Bisque swivel head on kid-lined bisque shoulderplate, brown glass sleep eyes, painted lashes, brushstroked brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, open mouth, four tiny porcelain teeth, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig, commercial twill body with stitch-jointing, bisque forearms. Marks: SH 1009 dep (head) SH 1010 (shoulderplate). Excellent condition. Simon and Halbig, circa 1890, very fresh and vibrant original traditional costume, including lace and velvet coiffe, beaded velvet vest with decorations.

Solid domed bisque socket head, painted blonde boyish hair, small painted blue eyes, heavy eyelids, closed mouth, deeply-impressed dimples in each cheek, double chin, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, nicely costumed. Marks: 3 ABG 1321. Excellent condition except small chip on bottom of neck socket with 1/2" emanating hairline. Alt, Beck and Gottschalk, circa 1912.

Each is poured wax with hand-pressed modeling, depicting 1920s-era black persons of New Orleans, each with original fabric costumes which are also dipped in wax and two are mounted on original wooden base with "Vargas" paper label below. Very good condition, some fingers missing. Circa 1930.
