Richardson Deluxe M5 Guerrilla Slam Fire Shotgun Lot #19 (Sale Order 19 of 875) Made in New Haven, CT around 1946, this unique Philippine Guerrilla Gun is patterned after the homemade single shot scatter guns that Iliff D. "Rich" Richardson found when fighting alongside the Philippine resistance fighters in WWII. Richardson was on PT-34 motor torpedo boat that was sunk in April 1942 by Japanese aircraft. The surviving members of the crew, including Richardson, went ashore and fought first with the US Army then the Philippine guerrillas, once the main US force at Corregidor surrendered. After the war the book and film "An American Guerilla in the Philippines" chronicled his service, with Richardson being played by Tyron Powers. In 1946, Richardson founded Richardson Industries to sell his Model R5 Guerrilla gun. This gun had no trigger, hammer, , extractor, magazine, sights, or choke tubes. This gun had just 5 parts while the Deluxe model had 17 parts and they each sold for about $7 in 1946. These guns were never very popular and ceased production after just a year. For this reason, they are extremely rare and highly collectible. SN 10200

Captain Urban "Ben" Drew Autographed Poster Lot #716 (Sale Order 662 of 875) Commissioned a 2nd Lt and awarded his pilots wings October 1, 1943. He went overseas May 1944 and was assigned to the 375th Fighter Squadron of the 361st FG in the ETO flying P-51’s, which he named, “Detroit Miss.” He destroyed 6 enemy aircraft in aerial combat, and was also the first person to shoot down 2 German Me-262 jet fighters in the same day for which he was awarded the Air Force Cross and Distinguished Flying Cross for this feat, BUT IT TOOK 40 YEARS FOR THESE AWARDS AND RECOGNITION. He was initially turned down because of “insufficient confirmation” but years after the war German records were found verifying the double kill. After his service in the ETO he flew P-47 Thunderbolts off Iwo Jima until the end of the war. The print is signed by the artist and numbered 434/750. Captain Drew died April 3, 2013. Included I verify these autographs were obtained by me at the Show of Shows in 1998. Steve Thompson. Dixie Devil Diver Museum.
