BIO: Grabone was not his real surname (Arnold) & related to where he was brought up, so he is sometimes know as Arnold-Grabone. He studied art intensively in Munich under Max Liebermann and became known for his unique style of palette knife painting. Interestingly, in the 1950s, he tutored in Germany notable figures such as Eisenhower & Winston Churchill. Through this association with these figures, his work became popular especially in the U.S where Former President Lyndon B Johnson owned one of his paintings.
