dating: second quarter of the 19th Century, provenance: Spain, Smooth, two-stage, 17 mm cal. barrels of fine damask, the first part octagonal and marked with the golden inscription "à Espiral por Arana en Eibar 1845" between floral motifs; the girdle decorated with a band chiselled with floral motifs on gilt ground, with a frame featuring notched rings; moulded nozzle framed en suite; the base and the tangs decorated en suite with the broad sight; backward spring locks finely engraved with foliage on gilt ground, the hammers chiselled as lion on a small dragon, engraved and partially pierced; briarwood, three-quarter stocks sculpted with floral and geometrical motifs, steel mounts decorated en suite; triggers featuring finishing, butt-plates with ring. Horn ramrods with metallic tip and cartridge extractor. The barrel protective cap covered with bone. For Arana see "Der Neue Stöckel", Vol. I, page 27., , dimensions: length 34 cm.
