1976 MG MGB Rover V8 1976 MG MGB Rover V8

1976 MG MGB Rover V8

Lot #208S (Sale Order 8 of 143)

One of the most popular English sports cars ever imported into the United States, the MG B is handsome, rugged and fabulously fun to drive. This particular MG B takes a well-known and beloved car into a totally new dimension. During restoration 10 years ago the owner decided to give the peppy roadster a powerful boost and installed the well-regarded Rover 3.9 liter V8. Amazingly this American designed aluminum block engine is actually 50 pounds lighter than the original and considerably less powerful MG 4 cylinder. So the car has that famous MG handling with way more horses. The Rover engine delivers its power through a three speed automatic transmission with long gears making it an ideal highway cruiser. That restoration was complete including new red paint and a new top which fits over a collapsible frame which provides for a useable trunk. Mini lite wheels were added at that time. MG Bs have always been a fun car but this Rover powered “......hot rod”...... is extra fun. ESTIMATE: $12,500 - $17,500

1973 Volkswagen Custom 1973 Volkswagen Custom

1973 Volkswagen Custom

Lot #210S (Sale Order 10 of 143)

Without a doubt the most unusual item we are offering for auction is this motortrike based on the back half of a 1973 VW Beetle and the front half of a Honda motorcycle. The owner built the trike not only to honor baseball in general and specifically the Boston Red Sox, it is also to honor a fallen warrior. The front half was a regular trike owned by a Vietnam vet. The vet loved motorcycles but due to his wounds, he could no longer ride one. The vet built himself a trike. After the vet passed the current owner thought it would be good place to start a tribute. One of the most interesting features is the signed baseball gearshift knob. There is Red Sox legend Rico Petrocelli and Baseball Hall of Fame Pitcher who played for the Baltimore Orioles Jim Palmer. Also, there are the signatures of two women that played in All-American Girls Professional Baseball League during World War 2 -- Shirley Burkovich and Maybelle Blair. Both women were inspirations for characters in the Tom Hank’......s film A LEAGUE OF THEIR OWN. Whoever buys this trike and uses for whatever promotion or make it street legal in all states, should keep in mind the heart that went into building it. OPTIONAL TRAILER INCLUDED- PRICE NEGOTIABLE ESTIMATE: $30,000 - $40,000

1971 Dodge Dart Swinger

Lot #212S (Sale Order 12 of 143)

This beautiful, "numbers matching", all original and sporty 1971 Dart Swinger in bright red with black, textured vinyl roof has only 33,900 original miles comes with the original owner's manual and build sheet. This car starts, runs, handles and stops as when new. It provides an unusually comfortable ride and will cruise for hours at 70 mph with ease. The 225 cid slant-six engine, paired with its TorqueFlite 3-speed automatic transmission, is renowned for its long life and peppy acceleration. Only the battery and tires are not original to the car. This car draws attention wherever it goes and took first place for originality at "Memories on Wheels" car show, Corinth, NY in 2010 with about 250 cars present. Also won "Favorite 40" at Adirondack Car Enthusiasts show in June 2013, Glens Falls, NY. The only "downside" to this car is the fading/crazing of the paint on the hood and trunk, due to age and sun exposure over the years. The engine, its related components and the engine bay are in remarkable original condition, as is the trunk compartment. The intake manifold gasket was replaced in 2015. Both the intake and exhaust manifolds were professionally machined and repainted in their respective original blue and aluminum VHT paint colors. All lights, gauges and wipers are in proper working order, with exception of the gas gauge. A gas log has been meticulously kept with dates, mileage, usage, price per gallon, etc. and is driven weekly from April to October, averaging 325 miles per year from 2009 to 2017. Options include a black vinyl roof, wood grained sport steering wheel with rim-blow horn, lap and shoulder belts, and Music Master AM radio which is in perfect working condition. 1960 Rambler American 1960 Rambler American

1960 Rambler American

Lot #216S (Sale Order 16 of 143)

This car is one of the rarest in the country and is a real "survivor" in the truest sense of the word. Very few of the 2,994 produced still exist and the unusual Cinnamon Bronze and Frost White color combination may be the only one in existence. It is a "numbers matching" car, nearly all original with only 44,670 miles and comes with the original owner's manual. The dash, garnish moldings and steering wheel are also in Cinnamon Bronze. The seats, headliner, door panels are upholstered in coordinating lavender and white, cloth and vinyl materials. It is believed that these are original to the car but the carpeting has been replaced with white, cut pile, not original to the car. The original in-line six cylinder 196 cid, OHV engine and the manual 3-speed transmission provide plenty of "get up and go" and easily cruise at 65mph for hours at a time. The engine, accessories and engine bay are in remarkable original condition and the trunk compartment is immaculate. The "stick shift" lever is quite unusual: instead of traditional mounting on the steering column, as with other cars, it is located on the dash next to the steering wheel, in a ball joint configuration! This is virtually a rust free car with only minor paint chips and scratches, expected in a car of its' age. All chrome, stainless moldings, emblems, bezels and mirrors are original to the car, with no dents or dings, with exception of one small dent in the right door molding. It has a working AM dial radio, but the antenna needs mounting. The heater/defrost are in good working order, as are all gauges, lights wipers. This car placed Second for 1950-1961 Stock Vehicles at a show sponsored by Adirondack Car Enthusiasts, in August of 2015 and was a "FAVORITE 40" in the June 2015 ACE annual car show, Glens Falls, NY. 1955 Oldsmobile Super 88 1955 Oldsmobile Super 88

1955 Oldsmobile Super 88

Lot #217S (Sale Order 17 of 143)

In 1955 the Olds Super 88 was the top of the line below the Olds 98 and a highly desirable car as a somewhat sedate classic. However, this is no ordinary restored Super 88, this car has been given a new lease on life with a modern and powerful “......big block”...... 403 cu. in. (6.6 liter) V8, Edelbrock carbs and a new GM YH350 3-speed automatic transmission. This 4-door sedan will be a surprise to anyone thinking it is an outdated relic with poor performance! It has been restored in an attractive blue and white two-tone style paint. The chrome is in excellent shape, which is important on the mid-50s GM cars that relied heavily on bright work to enhance the styling. The owner says is has never shown rust in the bodywork. The interior is redone in grey cloth. With a new, more powerful engine this is an impressive refreshing of a classic from the mid-50s. ESTIMATE: $10,000 - $18,000

1917 Buick D 34/35

Lot #221S (Sale Order 21 of 143)

This is an interesting and fun classic. It’......s a 1917 Buick D34 or 35, which started life as either a touring car or roadster. The four-cylinder engine puts out 33 HP. Basic black it is now an open cab truck. The owner believes it was converted into a truck during the depression at a time when hard-times called for ingenuity and making the most of what you had. Another possibility is the idea that trucks received a larger gas ration during the war. Whatever the explanation this is certainly something different in the way of interesting classics. 1947 Kaiser Special

Lot #227S (Sale Order 26 of 143)

After World War 2 shipbuilder Henry J Kaiser, whose Liberty ships were important in winning the war, and automobile executive Joseph W Frazer took a huge gamble and formed an automobile company to take on the “......Big Three”....... The Kaiser-Frazer Corporation was formed in 1945 and their first cars went on sale in 1947. The cars were a big hit and in 1948 they claimed a 19 million dollar profit! But, this success was fleeting. The Kaiser and the Frazer (each executive had a model named after them) were the only “......new”...... car available after the war. The “......Big Three”...... could only offer rehashed pre-war cars. Once the “......Big Three”...... started to make truly new cars all things change. Also, it didn’......t help that Kaiser and Frazer disagreed on how to run the company. Frazer left leaving Kaiser to run things by himself until he moved operations overseas but that’......s another story. The Special was the entry level car. It was powered by an L-head IL-6 226 cid motor made by Continental that provided 85 hp. Ahead of its time, the Kaiser had a 3 speed all synchronized transmission. We are offering an extremely original example of the first year of the Kaiser. A true survivor this maybe the most original example of the 66,801 specials manufactured in 1947. Owned by one family for almost sixty years, this is a time capsule still in its original Clay Pipe Gray exterior. -First year manufactured - One owner for nearly 60 years - Driven often - No rust - Always garaged - Never driven in bad weather - For those who love rare survivors - ESTIMATE: $6,500 - $12,500

1951 GMC 150 Series

Lot #228S (Sale Order 27 of 143)

In the collector car world, over the last few years, pickup trucks have become highly collectible and are steadily increasing in value. Before pickup trucks became bestselling staples of the suburban driveway, pickups were considered a hard working but disposable vehicle once their job was done. Just think about how many rusting pickups you’......ve seen abandoned in farm fields. So pickups are hard to find in restorable condition from the 40s and 50s. That’......s what makes this 1951 GMC 150 so special. This frame off restoration is a highly collectible example of a truck from an era when trucks were trucks. The truck was built in St. Louis but was purchased from the restorer in Virginia five years ago and has been part of a local car collection since then. These pickups never appeared in television ads driven by special people in fancy dress clothes dropping the vehicle off at valet parking. This beautiful light blue GMC pickup is a real truck designed to haul hay, seed bags and equipment. It has a four speed manual transmission. Synchromesh was a $40 option. This ¾... ton truck is powered by a 228 cu. In. straight 6-cylinder engine with a single downdraft carburetor. The engine boosts 90 HP at 3200 which means it was designed for low torque. Highly collectible pickup trucks like this example are only going to become more valuable to collectors who love Americana and the real deal. ESTIMATE: $35,000 - $45,000

1951 Mercury Sport Sedan

Lot #229S (Sale Order 28 of 143)

One of the iconic models from the immediate post war era, the 1951 Mercury Sport Sedan is thought to be one of the best looking Mercury of those years thanks in part to its Lincoln inspired styling. One thing all three Ford nameplates shared was the famous Ford flat head V8 engine which was nearing the end of its useful service. What sets the Mercury Sports Sedan’......s engine apart is the larger displacement at 255 cu. in. and different carburation. That flat head V8 still runs very smoothly in this sedan. Shifting is by a column mounted three speed. This striking Maroon four-door sedan underwent a high quality and complete restoration in 2006. The interior is cloth as it should be because this car was restored to be totally original. One of the most interesting features of this Sports Sedan is the suicide doors. Thanks to custom car shops and hot rod enthusiast original 1951 Mercury sedans are hard to find in this condition. ESTIMATE: $25,000 - $30,000

While sales were still good Ford and Plymouth were gaining on Chevrolet with newer styles that reflected the new national prosperity and optimism. A completely new design, the 1953 Chevys featured three new model names as well. The 210 was the mid-range model for the year. All the models shared a 6 cylinder OHV 235 cu.in. engine but the sport model developed slightly more horsepower. The transmission on this car is a synchromesh three speed. This particular car has undergone a complete high quality restoration. The interior is original in brown cloth. The paint is Bermuda Green over a Fiesta Cream body. It is said to run smoothly and drive well. The 210 Sport Coup is a relatively rare classic and this is a fine example. ESTIMATE: $25,000 - $30,000

1954 Kaiser Manhattan 1954 Kaiser Manhattan

1954 Kaiser Manhattan

Lot #231S (Sale Order 30 of 143)

On July 25, 1945, Henry J. Kaiser, producer of Liberty Ships during WWII teamed with Joseph Frazer, Packard executive, and announced the formation of a new corporation, Kaiser-Frazer, which would target the growing post-war demand for automobiles. Leasing Ford’......s Willow Run plant from the War Assets Administration they produced 11,000 cars in 1946. After a few profitable years, the company lost $30 Million in 1949. Frazer left the company. In 1951 Howard “......Dutch”...... Darrin redesigned the company's flagship Kaiser Manhattan. With its rounded roofline, trapezoidal glass treatment, concave waterfall grille and a fender line that curved gently from front to rear, embellished by a slight dip under the rear side window that became known as the “......Darrin Dip,”...... which was echoed by peaks in the windshield and rear windows, it is considered to be one of the most beautiful American designs of the early post-war era. The 1954 Kaiser Manhattan, considered the most elegant of Kaisers, included rear reflective lenses that accentuated the Manhattan's tail fins and a hood scoop that coordinated with the chrome lines of the concave grill. It was advertised as the safest car in America due to its wrap-around bumpers, low center of gravity, drop-out windshield, padded dash and excellent field of view for the driver. 4,107 of these elegant sedans were produced and few remain. This restored and modified '54 Manhattan has survived and remains on the road largely due to the Chevy 350 Small Block V8 and TH350 Transmission that has been swapped for the car's original 6-cylinder 226 cid L head engine and Hydramatic Transmission. Other modifications include: Chevy 10 bolt rear with 3.00 to 1 ratio, 4-wheel power disc brakes, full 1987 Camaro front clip and suspension and power steering. Aside from the AM/FM Cassette deck with rear speakers, the exterior and interior are original, repainted in the original Cream over Teal with reupholstered seats. This was the era of large steering wheels, roomy bench seats, vent windows and plenty of chrome and this car has it all. Awards include: GoodGuys 2011 East Coast Nationals - "Dare to be Different" East Coast Classic Car Association's 2011 Orchard Beach Car & Motor Cycle Show Moonlight Cruisers Classic Car Club Show 2012 Rock N Rods Classic Car Club of New York, Cruise Night 2017 ESTIMATE: $25,000 - $35,000

1966 Ford Mustang

Lot #252S (Sale Order 51 of 143)

There are lots of Mustangs on the road, but a few stand out amongst the crowd. This is true of this gorgeous 1966 hardtop coupe with its' original and unusual Antique Bronze paint and black vinyl roof. The car is a "numbers matching" vehicle which is nearly 100% original, with the exception of a professional repaint in its original color in 2015, new front and rear bumpers and door sills. It starts, runs, handles and stops as it should when new. A new power steering pump installed in 2015 and maneuvering and road handling are effortless. This car is extremely comfortable riding and a real pleasure to drive. Its'original in-line six cylinder engine and 3-speed automatic transmission provide fast, smooth acceleration and will cruise all day at 70 mph with no issues. The Mustang's unique styling, wire spoke wheels, front bucket seats and front-to-back center console with mounted shifter provide the look of a sporty muscle car, as does the attractive steering wheel, full gauge instrument panel and gull wing dash. The engine and its associated components, the cars' full black interior and the trunk are all in original condition and very presentable. The car is also equipped with an AM/FM/MP3 stereo hidden in the glove box. The dash mounted AM/FM/Cassette may be made operable but this is not certain. This Mustang is driven weekly and attracts attention on every outing. The current mileage is believed to be a little over 119K. It is used mostly for family pleasure, with an average of 220 miles per year over the past 10 years. The car took a "Top 5 Classic Driver" trophy in August of 2015 at the Annual West Glens Falls, NY "Freedom Festival" show, with some 200 cars in attendance. While unable to fully document, it is believed that this car was essentially a two-owner car prior to the present day owner's purchase in November of 2007. The car was built in Metuchen, NJ and is said to have never been driven in the winter and never to have left the state of NY until November of 2007. It is now driven from April to October of each year and is kept in dry storage during the fall and winter months. ESTIMATE: $15,000 - $22,500

The 1963 Chevy Impala Super Sport (Z03) is one of the “......Godfathers”...... of the muscle car. A full size Chevy based on GM’......s B-platform it came with “......mandatory”...... suspension upgrades, stronger station wagon wheels, and sintered brake linings. But, the real upgrade was under the hood. In the case of the one up for auction, is the legendary “......409”....... This example is a convertible painted white with a stunning red interior. It has four on the floor, bucket seats and a factory original steering column mounted TAC. Under the hood is, of course, a 409 cid motor making 340 honest horses. The power gets to the road through a Posi rear with 3:36 gears. If that is not good enough, a 4:11 is available. The radio works, the clock works, even the “......cold”...... green water temp light comes on when you twist the key! This an extremely clean example of one of the greatest performance cars built by GM. ESTIMATE: $55,000 - $65,000

1970 Buick GS 455 Stage 1

Lot #255S (Sale Order 54 of 143)

The Buick has a long-standing reputation as “......an old man's car.”...... However, in 1970 if my “......old man”...... had a Buick GS 455 Stage 1, I'd be mighty impressed! It's got a 455 cid motor, 360 horses, and 510 lbs of torque. It can do 0-60 in about 6.5 seconds and the ¼... mile in 13.38, according to MOTOR TREND in the January 1970 issue, or about 105.5 mph with an automatic. There are some faster but none with the same style and grace. We are offering an extraordinary example of this all factory original “......gentlemen's”...... muscle car. It had only one owner and has been off the road since 1980 with 26,138 miles on the odometer. The exterior was painted Buick Silver Mist Irid (#14) in May 2017 with the stripe done in Buick Black (A-946). The vinyl roof is also black (code 12B Formula No. 169C42). The black interior features reupholstered front buckets. This vehicle also has a new set of white walls. The drive train is completely original with a 4 speed. Of the 2,465 Stage 1's made in 1970 only 664 had a 4 speed. 1964 Porsche 356C 1964 Porsche 356C

1964 Porsche 356C

Lot #259S (Sale Order 58 of 143)

This 1964 coupe is a restored example of the final development of Porsche’......s iconic 356 series. These are the cars that made Porsche renowned as a creator of highly desirable sports cars that continues today. With its rear engine, unusual styling and high performance the 356 is regarded as one of the most influential automotive designs in history. This C model represents a major step forward for Porsche with the introduction of full disc brakes and an engine that is far removed from the early VW based engine design. The 356C is important because it is all Porsche and represents the final culmination of development for the “......bathtub”...... Porsches that began in 1948 with a design by “......Ferry”...... Porsche. The car, consigned to the Saratoga Auto Auction, has been in the same ownership for 20-years and has only 61,000 miles. The color is the original factory supplied Ivory White and the four-seat interior has been redone in tan leather, a common upgrade from the original vinyl seats. The Porsche 356C features what was then the revolutionary Porsche air-cooled flat 4-cylinder pushrod engine. A pair of Zenith 32 NDIX carburetors feed the 1600cc engine, which puts puts out some 88hp. The engine is teamed with the highly regarded Porsche 742 fully synchronized four-speed gearbox. As the original Porsche design, the engine is rear mounted on a steel chassis. There are some styling clues, like larger windows and the dual air intakes on the rear lid, that differentiate the 356C from the earlier A and B models but it is the use of disc brakes on all four corners, the first Porsches to have all disc brakes, that makes the C special. Combined with newly dampened steering, stiffened front anti-roll bar and softer torsion bars the C is reputed to be the best handling of the 356 models. This is an excellent example of a popular and coveted sports car that will only continue to be appreciated by its new owner in the coming years. ESTIMATE: $70,000 - $85,000

1957 Austin-Healey 100-6 1957 Austin-Healey 100-6

1957 Austin-Healey 100-6

Lot #263S (Sale Order 62 of 143)

The Austin Healey 100-6 may be the best looking English sports car of the 50s with its Italian style curves, which stood in contrast to some of the unfortunate designs from Britain in the era. It was also a solid performer on the racetrack as well with class wins at LeMans and Sebring. The Austin Healeys were designed for export to the States and were hugely successful in this country. This is a recent frame up rebuild with careful attention to the details. Mileage since restoration is a low 6400. The smooth running straight line 6-cylinder puts out a memorable and snappy exhaust. At nearly 2.7 liters (161 cu. in.) this engine was tweaked by Healey until it produced 119 horses and could do just over 100 mph thus the 100 designation. The gearbox is the standard manual 4 speeds with electric overdrive. This car features an electronic ignition that is a real advantage given the reputation of English ignition systems. That great sound is enhanced by a stainless steel exhaust system, yet another really appealing upgrade. The big Healeys were always famed for their excellent handling and this 100-6 is no exception. 72-spoke wire wheels compliment the stance of this English sports car icon. The Colorado Red paint makes for a great looking roadster that any Healey fan will admire. The two-bucket seats are in black leather with red piping. The convertible top is new in black vinyl as are the tonneau cover and side curtains. The Austin Healey was highly popular on both sides of the Atlantic back in the day and is still considered one of the most highly desirable of the British classics ESTIMATE: $50,000 - $60,000

2003 Maserati Spyder

Lot #266S (Sale Order 65 of 143)

The 2003 Maserati Spyder was a + $100,000 car when new and here is an example in a rare and desirable color combination - nettuno blue/cuoio saddle leather - in excellent condition, just over 21,000 miles. It has a stunning body design by one of Italy's greatest designers, Giugiaro, and an all-alloy 4-cam dry-sump V-8 engine designed by Ferrari and built in Ferrari's engine factory precisely like Ferrari builds engines for their own cars, each engine blueprinted and assembled by a single Ferrari engine builder. Maserati's CEO has stated that his most expensive supplier is Ferrari! This Spyder has a full leather interior and its options include 'skyhook' sport suspension and cambiocorsa ('racing change') transmission - Maserati's road version of Ferrari's Formula 1 paddle-shift gearbox. The car's actual driving experience on the road is not too far from that of the Ferrari 575M Maranello: 0-62mph (100km/ph) is 4.8 sec vs. the Maranello's 4.1 sec and top speed 176 mph (282 km/hr) v. Maranello's 202 mph (325 km/hr). But no one actually drives like that. The Spyder's steering turn-in and handling are excellent, especially in the 'sport' setting that stiffens suspension and automatically changes the ECU of the cambiocorsa paddle shift gearbox to very rapid shifts. The car can also be driven in full automatic transmission mode but it is not advisable for any length of time since clutch wear is higher. ESTIMATE: $30,000 - $40,000

Today the basic Road Runner is better known and the GTX is more difficult to find but shares the same basic body style. This large and impressive 2-door hardtop is equipped with the basic but powerful 440 cu. in. “......Super Commando”...... V8 engine. Off the line the Super Commando could beat a Hemi until the Hemi’......s cam kicked in. That “......Super Commando”...... engine was something else again, turning 0-60 mph in 5.8 seconds and do the quarter mile in 13.7 seconds. While this car is better appointed than most muscle cars of the period, it still exhibits the wild styling popular with these big-engined beasts. The spectacular paint job is in Plum Crazy Purple and the immaculate interior is in white with bucket seats. This is one gorgeous car and a model you won’......t see often on the streets or at the car shows where it should be an award winner. Estimate: $50,000 - $60,000

1969 Ford Torino 1969 Ford Torino

1969 Ford Torino

Lot #275S (Sale Order 74 of 143)

1969 FORD TORINO 428 COBRA JET This award winning Torino, which originated as a factory ordered drag race car, sat in the dealership through 1970 before being sold. It came with a balanced 428 engine with cold-air cowl induction atop a single four-barrel carburetor and sported an external oil cooler, a four-speed transmission and limited slip differential. The car currently has 28,067 original miles on it. “......It received a ground up rotisserie restoration that was started in 2007 and extended through early 2008,”...... says its proud owner. “......I went through the car again in 2010, going over all loose items and fine tuning it so it could be used, but it’......s been driven less than 700 miles since then. “......It’......s still a thrill to drive, though you have to have patience and let it warm up for a while so that it runs right. Then it’......s a rocket ship that’......s liable to get you in trouble in a hurry. It has all sorts of torque and really gets away from red lights!”...... A review of vintage TV advertisements finds the Torino Cobra Jet hyped with snakes swirling across the screen and the car flying uphill on a twisting road, which may have been a bit of overstatement, as despite the car’......s heavy duty suspension and high performance tires, it was definitely not a road course car in factory trim. Buyers were given a choice of Sports roof or GT roof styles, with the ads touting 355 HP and 445 ft/lbs of torque while offering “......Fire and flair at a Fairlane price!”...... But Ford understated the horsepower, which was actually in the 400 range, as part of the process of getting a sister version, the Torino Talladega, approved for NASCAR competition. As part of the homologation process, they had to produce 500 cars but actually built some 750 at their Atlanta plant. Since they lost several thousand dollars on each car, many have since questioned why they built more than the minimum. The Talladega model looked very similar from a distance, but had a six-inch nose extension and flush mounted grille above a narrowed rear bumper with capped ends, all for improved aerodynamics. They also had rolled and lowered rocker panels for the same reason and came with automatic transmissions and offset rear shocks while the drag versions had four speeds and limited slip differentials. But it all came to an end in 1970, when Congressional hearings on the cost of racing vs improving fuel mileage and safety led Ford to drop out of racing for a few years, despite great success. This particular Cobra Jet, a National First Prize winner at Hershey, definitely brings viewers back to that era. ESTIMATE: $75,000 - $90,000

1968 Ford Shelby GT-350 1968 Ford Shelby GT-350

1968 Ford Shelby GT-350

Lot #278S (Sale Order 77 of 143)

The owner of this 1968 Shelby GT 350 may well be the most dedicated Carroll Shelby fan you will ever meet. He knew Shelby personally and is a devoted collector of Shelby memorabilia with hundreds of autographed items from mugs used by Shelby to helmets, jackets and signed photographs. His collection includes the valuable files from the original Shelby American company that produced the Cobra and LeMan’......s winning Daytona coupes. In the end, the real prize of his Shelby collections may well be the 1968 Shelby GT 350 he has owned for nearly 50 years. He obtained the car in a trade. It was really just a shell with no engine. In a labor of devotion the car underwent a lengthy restoration although it might be better to say it was rebuilt to the highest standards with an emphasis on performance and handling. So this is no ordinary Shelby GT 350, this car has been beefed up to deliver performance. The engine is a 351-C Boss V8 with 4 Bolt Mains. This engine now delivers an impressive 539.6 HP with a high 11.5-1 compression ratio. The valve covers are the original Shelby lettered versions. The engine is feed by Webber 48 I.D.A. carburetors through a Shelby lettered intake manifold. This car is built to withstand the rigors of competition. The transmission is a Richmond Bullet Proof 5 speed. The rear end features a 4 pinion Traction Lock differential. Special competition Wilwood racing disc brakes are used on all 4 corners. Aluminum American Racers wheels are used with small number Goodyear tires to achieve maximum grip. The fastback body is done in a dramatic Jade Green Metallic paint with a Shelby GT 350 strip on the sides and all the Shelby lettering and badges. The black interior includes Mach 1 bucket seats. A frequent competitor at local drag strips the car’......s best time in the quarter mile is 11.91 at 123 miles per hour. At the same time the car is a consistent winner at Shelby American Automobile Club meetings all over the country. It is impossible to list all the SAAC Popular Car Show awards this Shelby has won over many years. As a show winner this Shelby GT 350 has graced the cover of the SAAC magazine and has been featured in a number of magazines including Hot Rod, Mustang Illustrated and Fabulous Mustangs. It has even been a television star appearing in the series, “......The Exciting World of Speed and Beauty.”...... The owner has extensively documented the life of this car so its history will be included for its new owner. With incredible performance and a near perfect body this car is an opportunity to own the ultimate Shelby memorabilia. In fact the car comes with Carroll Shelby’......s autograph on the glove box. V8 2X4-barrel Carburetors/245 bhp 2-Speed Powerglide Automatic Transmission Power Assisted Four Wheel Hydraulic Drum Brakes Most Iconic 1950’......s American Car Professional Level of Restoration and Detailing Dual Four-Barrel Intake with Hydraulic Lifters The Model: In early 1955, just as the quickly re-worked the 1956 Chevrolets had been finalized, work was started on the 1957 edition. Corporate HQ had already dictated that 1957 would have to be face-lift of the 1956, that’......s all that was in the budget. Rumors were flying that the other two members of the low-priced three would have brand new cars with ground-breaking designs. Mackichan’......s team went to work and the finished product was a master-piece. Only because Ford pushed to produce and dump low-line models on their dealers, did the best Chevrolet’......s numbers, and then only by a slim margin. The iconic look of the Chevrolet, with its impressive and beautiful up-front grille and bumper design, the the finely crafted and distinctive side trim, made the 1957 Belair and instant classic. To celebrate this new look the popular small-block V8 introduced in 1955, was enlarged to 283 cubic inches and came in six flavors of horsepower. From the base two-barrel, the Power-Pack 4-barrel, a pair of dual four-barrel engines and another pair of V8’......s with fuel-injection, made Chevrolet the car performance minded buyers most often turned to. Top of the lne was the Belair convertible with 47,562 being produced. The Car: Color is everything with cars from the 1950’......s. While some collectors can only see red, it takes a true patron of beauty to look at the wide range offered from the palette offered by the 1957 Chevrolet. This stunning example is finished in Colonial Cream, a light yellow that is accented with seat bolsters finished in matching vinyl complimented by silver vinyl inserts. Showing just over 90,000 miles, which are believed to be from new, this car has been lightly used and always kept in top condition. A new top was recently added and it was recently re-worked to accept lead-free gas pumping through those dual four-barrel carbs. While the bat-wing style air-cleaner is the center of attraction under the hood, the entire engine compartment has been restored to better-than-new in appearance and function. The interior is well appointed with factory AM radio, heater-defroster and clock with even the luggage compartment looking fresh and new. This 1957 Belair convertible is really a cut-above the regular crowd in its appearance, performance and iconic design. This Tri-Five has gone through an extensive body-on frame-up restoration and is absolutely stunning! Drive it anywhere and take yourself back to a time of American pride and opulence.

1934 Harley-Davidson VLD 1934 Harley-Davidson VLD

1934 Harley-Davidson VLD

Lot #280S (Sale Order 79 of 143)

Harley-Davidson, of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, began producing motorcycles in the first decade of the 20th century. Production began with three motorcycles in 1905 and rose to 1100 by 1909. The company produced 20,000 motorcycles for the army in World War I, and by the 1920s, yearly production was in the 20-28,000 range, with exports to 60 countries around the world. The crash of 1929 and the resulting world-wide economic depression was a catastrophe for Harley-Davidson. By 1933, the company was on a two-day work week and total yearly production was less than 4000 motorcycles. A drastic change was needed to save the company from failure and that change was the new, for 1934, VL model. The new VL series was powered by a brand new “......Big Twin”...... –...... this was a “......Powerful Dynamic TNT Motor”...... of 74 cubic inch that produced 36 bhp & 4600 rpm. It reverted to a side-valve engine design for ease of construction, simpler maintenance, and improved reliability. This new engine was installed in a frame with traditional, for the era, suspension, but the other significant change was in the appearance of the VL line, which took its inspiration from the Art Deco movement of the time. The new VL models featured “......air-flo”...... styling with “......magnificent colors in numerous combinations”...... all melded together to produce a “......spic and span, trim and modern”...... motorcycle. But the new engine, with modern styling and Harley’......s “......Pay-As-You-Ride”...... finance plans, and the new model was a sales success, with approximately 7500 produced in 1934. This motorcycle’......s original owner was Francis Romaine –...... apparently, he was a man with a great deal of mechanical skills. He had his own workshop and took very good care of his Harley. Upon his death, his aunt cleaned out his house and sold the motorcycle to its current owner in 1978 in a partially disassembled, but complete condition. Realizing the reassembly was beyond his capabilities, the new owner stored the cycle for the next few years. Sometimes it was in the spare bedroom of a friend’......s house (apparently a very understanding friend!) until the present owner acquired a house with a garage. Now the motorcycle had a place of its own where it was carefully parked and covered with blankets. And there it sat –...... aside from the few times when the blankets were removed and the owner imagined it rebuilt and running, its odometer moving again past the 7897 miles that were on it. Recently, a suitable expert was found; the cycle was uncovered and taken to the restoration shop for an evaluation of its condition. The results were hard to believe: the original factory-custom two-tone paint was in fine condition as were all the original factory decals and tags. Also present were the original factory exhaust and air cleaner (very rare), original Harley windshield/fairing, and saddlebags. The seat and pedals were also apparently original. Surprisingly, it appeared the tires are the originals as well. Mechanically, the clutch and transmission were in excellent condition, and upon examination, the cylinder barrels needed only a light hone, not a rebore. In examining the pistons (which are a split-ring design), it was determined that the motorcycle was most likely built in the first six months of VLD production. Included with the cycle are various paper materials, including registration, a letter from Harley-Davidson to the original owner, and a 1934 sales brochure. There are also some miscellaneous vintage parts in their original boxes. In the collector vehicle market, a fairly recent trend is what is known as Preservation vehicles. These are sometimes referred to as “......Barn Find”...... cars, but there is a difference –...... barn find vehicles can be, and frequently are, derelict, abandoned, and decrepit. They can be resurrected and made mobile, but they will still retain the well-worn, neglected, and shabby paint, chrome, and interior that they were found with. This motorcycle, on the other hand, is an outstanding example of a preserved vehicle. The winning bidder will have a difficult decision –...... keep it as it is or take it for a ride for the first time in over 60 years. Either way, it will be a fine example to add to a serious collection. Estimate $90,000 - $110,000

In 1955 Ford introduced the Thunderbird with the sole purpose to beat Chevrolet’......s Corvette. The Thunderbird beat the Corvette senseless. Ford sold 23 T-Birds to every Corvette. It was hardly a contest. The Thunderbird beat the Corvette through a combination of comfort as well as performance. It would be considered the first “......personal luxury car”....... In the past luxury automobiles had to be large sometimes chauffeured vehicles. With the T-Bird, luxury became personal and fun. 1957 was the last year of the first series Thunderbird. It was also the last of the two-seater Thunderbirds for over forty years, no doubt, much to the relief of Chevrolet. The style of the ’......57 was revamped with more pronounced tail fins, larger tail lights, revamped bumpers and grill. Ford offered a variety of V-8’......s with letter designations C, D, F. The styling of the 1954 Ford line-up had been largely unchanged since 1952. Even though 1955 would mark a dramatic styling change, Ford decided to create the rather audacious Skyliner. 1957 Chrysler 300C 1957 Chrysler 300C

1957 Chrysler 300C

Lot #286S (Sale Order 85 of 143)

A special and rare survivor, this is one of 18 Chrysler 300Cs produced in 1957 with an optional performance package designed for NASCAR competition. Of those 18 cars only three survive to this day and this unrestored 300C remains as a unique example of the very first muscle cars. The other cars are the “......mule”...... Chrysler used to engineer this special run and the other is in New Zealand and restored. Big and very fast these cars were a sensation during the mid-Fifties. Chrysler 300s were so named because the original models delivered 300 horses. The car consigned to this auction put out significantly more power. Featuring the famed V8 392 cu.in. “......hemi”...... engine this Chrysler was modified with larger exhaust manifolds and pipes and a Snyder roller camshaft installed by Chrysler. The horsepower was increased from 375 to 390. The exhaust system still has hand made metal part numbers welded to the pipes to pass NASCAR inspection. On the dash a large tachometer is installed in the middle where the clock normally sits, another giveaway this car was intended for competition. The heavy-duty suspension was also as revolutionary as the hemi engine because Chrysler used torsion bars to provide a stiffer suspension than normal in the era. At 4600 lbs. this is a big car so the drum brakes were large and the best of their day but not up to the standards of disc brakes. A unique air scoop under the headlights helped cool the front brakes. The three-speed stick shift is a replacement for the original but is a Chrysler NPG all-synchromesh three speed built in 1967 and purchased from a local NASCAR racer. These original muscle cars are a memorable sight on the road with their sweeping rear fenders and substantial front grill. A two-door coupe, this 300C has been repainted in its original black and the interior is in beige leather. 1955 Ford Crown Victoria Fairlane

Lot #288S (Sale Order 87 of 143)

For 1955, Ford gave its line of cars a face lift with a panoramic windshield and upgraded the power to the "6" and added another larger, borrowed from the "T-bird", V-8. Some of the models names were also changed as the Crestline became the Fairlane. Within the Fairlane model line was the extraordinary Crown Victoria. Its outstanding features include the glass top and chrome "basket handle" connecting both "B" pillars which was borrowed from the Mercury XM-800 show car. For auction is a fine example of this eye catching style. Partially restored in 2005, it has gone 5,000 miles and still has the original motor. It is a stunning two-tone car in the popular combination of Torch Red and White. The theme of red and white continues throughout the interior with vinyl seats. * Rare Skyliner model with Glass Top and Curtain * 272 “......Y”...... block V-8 185 hp * T-Pot 4 Barrel Carburetor * Continental Kit * Wire wheel hub caps * Fender skirts * Bumper guards ESTIMATE: $40,000 - $55,000

1957 Lincoln Mark II

Lot #290S (Sale Order 89 of 143)

2 Door Hardtop Only 40,706 Actual Miles! Spectacular condition. One of only 444 produced. Fitted with EVERY option, including rare and desired factory air conditioning (1 of 98) and padded dash (very rare). We are proud to offer this museum quality Mark II to the most astute collector, investor or enthusiast who understands the rarity and investment potential of this great American motorcar. At this year’......s 2017 New York Auto Show, this car was displayed and made headlines. Photographers and writers flocked to it. Bloomberg.com listed and pictured it in their “......Best In Class”...... feature and gave it honor by naming it “......Class President”....... It went on to say “......It doesn't get classier than this vintage whip from Ford Motor's budding luxury brand.”...... It was also featured on the website of the prestigious Automobile Magazine and numerous other international publications. In addition, this was a feature car in the Saratoga Auto Museums Collection this summer. This timeless beauty is one of the last American cars to be handcrafted, discontinued partly because they were too expensive to manufacture. In 1957, there were only 444 built including power steering, brakes, windows including vent windows, power seats, AM Town & Country radio, power antenna and a self-regulating clock. Purchased new, it eclipsed even the Rolls Royce as it retailed for the whopping price tag of $10,000 at that time and was delivered in a fleece-lined canvas envelope to protect its finish while in transit. Even at that price, Ford lost $1,000 per vehicle. This Mark II is muscled by a 368 CI engine which was specially made, blue printed and balanced for this model and breathes via dual exhaust. It also includes a 3 Speed Automatic Transmission. The finest, butter soft, handcrafted “......Bridge of Weir”...... Scottish leather throughout the interior adds to the luxury of an already deluxe, smooth ride. John Reinhart was the chief stylist. Famed auto designer Gord Buehrig of the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Co. was chief body engineer and the man responsible for the stainless steel pipes and the long lower look. There have been three meticulous owners of this beauty. The most recent of which owned it for 27 years during which it was driven less than 5,000 miles. Maintained in like-new pristine condition for 60 years and remains immaculate with all gauges working. The recipient of numerous Best of Show awards in competitive arenas with up to 600 cars participating, she also won Third Place at Hershey. Maintained for years in as-new condition (with an open checkbook) by East Coast Restorations in Long Island, NY. This is truly one of the best that you can find. It’......s original owner, Edward Gaylord was a visionary and devoted auto enthusiast. He and his brother owned Gaylord Concept Cars, an outstanding industry automotive leader. Their company built leading-edge prototype automobiles for Detroit’......s Big 3. Other famous owners of the Continental include Elvis Presley, Elizabeth Taylor, President Dwight D. Eisenhower, Louis Prima, Barry Goldwater, Frank Sinatra, Nelson Rockefeller, Spike Jones and the Shah of Iran. This is one of the rarest of the 444 1957 Continental Mark II’......s built. Looking cool or going fast, the hot rodders’...... dilemma. For the owner of this roadster, there is no dilemma as the car is a winner in both categories. At the heart of the ’......33 is a GM Performance 502 making 450bhp and massive amounts of torque. This very strong engine is backed up with a Turbo 350, modified with a 3000 rpm stall converter. Gears are changed with a B&M shifter and the power then goes to a 9”...... Ford rear end equipped with 4:11 gears that turn oversize Hoosier tires on custom wheels. The wheelie bars on the back are an added touch that shows this a very serious street rod. Contemporary street rods with modern features (“......crate”...... engines, a.c., power steering and brakes, billet wheels and accessories, etc.) still strive for “......The Look”...... as it was in the early 1950s. 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air

1957 Chevrolet Bel Air

Lot #306S (Sale Order 105 of 143)

With its dramatic "jet age" styling, the 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air has become the styling icon of the 1950s in an era when the auto companies competed with annual dramatic styling changes and not on performance and mechanical improvements. The three year run of Chevy's full sized models began in 1955. By 1957, the Bel Air models had a wide front chrome grill with so called "Dagmar" rubber bumper guards. Distinctive body treatments with graceful sweeping chrome lines lead back to the most recognizable feature of the 1957 Bel Air, the sharp edged twin tailfins. The tailfins incorporated the taillight, stoplight, backup light and on the left side the gas filler. The hooded front headlights were set off by three gold anodized hash marks. The Bel Air models were also badged with anodized gold “......Bel Air”...... script on their tailfins. In keeping with the "jet age" styling, two rocket like chrome accents graced the hood. The 1957 models marked the end of a styling trend with GM going in a totally different style in 1958 with less than successful acceptance. Today the easily recognizable 1957 Bel Air has become one of the most sought after cars from the era. Properly restored and well maintained cars are highly desirable, particularly the convertibles. This 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air two-door convertible is a beautifully restored and lovingly maintained example with only 3776 miles since a meticulous restoration. The flawless paint is in the original factory Harbor Blue with the vinyl convertible top in Larkspur Blue. The chrome has been carefully restored to a high standard. A distinctive and valuable feature of this car is the continental kit for the spare tire. The immaculate interior is in the period correct two-tone blue vinyl. The vehicle features power windows, seats and top. The optional spinner hubcaps as well as the full fender skirts add to the look of this special convertible. Power comes from the legendary 283 cu. in. "small block" V-8 that puts out 220 horsepower. Two, four barrel Carter carburetor feeds the engine and features a, unusual Batwing air cleaners. The transmission is the popular 2-speed Powerglide automatic. This is a matching numbers car. 2002 Ford Thunderbird

Lot #310S (Sale Order 109 of 143)

The late 1990s and early 2000s are epitomized by a neo-retro trend in automotive design. Ford’......s 2002 Thunderbird modernized earlier styling concepts and created a futuristic interpretation of a popular past design. Looking to its 1957 predecessor, the 2002 was styled in bright 1950s colors, with cowled headlights, an eggcrate grille, a hood scoop, afterburner taillights and a two-seat configuration. Marketed as a “......personal luxury car”...... this 2002 T-Bird has a white porthole hard top. This absolutely stunning 2002 Ford Thunderbird Convertible with the removable hard-top. This car has just 3689 (three thousand six hundred eighty-nine) miles! It is absolutely flawless, inside and out. It is a one-owner car which came from a local collector with NO accident history and a clean CarFax. It is colored in Torch Red with the two-tone black and red leather interior. It looks awesome in this color combination. The hard-top is white and also in perfect shape without a single scratch. This car has been garaged throughout its entire life. It runs and drives absolutely as new. The chrome wheels are not marked and are not pitted. The tires have close to 100% of the tread remaining. The black power soft top goes up and down with ease. It is not faded, ripped, or marked. The rear window is clear. As far as the interior is concerned, it is spotless. The leather seats are not worn or marked. The carpets are clean and it has never been smoked in. If you are looking for the ultimate Thunderbird, THIS IS IT! It is, basically, a museum quality vehicle. 2004 Pontiac GTO 2004 Pontiac GTO

2004 Pontiac GTO

Lot #311S (Sale Order 110 of 143)

Once upon a time, GM’......s North America Chairman Bob Lutz read an article in CAR AND DRIVER about GM of Australia’......s Holden Commodore SS. CAR AND DRIVER thought it was the finest performance produced by GM. The magazine also deeply regretted the Commodore was not available in the US. This put the idea in Lutz’......s head he could make a 21st Century muscle car with little or no development costs quickly. Though the whole project would take longer and cost more than Lutz hoped, the first GTO since 1974 was introduced in 2004. The two door coupe was powered by the Corvette LS1 5.7 liter 350 hp V-8 that was connected to either a 4 speed automatic or 6 speed manual. The new GTO’......s top speed of 159 mph, 0-60 in 5.3 seconds, 0-100 in 13.1 seconds and a quarter mile time of 13.62 seconds made the new GTO worthy of its ancestors. The GTO offered for auction is all original. No mods have been added. It is offered in Bahama Blue (available only in 2004). The interior is black leather with bucket seats. This car is one of only 271 in Bahama Blue with a 6-speed manual. The 2004 GTO is a forgotten classic that will make a tremendous investment. * LS1 5.7 liter V-8 350 hp * 6-speed manual * Top end 159! ESTIMATE: $8,500 - $12,500

1954 MG TF 1954 MG TF

1954 MG TF

Lot #313S (Sale Order 112 of 143)

This is the opportunity to own a piece of sports car history and have fun on the open road again. The MG TF marked the end of MG’......s T series sports cars, which began before WWII. The T series, the TC and TD, are famous for having introduced Americans to driving light and nimble roadsters with good handling and some pep when compared to American sedans of the 1940s. The TF is a more modern looking car at three inches lower than the TD with a sloping grill and faired-in headlights resembling the look of a Morgan. At the time of its introduction in 1954 the TF seemed outdated compared to the full width bodywork of the Triumph TR 2 and the Austin Healey 100. In retrospect the TF is now seen as the best looking and most desirable of the T series MGs. This car is the standard two-seat TF roadster with the robust 1250cc 4-cylinder MG engine and 4-speed gearbox. It underwent a full restoration 10-years ago in Ontario and has only some 10-thousand miles since. It is a matching numbers car. Like MGs of the time this car runs well and is mechanically sound. Painted in an appropriate black, the roadster is set off by a beautiful red interior with red leather seats. It also comes with a new top. Further enhancing the look of this car are heavy-duty 60 spoke wire wheels. ESTIMATE: $30,000 - $40,000

1969 Jaguar E-Type 1969 Jaguar E-Type

1969 Jaguar E-Type

Lot #314S (Sale Order 113 of 143)

The Jaguar E-type is one of the most beautiful automobiles ever created, period. The Jaguar E-type is so striking that an example has been displayed at the New York City Museum of Modern Art. The E-type is a work of art and for that reason alone it is an incredibly collectable car and one that promises to only increase in value. The E-type debuted in 1961 and was a direct descendant of the famed “......D-type”...... Jags that won the demanding 24-hour race at LeMans 3 times. The E-types shared much of the same technology that made the D-type one of the most innovative racecars of the mid-50s. The E-types shared the same aircraft inspired approach to aerodynamics with the sleek curvy body only on a longer chassis. Today when so many cars look much the same, in 1969 there was the E-type and no other car with anything resembling such sophisticated styling. In fact, the E-type is still very much a head turner. The car was filled with fresh thinking for a road going sports car. The E-type used the same monocoque body structure as the D-type with a steel tub and a strong tubular front support frame covered by complex one-piece bonnet/front fenders over the straight six XK engine. The suspension was fully independent using torsion bars/coil springs with a limited slip differential. Four power-assisted disc brakes stopped the car. All this at the same time Ferrari was still using a solid rear axel and drum brakes. The E-type was, and still is, famed for it’......s handling and smooth ride. This roadster, also known as an “......OTS”...... for Open Two Seater, is an example of the Series II E-types with the larger 4.2-liter engine, so it represents a major and highly desirable refinement of the original 3.8-liter roadsters. This car was totally restored about 10-years ago, with keen attention to detail. The stunning and vibrant factory correct Signal Red paint is in excellent condition. The flawless interior features tan leather bucket seats and leather trim. One of the values of the 4.2 Series are the interior creature comforts not found on the Series 1. The Series II featured wider, more comfortable and supportive bucket seats. Another feature of this particular vehicle are the gleaming chrome wire wheels. As a later version this car has the styling cues mandated by US safety standards with wrap around bumpers front and back with more visible parking brake lights. A major complaint about the earlier cars was the headlight covers, which became fogged and dimmed the light. In the Series II the covers were removed and the headlights were raised so visibility as night is much improved. The front opening in the hood is wider to improve engine cooling. Also making this a more drivable car was a new, Jaguar designed, all synchromesh 4-speed gearbox, which replaced the unloved and difficult Moss gearbox. Power comes from the enlarged version of the smooth running inline six-cylinder XK engine now bored out to 4.2 liters and given a stronger crankshaft . This car has the more three of the more desirable SU carburetors but the original Stromberg carbs will be included with the car. This larger engine actually put out the same horsepower as the smaller 3.8 but had far more torque. With the SU carbs it can develop 265 HP and with its super smooth body can reach speeds close to 150 MPH. These cars were noted for their ability to cruise at high speeds. This car has exceptionally low mileage, only 5500 since restoration. The current owner has had the vehicle carefully maintained on a regular basis and driven it less than 2,000 rain free miles since purchase in 2008. He just installed a new electronic ignition system. An aluminum radiator is also included with the car. As might be expected from such a stunningly restored example of the Series II E-type this is a matching numbers car with full Jaguar Heritage documentation. ESTIMATE: $125,000 - $145,000

1951 MG TD

Lot #315S (Sale Order 114 of 143)

This beautiful 1951 MGTD was bought new from the MG dealer in Albany, NY. It changed hands when it was a few years old and was driven occasionally until 1961. It then slumbered in the back of an Albany garage for nearly 50 years. It was garage found by the Perry family and later acquired by Bob Ensign, well known in the region for his impeccable car restorations. This car was treated to new black paint, new tan interior, new tires, new top, new fuel tank, and much much more. This is the original color combination from the factory. Amazingly, the body was so good on the car that this TD retains all its original wood framework! The mechanicals have been fully gone through. The engine underwent an expensive and thorough rebuild with the help of local T-Series guru XXXXX( name to be gotten) which included upgraded front and rear seals which virtually eliminate oil leaking that was common with the 1250cc engine. Generator and voltage regulator underwent electronic internal rebuild and Pointless ignition was also installed. This Black/tan beauty has traveled less than 500 miles since even completion and is lovingly cared for by a British Car Enthusiast here in Saratoga Springs. ESTIMATE: $20,000 - $30,000

1967 Austin-Healey 3000 BJ8 MK III 1967 Austin-Healey 3000 BJ8 MK III

1967 Austin-Healey 3000 BJ8 MK III

Lot #316S (Sale Order 115 of 143)

Chassis # HBJ8L34367 A Well Kept Older Restoration Recently Serviced & Sorted Original Colors & Numbers Matching Offered With BMIHT Certificate Hailed as one of Britain's most famous sports cars, the Austin Healey has long deserved the recognition it gets today as an upstanding collector car. These little sports cars incorporate all of the right elements to bring back a real understanding of what fun was like behind the wheel in the 1960's. If it were not for Austin Healey's demise in 1968, there would certainly be a rather interesting contribution to today's contemporary sports cars. Since this is not the case, today we are left with just under 43,000 units produced in total between 1959-1967. Perhaps the most sought after, desired, refined, and best variants is the MK III or BJ8 as they are commonly referred to. These last production examples offered roll-up windows, weather tight and easy to use top, heater, front disc brakes and a finely crafted wood dash and other little accouterments that make a car so user friendly and enjoyable. As such, they remain at the top of the list for any serious sports car collector or enthusiast looking to rekindle their youth. The example on offer here is chassis number HBJ8L29131 fitted with engine number 29KRUH14259, showcasing a nicely kept older restoration. This particular Healey was restored in 1999 by the world class specialists at BRC of Philadelphia to concours level with every area of the car tended to. Currently, the early history of this car is not known but a British Motor Industry Heritage Trust Certificate has been requested and will provide more specifics as to the car's origins. Cosmetically, the red paint shows nicely and would best be described as driver quality; not perfect but very much presentable. Under close inspection one will notice a small chip that has been touched up and perhaps a light scratch here and there along with some signs of an aging restoration. However, it still holds an eye-catching shine and maintains an element of depth that would benefit from a good buff. Upon close inspection, there are some inconsistencies that should be noted which include some chipping around the front grill and door seams. All of the brightwork is again, presentable but showing signs of aging. For example, on the mouth of the front grill and bottom lip there are signs of flaking chrome that could warrant re-plating. The bumpers show some mild pitting as well as light surface scratching that could be remedied with a thorough polishing. The windshield frame has developed some moderate surface scratching, still presentable and consistent with the driver quality condition of the car. In addition, the 72 spoke, Dayton wire wheels do have some pitting but no severe flaws that would require immediate attention. The black soft top is in great shape, free of any tears, pulls, or flaws with the only item to note being a small area where several scratches have been incurred on the soft rear window. Nothing major but worth mentioning in the interest of full disclosure. The glass on the car is of driver quality with no significant scratches of chips. This example received a new black interior in 2005 and shows as such. The seats and door panels have not incurred any tears or cracks whatsoever and are in great shape. The door jams are presentable but have begun to reveal their age in some small areas as the paint has begun to fail around the hinges. However, this is consistent with an older restoration that has been enjoyed. The wooden dash face has held up well with the only inconsistency being a minor crack on the glove box door but nothing to quarrel over. The chrome gauge bezels have acquired some mild pitting but the gauges themselves show great and are fully operable. The dash is in great condition and shows nicely. It is to be noted that the Healey ‘......3000' badge located in front of the shifter base has been omitted and replaced with an aftermarket clarion radio. An inspection of the rugs will conclude that they do appear a bit used but do not possess any substantial stains or rips. Moving to the engine bay, it has a welcoming patina and retains several marks of correctness. The majority of the hoses, clamps, and mounts show as period correct and all components consistent with one another with evidence of regular maintenance. Make your way around to the trunk and one will find no issues with the spare wheel and jack present. The liner is in impeccable condition with no notable flaws, showing very well. The undercarriage of this example is very much in line with the quality of the rest of the car. It appears as structurally sound with the frame straight and true. There is no rust or evidence of any damage however, one item the underside would greatly benefit from is a proper steam cleaning. In terms of the mechanical condition of this example, it runs and drives adequately with no serious issues to be had. The engine fires without hassle and

This car is one of the small numbers of 355 Spiders produced with the F1 transmission using electrohydraulic manual paddles behind the steering wheel. Lot #321S (Sale Order 120 of 143)

This is a fun vehicle guaranteed to bring a smile to anyone who sees it on the road. Called a “......bubble car,”...... the most entertaining aspect is trying to get in or out with the entire door swinging out and the steering wheel moving to the side. BMW bought the Isetta from the original Italian manufacturer to have a low priced model while trying to recover financially from the war. This proved a brilliant move and some 200,000 Isettas were built over an 8-year period. This 1960 model is powered by a 582 cc two cylinder BMW engine with 19.5 HP so performance might be called “......zippy”...... and it is still fuel efficient! This car has been stored in the Champlain Valley transportation museum for the last 8 years. The brakes have been rebuilt recently and the fuel system has been flushed. 1976 Mercedes-Benz 450 SL

Lot #325S (Sale Order 124 of 143)

Mercedes Benz has long produced stylish, performance-oriented convertibles along side its luxury sedans. From 1972 until 1989 the SL standard bearer was the 350/450, a remarkable run but testimony to its popularity. Based on the car’......s 4.5 liter V8 it became badged as a 450SL in 1973. By the year of this car power had been reduced to 180 HP thanks to emissions controls and at the same it received continuous fuel injection and a transistorized ignition. Mechanically this car is in very good condition and drives well. It was a daily summer driver until recently. The car shows 97,000 miles. This Mercedes has an upgraded sound system with CD player and nearly new tires. The exterior is white exterior with a blue interior. The convertible top looks to be almost new. The exterior was repainted at some point, probably when the floor pans were replaced and some bodywork done. Paint looks good with only minor blemishes. This car is a car to be driven and enjoyed daily. ESTIMATE: $10,000 - $15,000

1967 Volkswagen Beetle Deluxe Sedan Sunroof 1967 Volkswagen Beetle Deluxe Sedan Sunroof

1967 Volkswagen Beetle Deluxe Sedan Sunroof

Lot #326S (Sale Order 125 of 143)

This beautifully restored, "numbers matching, 1967 beetle, in original Savannah Beige, red interior, beige carpet with only 60K miles garners a "two thumbs up" and glowing comments wherever it goes. It is totally original in nearly every respect, with exception of the 2" lowered front end, front disc brakes and sporty 5-lug chrome wheels. The paint is in overall excellent condition, as is the car's interior and undercarriage. The engine, its' associated components and compartment are immaculate, as is the trunk. All gauges, lights, wipers, etc. are in good working order. The car runs, handles and stops with no issues and is a pleasure to drive. The sunroof is in good working order with no leaks, but the seal's cloth covering has deteriorated. All gauges, lights and wipers are in good working order. The 1500 cc engine and 4-speed floor shift transmission provides very peppy, acceleration. This is a fun car to drive, maneuvers well, and will cruise easily at 60-65 mph on the open road. The 1967 VW Beetle is one of the most sought after VW's, as a "one-year-only" production, especially with the optional sunroof. It is also notable that 1967 was the last year for the unique tubular style front and rear bumpers with guards. The car comes equipped with the original spare tire and four hubcaps, as well as the original jack and tool kit. This car won a Favorite 40 at the annual Adirondack Car Enthusiasts "Under The Lights" show in Hudson Falls, August of 2014. ESTIMATE: $10,000 - $17,500

1991 Jaguar XJS 1991 Jaguar XJS

1991 Jaguar XJS

Lot #327S (Sale Order 126 of 143)

In 1975 Jaguar ended production of the iconic E-type sports car in part because it could not meet USA crash safety standards. The replacement was a totally different approach and certainly not a traditional sports car. The XJ-S was instead a high speed, luxury touring car that remained in production for some 20-years. This car is an example of the 1991 version of the XJS with the V12 SOHC 24V 5.3-liter engine. The transmission is an automatic. A convertible 2-door, the car is a silver/champagne color with a black cloth top. The leather seats are a light tan color and in good condition. Current mileage is 49,800. The present owner says the car runs well and is in good shape. It has been stored inside. Top, radio and air-conditioning all work. While the value of E-type Jaguars has climbed dramatically in recent years the XJS remains a reasonably priced opportunity to own a high performance car from a coveted marque. 1989 Jaguar XJS 1989 Jaguar XJS

1989 Jaguar XJS

Lot #329S (Sale Order 128 of 143)

When Jaguar decided to replace the iconic and highly successful E-type sports car they also decided to go in a very different direction. The replacement was the XJS. This was a powerful high-speed touring car built for cruising comfort and luxury introduced in 1975. The XJS was to remain in production for 21 years thanks to constant improvements and an appreciation for what it offered. Technically this is a 1989 ½... version because of those constant upgrades. What is important is that this is a low mileage original car at 27,400 miles and best described as a “......survivor”...... that has been maintained to the highest level of attention. In fact, well know Jaguar expert Brian Donovan has looked after this car over the years. It is also a beautiful example with the original British Racing Green paint and biscuit colored Connolly leather interior, bucket seats and wood trim. The steering wheel is a rare Momo model wood rim with a Jaguar emblem in the center. The handsome wheels are from BBS. Another attractive feature is added the luggage rack. The owner has also made some improvements using oil resistant polyurethane in place of the rubber fittings and replacing the battery with an Optima “......yellowtop.”...... Of course the car has been stored in a heated garage The fuel injected V12 5.3 Liter engine delivers over 265 HP through a 3-speed automatic transmission. In keeping with its luxury status the car includes factory air conditioning, power windows, power steering and power brakes. The Jaguar XJS is in the process of being “......discovered”...... by Jaguar enthusiasts and this is a spectacular example. ESTIMATE: $15,000 - $25,000

1974 Triumph TR6 1974 Triumph TR6

1974 Triumph TR6

Lot #331S (Sale Order 130 of 143)

The TR-6 was the last in the line of Triumph sports cars dating back to the original TR-1 of 1950. With a 4 cylinder engine and rudimentary weather protection, the original TRs were rather spartan sports cars. TR-6, with its Karmann designed body, independent rear suspension, roll up windows, and smooth 2.5 liter 6 cylinder engine was much more comfortable and practical, but still drove like a classic British sports car. The burgundy exterior of this 1974 TR-6 is complimented by its Moto-Lita steering wheel, black leather interior, chrome wire wheels, and mellow sounding stainless steel exhaust. Other mechanical improvements include a reliable Pertronix electrical upgrade, K&N air filters, new brake lines, and a new water pump with new belts and hoses. So, drop the black vinyl top and enjoy adding a few more sunny miles to the low 82,500 that the car has been driven in the past few decades. ESTIMATE: $15,000 - $25,000

Lot #335S (Sale Order 134 of 143)

Here is the former owners history of this beautiful Metallic Green Ranchero, the picture doesn’......t do this car justice. “......This car was bought new in Washington and kept in a garage for 36 years. The car was kept inside for winter. when I brought it down i had it completely checked out by professional shop “......4 Star Auto”...... in South San Francisco Ca. I made it road worthy bringing everything up to date. My intentions were to keep this car for along time until I found a 1972 ranchero that I bought from the original owner 6 months later so now I needed to sell this one. The only flaws in this car are 2 nicks in windshield near rearview out of line of sight. 2 cracks in the dash smaller then a dime on passenger side. The bed is scuffed up some but does not leak into cab. the odometer was not connected when i got it but works now. it shows 75,000 and change. ESTIMATE: $12,500 - $17,500
