supplied with a V5C registration document together with a current MoT test certificate valid until 26th August 2018, this highly desirable BMW is very appealing to the discerning collector.

MercedesBenz 2.516 Evolution I

Lot # 212 (Sale Order: 12 of 159)

In 1983, Mercedes introduced the Cosworth 2.316 into their range and the new 16valve cars were substantially different from the other 190 models. The body kit reduced the drag coefficient and the steering wheel was smaller than that on other 190s, whilst the fuel tank was enlarged from 55 to 70 litres. The Getrag 5speed manual gearbox was unique to the 16valve and featured a dogleg first gear. An enlarged 2.5litre engine replaced the 2.3 in 1988 and offered doublerow timing chains to fix the unreliable single chains on the early 2.3s. The power output was up by 17bhp with a slight increase in torque. It is debated whether the 2.5 engine was developed and built by MercedesBenz or by Cosworth. Mercedes were not keen to broadcast the fact that their most sporting saloon car had an engine developed by a British company. The suspension on the 16valve models is very different from the standard 190 and, as well as being lower and stiffer, it has larger antiroll bars, harder bushes and hydraulic selflevelling suspension on the rear, allowing the rear rideheight to remain constant even when the car is fully loaded. This particular example is the Evolution 1 model and is presented in metallic black with black leather interior. It’s bodykit has been upgraded with the Evolution II kit being fitted, giving it a somewhat brutish appearance, much admired by many around the globe and instantly recognisable. These are highly sought after models with examples of the Evolution II fetching in the region of 200,000. A great opportunity to acquire a part of MercedesBenz and Cosworth history which turns heads today just as it did in 1989. The car also comes with a V5 document and an MoT certificate which expires in April 2018.

Renault Clio Sport V6

Lot # 213 (Sale Order: 13 of 159)

Renault Sport have been responsible for many, frankly bonkers creations, all of which capture the imagination and make any redblooded driving enthusiast immediately sit up and take notice. Perhaps the most outlandish project came in 2001, when Renault decided to put a hefty V6 power unit into their small economical runabout... the Clio. Naturally it did not fit under the bonnet, so rather than scrap the idea for a smaller engine and perhaps use turbochargers or superchargers, in a stroke of genius it was decided to place the engine behind the front seats thus creating a mid engine car dubbed the Worlds smallest supercar. The term was justifiable while its engine might have had humble origins, dropping it in the Clio body gave it staggering performance figures. Tuned to 227bhp and capable of accelerating from 060 in just 6.2 seconds with a top speed of 146mph, the Clio V6 Sport was, in many ways, the spiritual successor to the wild rally based midengine Renault Five Turbo of the 1980s. Certainly not a car for the faint hearted, it was built in limited numbers and mainly driven by only the true enthusiasts of the day. This Renault Clio V6, offered in silver with blue Alcantara interior sports seats is a true example of a modern classic. The car is presented in great condition with ten service stamps, the most recent in May 2016 at 59,800 miles and also has a tracker installed. This Clio has been well maintained and, essentially, wrapped up in cotton wool by previous owners appreciating the rising values of such cars. The history file accompanying this car includes all handbooks, the original service booklet and an MoT test certificate valid until August 2018. With honest examples becoming hard to source, this particular car looks to be very good value indeed.

*REGRETFULLY WITHDRAWN* MercedesBenz 560 SL

Lot # 215 (Sale Order: 15 of 159)

DUE TO CIRCUMSTANCES BEYOND OUR CONTROL, THIS LOT HAS BEEN WITHDRAWN FROM THE AUCTION.Launched in late 1985, the 560 SL convertiblecoupe was the latest in MercedesBenzs long and much loved line of luxury sports cars that could trace its lineage back to the 230 SL of 1963. In the 560 SLs case its Type 107 bodyshell had debuted on the 350 SL introduced in 1970 and this timeless style would continue in production for another five years. The 560 SL was powered by a 5.5litre, overheadcamshaft V8 engine producing 227bhp, an output good enough for a top speed of 220kmh with 100kmh reachable in around 8 seconds. There were improvements to the running gear in the form of antidiveantisquat rear suspension, a limitedslip differential and revised steering geometry. Other noteworthy features incorporated as standard in this classleading automobile included leather upholstery, antilock braking, antitheft alarm system, stereo radiocassette, leather trimmed steering wheelshift lever, and an improved climate control system. This first year of production 1986 560 SL was picked up new from the MercedesBenz Sindelfingen plant by its proud new owner who drove it straight from the factory to the docks in Holland to be shipped along with her belongings to Canada. It remained there with her until she moved back to Holland and then onto the UK, both times the car coming along with her. This low mileage, 58,119km 36,000 mile, range topping 560 SL is supplied with a comprehensive service history including its original service log book and factory hardtop. Having just benefited from a light cosmetic restoration, supplied with a V5C registration document and current MoT test certificate valid until February 2019, this 560 SL represents a unique opportunity to own a low mileage, one owner example of these increasingly sought after luxury roadsters.

Jaguar Mk. II Saloon 2.4 litre

Lot # 216 (Sale Order: 16 of 159)

Synonymous with the swinging ‘60’s and the hit TV series, Inspector Morse, the Jaguar Mk.II saloon has been used as a vehicle to transport everyone from dignitaries and politicians to bank robbers and the criminal select. Desirable due to being a wellbalanced saloon car with space for four adults and a good size boot, it also boasted engine options including the mighty Jaguar 3.8 litre power unit small wonder it became popular as a getaway vehicle. When released, traditional Jaguar buyers had no need to feel alienated by the new offering from Coventry as the interior was up to their usual standards with leather and walnut being the order of the day. With 112bhp available, the 2.4 was not overly burdened with pace so, importantly, coupled to a manual gearbox with overdrive it would be the more frugal of the range but give the driver the ability to utilise the full range of the 2.4 engine.Presented in the splendid colour combination of Westminster Blue with deep red trim, this lovely Mk.II has been owned by our vendor and Jaguar Enthusiast member for some 19 years having purchased the car in 1999 from a Mr Smith who had owned the car for the previous decade. After deciding to sympathetically restore the car, between 1999 and 2002 this Mk.II received a full retrim and interior restoration together with a complete brake overhaul before the mechanicals were overhauled a year later with the engine and gearbox removed by Motafix of Bushey, Herts. The exact date the body work was restored is unknown but it presents very well today with the chrome work and paint in keeping with an elegant but older restoration. Within the history file numerous receipts and MoT certificates can be found alongside a current MoT test certificate valid until January 2019.Smartly presented and performing well, this very attractively priced Mk.II Saloon with the crucial manual gearbox and optional overdrive is a must for the budding Jaguar enthusiast or those looking for a great looking and practical classic car. Please note the cherished registration number will be retained by the vendor and new age related number will be issued by the DVLA

MercedesBenz 280 SE

Lot # 217 (Sale Order: 17 of 159)

The first Sclass MercedesBenz arrived in 1968 in the form of the 280 S and 280 SE, which were large comfortable sports saloons offering powerful touring capabilities and luxurious interiors with space to seat five occupants. Known as the W108109 models, they were constructed on 108 wheelbase and the new SClass Saloons were much heavier than earlier models. The styling was updated using a thoroughly modern design featuring the attractive stacked layout of the headlights which was popular during the period. Although the 280 was usually powered by a 2.8 litre straight six engine MercedesBenz, rather confusingly, added a V8 engined 280 SE to the model range. The 280 SE 3.5 had a 3.5 litre, V8 engine and came with both automatic and manual transmission and power steering. These saloons were well equipped and extremely powerful. The 280 SE 3.5 reached a topspeed of 125mph and offered effortless high speed cruising mated with supple ride comfort. Between 1971 and 1972, MercedesBenz produced 11,309 examples and they have always been popular with collectors and enthusiasts alike. This twoowner matching numbers car has been the subject of a very recent article in the March 2017 edition of Mercedes Enthusiast Club magazine. Presented in Mercedes light green with mid tan leatherette, this genuine righthand drive example was built under licence in South Africa by MercedesBenz and has only covered 19,106 miles. The car benefits from a very rare manual fourspeed gearbox and power steering, it has never been restored and still shows all the original paint work and interior. When new, South African examples were commonly fitted with stone shields to protect various mechanical parts under the vehicle, i.e. fuel tank, fuel pump, propshaft, gearbox and engine, and these are still in place. The car comes complete with an extensive history file including the MercedesBenz service book, dealer network book, protection booklet, mileage book and the original spare key with the unused grey fob, all of this is contained within the original tan plastic wallet. The vendor advises that the car has been dry stored since being imported in 1999 and was UK registered in 2016. This example has been subject to recent recommissioning that included four new tyres, a new exhaust and all the fluids replaced. A new MoT test certificate with no advisories was obtained and the vendor describes it as driving very well. This is a truly wonderful classic MercedesBenz offering practicality and elegance.

MercedesBenz 220 SE Coupé

Lot # 218 (Sale Order: 18 of 159)

The MercedesBenz W111 series was produced from 1959 to 1968 and was one of Mercedes toprange vehicles. They were elegant and well built vehicles aimed at wealthy or successful individuals who appreciate a finer finish to their motorcars. In 1957 the design began for the twodoor Pontons. Most of the chassis and drive train were to be unified with the saloon and therefore the emphasis was on exterior styling. Some of the prototypes show that MercedesBenz attempted to give the twodoor car a front styling similar to the Pagoda Roadster, whilst the rear bodywork was officially still called a fintail although the rear end design had no chrome fin highlights. Production began in late 1960 and the Coupe was premiered in Stuttgart for the 75th anniversary of the opening of MercedesBenz Museum. The 220 SE Coupe variant was met with instant success and MercedesBenz went on to produce 14,173 examples. This highly collectable example presents a combination that is most striking MercedesBenz black with a contrasting blood red leather interior. The condition of both can safely be described as extremely good throughout. This is because this example underwent a full restoration in 2016 whilst with its previous Dutch owner. The restoration included a complete strip down interior out to bare metal and a full repaint. All the seating was reupholstered and then reconstructed in the correct MercedesBenz fashion. The wooden dash and door cappings were all beautifully fitted and are now as new. In 2017 this Pillarless Coupe was given to renowned MercedesBenz specialists, SS Motors of Weybridge to ensure that the engine is set up beautifully. This W111 carries one of the most elegant profiles of all postwar MercedesBenz and is offered with a UK registration document. This car is reported to drive very well and has the overall appearance of a car that has had much care and attention lavished upon it.

Alfa Romeo GTV TwinSpark 2.0 litre

Lot # 219 (Sale Order: 19 of 159)

The Alfa Romeo Gran Turismo Veloce GTV designed by Enrico Fumia at Pininfarina was planned to reestablish the sporty coupe tradition of Alfa Romeo for the 1990s. After the Fiat CEO accepted the design, Alfa Romeo Centro Stile was responsible for the completion of the detail work and also for the design of the interiors as Pininfarinas proposal was not accepted. A typical Italian design, lowslung, wedgeshaped with a low nose and high kicked up tail or Kamm tail gave improved aerodynamics and, at its launch, many journalists commented that Alfa had improved the overall build quality considerably and that it came very close to equalling its German rivals. The GTV was indeed favourably received by the written press, winning awards such as Autocar Magazines 1995 Car of the Year, Car Magazines Best Designed Car.Originally supplied by Mangoletsi Alfa Romeo in Knutsford on 2nd March 1999, the current registered keeper purchased the car eight days later and has owned her ever since. Presenting in delightful condition, it is clear this Alfa Romeo has been very well cared for and exceptionally well maintained, this detailed history folder contains receipts for everything that has been spent on her. Finished in metallic green with black interior, this low mileage example is in good order throughout. Supplied with a V5C registration document and a current MoT test certificate valid until 18th June 201, this GTV TwinSpark is offered for sale without reserve and could well prove to be a fine purchase.

Rover Mini SPi Cooper Supercharged

Lot # 220 (Sale Order: 20 of 159)

The Mini was manufactured by the British Motor Corporation and its successors from 1959 until 2000. The original Mini was considered a British icon of the 1960’s having influenced a generation of car makers. In 1999, the Mini was voted the second most influential car of the 20th century behind the Ford Model T and thus rather than ending production, it continued evolving and in 1988, the Austin Mini became the Rover Mini. The Mini is synonymous with special editions, sporty upgrades and modifications, the broad appeal meant Minis can be found in various guises from factory John Cooper works to bespoke builds. This 1995 Rover Mini started life innocently enough as a standard Cooper, but well known Mini owner and enthusiast George Harris was on the lookout for a new project. He had recently created a wellknown and widely publicised twin Hayabusa engine powered Mini in 2015. He purchased the car from a fellow Mini Club member and his initial plans were to simply back date the more modern Rover Mini, these plans soon went out the window when his friend purchased a Singer built Porsche and George fell in love with it. George did not have the funds for a Singer but he was inspired to construct his Mini with a similar philosophy, in his own words a classic hotrod, 911 inspired Mini. As a 60s period racer was the intended style, George fitted Mk. I rear lights and cut the lip off the bonnet of a Mk. I grille, however, much of the work was outsourced to OSC Bodyworks in Chessington, they fitted the Heritage panels. The Mini was finished in flame red with an Old English White roof. Once painted, the shell was sent to Wood and Pickett for subframes and a new running gear, which included Cooper S front disc assembly that allowed for the race style Rose Petal wheels with HiLos and Gaz dampers. The original 1275 SPi engine is far from standard it was bored out to 1293cc and fully rebuilt, including a supercharger kit from VmaxScart and Webber carburettor, this culminated in an estimated power output in the region of 140bhp, which looks fantastic and sounds amazing. The interior is where the 911 had the clearest influence on George Cobra GT bucket seats were installed with matching rear trim and the dash wrapped in the same material. The Race Tech harnesses were another nod to the Singer Porsche, as was the six point roll cage. There were numerous other enhancements and they are detailed in Mini Magazine, August 2017, a copy of this can be found in the cars history file. This is a fully bespoke and unique Mini. The engine is still being run in and as such the full potential is yet to be realised, but it will be a lot of fun finding out the limits of this little Cooper. Accompanying this Mini is a new MoT test certificate and a good history file, including invoices and receipts. You would be hard pushed to find something as well built, entertaining and at such an attractive estimate as this little Mini.

MercedesBenz CL 600

Lot # 221 (Sale Order: 21 of 159)

The CL Class is the flagship of the MercedesBenz car range. It continued to follow the same development cycle as the SClass, though riding on a shorter wheelbase and offered with only the higheroutput powertrains. It was the first Mercedes to feature Active Body Control, BiXenon headlights and, on the early V12 models such as this one, it employed Active Cylinder Control. This shut down one bank of cylinders under light engine loads enabling it to achieve better fuel economy than the V8 CL500. Not bad for a car with a six litre V12 developing 367bhp and yielding a Soyuzlaunching 060mph time of 5.9 seconds. It is as a Grand Tourer that this model is primarily designed for though. With more rear seat space than many executive Saloons, a huge boot and a truly cosseting driving environment, the CL is one of the most soothing cars you could hope to take on a long trip. The performance is remarkable and the turbinesmooth V12 is, frankly, epic.Presented in the beautiful colour combination of light metallic blue with silver grey leather upholstery, this example was originally registered on the 16th June 2000 at a list price of 91,120. The invoices included within the extensive history file of this three owner example illustrate a continued maintenance schedule totalling over 100,000. Also accompanying the car is the original owners pack and an Mot test certificate valid until January 2019.The vendor informs us that this car is impeccable and personally describes it as a 1010 example, having performed most of its miles on the motorways and Aroads. The alloy wheels are in good order and the exterior paintwork is excellent. MercedesBenz really do make excellent motorcars and with the V12 power plant and pillarless design, this example is a clear favourite with Coupe fans and considered a desirable collectors car.

Pontiac Firebird SE

Lot # 222 (Sale Order: 22 of 159)

The Firebird was built by the Pontiac division of General Motors between 1967 and 2002. Introduced in the same year as its platformsharing cousin the Chevrolet Camaro, the Firebird was seen as a long term competitor to the successful Ford Mustang. The fourth generation Firebird amplified the aerodynamic styling initiated by the previous generation while the floorpan remained largely the same, ninety percent of the Firebirds parts were all new. Major improvements included standard dual airbags, fourwheel antilock brakes, 16 inch wheels, rackandpinion power steering and several nonrusting composite body panels. Throughout its fourth generation, trim levels included V6powered Firebird, and V8powered Formula and Trans Am.This unique Pontiac Firebird Exhibition S.E. Special Edition 3.4 litre, V6 was built at the St. Therese, Oshawa, Canada production plant on 1st February 1995 and was exported to the UK on 26th September 1995 to the Technology Centre of Pilkington PLC, Lancashire with a total cost of 16,892.35. Pilkington Glass manufactured the glass for GM cars and this display Pontiac was to showcase its EZ Kool solar control glass at their Technology Centre glass which had been introduced at the GM Ohio plant for the 1990 Corvette ZR1 and which radically reduces UV filtration.Displayed on a ramp at Pilkington for 12 years, the Firebird was sold in 2009 to a motor dealer in Sheffield with just 34 kilometres on the odometer. In 2013 our vendor purchased the car and duly registered it for UK roads. In our vendor’s tenure he has covered a mere 10,000 miles and as such the car has only ever required minor services. Unsurprisingly, this rare manual example was well specd for its show purpose and features air conditioning, ABS, electric seatswindows and mirrors, cruise control, and both driver and passenger airbags.Accompanying this Firebird is an MoT test certificate until January 2019, original owners manual, the original EZ Kool Ohio show plates from its time on the show stand, and a substantial history file which includes two glossy photos showing the car on its ramp in the Pilkington Technology Centre. A fantastic low mileage example of a car, still in original condition, with an interesting history that will appeal to both collectors and enthusiasts and anyone looking for an enjoyable driving experience.

Ford Mk. II Zephyr 6 Convertible

Lot # 223 (Sale Order: 23 of 159)

The Zephyr was first displayed at the Earls Court Motor Show in 1950. The Mk. I Zephyr and Zodiac were the first British cars to use the MacPherson strut independent front suspension in mass production. The Mk. II Zephyr and Zodiacs had shared the same body as the new Zodiac and Zephyrs launched in 1962, but shared very few body panels thereafter. The Mk. II range was much more popular. A useful modernisation of the original car, the Mk. II added fins and chrome to the equation as well as more interior room. Fords advertising referred to them as the ‘Three Graces’, implying a feminine and graceful nature. There is no doubt that the performance of the Zephyr and the Zodiac Series II models was restricted by the rudimentary exhaust system, but with a wellknown, Raymond Mays complete engine conversion, it boosted their performance figures. Autocar Magazine recorded a standing quarter mile of 17.6s in 1957. As well as a 3speed manual gearbox, there was an optional overdrive and from 1956 a Borg Warner DG automatic transmission. At first, drum brakes were fitted all round but front discs became optional in 1960 and standard from mid 1961. The twodoor convertible version was offered with poweroperated hood, however because of the structural weaknesses inherent in the construction of convertibles, few convertibles are known to have survived to this day. A convertible with overdrive was tested by The Motor magazine in 1961 it had a top speed of 88.3 mph and could accelerate from 060 mph in 17.0 seconds. The test car list price was 1,193.This delightful Zephyr 6 Convertible is in very good condition and is offered in Caribbean Turquoise over Dover White with matching trim. The car was restored in 2005 according to invoices contained within the history file. This car and a sister car were used by ZZ Cars for weddings and events throughout the 2000s before being sold to a Ford enthusiast in 2014. This is 3speed manual example with optional overdrive also boasts a continental kit this can be seen at the rear of the car, giving the Zephyr that iconic American look that was so sought after throughout the 1960s. More recently, the car has been garaged and cared for by the vendor and in 2016, he had the gearbox rebuilt. The manually operated roof is in good order and complements the fabulous look of the car. With a current mileage of 74,572 miles from new, it is offered for sale with an MoT test certificate valid until August 2018. The Zephyr was an icon of British motoring at the time and they are still widely recognised as a highly sought after classic marque.

Saab 9000 CDE Turbo

Lot # 224 (Sale Order: 24 of 159)

The Saab 9000 is an executive car that was produced by the Swedish company from 1984 to 1998. Representing the companys foray into the executive car scene, it was developed as a result of the successes of the turbocharged 99 and 900 models. The 9000 remained in production until it was replaced by the Saab 95 in late 1997. Saab designed the 9000 as part of the Type Four platform in conjunction with the Italian automaker Fiat who retailed similar derivative versions as the more basic Fiat Croma, the luxury themed Lancia Thema, and the sportsoriented Alfa Romeo 164. The front of the Saab is radically different from the Italian siblings due to the much improved crash protection. This Saab has had only three former keepers and has covered 107,000 in 24 years on the road. A full and extremely comprehensive service history accompanies this 9000 Turbo it is important that such a vehicle is well maintained. Benefitting from a good specification including air conditioning, electric seats and manual transmission, this Saab is thought to be one of only three surviving manual transmission examples remaining. Supplied with a V5C registration document and a current MoT test certificate valid until 4th February 2019, we are advised M236 SSF drives with no known faults. With Saab no longer manufacturing vehicles, good examples such as this are becoming highly desirable. Offered for sale without reserve.
