Gastinne Renette of Paris Mod. 202 in 12 Gauge. Gastinne Renette is one of Europe's most famous gunmakers. This is a very classic looking European shotgun with a straight grip stock; very thin in the wrist area. There is very tight engraving on the frame and heavy deep relief engraved bolsters. Right barrel has a ding about 2" from the muzzle. Bores are bright and shiny. Wood is good overall condition with typical hunting mars and dings. The buttplate on this is not separate but instead sculpted into the stock. Gold initials on the bottom of the trigger guard appear to be "CDC". SN-38562

U.S. Coast Guard Presentation Sword to Alexander W. Wuerker. Inscription on scabbard "Presented to Alexander W. Wuerker for excellence in Military Tactics and Drill By the Class of 1927". Sword made by Trade Challenger Mark, Germany. Overall condition is excellent. Also included with these items are some of the training booklets he has written, pictures, personal letters, a biography and eulogy. Andrew was born in Zurich, Switzerland, raised in Detroit MI, served in the Navy, attended the Coast Guard Academy in New London, and graduated as honor man in his class. He led a very interesting and fulfilling life. It seems his Cutter, while on sea duty in the Pacific, participated in the search for Amelia Earhart. Just one of many things this gentleman has done. He married his wife, Mimi, in 1939 and had two sons, Brian and Barry. Check out the inscription on back of Pilot Wings "I Fly With You Always, Love Mimi".

Deutsche Werke German Youth Rifle in .22 Long Rifle. This was manufactured in Germany between 1919 and 1939. Has a 19" barrel length with a good bore. Single-shot, tip-up breech for loading and ejecting shell; with bolt pull for cocking and safety. The Deutsche Werke logo; a stylized "D" being formed by what is referred to as a "dormant lion" with the tail forming the "belly" of the D, inside a circle on the breech-block and left side of stock. The right hing plate is stamped "D.R.P./Germany" for Deutsche Reichspatent (Patented in Germany). The breech block is stamped "Mod./I" under the logo mentioned above. Deutsche Werke AG was orignally a factory that made torpedoes and later submarines for the German Kriegsmaring; they also produced motorcycles and diesel engines.
