NOTE: Even the rowels are engraved! Spurs are mounted with a fancy pair of spotted two-piece straps, marked "Buddie Foster-Maker" with hand engraved "Adamson" marked buckles. Accompanying these Spurs is a copper and silver overlay engraved matching Bit with diamond, heart and arrow on cheek piece. Documented group of Framed Items with Letter, used by Marshal David Adams of the Indian Territory. These Items include Marshal Adams Badge, Handcuffs, Come Along and Iron Knuckles. The Revolver mentioned in this letter, a .44 caliber SA Revolver, SN 60025 is no longer a part of this group. Stated in a framed letter, "These items were acquired by my father Dr. C.L. Oglesbee, over 40 years ago from the family of Marshal Adams." Dr. Oglesbee passed in 1990, he was an avid gun collector and historian who had his practice in the city of Muskogee, OK. from 1944 to 1986. Signed by his son Thomas A. Oglesbee. Also included is another framed letter dated 9/17/1897, Muskogee Indian Territory from E.C. Browder stating that he is voluntarily of his own free will accompanying Marshall Dave Adams or Indian Police John West from the Northern District (Oklahoma) to the State of Texas. Truly Museum Quality Rare Laminated Rosewood double chair back highly carved Settee attributed to early New York Cabinet Maker, Charles Baudouine (1808-1895). Born in New York of Huguenot ancestry, Baudouine was first listed as a cabinetmaker in the New York City Directory of 1829-30, working at 508 Pearl St. Baudouine was considered one of the most talented cabinet makers to have worked in the New York post Duncan Phyfe era. An elaborate carver of Rococo Revival style to the likeness of Belter & Meeks cabinet makers. His multi-storied cabinet shop is located at 1181 Broadway, Manhattan, New York City. His shop closed around 1856, four years prior to the Civil War. Pierce carved Rosewood, double chair back Settee with solid Rosewood backs and what is possibly its original fabric. Settee measures 81" L x 46" T to top of chair backs x 41" T at center. Pierce carved arms and floral carving across the front. The frame of this settee is strong and solid. Originally sat in the Texas home of the late Mrs. Patricia C. Isom for more than 50 years and at one time was on display during the "Antique Roadshow" at the Dallas, Texas Convention Center, June 28, 2008. According to a letter of Provenance from the daughter of Mrs. Isom, experts on Victorian Furniture Brian Witherell, Greg Knowles and Larry Jackson were all of the opinion this Settee was made by Charles Baudouine.

In pristine condition with hand carved gallery crest. When opened it displays many cubby hole areas and many pull out drawers and beautiful Burl Walnut pull out writing table. When closed Desk measures 28" D x 42" W x 67" T. When opened at a 98 degree angle it is 58" W. N.B. Joseph Moore was the General Manager of the Wooten Manufacturing Co., in 1876, but by 1878 he had patented his own cabinet desk in Indianapolis, Ind. and began working in competition with Wooten. These desks were manufactured with either a brass gallery top or a carved wooden gallery top, this having the wooden gallery and the most desirable. Gallery crest is designed to lift off for easy handling.

This Rifle, SN 2386, is accompanied by outstanding provenance and possibilities compiled by noted author, researcher and historian R. L. Wilson. Chaps are in totally untouched condition with the initials "J.B." on front of right belt with the number "16" on the left belt, which would be his performer number. Chaps have a single outside pocket with a hand painted buffalo. Lower portion has the stars and stripes with the name "Johnny Baker." Outside borders are dressed with latigo strings and leather buttons. NOTE: Attached to the inside of right chap is a paper label that reads "Property of J. The walnut stocks appear to have been lightly sanded but are otherwise in good condition with minor bumps and dings. The wood to metal fit is excellent. The caliber marking on the barrel slightly stamped. All other markings are clear and sharp. The action functions properly and the bore is very good. There is a nice amount of thinning blue on the barrel and tube with more in protected areas. There is light scattered corrosion on the barrel. The case color frame, hammer, lever and butt plate have turned mostly dark. The top of the bolt retains bright blue finish.

The caliber marking on the barrel have ping marks covering the WCF. All other markings are clear and sharp. The action functions properly and the bore is fair. There is a nice amount of thinning blue on the barrel and tube with more in protected areas. There is light scattered corrosion on the barrel. The case color frame, hammer, lever and butt plate have turned mostly dark. The top of the bolt retains bright blue finish.

Petmecky, Austin, Texas with factory letter that states SN 75261, .45 COLT caliber, barrel length 5 1/2", finish nickel, type of stocks not listed, shipped to J.C. Petmecky, Austin, Tx., date of shipment August 1, 1891, number of guns in shipment-6. Revolver has one-line barrel address, all matching numbers, strong action, good bore. Retains much of the original finish with some flaking, most finish loss on cylinder. Nice pair of vintage checkered grips. Note stating it was once owned by Frank Fox a working cowboy on a ranch in Rylie, Tx. during the 1890s. Fox was struck and killed by lightning while riding the ranch. Any Texas shipped gun is very desirable, more especially one shipped to J.C. Petmecky. Factory letter is accompanied by a letter by Mrs. John Green of Shamrock, Tx. Mrs. Green states he was an uncle on "my" mothers side of the family, he was born in Switzerland, came to the U.S. looking for work and became a cowboy. Several very interesting things Mrs. Green states in her letter.

This display is from the estate of the late Sam Pyland Sr. who stored the display for many years prior to his death in 1997. The display measures approximately 7 feet high, 4 feet wide and 3 feet deep and includes: a Hanson Texas Cotton Scale, an additional large cotton scale with weights, cotton pulleys, cotton bales, cotton picking sack and vintage water jug. In addition, the display includes a scarce block and tackle used at the early Haslet, Texas Gin to hoist cotton bales to the scales for weight. Its documentation states that â€œin our years of searching this is the first complete unit we have found that is made of wood blocksâ€. Antique Sharps & Hankins Model 1862 Rifle, SN 9248, Navy Model Carbine. This is a .52 caliber breech loading rifle manufactured circa 1862-1865, 24" barrel. These carbines had a leather covering on the barrel to help prevent rust from the sea water while serving duty aboard ships. The leather covering has cracking, crazing with areas missing mostly around the breech end of the barrel. The action functions properly and the bore is very good. There are light visible case colors on the frame. The factory applied markings are clear. The butt stock has good fit to the metal but may be a replacement due to a patch box inlaid into the right side, a non-standard butt plate and the name â€œJ. PAULUSâ€ inlaid in metal letters on the left side.

This is a very scarce configuration of a special order rifle that is accompanied by a Colt Archive Letter that confirms itâ€™s configuration as a Colt Lightning Slide Action Rifle with a 20â€ round barrel, blue finish and wood stocks when shipped to Bassett & Reeves, address unavailable, on October 18, 1897. There is no mention of the saddle ring mounted on the left side of the frame but it appears to have been factory installed at the time of original manufacture. The wood stocks are in good condition with minor handling marks and an added coat of varnish. The action functions properly and the bore is good. The factory applied markings are all clear and sharp including the Rampant Colt on the side of the frame. There is a generous amount of thinning blue on the barrel, tube and frame with the butterfly marking on the frame from the saddle ring. Bassett and Reeves were located in New Haven, Connecticut.

The period correct Colt Box has the number 37778 on the bottom and an AGI end label that indicates the proper configuration but has black marker lines through it. The corners of the box lid are torn. The revolver retains a very high percentage of original blue and case colors throughout with some holster wear on the barrel and cylinder. The rubber stocks are slightly smaller than the grip frame. Historic antique Baker Gun and Forging Co., "New Baker" 12 gauge double barrel Shotgun, engraved on left side of false side plate is "Sheriff", right side of side plate is engraved "H.B. Bell". Shotgun has 30" twist steel barrels with shiny bores and exposed rabbit ear hammers. This Shotgun appears to have once belonged to Hamilton Butler Bell a Deputy U.S. Marshal, Pioneer Sheriff and Mayor of Dodge City, Kansas. A "Grand old man of the southwest" known as "Ham", who was in his own words the "Longest living old west Marshall and Sheriff". The engraving is hand done and exactly matches the "New Baker" on the receiver and "Batavia, N.Y." on the trigger plate in letter style and application. The gun was likely a presentation piece or special order gun for Bell. Hammers and triggers work as designed and the wood forend and buttstock are in very good condition. This gun was likely manufactured circa 1890s.

Antique Colt Single Action Army Revolver, SN 81127 in .45 caliber. Manufactured circa 1882, this revolver has a 7 1/2â€ barrel and wood stocks. The serial number matches on the frame, trigger guard and back strap with the last four digits on the cylinder and bottom of the barrel, under the ejector housing. Traces of the barrel address are lightly visible, patent dates are clearly visible. The wood stocks are loose and have shrunken to be smaller than the grip frame. The stocks have notches in the bottoms of both sides but the significance of these notches is unknown. There are very slight traces of blue on both sides of the trigger guard.
