1940 Austin 12/16hp Saloon 1940 Austin 12/16hp Saloon

1940 Austin 12/16hp Saloon

Lot #1 (Sale Order 1 of 92)

This very smartly presented Austin 12 is understood to have been a prototype for the largely identical 16hp model introduced immediately post-war, and therefore has the larger 2.2-litre engine (the first OHV unit to be fitted by Austin) and improved four-speed manual gearbox. It boasts an interesting history, having been initially employed as a Royal Navy staff car aboard HMS Implacable and HMS Indomitable, as which it travelled to the Far East, Australia and New Zealand. Wearing its original registration, 'SSV 586', it apparently starred in a number of films and TV series during the early 1990s and has been in the current ownership since 2009. A nut and bolt restoration was undertaken between 2010 and 2012 and the vendor now grades the big Austin's bodywork, Green paintwork, Tan interior trim, and four-cylinder engine as all being in 'excellent' order. A splendid example of a relatively rare breed.

Currently showing an unwarranted 65,500 miles, '421 AOW' is now in need of a suitably caring new home and is being offered complete with an MOT valid to June 7 next year. 1961 Ford Consul Classic De Luxe 1961 Ford Consul Classic De Luxe

1961 Ford Consul Classic De Luxe

Lot #3 (Sale Order 3 of 92)

- Featured in the July 2016 issue of Classic Ford Magazine - In current 'club member' ownership since 1997 - Only used for local car shows and MOT'd until April 2017 As is obvious to the eye, Dearborn had a heavy influence on the styling of the Consul Classic (aka Consul 315 and Ford 109E). It was only offered between 1961 and 1963 (during which time just 111,225 were made) and came with two or four doors and Standard or De Luxe trim. Power for the earlier models was supplied by a 1340cc version of the 'Kent' engine. This gorgeous four-owner, four-door De Luxe example has a column change gearbox, is finished in Ermine White over Caribbean Turquoise, and was delivered new by Hanger Motors of Birmingham in October 1961. It's been in the current 'club member' ownership since 1997 and was restored about 14 years ago, since when it's been used for local car shows and featured in the July 2016 issue of Classic Ford. Considered by the vendor as 'very good' throughout, it comes with MOT to April 30, 2017. A rare opportunity.

2013 Renault Twizy Technic 2013 Renault Twizy Technic

2013 Renault Twizy Technic

Lot #4 (Sale Order 4 of 92)

PLEASE NOTE: This lot does not have a MOT certificate. It appears to be fitted with a discharged battery pack the rental agreement for which expired after three years in August 2016. The digital odometer seems to show 41.0 miles. - One owner from new, larger 13KW electric motor, Sky Roof, Scissor Doors and Twizy Windows Trying to drive one of these open-wheel electro-pods without grinning is a bigger challenge than stretching the range above 50 miles. It gets looks wherever it goes - even from the cynical, hurried British motorist, and it's not the sort of sneering jibes that something else with scissor doors (Lamborghini Aventador, anyone?) might attract. Children point, white van men beep cheerfully, and elderly drivers double take like H.G. Wells' extra-terrestrial invasion has made landfall in Cambridgeshire' (CAR magazine, Ollie Kew, December 2013). Offered for sale with clear title by order of the High Court, this particular example has formed part of an extensive London-based private collection since new. Purchased from Renault London West for £8,920, its specification included the larger 13KW electric motor, a Sky Roof, scissor doors, Parrot Bluetooth and Twizy windows. An HPi check reveals that (a) the Renault has had no former keepers and (b) it is not recorded on their stolen, finance, security watch or insurance write off databases. As with any Twizy, you could buy the vehicle itself from Renault but only lease its battery pack. As such, the next owner will have to enter into a new rental agreement with the manufacturer in order to make T5 AAA' mobile again.

2006 Bentley Arnage RL 2006 Bentley Arnage RL

2006 Bentley Arnage RL

Lot #5 (Sale Order 5 of 92)

PLEASE NOTE: This lot possesses a MOT certificate valid until 30th November 2017. - One former keeper and 4,800 recorded miles - 1 of just 383 'Arnage RL by Bentley Mulliner' cars (each of which was built to special order) 'Launched in 2001, the Arnage RL is the culmination of world-class coachbuilding that spans generations. It is a car that takes personalisation to a new level, where the vehicle is a canvas on which you can paint your vision. With its extended wheelbase, 2 inches (50mm) to the front and 8 inches (200mm) to the rear compartment, the RL retains the classic Arnage profile whilst offering even more palatial comfort for the passengers. But make no mistake; this is a car to drive. The turbocharged 6.75-litre V8 engine, harnessed by a highly engaging automatic gearbox, makes this an experience impossible to miss. The Arnage RL gave its owners the opportunity to realise virtually anything imaginable - all designed and handcrafted by the most skilled automotive artisans in the world. These are people who understand not only the heritage of Bentley, but also the pleasures of luxury in a contemporary world. From fashioners of burnished walnut and fine hides to the audio experts who can turn the interior of a Bentley into a concert hall, to specialists who can bring the cinema or television to the rear seat' (Bentley Motors). Just 383 examples of the 'Arnage RL by Bentley Mulliner' (to give the model its full title) were handbuilt from 2001 - 2011. None were to standard specification because each one was personalised according to the whim and taste of its first owner. With a clientele that included heads of state, A-list celebrities and the mega wealthy, the Crewe firm sought to ensure that its flagship four-door saloon / limousine could offer an unrivalled interior ambience. As well as a 250mm wheelbase (though, 450mm and 728mm stretches were available too), the Arnage RL gained uprated brake and suspension systems. Powered by a thoroughly revised, twin-turbocharged version of Bentley's iconic 6.75-litre V8 engine allied to automatic transmission, it was reputedly capable of 0-60mph in 6.2 seconds and 155mph (unless armoured to B6 specification, a c.£250,000 option!) Less ostentatious than a Rolls-Royce Phantom but in many ways no less beguiling to be chauffeured around in, any Arnage RL remains a very special motor car. Offered for sale with clear title by order of the High Court, this particular example has formed part of an extensive London-based private collection since 9th February 2012 when it was purchased from Rolls-Royce Motor Cars London for £75,000. Finished in Dark Sapphire Pearl with Cream leather upholstery and Dark Blue carpets, 'X19 AAA' wears Jack Barclay number plates. An HPi check reveals that (a) the Bentley has had one former keeper and (b) it is not recorded on their stolen, finance, security watch or insurance write off databases. While a UK Government Vehicle MOT History search shows that the Arnage RL was MOT tested at 3,317 (4/6/2010), 3,377 (24/6/2011), 4,206 (5/4/2012), 4,334 (5/3/2013), 4,365 (28/3/2014) and 4,566 (31/3/2015) miles. Now displaying some 4,800 miles to its odometer, this bespoke luxury saloon will hopefully possess a fresh MOT certificate by the time of sale. Offered for sale with owner's handbook, service handbook (recording services at 1,351, 4,172, 4,334 and 4,362 miles), Rolls-Royce Used Vehicle Proforma Invoice, quick reference guides and sundry Jack Barclay invoices.

1987 Desande Caprice 1987 Desande Caprice

1987 Desande Caprice

Lot #6 (Sale Order 6 of 92)

PLEASE NOTE: This lot possesses a MOT certificate valid until 14th March 2017. PLEASE NOTE: This lot is accompanied by an older type V5C Registration Document (Blue). - Part of an extensive London-based private collection since 2002 - Chevrolet V8 engine, automatic transmission, power assisted steering, air-conditioning - Reputedly 1 of just 250 made Introduced at the Geneva Salon in 1980, the Desande Caprice was the brainchild of Belgian designer Danny G. Vandezande (hence Desande). Inspired by Mercedes-Benz's 500K / 540K Roadsters, the newcomer was based around a separate chassis equipped with independent front suspension, disc / drum brakes and power assisted steering. Featuring a choice of Ford or Chevrolet V8 engines allied to automatic transmission, the two-seater sported a wooden dashboard / door cappings, snug fitting hood, air-conditioning and leather upholstery. Bodied and trimmed by Grand Prix Metalcraft Ltd of London because Mr Vandezande opined that England was the only place where "the skills to build a classic car conforming to modern standards were sufficiently available", a limited production run of 250 cars was initially envisaged (though, how many Caprice Roadsters were actually built is unknown). Offered for sale with clear title by order of the High Court, this particular example has formed part of an extensive London-based private collection since 6th June 2002. Finished in Red over White with Red leather upholstery and a Tan hood, an HPi check reveals that (a) the Desande has had four former keepers and (b) it is not recorded on their stolen, finance, security watch or insurance write off databases. Accompanying invoices show that over the past fourteen years 'D19 AAA' has been treated to a refurbished radiator, new gearbox / back axle gaskets and replacement shock absorbers (2002), new fuse boxes (2005), refurbished Holley carburettor (2012), fresh starter motor / alternator / torsion bar rubbers / engine mounts (2013) and a brake system overhaul (2013). Seemingly last serviced by The Chelsea Workshop at an unwarranted 8,247 miles in July 2013 (c.200 miles ago), this eye-catching, Chevy-powered retro pastiche Roadster will hopefully possess a fresh MOT certificate by the time of sale.

1951 Rolls-Royce Silver Dawn 1951 Rolls-Royce Silver Dawn

1951 Rolls-Royce Silver Dawn

Lot #7 (Sale Order 7 of 92)

Unveiled in 1949, the Silver Dawn had the distinction of being the first Rolls-Royce to wear standard steel coachwork. Visually and mechanically indebted to its Bentley MKVI stablemate, the newcomer was powered by a 4257cc straight-six engine allied to four-speed manual transmission. Capable of over 90mph, the luxuriously appointed four-door saloon gained a larger 4566cc powerplant during 1951 and the option of four-speed automatic transmission the following year. Suspension was independent at the front and by live axle on semi-elliptic leaves at the rear. Braking was by servo-assisted drums all-round. A total of just 761 Silver Dawns had been manufactured by the time the model was supplanted by the Silver Cloud. Offered for sale with clear title by order of the High Court, this particular example has formed part of an extensive London-based private collection since 10th April 1989. Understood to be one of just 170 4.25-litre Silver Dawns made, chassis SFC 82 was delivered new to J. Plunkett Esq. during November 1951. Completed over four decades later, a handwritten valuation form on file claims that The engine, gearbox, rear axle, suspension and brakes have all been overhauled . . . Vehicle has one owner from new and then myself . . . During the course of nine years it cost me over £39,000 just to restore the car with original parts'. Accompanying invoices and estimates suggest that The Bentley Service Centre of Nine Elms and The Chelsea Workshop undertook at least part of the refurbishment. Starting readily upon inspection, the Silver Dawn's last major service (a 24,000 miles C' schedule one) appears to have been carried out by The Chelsea Workshop at a cost of £6,102.42 during May 2013 (less than 200 miles ago). An HPi check reveals that the Silver Dawn is not recorded on their stolen, finance, security watch or insurance write off databases.

2003 Rolls-Royce Phantom 2003 Rolls-Royce Phantom

2003 Rolls-Royce Phantom

Lot #8 (Sale Order 8 of 92)

PLEASE NOTE: This lot possesses a MOT certificate valid until 30th November 2017. PLEASE NOTE: This lot is not accompanied by a V5C Registration Document. The new owner will have to apply for a replacement one by completing a V62 form and submitting it to the DVLA together with a fee of £25. - One former keeper and 5,100 recorded miles - Dates from the first year of production (300 sales) and would have had a basic list price of £250,000 'Luxury cars abound, but there's only one Rolls. And whatever one might think about the national origins of the new stewards, they seem to understand their mission. The new Phantom (the seventh generation of the name) has the craftsmanship, comfort, presence, and prestige of its predecessors. Call it tradition made modern' (Tony Swan, Car and Driver, May 2003) Less than five years after acquiring what is arguably the world's most famous luxury car marque, the BMW Group had not only engineered a brand new Rolls-Royce flagship but also erected a state-of-the-art production facility on the Goodwood Estate within which to assemble it. Launched on January 1st 2003, the seventh generation Phantom marked a technological step change from its predecessors yet was still unmistakably a Rolls-Royce. Based around a hand-welded extruded aluminium spaceframe chassis clothed with aluminium and composite panels, the newcomer featured a highly sophisticated independent air suspension system mounted on steel subframes (double wishbone front / multi-link rear) as well as speed-sensitive power assisted steering and massive four-wheel disc brakes. Developing some seventy-five percent of its peak torque at just 1,000rpm, the bespoke 6.75 litre V12 was eerily refined. Quoted as developing some 453bhp and 531lbft of torque and allied to six-speed automatic transmission, it gave the luxury saloon an improbable turn of speed with contemporary road testers achieving 0-60mph in 5.7 seconds and 149mph. Initially contentious, the Phantom's bold styling lent it a road presence that rivals simply could not match. Although, reviewers devoted almost as much ink to its rear-hinged 'coach' doors, discretely-mounted Teflon-coated umbrellas and matchless interior. Put simply BMW re-defined the luxury car market with its first 'clean sheet' Rolls-Royce design. While labelling any car as 'the best in the world' is these days deemed anachronistic, our American cousins did hail the new Phantom as 'The King of Cars'. Offered for sale with clear title by order of the High Court, this particular example has formed part of an extensive London-based private collection since 9th December 2011 when it was purchased from Rolls-Royce Motor Cars London for £96,000. Showing a warranted 3,593 miles at the time, the Phantom has since been serviced at 4,239 miles (3/10/13) and 4,688 miles (9/1/15). Finished in Light Metallic Blue with Beige leather upholstery, 'M50 RRR' was entrusted to Jack Barclay for the addition of highlighting coachlines at a cost of £2,160 on 20th December 2011. An HPi check reveals that (a) the Phantom has had one former keeper and (b) it is not recorded on their stolen, finance, security watch or insurance write off databases. While a UK Government Vehicle MOT History search shows that the Rolls-Royce has been MOT tested at 2,417 (14/11/2006), 2,484 (13/2/2007), 2,875 (24/10/2007), 3,025 (5/11/2008), 3,113 (28/10/2009), 3,548 (2/11/2010), 3,579 (17/10/2011), 3,580 (18/10/2011), 3,889 (31/10/2012), 4,279 (30/10/2013), 4,639 (7/11/2014) and 5,052 (30/10/2015) miles. 2012 Bentley Mulsanne 2012 Bentley Mulsanne

2012 Bentley Mulsanne

Lot #9 (Sale Order 9 of 92)

PLEASE NOTE: This lot possesses a MOT certificate valid until 1st December 2017 and now shows some 2,900 miles to its odometer. - One owner from new and 2,400 recorded miles - Supplied by Jack Barclay and part of an extensive London-based collection 'The Mulsanne offers the owner-driver a truly enjoyable experience at the wheel. Most owners of this kind of car will prioritise refinement over driver appeal, so we must mark the Mulsanne down. But if your taste is for a sporting drive whatever type of car it comes in, the Mulsanne could well be the best luxury saloon in the world' (Autocar Magazine, Matt Prior) Hailed as the first 'clean sheet' Bentley design in eighty years (as opposed to a Rolls-Royce or Volkswagen dictated one), the Mulsanne was launched at the world famous Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance in 2009 where one determined enthusiast bid $550,000 for the privilege of owning the first customer car. Massively engineered, the newcomer utilised a brand new chassis that featured all-round independent air suspension (double wishbone front / multi-link rear), vented four-wheel disc brakes (complete with ABS), Drive Dynamics Control (incorporating Comfort, Sport and Bentley modes) and speed sensitive power assisted steering. Accounting for some thirty hours of the six to nine weeks it takes to build each Mulsanne, its 6.75 litre OHV twin-turbocharged V8 was credited with developing 505bhp and 752lbft of torque. Allied to eight-speed ZF automatic transmission, the mighty powerplant enabled the 2585kg luxury four-door saloon to accelerate from 0-60mph in 5.1 seconds and onto 184mph. The opportunities to appreciate such performance on today's roads are few and far between. Thankfully, the same cannot be said of the Mulsanne's exterior and interior finishes with Bentley giving customers the choice of 114 paint colours, 21 carpet hues, 9 wood veneers, plus 24 interior leather hide shades as standard. Although, ticking too many options boxes quickly raised the £225,000 base price to over £300,000. In many ways an anachronism when compared to its lighter, more efficient four-wheel drive Bentley siblings, the rear-wheel drive Mulsanne remains unapologetically British and all the better for it. Offered for sale with clear title by order of the High Court, this particular example has formed part of an extensive London-based private collection since it was purchased from Jack Barclay as an ex-demonstrator for £229,000. First registered on 29th March 2012 and finished in Tungsten over Moonbeam with Anthracite-piped Linen hide upholstery, 'LJ12 BCO' was built with a rear view camera, six-disc CD player, ambient interior mood lighting, adaptive cruise control, NAIM stereo, seat ventilation, jewel fuel filler cap, 3D retractable Flying 'B' mascot, embroidered Bentley emblems and polished 21in Classic alloy wheels. An HPi check reveals that (a) the Bentley has had no former keepers and (b) it is not recorded on their stolen, finance, security watch or insurance write off databases. While a UK Government Vehicle MOT History search shows that the luxury saloon was first MOT tested at 2,317 miles on 27th March 2015. Now displaying some 2,400 miles to its odometer, this imposing Mulsanne will hopefully possess a fresh MOT certificate by the time of sale. Offered for sale with owner's handbook, service handbook (recording services at 782 and 1,853 miles), Jack Barclay New Vehicle Invoice, quick reference guides and sundry paperwork.

2012 Ferrari F430 F1 Spider 2012 Ferrari F430 F1 Spider

2012 Ferrari F430 F1 Spider

Lot #10 (Sale Order 10 of 92)

PLEASE NOTE: This lot possesses a MOT certificate valid until 28th November 2017. PLEASE NOTE: The 8th digit of this lot's VIN is 'C' which denotes that it was built to right-hand specification for the UK market. F430 production finished in 2009 and so presumably the Spider was dry stored until being first UK road registered on 26th July 2012. - One owner from new and 400 recorded miles 'Here's a milestone car. The F430 was the first no-buts Ferrari, the first Maranello product for which no excuses needed to be made. It was regarded by most critics as, if not perfect, as close to theoretical Ferrari road-car perfection as a Ferrari had ever been' (John Simister, EVO magazine, March 12th 2013). Unveiled at the Geneva Salon in March 2005, the F430 Spider was a modest 70kg heavier than its Berlinetta sibling. However, the structural strengthening this weight gain allowed meant that the newcomer was a dynamic match for its fixed roof stablemate under most circumstances (Richard Bremner commenting in Autocar magazine that he was only aware of any loss of rigidity perhaps one percent of the time). Styled by Pininfarina under the guidance of Frank Stephenson, the F430 Spider featured a reinforced windscreen and twin steel rollover hoops and could retract its fabric roof under an aluminium 'double bubble' tonneau cover in twenty seconds. The elliptical air intakes which dominated its nose recalled those of the Ferrari 156 'Sharknose' F1 car, while its tail treatment echoed that of the marque's revered Enzo hypercar. A flat underbody and highly effective rear diffuser generated real downforce as did the subtle but effective lip spoiler on the glazed engine cover. The F430 in both open and closed versions was the first modern Ferrari to feature an electronically controlled limited slip differential or 'E-diff' and a steering wheel-mounted 'manettino' switch. The latter enabled the driver to choose between five driving modes (altering the throttle, steering, damping and traction control settings etc in each instance). Derived from that of its F360 predecessor, the two-seater's aluminium chassis boasted improved torsional stiffness and played host to all-round independent suspension, four-wheel vented disc brakes (complete with ABS) and power assisted rack and pinion steering. Displacing 4308cc, its 'quad cam', 32-valve V8 was quoted as developing 483bhp and 343lbft of torque. Allied to either manual or F1-style 'paddle shift' transmission (both six-speed), it enabled the F430 Spider to sprint from 0-60mph in 4.1 seconds and onto over 193mph. The engine was also an aural delight with distinct 'key changes' at 4,500rpm and 7,000rpm on the way to its 8,500rpm redline. Naturally, such throttle induced music was best enjoyed roof down aboard a Spider! Notable as the penultimate naturally-aspirated, V8 mid-engined Ferrari and built in smaller numbers than its 458 successor, the F430 remains a 'tour de force' for any enthusiast driver. Offered for sale with clear title by order of the High Court, this particular example has formed part of an extensive London-based private collection since new. First registered on 26th July 2012 and finished in White with Red leather upholstery (the former carrying Red accents and the latter Cream piping / inserts), 'D15 AAA' wears HR Owen number plates. An HPi check reveals that (a) the Ferrari has had no former keepers and (b) it is not recorded on their stolen, finance, security watch or insurance write off databases. While a UK Government Vehicle MOT History search shows that the supercar was first MOT tested at 388 miles on 2nd July 2015. Now displaying just over 400 miles to its odometer, this stunning F430 Spider will hopefully possess a fresh MOT certificate by the time of sale. Offered for sale with original book pack and invoices detailing H.R. Owen services at 92, 225 and 336 miles plus one from Jack Barclay for £2,700 worth of colour styling.

Its vast windscreen bathes you in light while giving you almost Eddie Stobart-levels of forward vision. Completing the HGV-effect is a shift lever that sprouts conveniently from the fascia. 1959 MG A 1500 Roadster 1959 MG A 1500 Roadster

1959 MG A 1500 Roadster

Lot #12 (Sale Order 12 of 92)

A plaque in the engine compartment of this pretty MGA states that it was sold new by Nuffield (Australia) Pty. Ltd., part of British Motor Corporation (Australia). Australian cars have right hand drive steering and this 1500 Roadster is so equipped. It was apparently exported to New Zealand in 1961 where it remained until our English vendor acquired the car while living out there, and he brought it to England when he returned. It was first registered with the DVLA in July 2015. We are informed that the car has a "Stage 2" cylinder head and HRG Engineering rocker cover and it has received much expenditure in New Zealand in recent years, with invoices for such work apparently in the history file. Also present we are told is the 1961 New Zealand registration card. The vendor feels that the odometer reading of 131,000 miles is correct and he describes the car as being in "very good" condition in all respects.

1965 Daimler V8-250 1965 Daimler V8-250

1965 Daimler V8-250

Lot #13 (Sale Order 13 of 92)

This tidy Maroon V8 is understood to be completely original apart from a long list of desirable extras that include: power steering; Coopercraft brakes; Harvey Bailey handling kit; stainless steel exhaust system; oil cooler; Facet fuel pump; Kenlowe electric fan; wire wheels; and Coombs-style wheel arches. 'LGU 967D' currently displays an unwarranted 84,000 miles and is considered by the vendor to have 'excellent' bodywork, paintwork, Black interior trim, V8 engine and automatic transmission. It is now offered complete with green log book, Heritage Certificate, original handbook and a comprehensive history that includes a sizeable collection of invoices. The V8-250 was a derivative of the all-conquering MKII Jaguar. Its name was drawn from its engine - a lightweight, eight-cylinder one of 2,548cc. This was mated to a Borg Warner three-speed automatic or four-speed manual gearbox. Production continued until manufacture of all MKII derivatives ceased in 1969, by which time some 17,620 of the Daimler version had been made.

1929 DeSoto Six Model K Tourer 1929 DeSoto Six Model K Tourer

1929 DeSoto Six Model K Tourer

Lot #14 (Sale Order 14 of 92)

Chrysler's DeSoto brand was incorporated in May 1928 and created to compete with the mid-price competitors of Oldsmobile, Mercury, Studebaker, Hudson and Willys. Quite why the newcomer was named after the Mississippi-discovering Spanish explorer Hernando DeSoto seems, however, to have been lost in the mists of time. The initial product, dubbed the Model K, was manufactured alongside its Chrysler and Plymouth siblings at the corporation's Highland Park headquarters near Detroit. It also shared the body panels of the Plymouth, but was powered by a six rather than four-cylinder engine. The public liked what they saw and the Model K's first year sales created a record that remained unbroken for over 30 years. The tidy righthand drive Tourer version offered is finished in Cream, trimmed in Brown and rides on artillery wheels. It has benefited from a recent brake overhaul and oil/filter change and comes complete with full weather equipment, original handbook and V5C.

1968 Morris Mini Cooper Evocation

Lot #15 (Sale Order 15 of 92)

PLEASE NOTE: This vehicle has an MOT until August 2017. - Convincing MKI Cooper Evocation offering all the fun of an original but at a fraction of the price - Cooper-style engine, front disc brakes and wider wheels etc - Repainted, re-trimmed and fitted with a MKI grille and tail lights etc Ever since the first Austin and Morris Mini Coopers debuted in September 1961 enthusiasts have been dressing up lesser variants to look like their more famous, 'go faster' siblings (a trend which shows no signs of abating given the ever increasing prices of original Cooper and Cooper S models). Beginning life as MKII Mini 1000, this particular example has only recently been transformed into a MKI Cooper Evocation. Repainted in its original Almond Green but with the additional of a White roof, the diminutive saloon boasts a wood rim steering wheel and front bucket seats to its re-trimmed interior. Riding on wider Cooper-style wheels, 'JBG 847F' also features a Cooper-style 998cc engine fed by twin SU carburettors and Cooper-style front disc brakes. The fitment of a MKI radiator grille and MKI tail lights help complete the illusion. Starting readily upon inspection and sounding as raucous and purposeful as a sporting Mini should, this delightful and convincing MKI Cooper Evocation is offered for sale with V5C Registration Document and fresh MOT certificate.

1952 MG TD 1952 MG TD

1952 MG TD

Lot #16 (Sale Order 16 of 92)

PLEASE NOTE: Since the catalogue was published the vendor has informed us that this lot is fitted with a more modern five-speed manual gearbox to the benefit of its cruising ability. - Recently repatriated from sunnier climes - The subject of extensive refurbishment inc. new seats, carpets, hood, sidescreens, tyre, etc. - 79,000 recorded miles and said to 'drive beautifully' This overtly pretty TD has recently been repatriated from sunnier, drier climes. Its Old English White bodywork is teamed with Green leather interior trim, black hood and Silver-coloured disc wheels. It has clearly benefited from a substantial degree of refurbishment that included the replacement of the seats, carpets, hood, sidescreens, tyres etc. The vendor informs us that the MG 'has only covered 79,459 miles from new and drives beautifully', and he presently classes the bodywork, paintwork, interior trim, 1250cc XPAG engine and four-speed manual gearbox as all being in 'very good' condition, making '130 UYF' a potentially fine addition to any collection. Though visually similar to the earlier T Series cars, the TD was a full five inches wider and built around a more modern chassis derived for the Y-Type Saloon. Some 30,000 examples had been produced by the time the model was superseded by the TF in 1953 - 23,500 went to the USA alone.

1955 Rolls-Royce Silver Dawn

Lot #17 (Sale Order 17 of 92)

- The Silver Dawn remains among Rolls-Royce's rarest post-WW2 models (just 761 were made) - This example boasts matching chassis and engine numbers plus continuous history - An elegant and very nicely presented 'big bore', automatic gearbox, big boot car Unveiled in 1949, the Silver Dawn had the distinction of being the first Rolls-Royce to wear standard steel coachwork. Visually and mechanically indebted to its Bentley MKVI stablemate, the newcomer was initially powered by a 4257cc straight-six engine (though, capacity was increased to 4566cc during 1951) allied to either manual or automatic transmission - both four-speed. Suspension was independent at the front and by live axle on semi-elliptic leaves at the rear. Braking was by servo-assisted drums all-round. A total of just 761 Silver Dawns had been manufactured by the time the model was supplanted by the Silver Cloud. A matching chassis and engine numbers car with continuous history, this particular example was supplied new by Rippon Bros Ltd to the Thomas Lumb Co Ltd of Skipton, Yorkshire. A mill owner, Mr Lumb kept the Silver Dawn until its purchase by Mr Walter Greaves from the Viceroy Carriage Co. in 1966. Exported to America by its third keeper - Mr Richard Werby - the following decade, the Rolls-Royce had covered some 106,000 miles by the time it next changed hands in 2001. Like his predecessors, Dr Stephen Davidson was determined to maintain the luxury saloon in fine fettle spending some $41,576.39 on it over the following ten years (invoices for the corresponding maintenance / refurbishment work remain on file). Repatriated in 2011 at an indicated 118,000 miles, the Silver Dawn was subsequently allocated the age-related registration number '487 YUH'. Forming part of a private museum collection in more recent times, this elegant and very nicely presented Rolls-Royce boasts the 'big bore' 4566cc engine and four-speed automatic gearbox. Offered for sale with copy build sheets, assorted newspaper articles relating to Mr Lumb, a Rolls-Royce handbook (1953), automatic gearbox instruction card and warrantee, Smiths radiomobile instruction book, numerous of invoices for thousands of pounds/dollars and the original RF60.

1984 Porsche 911 Carrera 3.2 Sport 1984 Porsche 911 Carrera 3.2 Sport

1984 Porsche 911 Carrera 3.2 Sport

Lot #18 (Sale Order 18 of 92)

- UK supplied car, original under boot sticker and space saver spare wheel - Warranted 99,800 miles from new, engine overhauled less than 1,500 miles ago - Recently recommissioned by M R Performance Cars of Salisbury The 911 Carrera 3.2 made its debut at the 1983 Frankfurt Motorshow. Estimated to be 80 percent new, the model's 3164cc (hence '3.2') flat-six engine was credited with developing some 231bhp and 209lbft of torque. Allied to a five-speed transmission, it proved both rev-happy and flexible. Capable of 0-60mph in 5.3 seconds and 153mph, the Carrera 3.2 was progressively refined and updated over the course of its six-year production run. From 1984, those looking for that little bit extra in terms of poise and road presence could opt for the 'Sport' package (later known as 'Sport Equipment') which included a deeper front valance, 'tea tray' rear spoiler, Bilstein dampers and 16-inch Fuchs forged alloy wheels. Originally finished in Grand Prix White with Navy Blue pinstripe upholstery and a sunroof, this particular example was supplied new to Mr Jacobs of Henley-on-Thames. The presence of eight service stamps up to 73,657 miles not to mention a wealth of accompanying MOT certificates mean that the vendor is happy to warrant the current odometer reading of 99,800 miles as representing the total covered from new. Treated to an engine overhaul less than 1,500 miles ago before being dry stored for nigh-on a decade, the Porsche was recommissioned by M R Performance Cars of Salisbury just a few months ago at a cost of some £3,055.68. As well as a thorough service, attention was paid to the 911's brake system, fuel system, sensors, engine mounts and washer pump etc. Driven over 1,000 trouble-free miles since then, the Carrera 3.2 has also benefited from a partial repaint. Still sporting its original under boot specification sticker and unused space saver spare wheel (the latter complete with tie-on factory warning label), 'B890 OPJ' appears to have led something of a charmed life. Offered for sale with service book, sundry invoices and MOT certificate valid until 18th October 2017.

1938 Morris 14/6 Series III Saloon 1938 Morris 14/6 Series III Saloon

1938 Morris 14/6 Series III Saloon

Lot #19 (Sale Order 19 of 92)

- Reputedly 1 of just six surviving examples known to the pre-1940 Morris Register - Remarkably well-preserved thanks in part to 30 plus years' spent in dry storage - First registered in Huntingdonshire and understood to have been a staff car at RAF Warboys A car to make William Morris - or indeed any manufacturer - proud, this 14/6 Series III Saloon has survived remarkably well since it was first road registered as 'BEW 234' by Huntingdon County Council on October 1st 1938. Sporting a chrome-plated (rather than painted) radiator shell and braided silk interior pull handles for its rear seat passengers, the Morris is understood to have served as an Air Ministry staff car at RAF Warboys. A handwritten annotation to the continuation buff logbook in its accompanying history file indicates that the four-door saloon was subsequently sold to Arthur William Newman Esq on 19th February 1944. Proprietor of the local Supply Stores, Mr Newman used 'BEW 234' for delivering goods to his best customers into the 1960s. Relocating to Hounslow, West London thereafter with Lewis Nevile White Esq, the 14/6 Series III was laid-up in a garage during the late 1970s. Left to slumber for over thirty years, the Morris was recommissioned by its previous keeper via a thorough service, brake system overhaul, reconditioned Jackall system, new 6-volt batteries and fresh cross-ply tyres. Starting readily upon inspection, its 1.8 litre OHV six-cylinder engine is thought to have been overhauled in the past. Boasting synchromesh on third and fourth gears, 'BEW 234' is said to possess a surprising turn of speed for a 1930s saloon. Pleasingly retaining its original Brown leather upholstery and some of its factory-applied Black paintwork, the Morris exudes a wonderful patina. The doors all open and close with a satisfying 'thunk' and overall the car gives an impression of solidity which perhaps explains its longevity. Reputedly one of just six surviving 14/6 Series III saloons known to the pre-1940 Morris Register, 'BEW 234' is just the sort of car that would have taken spectators to the first Goodwood race meetings or witnessed Sir Stirling Moss's Prescott debut etc.

1969 Lotus Elan +2 1969 Lotus Elan +2

1969 Lotus Elan +2

Lot #20 (Sale Order 20 of 92)

- Documented history file to support the 74,000 recorded miles including numerous invoices - Fitted with a replacement Lotus galvanised chassis and Roto-flex driveshaft couplings - A slightly older restoration that has been freshly serviced and issued with a 'no advisories' MOT "The uncanny cornering powers of this remarkable machine equal and probably exceed those of any production car we have driven before: similarly the handling and brakes are certainly not bettered." (Motor magazine, September 1967, re the +2). The Elan name was first applied to Lotus's oh-so-neat, Ron Hickman-penned two-seater Roadster of 1962. It comprised a steel backbone chassis clothed in a lightweight fiberglass body, all powered by a 1558cc Cosworth DOHC version of Ford's proven 'Kent' engine. With independent suspension and disc brakes all-round, the Elan was notably light and nimble. However, it was also tight on space and in June 1967 the company launched the Elan +2 for those in need of more accommodation. Based on a lengthened and widened version of the original chassis, it boasted a lower drag co-efficient and superior road-holding; the latter courtesy of a six-inch wider track and larger tyres. Lotus summarised its intent by saying 'the +2 is designed to carry two adults and two children on a long holiday in comfort'. The subject of a slightly older restoration, 'BGU 853G' is reportedly accompanied by a documented history file that supports its 74,000 recorded miles. To SE specification (Weber carburettors, c.118bhp), the 1558cc twin-cam engine boasts a stainless-steel exhaust and is said to be in 'good condition', and to 'maintain good oil pressure'. While the four-speed manual gearbox is rated as 'good' too. As well as a Lotus galvanised chassis, the Elan has benefited from the fitment of new Roto-flex driveshaft couplings. The vendor tells us that: 'The overall appearance of the car is presentable albeit with the age-related marks typical of an older restoration. A repaint would improve the exterior but the interior remains smart. A fresh, 'no advisories' MOT certificate has been issued and a full service recently undertaken'.

1997 Bentley Continental R 1997 Bentley Continental R

1997 Bentley Continental R

Lot #21 (Sale Order 21 of 92)

- A beautiful Continental R first registered to Hartlepool house builders Cecil M Yuill Limited - Just four recorded keepers; company, then company owner, then vendors BDC Member father-in-law, then vendor - Only 39,900 recorded miles with numerous maintenance invoices and previous MOT certificates This Bentley is appropriately coloured in British racing green paint with a cream and green leather interior and is a beautiful example that the vendor describes as being in "excellent" condition in every way. Within the generous history file are copies of previous registration documents that state that the car was sold new in October 1997 to Hartlepool property developers and house builders Cecil M Yuill Limited. In April 2006 R100 SEF (as it was then registered) had a change of recorded ownership from the company to a Mr Yuill, presumably the person who had been driving the car since new. During this time copies of maintenance invoices on file show that the car was maintained by Reg Vardy in Houghton-Le-Spring. Almost a year later in March 2007 ownership passed to the father of our vendor and the Continental R was registered to his residence in London's Chelsea on the most appropriate Bentley number plate 4489 TU. The gentleman was reportedly very active within the Bentley Drivers Club and sold a Derby Bentley when he acquired the Continental R, and he took part in many club events both in the UK and Europe in this Bentley and also in his Corniche and S3. Upon his passing-away, ownership passed to his daughter and son-in-law in May 2013 and they have used the car sparingly. Supplied with a generously sized folder containing copies of maintenance invoices, previous registration documents, and previous MOT certificates, we are told other more recent invoices from highly renowned Bentley specialists will also be included in the file.

1962 Bristol 407 1962 Bristol 407

1962 Bristol 407

Lot #22 (Sale Order 22 of 92)

The 407 was in many ways a landmark car for the quintessentially British manufacturer Bristol. It was the first to be produced since the company's car and aviation divisions had gone their separate ways. It was also the first to be powered by an engine other than Bristol's own BMW-derived straight-six that, after 14 years of sterling service, now lacked the output of more contemporary units. In its place sat a Canadian-built 5130cc (313ci) Chrysler V8 which, with an output of 250bhp, endowed the 407 with literally double the power of the outgoing 406 and, in instead of the familiar four-speed manual transmission it drove through a three-speed Chrysler Torque flight automatic unit. The front suspension now featured coil rather than leaf springing and the rack and pinion steering was superseded by a Marles worm-type system. The styling, more evolution than revolution, resulted in sharper lines and flatter panels than exhibited by its predecessor. Motor magazine's period road test of the model proved it capable of sprinting to 60mph in 9.2 seconds and accelerating on to a top speed of 125.2mph. Copies of this Bristol's factory records show it was delivered new to sole dealer Anthony Crook Motors on June 6, 1962. It is one of an estimated 88 made, of which only 20 or so apparently remain in roadworthy condition. The original engine was replaced by a 'new old stock' unit in 2008 at an indicated 42,000 miles, while the Beige interior was treated to a sympathetic £4,260 refurbishment in 2010 and the steering box overhauled still more recently. Finished in eye-catching Lava Red, '559 JTV' now registers an unwarranted but entirely feasible 63,000 miles and is being offered complete with a detailed service history that evidently confirms this rare English classic has been regularly and properly maintained throughout its 54 years.

1952 Bentley R-Type Straight-Eight Special 'The Fire Engine' 1952 Bentley R-Type Straight-Eight Special 'The Fire Engine'

1952 Bentley R-Type Straight-Eight Special 'The Fire Engine'

Lot #23 (Sale Order 23 of 92)

- Built by a former director of Rolls-Royce motorcars, and professional engineer, in the 1990s as a tribute to the 'Scalded Cat' Bentleys - Powered by a 6.5 litre Rolls-Royce B81 straight-eight engine allied to automatic transmission - Veteran of numerous rallies including the Bentley Drivers' Club's Tour of South Africa in 2003 (c.4,000 miles) Rolls-Royce built two straight-eight powered Bentleys using the 'B'-series eight-cylinder variant of the standard six-cylinder engine (one of which was loaned to HRH Prince Philip who was apparently reluctant to hand it back). These were dubbed 'Scalded Cats' and in the mid-1960s Robin Moore started to plan a similar car based on a R-Type Chassis. He was working in the experimental department of Rolls-Royce at the time and an internal memo dated August 1965 sees him asking if any ex-test cars would become available. This plan did not come to anything with the acquisition of an S1 Continental Convertible in the late 1960s consuming all available time and cash and the collapse of Rolls-Royce and his move to Surrey to work for W. S. Atkins closing off further progress. In the mid-1980s he had bought a Harry Rose-bodied MkVI Special and his interest in a B80-engined special was reignited. He acquired a Thorneycroft Nubian Fire Engine for its powerplant and an R-Type that had rotten coachwork but a sound chassis and running gear was also sourced. The body was stripped off the Bentley and work started on modifications to the chassis. The cruciform was cut and the front section moved back in the chassis by twelve inches. The front chassis side rails were extended and reinforced to provide space for the longer engine. All of the running gear was overhauled and meticulously reinstated. An elegant open tourer body was designed and commissioned in traditional ash framing and aluminium panels and the car was completed in late 1992. During the development, a B81 with its larger capacity of 6.52litres had been found and this replaced the B80. The R-Type automatic gearbox was retained and an R-Type Continental back axle ratio fitted which with the 17-inch wheels, provides relaxed cruising. At this stage he was persuaded that an elegant blue and grey colour scheme was preferable to the bright red he had envisaged to fit with the name. Used and enjoyed for numerous trips around the UK, the Special also ventured as far afield as South Africa for the Bentley Drivers' Club's 2003 tour of that country which saw participants cover circa 4,000 miles! However, the B81 engine that had been fitted was from an army training establishment and it became clear that it had had a hard life. In 2008 the opportunity came up to buy a brand new, unused B81G which is the variant of the B81 designed to run on propane or natural gas. It therefore has a much higher compression ratio - increased from 6.4:1 to 8.0:1 which modern fuels can run without any issue and provides a further boost in output to ensure that it is, in Rolls-Royce terminology 'adequate' (a standard B81 unit is estimated to develop 220bhp and 330lbft of torque). A full and detailed history is provided with the car as is weather equipment and a MOT certificate valid until October 2017.

1974 Alfa Romeo 2000 GTV 1974 Alfa Romeo 2000 GTV

1974 Alfa Romeo 2000 GTV

Lot #24 (Sale Order 24 of 92)

- Original UK supplied RHD car finished in green with tan interior - Extensive older restoration, stored from 1989 to 2016, recently recommissioned - 3 previous owners, 79,000 miles believed genuine, MoT to July 2017 Alfa Romeo's extremely successful 105 Series model range was extended in 1971 to include the revised 2000 GTV. Fitted with an enlarged 1962cc 'twin-cam' engine developing some 131bhp, it inherited the longer wheelbase platform and all wheel disc brakes of its older 1750 GTV sibling. This UK supplied RHD example is finished in green with tan vinyl interior and is described as being an extensive older restoration that was off the road from 1989 to 2016 due the demise of the previous owner. It is understood to have had just three previous owners with ownership transferring into the late owner's wife's name in 1998. The odometer registers c.79,000 believed genuine miles, which is supported by old MOTs and invoices from 1978-1989. There is also letter from the original owner dated 11th November 1977 that certifies, at that time, that the car had had one lady driver and the mileage at that time of 27,000 miles was a 'genuine and true reading'. Some light body restoration was carried out in 1983 including new sills, rear wheel arches and a near side door followed by a glass-out respray. Stored from 1989 to 2015, recent recommissioning work includes a brake over haul, head gasket and water pump as well as replacing numerous other parts. The vendor describes the body and paint as "excellent" and the engine (including a detailed engine bay), electrics, transmission and interior as "very good".

1980 MG B GT 1980 MG B GT

1980 MG B GT

Lot #25 (Sale Order 25 of 92)

- Not road registered until June 1991 and still just 13,400 miles from new - Enhanced with numerous period-style upgrades including Black leather upholstery - Ready to show and enjoy, freshly serviced with a 'no advisories' MOT certificate By 1980, its eighteenth and final year of production, the MG B had become firmly entrenched as Britian's best-loved sportscar. Thus, quite a few examples - including this one - were thoroughly Ziebart rust-proofed before being squirreled away in dry storage. Not road registered until 24th June 1991, the 2+2-seater was acquired by its second private keeper some two years later who treated it to the following sympathetic and period-style upgrades: a beautifully engineered (and possibly unique) rear wash-wipe, wooden Moto-lita steering wheel, stainless steel exhaust, full-length Britax sunroof, tailored / removable load cover, detachable dash-mounted search light, Black leather upholstery (to factory specification), security locks to the doors / bootlid and Minilite-type alloys. Finished in its original shade of Vermillion Red, the GT is warranted to have covered just 13,400 miles from new. Said to 'drive wonderfully in the way that only a very low mileage, unrestored car can', 'MGB 89V' has been freshly serviced and is offered for sale with a 'no advisories' MOT certificate. Ready to show and enjoy, this clearly much-loved GT is described by the seller as being in 'excellent' condition with regard to its 1798cc engine, four-speed manual plus overdrive gearbox, electrical equipment, bodywork, paintwork and interior trim. Lot #28 (Sale Order 28 of 92)

An eye-catching sight in period Pastel Green, this lovely lefthand drive Roadster has had just three owners from new and only one for the last 48 years. A remarkably original, unrestored, matching numbers example even down to its cylinder head, it has undoubtedly benefited greatly from a life in the California sunshine and being garaged when not in use. A recent £5,500 recommission means it is now ready for a new keeper to add to the existing relatively modest mileage of 66,000. The vendor variously grades the Jaguar as having an 'excellent' XK engine, 'very good' Roadster bodywork and manual transmission, 'average' paintwork, and 'poor' Green interior trim. UK registered and equipped with original-style Ace number plates, 'YNG 503' should be eligible for a number of significant historic events, including the Mille Miglia. The stunning-looking XK120 Roadster caused a sensation when it was launched at the London Motor Show of 1948. Capable of 120 mph and more (hence the name), it immediately assumed the mantle of the world's fastest production car. The equally elegant Fixed Head Coupe version followed in 1951 with the Drop Head Coupe completing the range in 1953. The key to the car's stunning performance was its all new, alloy-headed DOHC 3.4-litre, straight-six engine, the basic design of which successfully powered a whole range of Jaguars until the late '80s. In standard form the output was 160bhp, but in SE (Special Equipment) guise (which included firmer suspension and a twin exhaust) this rose to 180bhp, and with the C-Type head installed nearer 200bhp was on tap. In testing a Fixed Head SE XK120 in 1952, Autocar achieved a 0-60mph time of 9.9 seconds. The 120's suspension was independent by wishbones and torsion bars at the front and by live axle mounted on semi-elliptic leaf springs at the rear.

1963 Austin-Healey 3000 MKIIA 1963 Austin-Healey 3000 MKIIA

1963 Austin-Healey 3000 MKIIA

Lot #30 (Sale Order 30 of 92)

This very tidy and original-looking 3000 is finished in Black, trimmed in Tan leather and rides on painted wire wheels. Originally an American export model, it was dispatched on May 15, 1963 to the dealer in Jacksonville, Florida. It remained in the US until being repatriated in 2003 and was then treated to a restoration and conversion to righthand drive between 2005 and 2008. The Healey was then enjoyed and maintained by its owner until his passing, winning Austin-Healey Club concours awards on two occasions during 2012. That same year the car was granted a very positive condition report by the Club, which forms part of the history file, together with a Heritage Certificate and MOT valid to August 11 next year. The indicated mileage presently stands at an unwarranted 63,000 and the vendor views the plush interior trim as 'excellent', and the bodywork, paintwork, straight-six engine and four-speed manual gearbox as all being in 'very good' condition. An attractive example of an increasingly sought after model. Launched to great acclaim at the 1952 London Motor Show, the 'Big' Healey enjoyed steady development, with the original four-cylinder cars giving way to the 100-Six of 1956, which was followed by the first of the 3000s in 1959 and the MKII 3000 in 1961. Identifiable by its new grille and bonnet air intake, the MKII was still available as a two-seater (BN7) or four-seater (BT7), but power was increased to 132bhp, courtesy of three 1.5 inch SUs on separate inlet manifolds. These, however, proved difficult to balance and the relatively short-lived MKIIA introduced in January 1962 featured better breathing courtesy of a pair of 2 inch SUs, plus wind-up windows, superior hood and wrap-around windscreen. A total of 6,113 BJ7s were manufactured before the model was supplanted by the MKIII in October 1963.

1963 Austin A40 Farina 1963 Austin A40 Farina

1963 Austin A40 Farina

Lot #31 (Sale Order 31 of 92)

Historic rally drivers will instantly recognise this Maroon A40 as the one campaigned with great success by the late Don Pither - a man also known for his informative books on the Reliant marque and being co-founder of the Historic Rally Car Register. On Don's passing '4560 DP' was inherited by his son, who has since treated it to a comprehensive rolling restoration. The bodywork, ravaged by no less than 10 Historic Monte Carlo Rallies, was comprehensively refurbished and repainted. The A series engine was fully overhauled courtesy of many parts supplied by ace A series engine builder Swiftune, while retaining the original block and rare Mini-Cooper big valve and ported cylinder head - once completed the unit showed some 70bhp and strong torque on the rolling road. The vendor now classes the high-specification competition Austin's bodywork, paintwork and engine as 'excellent', the (roller bearing) 1275 Midget gearbox as 'very good' and the Grey and Beige interior as 'average'.

1990 Lancia Delta HF Integrale Kat 1990 Lancia Delta HF Integrale Kat

1990 Lancia Delta HF Integrale Kat

Lot #32 (Sale Order 32 of 92)

As motorsport fans will be acutely aware, the Integrale was one of the most successful rally cars ever, having won the World Rally Championship for six consecutive years. Road-going versions of the model were also a force to be reckoned with and remain on the shortlist of many a performance driver. The lefthand drive example offered here hails from 1990. Its Black bodywork teamed with a Black leather interior certainly endows the car with a suitably aggressive look. Its turbocharged four-cylinder engine develops 180bhp, which is sufficient to thrust the practical four-door Saloon to 60mph in around 6.5 seconds and on to a top speed of over 130mph. 'H898 VHE' boasts uprated springs, adjustable dampers and new original style wheels. The vendor describes the engine and gearbox as 'excellent' and says the Integrale 'drives very well'. It comes with the original stamped-up service book, maintenance bills and an MOT into October 2017.

1969 NSU 1200 TT 1969 NSU 1200 TT

1969 NSU 1200 TT

Lot #36 (Sale Order 36 of 92)

- Former Autocar road test car and part of NSU's contemporary UK press fleet - 1 of just 9 survivors known to the DVLA, recent engine overhaul and front suspension refurbishment - Intriguing Mini Cooper S rival, MOT'd till November 2017 An evolution of the NSU Prinz 1000 TT, the 1200 TT (Tourist Trophy) was launched in June 1967. Marketed as a sports saloon in much the same vein as the Mini Cooper S or Fiat Abarth 850TC, both of which it crossed swords with in the European Touring Car Championship, the newcomer was powered by a mid / rear-mounted 1171cc SOHC four-cylinder engine allied to four-speed manual transmission. Boasting an oil cooler, all-round independent suspension, twin carburettors and front disc brakes, the compact four-seater was renowned for its nimble handling and nigh on 100mph performance. First registered as 'EPX 570H' on 15th October 1969, this particular right-hand drive example is notable for having formed part of NSU's contemporary press fleet. As well as being featured in the company's 'An invitation . . .' sales brochure, the 1200 TT acquitted itself with honours when pitted against a Mini 1275GT in Autocar magazine's December 1969 issue, copies of which are included in the sale. The magazine noting that the German machine was faster, freer revving, less cramped and more refined than its British rival. One of just nine 1200 TTs currently known to the DVLA, 'EXP 570H' has recently benefited from an engine overhaul (including new piston rings, bearings and timing chains) not to mention a front suspension refurbishment (uprated Spax adjustable dampers and poly bushes). Finished in Alfa Rot with Black cloth upholstery and displaying a credible but unwarranted 76,000 miles to its odometer, the sports saloon is variously described by the vendor as being in 'good' (bodywork, paintwork, gearbox), 'very good' (engine, electrical equipment) or 'excellent' (interior trim) order. With prices of LHD examples soaring on the Continent, 'EXP 570H' looks to be very good value especially given its wonderful provenance.

1952 Bristol 401 1952 Bristol 401

1952 Bristol 401

Lot #37 (Sale Order 37 of 92)

- 1 of just 618 made, matching chassis and engine numbers - Recent bare metal repaint, sundry rechroming and mechanical recommissioning "This, indeed, is the car for the connoisseur. It can only be modesty on the part of the Bristol publicity boys which has prevented them from quoting as the 401's slogan 'The Best Car in Britain'" (Motor Sport magazine, January 1953). Introduced in Autumn 1949, the 401 was characterised by its super-smooth, aerodynamic bodywork. Honed in the Bristol Aeroplane Company's wind tunnel and built using Milanese coachbuilder Touring's 'Superleggera' technique, it boasted a commendably lithe kerb weight (c.2,700lbs). Equipped with transverse-leaf independent front suspension and hydraulic drum brakes, the newcomer proved a notably fine handler taking Touring Class wins on both the Cannes and Tulip Rallies during 1951. Powered by a 1971cc OHV straight-six engine allied to four-speed manual transmission, the elegant sports saloon promised nigh-on 100mph performance. Only in production for four years (by which time a mere 618 are thought to have been made), the model's exclusive £3,212 13s 4d price tag was a reflection of the aircraft quality materials used in its construction. Supplied new by Anthony Crook Ltd of Hersham, Surrey, this particular example - chassis 401/1094 - was dry stored for some sixteen years prior to entering the current ownership. An enthusiast who had driven Bristols on various historic rallies, the vendor treated VSJ 780' to a bare metal repaint and sundry rechroming plus some sympathetic mechanical recommissioning. As well as a new cylinder head gasket, the original matching numbers' engine benefited from new core plugs, flushed out waterways and overhauled carburettors. The radiator core was attended to as were the water pump, starter solenoid, wiring and brakes. Finished in Cambridge Grey Metallic with Dark Blue leather upholstery, the Bristol is variously described by the vendor as being in good' (electrical equipment), very good' (bodywork, paintwork, engine, interior trim) or excellent' (gearbox) condition. Offered for sale with parts manual invoices and various vehicle documents.

1954 Austin-Healey 100 1954 Austin-Healey 100

1954 Austin-Healey 100

Lot #38 (Sale Order 38 of 92)

- A home market car in the current family ownership for 40-plus years - An older restoration with supporting photographs - Recent gearbox overhaul by JME Healeys Donald Healey's eponymous company built a prototype two-seater sports car for display at the 1952 London Motor Show. It was based on Austin A90 Atlantic mechanicals and sported a notably sleek body designed by Gerry Coker and built by Tickford. It was dubbed the 'Healey Hundred' and, subject to a suitably encouraging response, Healey planned to build production versions in-house at his Warwick factory. As things transpired, the Ice Blue prototype so excited Austin's Managing Director, Leonard Lord, that he struck a deal to build the car in volume at Longbridge. The newcomer was renamed the Austin-Healey 100/4 and the rest is history. The 100/4's chassis was a departure from the company's previous backbone designs and comprised a pair of three-inch square box-section side members. The car had 11in drum brakes all round, while the front suspension was independent by coil springs and the rear featured a traditional 'live' axle supported by semi-elliptic leaf springs. A 1953 BN1 tested by Motor returned a top speed of 106mph and achieved the 0-60mph dash in 11.2 seconds. A total of 10,688 BN1s were produced between January 1953 and 1955. This lovely-looking home market 100/4 is finished in Spruce Green matched with a Green leather interior. The subject of an older restoration, 'PPT 848' has remained within the same family ownership for over 40 years, though apparently had little use since the last full service. The vendor these days regards the bodywork and paintwork as 'very good' and the 2.6-litre engine and interior trim as 'good', while the three-speed manual overdrive gearbox has recently been overhauled by JME Healeys. He is now offering the Healey complete with new battery and history file containing photos of the restoration, plus sundry invoices and old MOTs etc.

1973 Jaguar E-Type V12 Coupe 1973 Jaguar E-Type V12 Coupe

1973 Jaguar E-Type V12 Coupe

Lot #39 (Sale Order 39 of 92)

- In long term storage prior to current ownership - Over £13,000 spent since 2008 on engine, cooling system, etc. - Regularly used on the London to Brighton Run 'The turbine-like smoothness with which the engine provides a sustained shove in the back is almost uncanny, the more so when one accelerates hard in top gear without even a gearchange to interrupt one's headlong dash into the distance' - Autocar, July 5, 1973 By 1971, Jaguar's jaw-dropping E-Type had been in production for a decade. Despite continual improvements, new emissions legislation in the all-important American market threatened to strangle the big cat's performance. Jaguar responded by giving its revered sportscar fresh claws in the shape of a 5343cc V12 developed from the stillborn XJ13 Le Mans project. The new engine was both effortlessly powerful and eerily refined. With some 272bhp and 304 lb ft of torque on tap, the Series III version once again had 150mph in its sights. A revised wheelbase yielded better cabin space which, together with wider tracks front and rear, new anti-dive front suspension and fatter tyres, gave improved road holding. Imbued with a more muscular stance thanks to its flared wheelarches, re-profiled wings and larger grille, it also benefited from vented disc brakes and a restyled interior. The vendor believes this sparkling Coupe languished in lengthy storage before his purchase in 2007 and its history is limited to the log book and MOT of the time. Since then he has lavished over £13,000 on the Jaguar, mainly to the benefit of its V12 engine and cooling system. He currently considers the 2+2 bodywork, paintwork, Biscuit-coloured leather interior trim, 5.3-litre engine and automatic transmission as all being in 'excellent' order. It has regularly completed the London to Brighton classic run, but his children have now outgrown the rear seats, so it's time to find a new keeper for the E-Type, that currently displays an unwarranted 89,238 miles. 'UEC 413M' is MOT'd to May 5 2017.

1935 Rolls-Royce 25/30 Saloon with Division 1935 Rolls-Royce 25/30 Saloon with Division

1935 Rolls-Royce 25/30 Saloon with Division

Lot #41 (Sale Order 41 of 92)

- Reputedly 1 of just 6 Rolls-Royce 25/30s to be bodied to this design by Windovers - Supplied new to W. Johnson Esq of the Basset confectionary company - Current owner since 1984, Marchal headlamps, drinks cabinet, twin spare wheels This charming long chassis 25/30 is finished in Cream over Brown and trimmed in Brown leather. Its Windovers Saloon body includes a Division and 'MJK 377' is thought to be one of just six Rolls-Royce 25/30s clothed to this design. It was supplied new on October 20, 1936 to W Johnson of the Basset confectionary company. The suitably impressive specification includes Marchal headlamps, twin spare wheels, chrome luggage rack, GB plate and cocktail cabinet. The Rolls has remained within the same ownership since 1984 but is now seeking a fresh chapter in its life courtesy of a new keeper. It comes complete with V5C and a copy of the factory records, as supplied by the RREC. Maintaining its policy of offering one 'Large' and one 'Small' model (the terms being purely relative), Rolls-Royce introduced the 20/25 in 1929 as a successor to the outgoing 20. Though the newcomer was intended to appeal to owner drivers, many examples were in fact sold to customers with chauffeurs. Power came from an enlarged version of the straight-six unit used in the 20. Now of 3699cc, it made for swifter acceleration and a higher top speed - up to 75mph, depending on the chosen body. The four speed manual gearbox featured the manufacturer's traditional righthand change and was equipped with synchromesh on the top two ratios from 1932 onwards. The substantial chassis sported rigid axles front and rear suspended on semi-elliptic leaf springs. The four-wheeled braking was mechanically servo assisted. In 1936, the company opted to increase performance once more, further enlarging the engine to 4257cc to create the so-called 25/30, of which 1201 examples were made before the model was superseded by the Wraith in 1938. Like most Rolls-Royces, the 25/30 starred on the silver screen, most notably in 'The Naked Truth' and 'Death on the Nile'.

1967 Land Rover 88 Series IIA

Lot #42 (Sale Order 42 of 92)

- First registered in May 1967 and showing only three former keepers (since DVLA's computerisation) on the V5C - Acquired by the vendor earlier this year after a few years of inactivity and recently treated to a repaint - Described by the vendor as being in "very good" to "excellent" condition in all respects Land-Rover's Series models were extremely popular with people from all over the world, and the IIA is thought to have been the most successful variant, with sales around 1969/70 believed to have reached 60,000 units a year. Quite a feat for a relatively young company with a small and targeted product range. Little is known about the history of this wonderfully coloured example, although that could easily be solved by a new owner with a V888 application to the DVLA. The V5C has recorded only three former keepers (since the DVLA's computerisation) and the current owner acquired the car earlier this year after it had experienced a period of inactivity. Treated to a new coat of paint the vendor describes the vehicle as being in "very good" to "excellent" in all respects.

1984 Leyland Mini Moke Californian

Lot #43 (Sale Order 43 of 92)

- Believed to be the first RHD Portuguese Moke brought to the UK by Dutton, the importer - Originally pale blue, A31 FUF was reportedly used in a lot of the early publicity by Dutton - Much enjoyed by the current owner, and supplied with a set of original style seats When production of the Australian produced Mini Moke ceased, British Leyland began building the Californian version at one of their plants in Portugal. The Dutton name was very well-known in the 1980's as one of the largest kit-car manufacturers in the world, and in the early 1980's it is understood that they started importing Mokes into England. A31 FUF was first registered in England in May 1984 and is believed to have been the first right hand drive Moke imported by Dutton and used in a lot of their promotional activities and publications. The vendor informs us that it was originally pale blue and is now painted a Land Rover grey, and they describe it as being an older restoration that now has "good" paintwork, "very good" bodywork and engine, and an "excellent" gearbox. PLEASE NOTE: Unfortunately the front bumper of this vehicle was damaged by the owner whilst being unloaded at the auction venue. - Described by the Italian vendor as being in "very good" condition in all respects - Apparently enjoyed by just three owners from new and brought to England from Italy for the sale - Reported to have had new seat covers, tyres, brake discs and pads, exhaust, spark plugs, and reconditioned shock absorbers fitted in the last month The iconic Lancia Delta Integrale requires little introduction. A formidable and enormously successful rally weapon, it also made a very capable and comfortable road car. With manners suitable for family outings, nights to the opera, spirited weekend drives, or high-speed laps or a legendary racing circuit, the Delta Integrale was an extraordinary machine that could take all these in its stride (in all its evolutions), and it can still hold its head high today. Reported to have recently had the seats re-trimmed, as well as having many new parts fitted such as tyres, exhaust, spark plugs, and re-furbished shock absorbers. We are not sure if there are any invoices to substantiate these works which are reported to have been carried out during 2016. This Italian registered car will be brought from Italy for the sale and is described by the vendor as being in "very good" condition in all respects.

1958 Vespa 400 Cabriolet 1958 Vespa 400 Cabriolet

1958 Vespa 400 Cabriolet

Lot #45 (Sale Order 45 of 92)

- A very rare car apparently produced in France from 1957 to 1961 using a design by the Italian Piaggio company - Factory specification believed to have included a rear mounted air cooled 393cc two-stroke engine - Reported to have been completely rejuvenated in 2015 ad described by the Italian vendor as being in "very good" condition The Vespa 400 was a small car built in Fourchambault, France, in relatively small numbers between 1957 and 1961. It had been designed by the Italian Piaggio company that produced the Vespa scooter, and looked very similar to the Autobianchi Bianchina Trasformabile. The engine was a 393cc rear-mounted two cylinder air cooled two-stroke unit that was mated to a three or four speed gearbox. This brightly hued version was restored in 2015 and will be imported from Italy for the sale. Wearing French registration plates, it is easy to imagine it parked beside a harbour in the South of France with its roll-back roof revealing the yellow and white vinyl interior. It is described by the vendor as being in "very good" condition in all respects, and must represent a very unusual opportunity for collectors and enthusiasts of the Vespa marque and small fun cars to acquire such a rare and characterful car.

1964 Mercedes-Benz 220 SEB Coupe

Lot #46 (Sale Order 46 of 92)

This lovely big Benz has had just four keepers from new, the first of whom retained it for 32 years. Fitted with the rarer four-speed manual floor change gearbox and sunroof, the vendor acquired it in 2015 and believes it had been kept rain-free since being restored and resprayed five years earlier. The Coupe is understood to have started life in Glasgow before spending an extended period in the Channel Islands. Earlier this year the vendor commissioned Classic Restorations of Alyth to carry out any remedial work they felt was required, the bill for which totalled £4,250. Finished in Black over Silver and trimmed in a very attractive shade of Red leather, 'BLR 829B' is now ready to be enjoyed by a new keeper and is being offered complete with: receipts dating back to 2000 and for the 2010 restoration that included work to the brakes, suspension and exhaust system, powder coated wheels, new tyres and radiator and fresh upholstery, headlining carpet and dash; plus a number of old MOTs and one valid to November 16 next year. Judging by the paperwork, the recorded mileage of 73,000 is almost certainly genuine. A fine example of period Mercedes-Benz engineering. Via the W111 'fintail' series of 1959, Mercedes continued its practice of offering special two-door Coupe or Roadster versions of its Saloon cars, and the 220SEB took this supreme elegance to a whole new level. Based on the flagship S-class W111 'fintail' Saloon, with its signature upright headlights and imposing traditional Mercedes-Benz grille, the Coupe comprised a light and airy pillarless glasshouse over a distinctive two-door body. The 220 Coupe was very well appointed inside, featuring Mercedes textured leather and wood trimmings. The model's 2195cc, SOHC engine employed mechanical fuel injection of the same type as the 'Pagoda' SLs - its 120bhp being sufficient to propel the car at up to 106mph. A total of some 14,173 220SEB Coupes were built between 1961 and 1965 when the run was terminated.

1899 Phebus 2 1/4hp Forecar

Lot #47 (Sale Order 47 of 92)

The marque took its name from Phoebus, the Greek sun God, and its vehicles were manufactured in the Parisian suburb of Suresnes between 1899 and 1903 by Noe Boyer et Cie. The company initially marketed Aster-engine tricycles, one of which was ridden at the impressive speed of 39mph on the Crystal Palace velodrome by Charles Jarrott. F W Wellington of St George's Square, London, marketed the four-wheel Automobilette Phebus when it came to the UK in 1998, which inspired the Automotor Journal of January 1900 to report 'the new Dion-engined Phebus takes Primrose and Haverstock Hills with the greatest of ease'. This charming veteran formed part of the famous Ward Brothers' Collection until it was successfully auctioned in 2009. It is believed to be the only remaining example, and is distinctive for having a fold-open front seat enabling passengers to be carried ahead of the steering column - hence the name. The coachwork is presented in Green and Black livery and trimmed with Black leather - the Phebus motifs on the side panels are a feature of the car. Its equipment includes a multi-twist bulb horn and the engine has been fitted with a contemporary air-cooled cylinder head. The veteran's comfortable ride is attributable to fully-elliptic front suspension and C-springs on the rear. Fresh valves and valve springs have been fitted in recent years and the Phebus has successfully contested the annual London-Brighton veteran car run. Its unexpected return to the market provides an exciting opportunity to purchase a unique London-Brighton contender that combines French 19th century chic with an impressive turn of speed and, of course, an early starting position in Hyde Park.

1985 Porsche 911 Carrera 3.2 Targa 1985 Porsche 911 Carrera 3.2 Targa

1985 Porsche 911 Carrera 3.2 Targa

Lot #48 (Sale Order 48 of 92)

Porsche's ubiquitous 911 has come in many guises over the years, though this is probably one of the more individual examples to pass through our hands. It started life as a standard 1985 3.2 Targa, but prior to the vendor's purchase in 2014 it was treated to a G Force 'slant nose' conversion at a cost of c.£25,000, which was apparently achieved using original OEM parts. The Porsche's wheels have also been upgraded, and in place of the standard Fuchs alloys, it now features rare Oscam Type 806 (Rennsport) ones - 10x15 inch at the rear and 8.5x15 inch on the front. The Targa has comprised part of the vendor's collection of cars and, though it's seen little use in his care, has been treated to a partial restoration. He now classes the bodywork and Grand Prix White paintwork as 'excellent' and the Red leather interior trim, flat-six engine and G50 five-speed manual gearbox as 'very good to excellent'. The indicated mileage of just 41,000 is apparently substantiated by the considerable level of accompanying paperwork. Treated to a recent Targa roof renovation using original Porsche supplied kit, 'B303 MYJ' also comes with an MOT valid to June 6, 2017. The 911 Carrera 3.2 made its debut at the 1983 Frankfurt Motorshow. Visually indebted to the outgoing 911 SC, it was available in Coupe, Targa and Cabriolet guises and wore a revised front valance complete with auxiliary driving lamps and a subtle 'Carrera' script on its engine lid. Estimated to be 80 percent new, the newcomer's 3164cc flat-six engine was credited with 231bhp and 209 lb ft of torque - sufficient output to slingshot the Porsche to 60 mph in 5.3 seconds and on to a top speed of 153mph. The brakes were enlarged, the top two gear ratios slightly raised, and a redesigned timing chain tensioner installed. By now all 911s were built with galvanised bodies, relieving the concern over corrosion.

2002 Renault Clio V6 Sport 2002 Renault Clio V6 Sport

2002 Renault Clio V6 Sport

Lot #49 (Sale Order 49 of 92)

- One former keeper and 42,000 miles from new, book pack, two keys - Seven services to date the most recent of which included a new cambelt and water pump (Feb 2016) - 1 of just 256 UK-supplied Phase 1 cars 'The Clio hasn't really needed the ebbing of time and the production of newer models to emerge as an icon; it was clear from the outset just how special this car was, as a story Peter Dron told makes clear: when the V6 was in development, VW heard whispers that Renault was making a 3-litre Clio. So, not to be outdone, the Germans went flat out to produce a Lupo that would also consume just 3 litres of fuel per 100km . . .' (EVO Magazine, January 2009) Harking back to the similarly configured Renault 5 Turbo homologation specials of the 1980s, the Renault Clio V6 Renault Sport was introduced in 2001. Based on an extensively reworked three-door Clio bodyshell, the transformation from front-engined, front-wheel drive hatchback to mid-engined, rear-wheel drive quasi-coupe was less than straightforward. Built by Tom Walkinshaw Racing, the Phase 1 variant provided thrills aplenty but was not known for its forgiving nature. Powered by a 2946cc V6 (227bhp / 220lbft) allied to six-speed manual transmission, the two-seater could reputedly sprint from 0-60mph in 6.2 seconds and onto 146mph. According to www.V6clio.net a total of 1,513 Phase 1s were made, 256 of which were produced for the UK market and all but 33 of those were, like the sale car, finished in Iceberg Silver. Rated by the vendor as 'very good' (bodywork, paintwork, Blue leather / suede upholstery) or 'excellent' (engine, gearbox, electrical equipment), 'V6 PBS' is further understood to have had just one previous keeper and to have covered just 42,000 miles from new. Treated to a new cambelt and water pump as part of its seventh documented service which was carried out on 12th February 2016 at 41,758 miles, this increasingly collectible Clio V6 is offered for sale with book pack, two keys and MOT certificate valid until May 2017.

1978 Alfa Romeo Giulia Nuova Super 1300

Lot #50 (Sale Order 50 of 92)

The boxy shape of 105 Series Giulia Saloons belied a low drag coefficient and, powered by the company's ubiquitous all-alloy, DOHC, four-cylinder engine of either 1300 or 1600cc, was capable of shaming many sporting two-seaters of the period. It is perhaps no surprise then that these delightful cars are now highly collectable and racing versions are still being campaigned with vigour. The range first saw the light of day in 1962 and was gradually updated until replaced by the Giulietta in 1978. This notably smart lefthand drive Nuova Super 1300 is therefore among the last of the line. It was imported from Italy in 2011 and benefited from a £14,000 restoration in 2014. The vendor currently considers the bodywork, Tan leather interior and twin-cam engine to be 'excellent', and the Black paintwork and manual transmission 'very good'. 'XUK 215S' comes complete with an MOT into January and a Club Storico Faentino passport.

- Originally supplied by Scothall BMW of Leeds, 11 service stamps, new timing belt c.1,500 miles ago - Front sports seats and Alpina goodies (badges, alloy wheels) understood to have been fitted from new Styled by Claus Luthe who had also been responsible for penning the NSU Ro80, the E30-generation of BMW's long-running 3-Series has become something of a cult classic. The flagship six-cylinder model - the 325i - was introduced in 1985 and powered by a notably smooth 2494cc SOHC engine that developed some 169bhp and 167lbft of torque. Weighing just over 1200kg, the 325i was a spirited performer with a quoted 130mph plus top speed. Facelifted in 1987, saloon versions of the E30 remained in production until 1991. Finished in Metallic Silver with Blue cloth upholstery and front sports seats, this particular example is described by the vendor as being in 'excellent' condition with regard to its engine, automatic transmission, bodywork, paintwork and interior trim (while, he rates the electrical equipment as 'good'). Supplied new by Scothall BMW of Leeds, its various Alpina badges and alloy wheels are understood to have been specified by the first owner. Boasting eleven service stamps, the 325i was treated to a new timing belt, stainless steel exhaust and fresh brake discs / pads in April 2015 at 89,875 miles (some 1,500 miles ago). A credit to its previous keepers, 'E818 VUA' has recently been serviced again and is offered for sale with a 'no advisories' MOT certificate.

1961 Austin-Healey Sprite 1961 Austin-Healey Sprite

1961 Austin-Healey Sprite

Lot #52 (Sale Order 52 of 92)

Thanks to its prominent, bonnet-mounted headlights, the original Sprite quickly became known as the Frogeye'. The little two-seater, designed by the Donald Healey Motor Company and built by BMC at the MG factory in Abingdon, was launched in Monte Carlo immediately prior to the 1958 Monaco Grand Prix. Some 129,000 Sprites were made between the 'Frog Eye' of 1958 and 1971. The bodywork was completely revamped for the MKII introduced in 1961, which featured conventional wings, bonnet and headlights. The rear was also updated and given an opening bootlid. Finished in light Blue with Blue upholstery, this particular example is offered from a long term deceased ownership and is in 'garage find' condition. Offered with original brown log book we are also informed the engine is free. Displaying '4393 MU' the Austin-Healey is currently not on the DVLA database. However it is understood the original Middlesex issued registration can be obtained back by the new keeper. A rewarding project.

2002 Porsche 911 Turbo

Lot #53 (Sale Order 53 of 92)

Interest in Porsche's apparently immortal 911 continues apace and the various Turbo models are among the most sought after of all. This very tidy-looking 996 from 2002 has had just two owners and covered 31,988 miles from new, as verified by the stamps of 11 services from Porsche Centre Solihull and the one carried out as recently as June this year by the Porsche Centre Wolverhampton. Finished in the popular combination of Seal Grey bodywork and Black leather interior trim, 'RF02 ZYR' comes with an MOT valid to July 25 next year, and bodywork, paintwork, interior trim, flat-six engine and five-speed Tiptronic transmission that's all classed by the vendor as being 'excellent' order. Debuted at the 1999 Frankfurt Salon, the 996 Turbo was available from late 2000 to 2005. Its twin turbochargers endowed the 3.6-litre engine with an output of 415bhp, which when coupled with four-wheel drive transmission as standard equipment made for a very potent all-weather weapon indeed.

1966 Austin-Healey 3000 MKIII 1966 Austin-Healey 3000 MKIII

1966 Austin-Healey 3000 MKIII

Lot #54 (Sale Order 54 of 92)

Originally an export model, this gorgeous 'Big' Healey vacated the production line in May 1966 bound for Philadelphia and stayed across the pond until repatriated in 2004; at which point the odometer stood at 74,500 miles. It then remained unused as part of a private collection until 2010, immediately prior to which it was treated to a professional ground-up restoration to show standard, and converted to righthand drive. It is finished in the classic combination of British Racing Green bodywork and Black interior trim and boasts overdrive and chrome wire wheels, as well as such performance upgrades as: stainless steel exhaust system, alloy fuel tank and radiator, oil cooler, high torque starter, and electronic ignition system. The mileage now totals an unwarranted 79,000 miles and the vendor currently considers the bodywork, paintwork, interior trim, straight-six engine and four-speed transmission as all being in 'very good condition'. The Healey comes complete with various receipts for work carried out and an MOT valid into November of next year. A seemingly fine example of the final iteration of one of the most sought after British classics. The 'Big' Healey enjoyed steady development, with the four-cylinder cars giving way to the 100-Six of 1956, which was replaced by the first of the 3000s in 1959. The final iteration was the 3000 MKIII, which was launched in October 1963 and mildly upgraded (Phase 2) in May the following year. The most powerful and luxurious of all the derivatives, it had lively performance courtesy of its 150bhp straight-six engine and featured such niceties as wind up windows and a walnut-veneer facia. 3000 production closed at the end of 1967 after 42,926 had been made, 17,712 of which were MKIIIs. Motor magazine's road test of the MKIII recorded a 0-60mph time of 9.8 seconds and a top speed of 122.5mph.

1996 Ferrari F355 Berlinetta 1996 Ferrari F355 Berlinetta

1996 Ferrari F355 Berlinetta

Lot #55 (Sale Order 55 of 92)

Reputedly capable of 0-60mph in 4.6 seconds, 0-100mph in 10.6 seconds and 185mph, the Pininfarina-styled F355 was an undoubted supercar. Introduced at the May 1994 Geneva Salon, the F355 could be had in fixed-head Berlinetta or targa-roofed GTS guises (though, a Spider later joined the range). Based around a robot-welded sheet steel monocoque equipped with all-round independent double-wishbone suspension, ventilated ABS disc brakes and power-assisted rack-and-pinion steering, the two-seater featured a new computer-controlled electronic damper system that self-adjusted depending upon the feedback gleaned from various road speed, brake pressure, suspension loading and steering sensors. Further enhanced by a ground-effects undertray, the F355 was revealed to be seven seconds a lap faster round Ferrari's Fiorano test track than the 348 (and four seconds quicker than a 512TR). Beautifully trimmed, the model's cosseting interior came with leather upholstery, electric windows and air-conditioning as standard. Longitudinally mid-mounted, its 3.5-litre quad cam' V8 employed five valves per cylinder, revved to 8,250rpm and developed 375bhp / 268lbft of torque. Faster yet more forgiving than its 348 predecessor, the F355 became an almost instant classic. Of the 4,915 Berlinettas made, just 496 were UK-supplied, RHD cars. Finished in Giallo Fly Yellow with Dark Blue leather upholstery, this particular example is described by the vendor as being in very good' (bodywork, paintwork) or excellent' (engine, six-speed manual gearbox, electrical equipment, interior trim) condition. Accompanied by an extensive main dealer and specialist service history contained within two folders (1996-2008 / 2009-2016), the F355 belonged to its last keeper for seven years. Treated to a new clutch and cambelt service during January 2016, A8 OWW' is understood to have covered just 62,400 miles from new. An early power steering and airbag equipped model that pleasingly retains its original tool kit, handbooks and keys, this sought after F355 manual also boasts a MOT certificate valid until July 2017.

1987 Ford Capri 280 Brooklands 1987 Ford Capri 280 Brooklands

1987 Ford Capri 280 Brooklands

Lot #56 (Sale Order 56 of 92)

Ford billed the Capri as 'The car you always promised yourself' and, happily for the Blue Oval, some 1.9 million customers agreed and bought one during the production years of 1974 to 1986. Worthwhile improvements came with the 1974 MKII models and the 1978 quadruple headlamp MKIII cars. Then in 1981 the 3-litre Essex-engined variants were dropped in favour of a new 2.8 Injection version. Power rose to 160bhp and torque to 162 lb ft, giving Ford a stylish four-seat Coupe with performance capable of shaming rivals of four times the cost. The original plan for the run-out of this European 'pony car' was to build 500 turbo examples with the assistance of independent specialist Turbo Technics. However, that didn't square with the 1,038 chassis still needing homes, so the ultimate decision was to christen them 'Capri 280' and equip each one with Brooklands Green paintwork, Red-piped Raven Black interior trim and 15inch alloy seven-spoke wheels. Around 10 percent of purchasers opted for the turbo conversion, while the remaining cars were normally aspirated. Even in unturbocharged form the performance was brisk, with 60mph available in 7.8 seconds and a top speed of 130mph. People who purchase Brooklands Capris tend to acknowledge them as something pretty special and treat them accordingly, so most remaining specimens are in pretty good order. That would certainly seem to be the case with 'E270 UYD', which has had six owners from new but is in clearly splendid unrestored condition, such that the vendor presently classes the bodywork, paintwork, interior trim, engine and transmission as being in 'excellent' condition. This fine Ford is now being offered complete with paperwork in support of the total mileage travelled, which stands at a mere 33,000. With Capri prices rising rapidly, this could be an example well worth squirrelling away for the future. Photographs copyright Phil Burdge

1987 Ford Sierra RS Cosworth

Lot #57 (Sale Order 57 of 92)

PLEASE NOTE: The chassis number for this vehicle is WF0EXXGBBEGR93447 and not as previously stated. - Prize winner exhibited at numerous shows on both sides of the Irish Sea - 13 services and 55,000 miles from new, original livery of Diamond White with Raven fabric upholstery - Graham Goode Racing Level 2 engine conversion and Mongoose stainless exhaust but otherwise standard Introduced at the 1985 Geneva Motor Show, the Ford Sierra RS Cosworth - the first Blue Oval product to wear a Cosworth badge - was the brainchild of Stuart Turner and his team. Conceived as a means of homologating the Sierra for Group A Touring Car Racing, the newcomer's three-door monocoque bodyshell was aerodynamically enhanced via a deep front air dam, side skirts and 'whale tail' rear spoiler. Powered by a Cosworth-designed 2-litre DOHC 16-valve turbo engine allied to Borg Warner T5 manual transmission, the rear-wheel drive hatchback was credited with developing some 204bhp and 205lbft. Reputedly capable of 0-60mph in 6.2 seconds and 149.5mph in standard tune, total production of the first generation RS Cosworth is thought to have amounted to just 5,542 cars. First registered to Ford dealer Kirbys of Wrexham, this particular example was maintained by them up to 29,547 miles. Serviced seven times thereafter (most recently on August 1st 2016), it has covered just over 55,000 miles from new. Uprated by Cosworth specialist Graham Goode Racing with their Level 2 engine conversion at 48,240 miles (29/9/06), the RS has since benefited from a Cometic WRC-type head gasket at 48,670 miles (15/4/07) not to mention a new cambelt / other drive belts and replacement water pump at 50,860 miles (29/6/10). Obviously much loved, the Fast Ford has been exhibited at numerous shows on both sides of the Irish Sea with its most recent prize being awarded at the 2012 Tatton Park Classic Car Show. Finished in its original livery of Diamond White with Raven Fabric cloth upholstery, 'D318 GBF' sports a Mongoose stainless steel exhaust and is described by the vendor as being in 'very good overall' condition. 2001 Porsche 911 GT2 Clubsport 2001 Porsche 911 GT2 Clubsport

2001 Porsche 911 GT2 Clubsport

Lot #58 (Sale Order 58 of 92)

- Believed one of only 16 UK supplied RHD Club Sports and featuring the original sales invoice for £131,710 - An extraordinary number of factory and dealer fitted extras including carbon pack, bucket seats, and special colour - Only one owner form new and just 55,000 recorded miles with a very comprehensive maintenance record When Porsche launched the 996 version of their 911 GT2 in 2000, the car swiftly gained iconic status as one of the most focused and fastest Porsche production cars ever manufactured. With the reported 462bhp produced from its twin turbo flat six engine being transferred to the road through the rear wheels only (the Turbo model had four wheel drive), performance was electrifying with 60mph being achieved from rest in just under 4 seconds and a top speed of about 198mph. The comprehensive history file on this rather special GT2 Club Sport contains both the handwritten order form and the sales invoice form AFN Porsche on London's Park Lane. They state that the options chosen when new were special paint, carbon package, leather console, carbon rear console, leather sport steering wheel and leather steering column casing, front floor mats, leather interior light, carbon door entrance panels, aluminium dials, carbon gearshift and handbrake, top-tint windscreen, centre console, Becker radio/CD, Club Sport package, leather bucket seats, coloured wheel centres, passenger six-point harness, and security glass covering. The total of the two-page invoice was a generous £131,710. The purchaser resided in Bayswater, West London, and was very much a Porsche enthusiast who raced a modern 911, but despite having his own workshop to maintain his racing car, he entrusted the supplying dealer's Reading workshops to maintain the car for the first four annual services, and Porsche Hatfield for the 2006 and 2007 services. Thereafter he had the car maintained in his own workshop and transferred the registration into the name of his racing team in March 2013. As well as the aforementioned invoices, the history file also contains many maintenance invoices, many expired MOT certificates, and the hand book pack. With only a reported 129 GT2 models imported by Porsche into the UK when new of which apparently only 16 were to Club Sport specification, this one owner car has a super provenance and is described by the vendor as being excellent in all respects. It is sure to attract the interest of Porsche collectors.

Lot #59 (Sale Order 59 of 92)

MG Cs may have had a rough ride in period, but good ones are now very sought after on the classic market, as enthusiasts increasingly appreciate what a fine car it is in its own right rather than viewing it as an MG B with a difference. This extremely smartly-presented example is finished in Dark Blue with a Black interior trim. Having received an extensive bodywork restoration previously 'PRE 550F' is fitted with power steering, uprated suspension, 5 speed gearbox, electronic ignition, high torque starter motor and kenlowe fan. More recently a new radiator and mohair hood have been fitted with new wire wheels, tyres and hubs. Showing 4 previous keepers and displaying a credible 85,050 miles the MG is offered with a large collection of invoices and old MOT certificates. The vendor currently grades the bodywork, paintwork, interior trim, six-cylinder engine and five-speed overdrive gearbox as all being in "very good" order. It comes complete with an MOT into March 2017.

1959 Triumph TR3A 1959 Triumph TR3A

1959 Triumph TR3A

Lot #60 (Sale Order 60 of 92)

The final iteration of the TR3, the TR3A, appeared in 1957. It was instantly recognisable by its wider front grille, exterior door handles and lockable boot handle. It continued in production until 1962, by which time 58,236 are said to have been built. Contemporary road tests achieved 0-60mph acceleration times of some 11.5 seconds and a mean top speed of a whisker under 110mph. '746 XUY' was repatriated from America in 2005 by marque specialist TR Bitz. Subject to a 'Chassis up' conversion to home market specification completed 2007 in 2014 a stainless-steel exhaust, alloy fuel tank, new boot rack and wire wheels including spare were fitted. Offered with a recently fitted battery and a collection of old MOT certificates this pleasing example is described in regards to its bodywork, engine, electrical equipment, paintwork, gearbox and interior trim as 'Very Good'.

1982 Land Rover 88 Series III

Lot #61 (Sale Order 61 of 92)

Since 2009 this very handsome short wheelbase Landie has formed part of the private collection of a professional Land Rover restorer, which is now being dispersed due to his retirement. We are told the corrosion-free chassis is original and protected by a light wax preservative. While in its current ownership the vehicle has benefited from a complete chassis-up overhaul and respray in Land Rover Light Green, plus the installation of new Exmoor interior trim and a full set of floor mats. The indicated 95,233 miles is understood to be genuine, though unwarranted, and the vendor currently views the bodywork, paintwork, Black interior trim, 2286cc petrol engine and transmission as all being in 'excellent' order. Following the demise of the Defender, Series Land Rovers have become even more sought after, and unmolested ones such as this, that has evidently 'seen no hard labour during its life', are becoming ever harder to find.

1988 Alfa Romeo 75 3.0 V6 Veloce

Lot #62 (Sale Order 62 of 92)

Introduced in 1985, Alfa's 75 four-door Saloon was the replacement for the Guilietta range and was its last model before the company was acquired by Fiat. Over the eight years of production it was offered with an array of engines, of which the 3.0-litre V6 petrol unit was the most powerful. The 75 was notable for the use of a transaxle, which endowed the car with an almost perfect 50/50 weight distribution. The 3.0 Veloce offered is a 1988 example finished in Red and trimmed in a contrasting mix of Grey Alcantara and cloth. In apparently splendid condition - the vendor considers the Alfa to be 'very good' throughout - it comes complete with every MOT from new, 18 stamps in the original service book (17 from the same garage), plus many invoices for additional maintenance and remedial work. It even has a copy of the original sales invoice and warranty registration from Ramponi Rockell, London W2. Treated to a replacement clutch, propshaft couplings and new cambelt in November 2015 at a cost of £3,670, the Saloon has seen very little use since.

1988 Aston Martin V8 Vantage X-Pack 1988 Aston Martin V8 Vantage X-Pack

1988 Aston Martin V8 Vantage X-Pack

Lot #63 (Sale Order 63 of 92)

The 170mph top speed of the Aston Martin V8 Vantage introduced in 1977 placed it firmly in the supercar league of the period. Its engine was shared with the Lagonda, but it used high-performance camshafts, increased compression ratio, larger inlet valves and bigger carburettors mounted on new manifolds for increased output. The straight-line performance was impressive by any standards, with the sprint from 0-60mph being accomplished in a relatively disdainful 5.3 seconds; a touch quicker than even the mighty Ferrari Daytona. Of course the Vantage name had previously been used on a number of high-performance versions of Aston Martin cars, but was now being employed to represent a model in its own right. And although based on the proven V8 model, numerous detail changes combined to create a unique driving experience for the newcomer. The first series of V8 Vantage models boasted 375bhp, plus series specific details such as: a closed-off bonnet vent, blanked-off grille into which was inserted a pair of powerful driving lights; and a separate rear spoiler - 38 of these were built (plus 13 so-called 'Cosmetics' versions for the US). The Oscar India (this stands for October Introduction) model, phased in during the Autumn of 1978, featured an integrated tea-tray spoiler and smoother bonnet bulge. Inside, a black leather-covered dash replaced the previous walnut one, though the wooden dashboard did find its way back into the Vantage during the eighties, in order to achieve a still more luxurious appearance. The Oscar India cars also received a slight increase in power to 390bhp. With some running changes, the Vantage line continued in production until 1989, with engine output rising to 403bhp from 1986 onwards. The 1986-1989 580 'X-Pack' was a further upgrade which, courtesy of Cosworth pistons and Nimrod racing-type cylinder heads, had an output of no less than 420bhp. For those who felt even that was insufficient, a 'big bore' after-market option was also available from Aston Martin Works Service, which featured 50mm carburettors (instead of the standard X-Pack 48mm ones) and a straight-through exhaust system that combined to give a thumping 432bhp (this was the same specification of engine as fitted to the limited-edition V8 Zagato). 16-inch Ronal split-rim wheels shod with 255/50 Goodyear Eagle tyres were another part of the X-Pack package. Just 137 X-Pack derivatives were made all told, making this a rare and desirable car by any standard. The example now offered is a 1988 righthand drive UK specification manual transmission Coupe. According to the vendor, 'it has been totally restored to concours condition and is now nicer than when it left the factory', and he seriously doubts if there is a better one anywhere. It is finished in the striking combination of Rolls-Royce Metallic Blue with Blue-piped Champagne Leather interior trim and logoed Blue carpets, and has covered approximately 72,000 miles in the care of its seven owners. The car was totally restored following an accident in 2001 and fitted with a replacement Vantage engine to correct X-Pack specification. As recently as April this year it was treated to a £7,000 service and shakedown at RS Williams, and is now presented in stunning mechanical and cosmetic condition throughout. 'F438 KGK' comes complete with a full service history from new and comprehensive file including all service and maintenance invoices etc. Realistically valued to reflect the fully repaired accident of many years ago, 'F438 KGK' represents a perhaps unrepeatable opportunity to acquire an example of the most desirable of all Aston Martin V8 Vantage models at a fraction of the current market value for these increasingly cherished British supercars.

1957 Daimler Conquest 1957 Daimler Conquest

1957 Daimler Conquest

Lot #64 (Sale Order 64 of 92)

The Conquest first saw the light of day in the Spring of 1953. Its chassis and running gear were developments of those underpinning the Lanchester 14, and power came from a 2,433cc straight-six engine producing 75bhp. Until 1956, Conquests were only available with Daimler's renowned four-speed preselector gearbox, however, from then onwards, there was the option of a conventional automatic unit which, when chosen, was paired with the more powerful 100bhp engine of the Conquest Century. This very handsome automatic transmission Conquest was first registered to a Mrs Annie Gould of Surrey and is finished in the pleasing combination of Silver over Blue after recently being re-painted and is trimmed in Blue leather. The indicated mileage of just 21,500 is believed genuine, the Daimler having been family owned for many years and by just three keepers since. It comes complete with original owner's handbook and service manual, service parts catalogue, original brown log book, collection of invoices and old MOTs.

1992 Bentley Turbo R 1992 Bentley Turbo R

1992 Bentley Turbo R

Lot #65 (Sale Order 65 of 92)

Unveiled at the 1985 Geneva Motorshow, Bentley's Turbo R was based on the chassis of the Mulsanne and powered by a modified version of the engine from the Mulsanne Turbo. However, the newcomer proved to be rather more than the sum of its parts, causing the respected American magazine Motor Trend to describe it as, 'the first Bentley in decades deserving of the famous name'. This handsome seven-owner example has served as a wedding car for the last five years, which helps explain the relatively low mileage of 58,894. It is finished in the striking combination of Vermillion Red bodywork and Red-piped Parchment-coloured hide interior trim. It sports the Bentley mesh radiator grille, unmarked alloy wheels shod with White-wall tyres, wool over-mats, electric memory seats and Alpine stereo system. 'J451 TNF' has just been serviced and comes complete with brand new MOT, original Bentley book pack, a collection of invoices and a degree of service history.

2002 BMW Alpina B3 3.3

Lot #66 (Sale Order 66 of 92)

According to the Alpina Register, this handsome righthand drive B3 is number 213 of a total UK production of 324; just 130 of which were Convertibles and only 26 of which built in 2002. The thinking man's alternative to BMW's ubiquitous M3, the B3 offered a unique blend of power and exclusivity. This prime specimen is finished in Orient Blue and trimmed in Grey leather. Its comprehensive specification includes: traction control; power steering; cruise control; air conditioning; electrically-controlled folding roof; electric windows; heated sports seats with height adjustment; parking aid; space-saver spare wheel; CD player; steering wheel gear selector; and original locking centre caps. Bought by the vendor as a summer toy, this very smartly presented four-owner BMW currently displays an unwarranted but entirely feasible 68,800 miles. It now requires a new home and comes complete with a full set of almost new Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tyres, extensive history file, alarm, immobiliser and an MOT valid into March of next year.

1968 Daimler V8-250

Lot #67 (Sale Order 67 of 92)

Good V8-250s are keenly sought by those believing its lighter engine results in superior handling to its Jaguar sibling - this could well be the car for them. In the same ownership for 34 years, it has apparently covered a mere 22,500 miles and largely been restored, serviced and maintained by its keeper, a retired Chartered Mechanical Engineer and long-standing member of the Daimler and Lanchester Owners' Club - 'whatever needed doing was done'. Significant body repairs were carried out in 1985/1986, when the colour was changed from Silver Grey to Dove Grey. It was then mainly stored for two decades from 1990, during which spring hangers, jacking points, sills etc were all attended to. The power steering was overhauled in 2009, and the automatic transmission by Graham Whitehouse and engine similarly refreshed in 2010 by Russ Carpenter. A concours award winner, 'VMC 900G' comes complete with original toolkit, 34 years of receipts, tax discs and MOTs, plus an MOT valid into October 2017.

1933 Rolls-Royce 20/25 Sedanca Coupe by Gurney Nutting 1933 Rolls-Royce 20/25 Sedanca Coupe by Gurney Nutting

1933 Rolls-Royce 20/25 Sedanca Coupe by Gurney Nutting

Lot #68 (Sale Order 68 of 92)

Maintaining its policy of offering one 'Large' and one 'Small' model (the terms being purely relative), Rolls-Royce introduced the 20/25 in 1929 as a successor to the outgoing 20. Though the newcomer was aimed at owner drivers, many examples were sold to customers with chauffeurs. Power came from an enlarged version of the straight-six unit used in the 20. Now of 3,699cc, it made for swifter acceleration and a higher top speed of up to 75mph. The four-speed manual gearbox featured the manufacturer's traditional righthand change and was equipped with synchromesh on the top two ratios from 1932 onwards. The substantial chassis sported rigid axles front and rear suspended on semi-elliptic leaf springs. The four-wheeled braking was mechanically servo assisted. Bodywork for the 20/25, was to the taste of the customer, and Gurney Nutting, Park Ward, Thrupp & Maberly, Mulliner and Hooper were among the many coachbuilders selected to clothe these fine cars. Nearly 4,000 20/25 chassis were produced, making it the company's best-selling model between the wars. The English coachbuilder J Gurney Nutting & Co Limited was founded in 1918 and its first designs were displayed at the 1920 London Motor Show. The two developments that helped propel the company to early prominence from 1924 were a licence to employ the Weymann technique of body construction and the arrival of Scottish designer AF McNeil, who joined from Cunard. In 1928 the Prince of Wales commissioned a Weymann body on a 41/2-litre Bentley that featured a high waistline and shallow windows for added privacy. The so-called 'Prince of Wales' body style became a best seller, and in 1931 Nuttings was appointed 'Motor Body Builders to His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales', an honour that endured until 1935. By the early '30s Nutting had dropped the Weymann style of fabrication in favour of more rounded, traditionally-built coachwork and so began the company's heyday of Saloon, Coupe de Ville and Sedanca de Ville bodies on Rolls-Royce and Bentley chassis. The decidedly elegant lines of this lovely Sedanca Coupe is a perfect case in point, which is one of only 22 manufactured to the specifications of London Rolls-Royce dealer Captain H.R. Owen, that are therefore also known as 'Owen Sedancas' - purchasers of these grand models included three sons of King George V and Prince Ali Khan, the husband of film star Rita Hayworth. It is understood that Chassis GSY20 was originally ordered with Thrupp & Maberley coachwork, but the buyer, an A R Tillotson, perhaps swayed by the kudos surrounding the royally patronised Gurney Nutting Sedanca Coupe, switched the build to that design, which came off test on May 4 1933. Not too much is known about the motorcar's subsequent history. It is believed to have spent time in the United States and was the subject of an older restoration that has stood the test of time well, displaying only a few minor marks and cracks in the paintwork. It is these days finished in the stately combination of Dark Green (Brewster Green or a near match) over Black and trimmed in Tan hide, and was acquired by the vendor in 1991 as an addition to his already sizeable private collection. It featured in the Miller's Guide for 1991/1992 (p.280) and is understood to have been exhibited at the RREC's Castle Ashby club event on several occasions, won a prize at Techno Classica Essen, and participated in this year's Classic Days at Schloss Dyck event. This eminently practical Coupe, with its wide doors and front seats that fold well forward to aid rear seat entry, has many notable features including: twin wing-mounted spare wheels, above the nearside one of which is mounted a rearview mirror; the comprehensive vanity units mounted either side of the rear seat; Gurney Nutting's trademark beading running from the radiator grille to each rear wheelarch. GSY20 is superbly presented by the vendor who currently considers the Coupe coachwork, paintwork, interior trim, straight-six engine and manual gearbox to all be in 'excellent' order. A rare opportunity.

2002 Porsche 911 Turbo 2002 Porsche 911 Turbo

2002 Porsche 911 Turbo

Lot #69 (Sale Order 69 of 92)

Introduced in 1999, the 996-generation of Porsche's evergreen 911 was styled by Pinky Lai. Boasting a monocoque bodyshell that was some forty-five percent stiffer yet lighter than that of its predecessor, the newcomer also boasted improved aerodynamics and a more ergonomic interior. Perhaps best known for its switch from air- to water-cooling, the 996 was plagued by engine woes. The exception to the rule was the Turbo variant which used an evolution of the Le Mans-winning (and nigh-on bombproof) Metzger flat-six. Displacing some 3.6 litres when fitted to the 996 Turbo, this fearsome powerplant developed a quoted 414bhp and 413lbft of torque. Allied to either six-speed manual or five-speed Tiptronic transmission, it reputedly enabled the 2+2-seater to accelerate from 0-60mph in 3.9 seconds and onto 189mph. With four-wheel drive, Porsche Stability Management and brutally effective four-wheel ABS disc brakes, the flagship 911 was among the very fastest A-to-B' cars that money could buy. An altogether more brutish looking machine than its normally aspirated siblings, the 996 Turbo sported gaping air intakes to its front bumper, bi-xenon headlights, flared rear wheel arches, 18in alloys and a jutting rear spoiler. A near dynamic match for its 997-generation successor, the 996 Turbo will surely be better appreciated by future generations. Finished in Black Metallic with Red leather upholstery, this particular example is described by the vendor as being in excellent' condition with regard to its engine, Tiptronic transmission, electrical equipment, interior trim, bodywork and paintwork. Stated to have covered just 36,500 miles from new, the last of its eight services was apparently carried out on May 10th 2016. Further benefiting from fresh brake discs and pads, the distinctively registered S10 OLF' is said to drive superbly'. Worthy of close inspection, this handsome 996 Turbo is offered for sale with key set, book pack, service history and MOT certificate valid until May 2017.

Available with a choice of either diesel or petrol power and two- or four-wheel drive, the 'baby' Range Rover featured parent company Land Rover's acclaimed Terrain Response system as standard (electronic stability control, roll stability control and traction control). Powered by a 2-litre DOHC turbocharged engine, the flagship petrol model - the four-wheel drive 2.0 Si4 - was credited with developing 237bhp and 251lbft of torque. Reputedly capable of 0-60mph in 7.1 seconds and 135mph when fitted with six-speed automatic transmission, its outward appearance was enhanced in Dynamic trim by a more aggressive front fascia and lowered suspension. 2012 Bentley Continental GTC

Lot #71 (Sale Order 71 of 92)

PLEASE NOTE: This lot possesses a MOT certificate valid until 28th November 2017. PLEASE NOTE: This lot is not accompanied by a V5C Registration Document. The new owner will have to apply for a replacement one by completing a V62 form and submitting it to the DVLA together with a fee of £25. - Part of an extensive London-based collection from new (one former keeper shown on HPi due to a registration number change) - Second generation Continental GTC, 6-litre twin-turbocharged W12 engine and quoted 195mph top speed - Purchased from Jack Barclay for £175,000 and just 500 recorded miles 'In fact, driving the car will make anyone feel just a bit more sophisticated. Inside the luxurious cabin furnished with highest quality soft-touch leather, cool-touch metals and deep pile carpets, plus intricate wood veneers that surround and accent the dash and the doors, you feel like you're royalty on wheels. With the sun shining, the soft-top down and the wind flowing freely around the cabin, it's hard to beat this driving experience . . . While the Bentley Continental GTC screams opulence, car enthusiasts will still appreciate its sporting side. After all, Bentley has always been known as a driver's car. Thanks to 40/60 rear biased all-wheel drive, front double wishbone and rear multilink suspension acting all-around with Pirelli PZero 275/35 ZR-21 tires (20-in. standard), not only does the GTC turn into curves with composure, it is also ready to accelerate out with immediacy via a quickshift ZF 6-speed automatic transmission' (Road and Track magazine's Patrick Hong writing about the second generation GTC in October 2011). Introduced at the New York Motor Show in April 2006, the Bentley Continental GT Convertible (or GTC) proved an immediate sales success. Determined to engineer the most torsionally rigid open four-seater that money could buy, the Crewe manufacturer (a) incorporated additional steel tubing within the newcomer's A-posts and windscreen frame, (b) reinforcing its sills and (c) cross braced the floorplan to a greater degree. The result was a class leading 16,595ft-lb per degree. A very near match in dynamic terms for its Coupe sibling, the Convertible utilised the same crushingly powerful twin-turbocharged 6-litre W12 engine, Torsen-based permanent four-wheel drive system, massive ABS-backed disc brakes and sophisticated all-round independent air suspension. Electro-hydraulically operated, the Bentley's luxuriously padded fabric roof not only stowed away neatly but also provided almost limousine levels of refinement. Reputedly capable of over 190mph when topless, the GTC featured two sturdy steel hoops concealed beneath its rear headrests which could be deployed within fractions of a second if the onboard computer sensed an impending roll. Arguably more of a 2+2-seater than a true four-seater, the model could raise or lower its hood at speeds of up to 20mph (a nice party piece in slow moving traffic). Unveiled at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show, the second generation GTC could be had in W12 or V8 powered guises. The former was reworked to develop a quoted 567bhp and 516lbft of torque, outputs sufficient for a claimed 0-60mph time of 4.4 seconds and a 195mph top speed. As well as various mechanical refinements, the second generation cars also benefited from a mild facelift which only served to make Dirk Van Braekel's styling look even more muscular yet elegant. Offered for sale with clear title by order of the High Court, this particular example has formed part of an extensive London-based private collection since new. Purchased from Jack Barclay for £175,000, its lavish specification included a rear view camera, three-spoke two-tone hide trimmed steering wheel, wind deflector, neck warmer, ventilation and massage function to front seats, bright chromed lower bumper matrix, upgraded Madrona veneer, Nav Trak, TV Tuner to infotainment system, Driving Specification (Polished) wheels, red-painted brake callipers, lambswool rugs, embroidered Bentley emblems, Head Cross Stitching to door panels, Porcelain paintwork and Linen leather upholstery with Hotspur secondary leather inserts. An HPi check reveals that the Bentley is not recorded on their stolen, finance, security watch or insurance write off databases. Entrusted to Jack Barclay for its first service at 298 miles on 31st October 2013, this stunning Continental GTC currently displays less than 500 miles and will hopefully possess a fresh MOT certificate by the time of sale. 2011 Rolls-Royce Ghost 2011 Rolls-Royce Ghost

2011 Rolls-Royce Ghost

Lot #72 (Sale Order 72 of 92)

PLEASE NOTE: This lot possesses a MOT certificate valid until 27th November 2017. We love its style, its sumptuousness and the attention to detail that one would expect from a Rolls-Royce. The interior is a very different experience to that in the Phantom, more driver-focused as the Ghost is likely to be driven more by its owners. Yet there is almost as much room in the back and it is no less grand than its bigger brother. Even the rear-hinged back doors are present and correct. Unsurprisingly, it's no Phantom, but instead the less grand, more intimate kind of Rolls-Royce it always needed to be' (Autocar magazine, 2010). Previewed at the Geneva and Shanghai Motor Shows but formally unveiled in Frankfurt, the Rolls-Royce Ghost was styled by Andreas Thurner. Intended to complement the imperious Phantom, the newcomer was more aesthetically balanced (albeit at the cost of a lesser road presence). Engineered by Helmut Riedl who had overseen the development of its larger sibling, the Ghost was based around a steel monocoque chassis equipped with such advanced fully-independent air suspension that it could detect a rear seat passenger moving from one side to the other and retune accordingly. Maintaining composure was an important consideration given that the svelte saloon's 6.6 litre twin-turbocharged V12 engine produced some 562bhp and 575lbft of torque. Lighter, nimbler and more powerful than the Phantom, the Ghost was reputedly capable of 0-60mph in 4.7 seconds and 155mph (limited). Though, the standard fitment of ZF's excellent eight-speed automatic transmission allowed drivers to progress as serenely or rapidly as they saw fit. A touch bolder in its choice of fixtures and fittings, the Ghost's cabin nonetheless proved a very welcoming cocoon from the outside world. Features shared with the Phantom included the provision of rear-hinged 'coach' doors to access the back seat and a 'floating' RR emblem contained within each wheel centre which remained vertical until the UK's legal motorway speed limit had been exceeded. Still one of the finest luxury saloons money can buy (the model's current list price sans options is £222,888), the 'baby' Rolls-Royce is certainly worthy of its illustrious moniker. Offered for sale with clear title by order of the High Court, this particular example has formed part of an extensive London-based private collection since 13th October 2011 when it was purchased from Rolls-Royce Motor Cars London for £212,000. Some five months' old at the time, the Ghost had covered just 218 miles. Finished in Gunmetal Metallic with Black leather upholstery, the former offset by a Silver Satin bonnet / windscreen surround and the latter by a Seashell transmission tunnel / door card inserts, 'LJ11 JEU' was built with the following extras: Driver's Assistance Package One (Head-Up Display, Lane Departure Warning), High Beam Assistance, Adaptive Headlights, Camera System, Rear Theatre Configuration, Multimedia Changer, Comfort Entry System, Panoramic Sunroof, RR emblem to all headrests in contrasting Seashell, Individual Seats / Contrast Stitching, Television Tuner, 20in Alloy Wheels, Chromed Visible Exhaust, Extended Leather, Polished Stainless Steel Tread Plates, Picnic Tables and Lambswool Footmats. An HPi check reveals that (a) the Ghost has had one former keeper and (b) it is not recorded on their stolen, finance, security watch or insurance write off databases. While a UK Government Vehicle MOT History search shows that the luxury saloon was MOT tested at 1,668 (2/6/2014) and 2,223 (1/5/2015) miles. Now displaying some 2,800 miles to its odometer, this handsome Ghost will hopefully possess a fresh MOT certificate by the time of sale.

1982 Rolls-Royce Corniche Convertible 1982 Rolls-Royce Corniche Convertible

1982 Rolls-Royce Corniche Convertible

Lot #73 (Sale Order 73 of 92)

PLEASE NOTE: The cherished registration number visible in the photos - '7R' - does not form part of the sale. However, it is available to purchase by separate negotiation. PLEASE NOTE: This lot possesses a MOT certificate valid until 24th November 2017. - One owner from new and less than 11,000 recorded miles Rolls-Royce registered the Corniche name in the 1930s and apparently assigned it to a prototype based on the Bentley MKV, but the model was never progressed due to the onset of World War Two. The moniker was finally first employed in 1971 on the Coupe and Convertible versions of the Silver Shadow. In common with the Shadow, the newcomer was penned by in-house designer John Polwhele Blatchley and the underbody and floorpan crafted by Pressed Steel Fisher. Initial assembly (including alloy bonnet, bootlid and doors) was thereafter entrusted to Mulliner Park Ward of Willesden, London - by then a wholly-owned division of Rolls-Royce. At this stage the cars were transported to the main factory in Crewe for the installation of the running gear before returning to London for the trimming, painting and finishing. Power was provided by the company's venerable 6.75-litre V8, whose origins could be traced back to the 1950s. This was mated to a GM Turbo Hydramatic 400 three-speed automatic transmission. Suspension was independent by coil springs all round, augmented by a Citroen-originated hydraulic self-levelling system. Braking was by discs, with ventilated units being phased in for 1972. Introduced some five years later, the Series II version of the Corniche gained the same rack and pinion steering and improved front suspension geometry as its Silver Shadow II sibling. Further improved in 1979 / 1980, the coachbuilt cars adopted mineral oil for their hydraulic systems and a modified rear suspension set-up that presaged the one that the Silver Spirit would later adopt. The vast majority of the 2,006 Series II Corniche Convertibles sold between 1977 and 1987 were to left-hand drive specification. Offered for sale with clear title by order of the High Court, this particular example has formed part of an extensive London-based private collection since it was first UK registered on 4th January 1982. Finished in Caf£ au Lait over Ivory with Sandalwood leather upholstery and a Fawn hood, the Rolls-Royce's chassis number - DRH0050699 - is consistent with a 1980 build date. An HPi check reveals that (a) the Corniche Convertible has had no former keepers and (b) it is not recorded on their stolen, finance, security watch or insurance write off databases. While a UK Government Vehicle MOT History search shows that the four-seater soft-top has seemingly covered less than 1,000 miles over the past decade. MOT tested on 31st May 2006 at an indicated 9,737 miles, its odometer has yet to read 10,600 miles. The overall condition of the Rolls-Royce is consistent with a low mileage vehicle and given the minimal distances covered by its stablemates, we feel there is a good chance that this very stylish Corniche Convertible has covered less than 11,000 miles from new. Offered for sale with sundry old MOTs and service records dating back to 2000 (8,244 miles) and 2002 (8,438 miles) respectively, chassis number DRH0050699 comes with its original handbook, guarantee letter. It is hoped that this apparently very low mileage, one owner motor car will possess a fresh MOT certificate by the time of sale. PLEASE NOTE: The cherished registration number visible in the photos - '7R' - does not form part of the sale. However, it is available to purchase by separate negotiation.

2011 Bentley Continental Flying Spur Speed 2011 Bentley Continental Flying Spur Speed

2011 Bentley Continental Flying Spur Speed

Lot #74 (Sale Order 74 of 92)

PLEASE NOTE: This lot possesses a MOT certificate valid until 23rd November 2017. - One former keeper and 11,000 recorded miles - The world's fastest production saloon upon its launch in July 2008 with a claimed 200mph top speed 'There is much to love about the Bentley Flying Spur: it creates a sense of occasion like few other cars at any price, and offers an endearing blend of performance, potential top speed and braking power. The interior sets it apart from the more mainstream rivals, and there can be no denying that it fulfills its remit as a big, lavish limo. It's even fun to drive, in a brutish kind of way' (Autocar magazine). Boasting a 200mph top speed, the Speed variant of Bentley's Continental Flying Spur became the world's fastest saloon car upon its launch at the July 2008 London Motor Show. As well as 600bhp, the newcomer's reworked 6-litre W12 twin-turbocharged engine produced a constant 553lbft of torque all the way from 1,700rpm to 5,600rpm. Allied to six-speed ZF automatic transmission (complete with paddle shifters), it enabled the four-door, four-wheel drive Crewe missile to accelerate from 0-60mph in 4.5 seconds. Reputedly capable of generating 0.95g of lateral acceleration on a 300-foot skidpan, the model also benefited from a more responsive air suspension set-up (10mm lower ride height, thicker anti-roll bars, stiffer dampers), solid-mounted front subframe, 20-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels, retuned speed-sensitive Servotronic steering plus a more progressive Electronic Stability Programme. Visually distinguished by dark-tinted chrome matrix inserts to its front grille and lower air intakes, the Speed also sported wider rifled exhaust tips, special kickplates to all four apertures, a three-spoke steering wheel and diamond patterned leather to its seat facings and door cards. Among the more impressive options available for the super saloon was Bentley's Adaptive Cruise Control which utilised a long-range radar sensor mounted in the lower front grille to monitor the road ahead. If a slower moving vehicle came within range then the ACC system would automatically lock onto it and brake and accelerate the Contintental Flying Spur Speed as necessary so as to maintain whatever 'time gap' its driver had pre-determined. Offered for sale with clear title by order of the High Court, this particular example has formed part of an extensive London-based private collection since 4th August 2011 when it was purchased from Jack Barclay for £134,000. Finished in Dark Sapphire with Magnolia leather upholstery, the Bentley has since been re-registered as 'X12 AAA' and had its external appearance augmented by red pinstripes. An HPi check reveals that (a) the Bentley has had one former keeper and (b) it is not recorded on their stolen, finance, security watch or insurance write off databases. While a UK Government Vehicle MOT History search shows that the Flying Spur Speed was MOT tested at 9,113 (20/12/2013), 10,262 (30/12/2014) and 10,836 (22/12/2015) miles. Now displaying some 11,000 miles to its odometer, this imposing luxury super saloon is fitted with Bentley's Adaptive Cruise Control and will hopefully possess a fresh MOT certificate by the time of sale (the current one expires on 4th January 2017). Offered for sale with owner's handbook, service handbook (recording services at 4,932, 7,487, 9,106 and 10,255 miles), Jack Barclay Used Vehicle Contract, various quick reference guides and sundry paperwork.

2012 Ferrari California 2012 Ferrari California

2012 Ferrari California

Lot #75 (Sale Order 75 of 92)

PLEASE NOTE: The cherished registration number visible in the photos - 'OOO5' - does not form part of the sale. However, it is available to purchase by separate negotiation. PLEASE NOTE: This lot possesses a MOT certificate valid until 24th November 2017. PLEASE NOTE: Since the catalogue was published the California has been connected to a Ferrari diagnostic machine which traced the 'engine control system failure' fault code to a duff spark plug. The spark plug has now been replaced and the fault code cleared. - One owner from new and 500 recorded miles - Supplied by HR Owen at a cost of £166,000 'Despite its name and obvious main market, this is an old fashioned GT car in the best Ferrari tradition. While it is undoubtedly modern, the California harks back to a time when Ferrari had stopped making racing cars for the road or road cars you could race and just made really beautiful road cars. These models are prized by Americans who value their posing potential, and admired by the British who don't like to be seen to be trying too hard and like to justify their high performance machines with a modicum of practicality. Sometimes, it's nice to go out without your underpants outside your trousers. The California doesn't shout "Look at me!" It just oozes good taste' (Andrew English, The Telegraph, 16th October 2008). Introduced at the Paris Salon in 2008, the Ferrari California had been conceived as a grand tourer rather than an out-and-out sports car. Intended to appeal to those who might otherwise opt for a Bentley, Aston Martin or Mercedes-Benz, it was the Maranello marque's first design to feature the following: a front-mounted V8 engine, two-piece folding metal roof, dual clutch seven-speed transmission, direct fuel injection and multi-link rear suspension. Styled by Pininfarina and subject to over 1,000 hours of wind tunnel testing, the newcomer utilised aluminium for both its chassis and bodywork construction. Related to that in the F430, its 4297cc 'quad cam', 32-valve V8 developed some 453bhp and 358lbft of torque and was allied to the aforementioned dual clutch seven-speed transmission as standard (though, Ferrari would fit a six-speed manual to special order). Despite being among the least expensive models in the range, the California boasted carbon ceramic disc brakes and the traction control system from the marque's flagship 599. Plus it could still sprint from 0-60mph in 3.9 seconds and onto 193mph. Less demanding to drive than its siblings and therefore more enjoyable during everyday 'real world' motoring, the notional 2+2-seater more than fulfilled its brief of attracting new customers to the Ferrari fold. Updated during 2012, the California lost 30kg in weight and gained an extra 30bhp and 11lbft of torque (which dropped its quoted 0-60mph time to 3.8 seconds), while 2014 saw the introduction of the revised California T powered by a twin-turbo 3.9 litre V8. To quote Autocar's contemporary review of the normally aspirated California: 'We'd take it ahead of a Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder and even an Aston Martin DBS Volante - both more expensive than the Ferrari, both similarly quick, but both without the blend of everyday usability and outright enjoyment'. Offered for sale with clear title by order of the High Court, this particular example has formed part of an extensive London-based private collection since new. Purchased from H.R. Owen (South Kensington) for £166,000, its impressive specification included a yellow rev counter, aluminium foot rest, iPod installation, cruise control, carbon fibre driver zone and steering wheel, carbon fibre central tunnel, Beige central tunnel and armrest, leather / alcantara trim / Daytona, Scuderia Ferrari shield, Magnaride Dual Mode, Red Brake Callipers, parking sensors, interior / exterior electrochromic mirrors, special stitching and 20in Diamond Finished Wheel Rims. An HPi check reveals that (a) the Ferrari has had no former keepers and (b) it is not recorded on their stolen, finance, security watch or insurance write off databases. Entrusted to Jack Barclay for some £2,700 worth of additional colour coding, a UK Government Vehicle MOT History search shows that the high-performance GT was first MOT tested at 450 miles on 30th March 2015. Now displaying just over 500 miles to its odometer, this highly presentable California will hopefully possess a fresh MOT certificate by the time of sale. The 'engine control system failure' light currently illuminated on its dashboard will be investigated at the same time. As of 23rd November 2016 we had been advised that the fault code was most likely prompted by a weak battery but will have an update for interested parties come auction day. Offered for sale with H.R. Owen New Vehicle Invoice, original book pack (recording a service at 360 miles) and sundry paperwork.

Voted 'Most Elegant in Class' at the Rolls-Royce Enthusiasts' Club's Annual Rally in 2006, the Wraith was checked over by Fiennes prior to Mr Wardle's purchase and thereafter maintained by A&S Engineering. Reportedly the veteran of ten European rallies, the past few hundred miles have seen 'LMC 705' entrusted to The Chelsea Workshop for attention to its ignition system, inlet manifold / exhaust gaskets, dynamo / starter motor brushes and inner tubes etc (31/05/13) plus a full service (19/07/13). 1924 Dodge Brothers Roadster 1924 Dodge Brothers Roadster

1924 Dodge Brothers Roadster

Lot #78 (Sale Order 78 of 92)

- Rare right hand drive Roadster imported from Sydney Australia, and UK registered in April 1993 - Described as being in unrestored condition and possibly "requires light cosmetic restoration at the new owners discretion" - One recorded UK owner and in storage from 2010, and reportedly recently serviced and "all operational" This rare two-seater roadster version of a Dodge Brothers is believed to have been sold new in Australia, hence its right hand drive steering configuration. The vendor informs us that it was imported to England from Sydney, Australia, and first registered here in April 1993. Showing just one recorded UK keeper on the V5C, the car was acquired by our vendor from the recorded keeper in December 2015 and has shared heated garage space with a few other veteran and vintage cars since. Reportedly this is "one of the first cars to feature a 12 volt electrical system and starts on the button". Apparently the car was exhibited regularly at shows until 2010 when poor health meant it was stored until our vendor acquired it. We have been informed that since being brought out of storage the car has been serviced and is now "all operational". Described by the vendor as being in "good" to "very good" condition in regards to the bodywork, engine, electrical equipment, gearbox, and interior trim, with the paintwork being described as "average". The car still has its Sydney dealers badge on the dashboard and is supplied with a mechanics hand book.

1951/53 Rolls-Royce Silver Wraith Limousine 1951/53 Rolls-Royce Silver Wraith Limousine

1951/53 Rolls-Royce Silver Wraith Limousine

Lot #79 (Sale Order 79 of 92)

Body design 8381 on chassis BLW15 was considered by renowned coachbuilder Hooper & Co as the prototype for its popular Touring Limousine - the so-called Empress line. Certainly the basis of what turned into the most imposing of motorcars was a bespoke Phantom IV-esque chassis of considerable 145-inch wheelbase mated to Silver Wraith mechanicals - i.e. it is powered by Rolls' 4566cc straight-six engine mated to the company's standard four-speed manual gearbox. The Limousine was built to the order of W H Gatty Saunt - a prosperous industrialist - and purchased through Caffyns of Eastbourne, Sussex. Believed to be the first British car ever equipped with heat-reflecting, tinted glass, 'BHC 888' was duly exhibited at the 1953 Earls Court Motor Show, where it was awarded the gold medal for design; a feat it repeated when displayed by the BARC at the ensuing Grand Prix d'Honneur in Paris. The Rolls' buff log book confirms it was originally registered to the Amalgamated Roadstone Company Ltd on behalf of Mr Gatty Saunt, and remained so until March 1966 when it passed to Dupont Brothers Ltd, and then to diamond dealer Egar Parser in September 1968; who retained it for 33 years. In more recent times, it formed part of an exclusive West Country wedding hire fleet and was immortalised by a starring role in the 2011 Marilyn Monroe biopic, 'My Week with Marilyn'; a film based on books by Colin Clark. A marque specialist service and comprehensive checkover have been carried within the last three years. Unfortunately the Rolls has also endured an accident and is being offered for sale with a degree of damage to its nearside. On the brighter side, it also comes with a DVD of 'My Week with Marilyn', a signed copy of Clark's memoirs, and a vintage Marilyn tea towel.

1968 Jaguar E-Type 4.2 Roadster 1968 Jaguar E-Type 4.2 Roadster

1968 Jaguar E-Type 4.2 Roadster

Lot #80 (Sale Order 80 of 92)

PLEASE NOTE: The interior on this lot is Black and the year of manufacture is 1968 Introduced in 1968, the Jaguar E-Type Series II cars sported revised bumper and light arrangements. Less noticeable was the increased size of the front air intake that in conjunction with dual cooling fans made the newcomer better behaved in hot weather and heavy traffic. With its 4235cc engine developing a quoted 265bhp and 283lbft of torque, the Series II was reputedly capable of nearly 150mph and 0-60mph in 7.5 seconds. According to its accompanying Heritage Certificate, this left hand drive example was originally finished in Primrose Yellow with Beige interior - the colour scheme it pleasingly wears today. Manufactured on 22nd August 1969, it was dispatched to Herrington Motors of New York and purchased by its first and only private keeper, a Sarah J Hammer who retained the Jaguar until 2014. Dry stored for twenty-nine years, an illness prompted Ms Hammer to take the car off the road in 1985 at which time it had covered just 45,000 miles (as confirmed by a letter on file). Subject to a mechanical overhaul by Klaus Motors LLC of New York in 2014, the Jaguar was shipped to the UK thereafter and has since been treated to a new hood / carpets, repaint in Primrose Yellow, stainless steel exhaust, full service, fresh brake servo, replacement brake and clutch master cylinders and five new period-style Dunlop tyres. A matching chassis and engine numbers example, the Jaguar is accompanied by the aforementioned Heritage Certificate, collection of invoices, handbook and original wallet with service book, Nova document confirming all taxes paid and a current MOT with 'no advisories' expiring 10th April 2017. Presenting very nicely, this highly original and unusually low mileage Series II Roadster is awaiting a second keeper to register it in their name. A rare opportunity.

1967 Jaguar MK II 3.8 Litre 1967 Jaguar MK II 3.8 Litre

1967 Jaguar MK II 3.8 Litre

Lot #81 (Sale Order 81 of 92)

Few would argue that the ultimate specification for a MKII Jaguar includes the 3.8-litre engine teamed with a manual gearbox plus overdrive. This home market example from 1967 ticks those boxes and more, as it also features power assisted steering, limited slip differential and an improved transmission. Finished in Dark Blue and trimmed in Grey hide, it was apparently stored from 1978 to 1988, at which point a two phase restoration was commenced, the final stage of which was carried out by Vicarage Motors. Since 1993, the MKII has resided in the Netherlands and its keeper throughout those years currently grades the bodywork, paintwork, XK engine and overdrive gearbox as 'very good' and the interior trim as 'good'. Featuring notably slimmer roof pillars than its MKI forebear, the immortal Jaguar MKII was as airy on the inside as it was elegant on the outside. Its monocoque bodyshell was equipped with independent coil-sprung front suspension and a well located live rear axle, 12 inch disc brakes all round and recirculating ball steering. The model could be specified with a 2.4, 3.4 or 3.8-litre version of Jaguar's race-proved, DOHC inline, six-cylinder XK engine. The interior was quintessentially British with its sumptuous leather-covered seats, polished wood facia and door cappings, comprehensive instrumentation and impressive row of auxiliary toggle switches. The attention to detail and build quality of the MKII were remarkable for the price being asked (just £1,779 0s 10d including taxes even for the 3.8) - these cars punched above their weight. Equipped with the 220bhp 3.8-litre engine, the Jaguar was capable of sprinting to 60mph in as little as 8.5 seconds and on to a top speed of 125mph. It was also extremely popular with the general public, bank robbers and the police alike, outselling its smaller-engined siblings, with 30,141 being produced between 1959 and 1967.

2013 Aston Martin V12 Vantage 2013 Aston Martin V12 Vantage

2013 Aston Martin V12 Vantage

Lot #82 (Sale Order 82 of 92)

Unveiled in 2009, Aston Martin's Vantage V12 was powered by a 5935cc aluminium alloy unit developing some 510bhp, good enough to propel it from 0 - 60mph in 4.1 seconds with a nominal top speed of 190mph. An instant hit with road testers, its power and refinement led some to describe it as the best Aston Martin ever. Slightly shorter than Porsche's 911, whose buyers Aston wished to target, styling cues from the factory's successful N24 race programme including front splitter, side-skirts and flick-up on the boot were incorporated into the design. Despite the extra weight of the V12 engine, which had been shoehorned into the space designed for the V8, the car's short wheelbase endowed it with precise handling whilst the relatively short gearing ensured acceleration was prodigious even by Aston's standards. According to its copy V5C registration document, KX13 DMU has been in the current ownership from new having been first registered on 20 May 2013. Finished in black and now showing some 32,500 miles, we understand the service records have been misplaced although the owner advises the first annual service including some warranty work was carried out in May 2014 at 12,806 miles by Stratstone, Derby, and the last in June 2015 at 26,560 miles by HR Owen, Cheltenham. We are further led to understand that some cosmetic attention is required to the front splitter and other areas of the car's paintwork.

1969 Austin Mini Cooper MKII Race Car 1969 Austin Mini Cooper MKII Race Car

1969 Austin Mini Cooper MKII Race Car

Lot #85 (Sale Order 85 of 92)

Launched in 1961, the Mini Cooper was renowned for its roadholding and excellent power-to-weight ratio which enabled it to compete with, and often beat, larger-capacity rivals especially on tight, twisting circuits. Indeed, Warwick Banks won the European Saloon Car Championship outright in 1964 driving Ken Tyrell's Mini Cooper. Finished in Red, this competition Mini is understood to have begun life to RHD specification before emigrating to Canada where it was converted to LHD and campaigned very successfully in endurance races. The diminutive saloon's specification includes: plumbed-in fire extinguisher, perspex windows, roll cage, race seat and harness (most likely out-of-date), uprated suspension and brakes, fuel cell, twin facet fuel pumps, gear reduction starter motor and Mallory distributor. It is understood to boasts a 1275 cc engine with DCOE 40 carburettor and 3 branch manifold. An ideal basis for next year's season.

1973 BMW 3.0 CSi 1973 BMW 3.0 CSi

1973 BMW 3.0 CSi

Lot #86 (Sale Order 86 of 92)

- Very rare with RHD, it was last taxed in 1996 and believed to have been garaged stored since - Verona red with a black cloth and vinyl interior, manual gearbox and a Webasto style sunroof - "The subject of an insurance total loss payment" in 1994 and offered as a restoration project The popular E9 Series coupe was built by Karmann for BMW between 1968 and 1975 in 2.5, 2.8, and 3.0 engine sizes. There was also a lightweight version known as the 3.0 CSL, but almost as rare are the right hand drive equipped fuel-injected 3.0 CSi's, such as this example. It is unknown how many of the earlier 3.0 CSi's like this one were built with right hand drive steering, but just 207 manual versions (and 215 automatic versions) were built of the later ones after 1973. Whatever the total production numbers are, they are incredibly rare and according to an email from the BMW Group Archive in Munich, this one was built on August 8th 1973 and was originally painted in Verona Red and delivered to the UK. This car also has the benefit of a Webasto style sunroof and Alpina style alloy wheels. According to the DVLA database, it was last taxed in 1996 and the vendor informs us that it has been garaged at a friend's house for at least the last thirteen of those twenty years of storage. "The subject of an insurance total loss payment" in February 1994 and now clearly in need of restoration, the vendor has not tried to start the engine while in their care and the car is apparently supplied with an old style V5 registration document (i.e. there is no V5C).

1996 Aston Martin DB7 1996 Aston Martin DB7

1996 Aston Martin DB7

Lot #87 (Sale Order 87 of 92)

PLEASE NOTE: The estimate in the printed catalogue is incorrect. The correct estimate is 16,000 - 20,000 Although Victor Gauntlett had long mooted the idea, it took the arrival of Ford money and TWR Group know-how for a new generation, 'small' Aston Martin to become reality. Unveiled at the March 1993 Geneva Salon, the DB7 revived the nomenclature of the much vaunted and now highly collectable David Brown Astons of the '50s and '60s, but had been subjected to more testing and development work than any of the marque's previous models. powered by a supercharged 3239cc DOHC straight-six engine allied to either manual or automatic transmission with a quoted 335bhp / 361lbft of torque on tap, the newcomer boasted 160mph performance. This right-hand drive automatic transmission DB7 is finished in Silver with a Grey hide interior and displays 71,200 miles. Offered with a collection of invoices and old MOT's plus original book pack with handbooks and service book its understood that a fresh MOT will be present by the time of sale.

1987 Range Rover Vogue Turbo D 1987 Range Rover Vogue Turbo D

1987 Range Rover Vogue Turbo D

Lot #88 (Sale Order 88 of 92)

This handsome home market example of what is now known as the Range Rover Classic is finished in Shire Blue and trimmed in contrasting Grey velour. Following 15 years in storage, it was treated to a 12-month, £10,000-plus restoration to show standard, and was duly rewarded with a 3rd place concours award at Thornton Manor. The Range Rover's odometer currently reads an unwarranted 127,000 miles and the vendor now regards its bodywork, paintwork, diesel engine and five-speed manual transmission as all being in 'excellent' order, and is offering the vehicle complete with Heritage Certificate, invoices for work done, and second set of keys. Launched in 1970, the Range Rover was initially powered by a 3.5-litre version of Rover's ubiquitous Buick-derived V8, and it was the 1988 model year version of the vehicle that was the first to be offered with the option of a turbo diesel engine - the Italian-made 2.4-litre VM Motori unit.

1986 Ferrari 328 GTS 1986 Ferrari 328 GTS

1986 Ferrari 328 GTS

Lot #89 (Sale Order 89 of 92)

Introduced at the September 1985 Frankfurt Motor Show the Ferrari 328 shot straight to the top of the 'junior supercar' league. Borrowed from the preceding 308, its tubular-steel chassis was equipped with coil-over double-wishbone independent suspension, front / rear anti-roll bars and potent disc brakes. Though, the adoption of a 288 GTO-specification steering rack brought notably sharper responses. Transversely mid-mounted, the newcomer's Tipo 105CB 'quad-cam' 32-valve V8 displaced 3185cc. Credited with developing 270bhp and 224lbft of torque, it was allied to five-speed manual transmission and gave suitably authoritative performance (0-60mph: 5.5 seconds / 158mph). Styled by Pininfarina, the 328 retained the same iconic silhouette as its forebear but added a larger 'egg crate' grille, new bumpers and reworked bonnet / boot lids etc. Available in both GTB (berlinetta) and GTS (spider) guises, the Ferrari also benefited from a revamped interior - again inspired by the 288 GTO - complete with improved switchgear, redesigned centre console and more cosseting seats. Beloved by the press and public alike, the 328 remained in production until 1989. 1 of just 6,068 produced 'C771 CRU' was imported into the UK in 2015, and is finished in Rosso red with a Black interior and displays some 41,500 miles on its odometer. Having spent most of its life in the USA the Ferrari is described as 'very clean' and a 'well presented' example which is ready to enjoy. It is accompanied by the original spare wheel, original jack and roll with some tools, collection of invoices and its understood to possess a fresh MOT by the time of sale.

1975 Bentley T-Series 1975 Bentley T-Series

1975 Bentley T-Series

Lot #90 (Sale Order 90 of 92)

- A rare Bentley T1 in a very agreeable colour combination - Supplied with a quantity of hand books and its original service book, plus various invoices - Reported by the vendor to be in "very good" to "excellent" condition in all respects This wonderfully coloured Bentley T1 was first registered in May 1975 and is believed to have been supplied new by Rossleigh of Perth. The hand book is accompanied by the original service book which apparently has maintenance stamps from both Rossleigh and HR Owen, and also Phantom Motors of Surrey in 1996. Bills are on file that show £2,700 has been spent on the car in last two years by a known Rolls-Royce and Bentley specialist in West London. Supplied with the rare option of speed (cruise) control the sumptuous burgundy interior also includes the original Pioneer cassette player and the Blaupunkt radio receiver (instruction books for both are present). With the previous owner having purchased the car in 1998, the vendor and his daughter recently acquired this silver-grey coloured T1 on a whim as his late father used to own a similarly coloured and aged Silver Shadow many years ago. Very much a car enthusiast, he regrettably now has to see the car find a new home due to a lack of appropriate storage and his daughter's unexpected overseas work posting. MOT'd until October 2017, the vendor recently had a most pleasurable drive in the car from London to his Gloucestershire home, and he describes the Bentley as having "very good" bodywork, paintwork, and interior trim, and "excellent" engine, transmission, and electrical equipment.
