- The subject of restoration work within the last three years including a bare metal respray, engine detailing, new carpets and a new hood - Supplied with historic registration documents, MoT's, original handbook and registration number We are indebted to the vendor for the following description: "The Vitesse was a much underrated motor car of its period with a very sporty 2.0 litre engine and fairly light bodywork. Triumph had produced a surprisingly quick car and in earlier advertising her immediate predecessor was described as "The Two Seater Beater" by Triumph Standard Ltd. The 95 bhp engine endowed the Vitesse with a top speed of 100 mph and with styling created by Giovanni Michelotti, it gave something very different to what the motoring public had been used to in the mid-1960s. The Vitesse on sale here was first registered on the 30th of March 1967 and left the factory as a saloon which the chassis number suffix (DL) clearly shows and is one of the 10,830 built during the 1966 to 1968 production period. Details of the early years are unknown but sometime in the late 1970's or early 1980's she was the subject of a conversion from a saloon to a convertible as so many Vitesse were at that time, possibly because of their inbuilt "sporty" character. We believe the conversion was carried out in a very professional manner as the two following owners kept the car for over 10 years each and one in particular had professional insurance valuations carried out each year by the Triumph Six Motor Club (copies available on file). Re-discovered in 2013 somewhat down in the mouth but structurally still very sound the current owner set about giving her a new lease of life and had her subjected to a bare metal respray with all mechanicals inspected and new carpets fitted along with a bespoke new hood. Supplied with copies of previous registration documents and all MoT's from 1983 along with original handbook and registration number."

1972 Jaguar XJ6

- Two owners from new - Upgraded with 4.2-litre engine and manual o/drive gearbox - Offered with extensive history including MOTs, service book and schedules, Jaguar correspondence, invoices, original tool kit, etc. We are indebted to the vendor for the following description: "Originally purchased from Lex Mead Cardiff on 11th July 1972 as a 2.8 manual complete with the following extras: heated rear window, Sundym Glass, Inertia seat belts and Endrust treatment. It was bought for the princely sum of £2,853.94. The car has had 2 former keepers. Original ownership was from 1972 to 2000. The second owner had the car from 2000 until earlier this year. All the MOT's, original service books, service schedules, fabulous Jaguar correspondence and every invoice/receipt are supplied with the car. On reading the details it appears, as was common with 2.8 units that the original engine failed. Jaguar replaced the engine and it failed again so in 1986 when the car had done just under 40,000 miles Jaguar replaced the engine once and for all with a brand new 4.2 unit. The brakes were upgraded to 4.2 format complete with paperwork supporting the upgrade. The car has been kept in a heated garage for most of its life and hence its condition. The current owner has carried out additional work after procuring the car earlier this year. The paint was flattened back and any remedial repairs undertaken, the bodywork was deemed to be in excellent so repairs were minimal. The respray was executed using the correct original specification Warwick Grey paint and the wheels refurbished in the appropriate colour. The interior has been leather restored however there remains a small split in the driver door handle which could easily be repaired. The vendor states that all the work was carried out professionally to a very high standard. The engine has only done 17,000 miles since it was fitted and deemed excellent by the vendor. The carburettors have been stripped and cleaned along with the fuel lines and tanks, the two fuel pumps and filters have been replaced for new items. The water pump was replaced, new hoses fitted where required and the radiator flushed, the car has also received black 'waxoyle' treatment to the underside. The steering rack was replaced with a brand new genuine Jaguar unit as too was the front cross member. We refurbished the exhaust system which is 'twin stainless' apart from the down. The car still also contains the original Jaguar Tool Kit. The car has just been MOT'd, said by the vendor to run and drive superbly. There are very few faults, the boot floor cover is original but has some wear marks and the tacho is a little temperamental. This car is extremely rare as it is a 4.2 MOD, with a low warranted mileage on a 17,000 mile from new engine with every bit of paperwork. Described by the vendor as a genuinely fabulous car."

- Understood to have covered c.57,500 miles from new (but showing c.33,000) - Reportedly in 'well cared for' and 'original, unrestored condition' - Highly collectible (1 of 1,038 made) and MOT'd till Nov 2017 Ford billed the Capri as 'The car you always promised yourself' and, happily for the Blue Oval, some 1.9 million customers agreed and bought one during the production years of 1974 to 1986. Worthwhile improvements came with the 1974 MKII models and the 1978 quadruple headlamp MKIII cars. Then in 1981 the 3-litre Essex-engined variants were dropped in favour of a new 2.8 Injection version. Power rose to 160bhp and torque to 162 lb ft, giving Ford a stylish four-seat Coupe with performance capable of shaming rivals of four times the cost. The original plan for the run-out of this European 'pony car' was to build 500 turbo examples with the assistance of independent specialist Turbo Technics. However, that didn't square with the 1,038 chassis still needing homes, so the ultimate decision was to christen them 'Capri 280' and equip each one with Brooklands Green paintwork, Red-piped Raven Black interior trim and 15inch alloy seven-spoke wheels. Around 10 percent of purchasers opted for the turbo conversion, while the remaining cars were normally aspirated. Even in unturbocharged form the performance was brisk, with 60mph available in 7.8 seconds and a top speed of 130mph. People who purchase Brooklands Capris tend to acknowledge them as something pretty special and treat them accordingly, so most remaining specimens are in pretty good order. That would certainly seem to be the case with 'E270 UYD', which has had six owners from new but is in clearly splendid unrestored condition, such that the vendor presently classes the bodywork, paintwork, interior trim, engine and transmission as being in 'excellent' condition. This fine Ford is now being offered complete with paperwork in support of the total mileage travelled, which stands at c.57,500. - Rare right hand drive Roadster imported from Sydney Australia, and UK registered in April 1993 - Described as being in unrestored condition and possibly "requires light cosmetic restoration at the new owners discretion" - One recorded UK owner and in storage from 2010, and reportedly recently serviced and "all operational" This rare two-seater roadster version of a Dodge Brothers is believed to have been sold new in Australia, hence its right hand drive steering configuration. The vendor informs us that it was imported to England from Sydney, Australia, and first registered here in April 1993. Showing just one recorded UK keeper on the V5C, the car was acquired by our vendor from the recorded keeper in December 2015 and has shared heated garage space with a few other veteran and vintage cars since. Reportedly this is "one of the first cars to feature a 12 volt electrical system and starts on the button". Apparently the car was exhibited regularly at shows until 2010 when poor health meant it was stored until our vendor acquired it. We have been informed that since being brought out of storage the car has been serviced and is now "all operational". Described by the vendor as being in "good" to "very good" condition in regards to the bodywork, engine, electrical equipment, gearbox, and interior trim, with the paintwork being described as "average". The car still has its Sydney dealers badge on the dashboard and is supplied with a mechanics hand book.

- Sold new and first registered to a lady in Jersey, Channel Islands, in October 1965, and showing just 35,000 miles on the odometer - Imported into England in 1993 and only two recorded keepers since - Restored in the early 1990's, engine and gearbox rejuvenated in 2004, and repainted again in 2016 This wonderfully coloured Daimler V8 250 was first registered in Jersey in October 1965 as J53, latterly changing to J14907 at some point, all according to the Certificate of Origin on file from April 1993. It is unknown how long the lady first owner retained the car, but in May 1993 it was registered to a lady in Chippenham, Wiltshire. The last recorded change of ownership occurred in December 2000 when the car was registered to a gentleman in Eastleigh, Hampshire. Before the car ventured to England, dated photographs reveal the car was comprehensively restored in the early 1990's, and our vendor informs us that the car received more restorative work including a "glass-out repaint in September 2016 by a multi-award winning bodyshop in London". Between these occasions, invoices from 2004 in the superbly presented history folder show the engine having received significant repairs (pistons, re-ground crank-shaft, new bearings, and de-coke and re-face of the cylinder heads), and also a "full rebuild to Borg Warner 35" in relation to the automatic gearbox. The odometer shows just over 35,000 miles and the vendor believes this is all the car has covered from new due to it remaining in Jersey for 28 years, plus the quantity of previous MOT certificates on file. Described by the vendor as being in "very good" condition with regards to its body and paint work, engine, transmission, and electrical equipment, with a "good" red leather interior.

PLEASE NOTE: There is nothing in the 'Special Notes' section of this Elan's accompanying V5C Registration Document about the carburettor fire that it suffered during 2001. The fire saw it classified as a Category B Insurance Loss on 27th August 2001 with the following note: 'Bodyshell should have been crushed. Vehicle should not be on the road'. The original bodyshell was replaced with a strengthened reproduction one supplied by marque specialist Boss Motors as part of the 'chassis up' restoration that the Lotus underwent from 2012-2016. 'GEV 11H' was issued with a fresh, 'no advisories' MOT certificate on February 14th 2017. - Sold from Lotus on 22/10/1969 to Len Street Engineering - Treated to a chassis up restoration including new bodyshell from 2012-2016 - £11,000+ in bills from Mick Miller, Paul Matty and Vincent Haydon but most labour done in-house Reputedly 1 of just 1,148 Elan S4s dispatched by Lotus in 1969, this particular Drophead Coupe example - chassis number 45/9463 - was registered to its previous keeper from 1980 until entering the current ownership some six years ago. Laid-up following a carburettor fire during 2001 which also saw it become the subject of an insurance total loss payment, the two-seater was treated to an extensive restoration from 2012-2016. Bills on file total over £11,000 despite the fact that the vendor and his brother undertook much of the associated labour themselves. An original Lotus component, the chassis was found to be remarkably sound but nonetheless galvanised for longevity purposes. Sourced from marque specialist Boss Motors along with an o/s door and o/s headlamp pod, the replacement Drophead Coupe bodyshell boasts a specially reinforced windscreen surround and sundry other strengthening. Fitted with a 'hotter' camshaft than standard, the 1.6 litre twin-cam engine also benefited from a reconditioned water pump, refurbished cylinder head and professionally overhauled Stromberg carburettors (by Gower & Lee £508.80) etc. The interior trim was renewed as was the hood. The seats currently fitted are from a Toyota MR2 because they allow a taller driver to be accommodated but the original Lotus items can be collected by the successful purchaser. Starting readily upon inspection, 'GEV 11H' is said to go and handle with all the aplomb typical of an Elan and is only being offered for sale due to the arrival of a new project. It is accompanied by copy photos of the restoration from a bare chassis upwards not to mention numerous invoices from the likes of Mick Miller Classic Lotus, Paul Matty Sportscars and Vincent Haydon Classic Lotus Cars.

Once Maroon in colour, it is these days finished in Red and trimmed in Beige leather that's teamed with Beige carpets. According to the V5C, the Jaguar has only had four keepers to date, the most recent of whom has retained it since 1988, and for some years used it for club runs etc. He informs us that the clutch and bell-housing were replaced in 1990 and that the nearside door sills have been refurbished and the engine overhauled in 2002. More recent activity has included the overhauling of the brake system, and replacement of the petrol tank, roof lining, carpets and front door cards. The vendor now views the Jaguar's bodywork and XK engine as 'very good' and the paintwork, interior trim and four-speed manual transmission with overdrive as 'good'. 'CBX 714C' is being sold complete with history file and heritage certificate.
