1956 Austin A50 Cambridge

Lot #4 (Sale Order 4 of 122)

- Reputedly used on a Malaysian IADS airbase from new until 2000 when it was repatriated - Credible but unwarranted recorded mileage of 5,058, Butterscotch upholstery - Malaysian paperwork, UK V5C Registration Document, said to be in 'very good overall' order Vendor Condition Ratings: Bodywork: 'Very Good' Engine: 'Excellent' Electrical Equipment: 'Excellent' Paintwork: 'Very Good' Gearbox: 'Excellent' Interior Trim: 'Excellent' Austin and Morris merged in 1952 to become the British Motor Corporation, which, among many other things, saw the Austin engine powering the Morris Minor from late 1952. The Austin Motor Company's large medium-sized saloon was the A40 Cambridge which became the 1489cc A50 and then, from 1957, the A55. In 1959, of course, it was this Cambridge which was reshaped by Pininfarina to become the Morris Oxford, MG Magnette, Riley 4.68 and Wolseley 15/60 range of badge-engineered models. Offered here is an A50, which was claimed to have been manufactured in Birmingham with right-hand drive in 1956. The vehicle was the property of the IADS (Integrated Air Defence System) in Malaysia and spent most of its life on an air base there. It had been spotted and repatriated by an RAF serviceman Flight Sergeant Stephen Pollitt who was also based in Malaysia.

1997 Alfa Romeo Spider 2.0 1997 Alfa Romeo Spider 2.0

1997 Alfa Romeo Spider 2.0

Lot #6 (Sale Order 6 of 122)

- Desirable 2.0 Twin-Spark engined Spider with fabulous Pininfarina style - Just 105,000 recorded miles with a timing belt change in 2015 - Wonderful colour combination with rare Momo leather and chrome seat hoops Vendor Condition Ratings: Bodywork: 'Good to Excellent' Engine: 'Excellent' Electrical Equipment: 'No Known Problems' Paintwork: 'Good' Gearbox: 'Excellent' Interior Trim: 'Excellent' The 916 Series Alfa Romeo GTV and Spider models have always been highly regarded due to their fine front wheel drive handling, with the 2.0 variant far better balanced than its larger 3.0 V6 engined stablemate. The 16 valve 2.0 engine was unique at the time in that it had two spark-plugs per cylinder, hence the designation Twin Spark. The first spark plug fired and then a fraction of a second later the second plug fired to ignite any unburnt fuel. Fantastic efficiency and a load of low down torque for easy driving, plus an even power band into the high revs when the need to press on arose. This Phase 1 example has covered a recorded 105,000 miles and is finished in a wonderful colour combination of silver paintwork with red Momo leather seats. Also of note are the chrome hoops behind the seats. Reportedly having a well stamped service book and accompanying instruction manuals, the history file also contains some expired MOT certificates, and invoices to state that the timing belt, variator, water pump, and related parts were changed in 2015. The vendor describes the car as having "good-to-perfect" bodywork and paintwork, with the engine and gearbox as being in "excellent" condition. A superb Pininfarina design and full of Italian flair.

1997 Daimler V8 4.0 LWB 1997 Daimler V8 4.0 LWB

1997 Daimler V8 4.0 LWB

Lot #10 (Sale Order 10 of 122)

- Only one driver from new and occasionally chauffeur driven, with an odometer reading of 126,500 miles - Garaged from new and full main dealer service history, plus original front and rear number plates - Described by the vendor as being in 'good to very good overall' condition This rather special one driver from new Daimler V8 4.0 LWB was purchased new by the vendor from Stratstone Jaguar in Mayfair, London, and specified with Madeira red paintwork and Ivory leather interior. Registered firstly to a leasing company, the vendor acquired the car from them upon his retirement. Occasionally chauffer driven to and from evening working engagements, the car has been garaged throughout the vendor's custodianship. Its Madeira Red paintwork is therefore largely free of the brown bubbling that inflicts so many Jaguars and Daimlers of this type and age. Most unusually, the Gentleman has had only authorised Jaguar dealerships maintain the car for him, with a comprehensively stamped replacement service book showing prompt annual services, and indicating that Grange Jaguar in Barnet last saw the car in September last year when the odometer recorded 124,713 miles. The current approximate odometer reading is 126.500 miles. Accompanying the service book is a seemingly complete hand-book pack, range brochure, and a rare item of the Jaguar/Daimler dealership hand-over video. The Motorola mobile telephone fitted when new is still located below the central armrest with the user manual in the hand-book pack. Described by the vendor as being in good to very good condition, this lovely car still wears its original Stratstone Jaguar front and rear number plates, a good sign of the cars originality. Being sold only due to a house move and the need for a smaller car, this Daimler will be much missed after 19 years of pleasurable ownership.

1993 Jaguar XJ-S 6.0

Lot #11 (Sale Order 11 of 122)

- Finished in Carnival Red with Cream leather - 6.0 litre example, 91,325 recorded miles and offered at no reserve - Accompanied by many large invoices and a current MoT to 27 June 2017 In May 1992 Jaguar increased the capacity of the iconic V12 engine to 6-litres for the final run out of the XJ-S model which had been introduced in 1976. Revisions to the rear brakes and updates to the automatic transmission further improved the package and in many enthusiasts' view the 6.0 HE V12 variant is regarded as the best of breed. Displaying some 91,325 miles, this example is finished in Carnival Red with Cream leather and is described by the vendor as being in "good" condition regarding its bodywork, engine and transmission. Though there are some blemishes to the paintwork, it is also described as "good" overall whilst the headlining is understood to require replacement. In the previous owner's possession since 2003, we are informed this "lovely looking car" is accompanied by many large invoices for works carried out and that it "starts on the button". Offered at no reserve, K474 FYH is accompanied by a Swansea V5 and current MoT to 27th June 2017.

2006 AK 427 Cobra Evocation 2006 AK 427 Cobra Evocation

2006 AK 427 Cobra Evocation

Lot #17 (Sale Order 17 of 122)

PLEASE NOTE: This vehicle is withdrawn from our 28th July 2016 auction. - Recent respray, gearbox overhaul, new carpets and seats - Photographic record of works carried out since 2015 - c.10,000 miles recorded The iconic Cobra was born when Texan Carroll Shelby shoe-horned Ford's new lightweight 260ci V8 into the nose of the John Tojeiro designed AC Ace. The resulting car was a winner from nose to tail, and in later 289ci and 427ci guise accounted for countless race and championship victories on both sides of the Atlantic. Under the circumstances it is now hard to believe that the final road-going versions were slow to find homes. Fast forward 15 years or so, however, and original Cobras were suddenly escalating in value, quickly shooting way beyond the reach of most enthusiasts for ever. Almost overnight the market for evocations was born. Amongst the most respected manufacturers of Cobra evocations, AK Sportscars was founded in 1992 by Alan Frew and Ken Freeman. This example is understood to have been completed in 2006 by an engineer and experienced kit car builder. Since entering the vendor's collection in 2015 it has been treated to a professional respray in red, the gearbox has been comprehensively overhauled, a new clutch has been fitted and new seats and carpets installed. Described as being in "excellent" condition as regards its bodywork, paintwork, engine, transmission and cream/black interior trim, it is powered by a 5.7-litre V8 driving through a five-speed manual gearbox. Registering some 10,000 miles on its odometer it is accompanied by a Swansea V5 document recording just one previous keeper and is expected to possess a fresh MoT in time for the sale.

1966 Fiat 500 F

Lot #19 (Sale Order 19 of 122)

- Recent respray (2016), new chrome, carpets and seats in 2015 - Featured on Antiques Road Trip TV series - LHD example with one previous owner registered on V5 The Nuova 500, designed by Dante Giacosa, remains a masterpiece of packaging; the rear-wheel drive, rear-engined layout leaving a remarkably uncluttered cabin with adequate room for four passengers, despite the diminutive length of just 9.74ft. At its introduction in 1957 the little Fiat was powered by a 479cc unit producing just 13bhp, but by the time of the later 500 F the capacity had grown to 499.5cc and output to 22bhp - sufficient for a maximum speed of c.60mph combined with over 50mpg. This LHD example was imported from Milan and shows just one previous owner registered on its V5. Finished in white with red interior, it was treated to a respray earlier this year and to new chrome, carpets and seats in 2015. Featured on the Antiques Road Trip TV series, the vendor describes the bodywork and paintwork as "excellent" and the engine and interior as "very good". Said to be "a lovely, reliable little car with much money spent" it is offered with a Swansea V5 and MoT to May 2017.

Lot #22 (Sale Order 22 of 122)

- Featured on Antiques Road Trip and Celebrity Antiques Road Trip TV series - Engine and carburettor overhaul winter 2015 - MoT to March 2017 Evolving through five guises over the course of an eighteen-year production run, the final Spitfire variant arrived in 1974. With a reputed 71bhp and 82lbft of torque on tap from its 1493cc OHV four-cylinder engine, the newcomer boasted genuine 100mph performance. Visually indistinguishable from its MKIV forebear save for some minor trim differences, the Spitfire 1500 was a decent seller on both sides of the Atlantic and the model remained in production until August 1980. Finished in orange with black interior, this overdrive equipped example has been extensively featured on both Antiques Road Trip and Celebrity Antiques Road Trip TV programmes. Registering some 100,000 miles, it is described as having "good" bodywork and paintwork with "excellent" engine and "very good" interior. 1969 Jaguar XJ6 4.2 1969 Jaguar XJ6 4.2

1969 Jaguar XJ6 4.2

Lot #24 (Sale Order 24 of 122)

- A very rare manual over-drive Jaguar XJ6 in a most agreeable colour combination - Wonderful early history file containing around 14 service reports from 1969 onwards and MOT certificates from 1978 to 1985 - Engine comprehensively refreshed during current ownership and also a new radiator This Jaguar XJ6 is unusual as it features an over-drive equipped manual gearbox where as many examples of Jaguar's iconic first series XJ saloon left the factory with an automatic transmission, and it also has air conditioning (although currently part-removed). It was first registered on August 19th 1969 and there are around fourteen Shell Service Report sheets in the history file from FW Mays of Dorking to a Mr Cummings, approximately covering the years of 1969 to 1975. Also present are a hand book and many expired MOT certificates, roughly from between the years 1978 and 1985. The history file contains a hand-written sales invoice from Graham Bovet-White of The Anchor Inn public house of Barcombe-on-Ouse near Lewes, East Sussex, dated March 1986 which states that Mr Bovet-White sold the car on behalf of his known Jaguar racing father Derek. The buyer (who is believed to have become the third owner) was a Mr Oakeley of Smarden, Kent, who registered the car with his number plate 4 JKO. Sold again in September 2001 to someone in Gillingham, Kent, the car changed hands again to someone in Tonbridge, Kent in August 2011. Finished in silver with red leather interior, the vendor became just the sixth documented owner of this XJ6 when he purchased it in March 2014, and he is keen to emphasise what a superb family classic car it is, proven by his several trips to Ireland on holiday in it with his family. A qualified mechanic, the vendor has removed the air conditioning compressor although left the receiver and condenser in the boot. He also comprehensively refreshed the engine at an approximate claimed cost of รบ4,500, and is reported to have fitted new pistons and liners, chains, cam shafts, sprockets, and overhauled the cylinder head and fitted a new clutch. Having carried out the work himself there are no labour invoices, but the file does contain many parts invoices and detailed photographs of the work undertaken. Other works during the current ownership include the fitting of a new radiator, fan, and water pump, and the filling of the cooling system with Evans Waterless Coolant. New front sub-frame mounts and new front tyres are also reported to have been fitted, along with the car just (July 2016) passing a new MOT test. The vendor describes the car as having an "excellent" engine and transmission and "very good" bodywork, paintwork, interior trim, and electrical equipment, explaining the reason for the latter only being classed as "very good" is due to one fuel gauge and the rev-counter not working.

1973 Saab 96 V4 1973 Saab 96 V4

1973 Saab 96 V4

Lot #30 (Sale Order 30 of 122)

- 1 of just 315 Saab 96 V4 cars known to the DVLA and 2 former keepers shown on V5C - Reportedly treated to 'routine maintenance and renovation over its 44-year life' - Dark Brown leather interior, MOT valid till Dec 2016 Vendor Condition Ratings: Bodywork: 'Average' Engine: 'Good' Electrical Equipment: 'Good' Paintwork: 'Average' Gearbox: 'Good' Interior Trim: 'Average' Further Info: The Saab 96 was released in 1960 as a replacement for the Saab 93 model. Initially available with only with a 3 cylinder 2-stroke engine until 1967 when, under a veil of secrecy other engines were tested before the 1498cc Ford V4 unit was chosen for installation. The 96 was transformed as a result of this, allowing it to compete on an entirely different level on both the retail market and indeed the competitive rally circuit where the V4 claimed World Rally Championship crowns in both 1973 and 1976. Being the subject of routine maintenance and renovation over its 44-year life, 'HVG 847L' is presented in Black with a Dark Brown interior, the bodywork is in above average condition and is very presentable and useable. The gearbox selects and engages as it should and the engine, having recently undergone a carburettor overhaul, pulls the car along with gusto, breathing well through the sports exhaust system that subtly upgrades this tax-exempt 96. Supplied with a MOT valid till December 2016, the Saab is ready to be immediately enjoyed boasting as it does quirky good-looks and Scandanavian charm aplenty. PLEASE NOTE: Upon nearing Donington Park, the vendor noticed what he believed to be a slight loss of power and mild vibration. A vehicle technician attended and suspects a degradation of a fibre/nylon gear attached to the balance shaft. Further inspection/costs will be necessary, but as the vehicle has arrived, the vendor has decided to offer the Saab at a reduced price. Any prospective purchaser who may have travelled has the option therefore to proceed. H&H Can confirm that the engine turns over: however should now be considered a non-runner. The vehicle remains taxed and MOT'd. The '96' remains a wonderful historic rallying opportunity, especially if equipped with a Weber carburettor and freshly balanced engine!

1985 Porsche 944 1985 Porsche 944

1985 Porsche 944

Lot #31 (Sale Order 31 of 122)

- Automatic example with just c.24,500 miles recorded - Document wallet with service book and handbook - In one family ownership prior to acquisition by the vendor in 2015 Introduced in 1982, Porsche's front-engined, rear-wheel drive 944 was a direct development of the 924 and was built around a re-engineered 924 platform. The company replaced the Audi engine with their own four-cylinder unit of 2.5-litres which, despite having few common parts, was effectively half of the 5-litre V8 that powered the 928. Other significant changes included wider wheel arches similar to those of the 924 Carrera GT, a better equipped, more refined interior and upgrades to the suspension and brakes. The model's respectable performance was surpassed by its excellent handling characteristics - the specification of a rear transaxle endowing the 944 with nigh on 50/50 front to rear weight distribution. Finished in Guards Red with beige leather, this automatic transmission example has just c.24,600 miles recorded on its odometer at the time of cataloguing, having been in one family ownership for most of its life. Purchased new as a gift for the buyer's wife, it was placed in storage on her death before passing to various family members prior to being acquired by the vendor in 2015 who intended to use it as a daily driver. Conscious of the car's rarity with so little mileage under its belt he has reluctantly decided it should really lead a more pampered existence and would like it to be cherished by a like-minded collector instead. Accompanied by its document wallet with service book and handbook, assorted MoTs and invoices together with a V5 registration document, this well-preserved and extremely low mileage 944 is worthy of close inspection. New tyres have recently been fitted and the car is expected to possess a fresh MoT in time for the sale.

1990 Lotus Elan SE Turbo 1990 Lotus Elan SE Turbo

1990 Lotus Elan SE Turbo

Lot #35 (Sale Order 35 of 122)

- Desirable turbo M100 for which Lotus claimed 0-60mph in 6.5 seconds and 137mph - Recently treated to a full service and new brakes all round, Grey leather upholstery - Documented history file and 'no advisories' MOT valid till July 2017 Vendor Condition Ratings: Bodywork: 'Very Good' Engine: 'Excellent' Electrical Equipment: 'Very Good' Paintwork: 'Very Good' Gearbox: 'Very Good' Interior Trim: 'Good' Further Info: After a production gap of some 14 years, Lotus took the decision to reintroduce the much-loved Elan name onto its new two-seater convertible sports car. The M100 Elan aimed to dispel the old clichรšs of unreliability by installing a trusted Japanese engine and manual transmission supplied by Isuzu, and built with the development and testing resources of General Motors. Around รบ35 million was invested in the car's development, more than any other car in Lotus history. Its design - penned by Peter Stevens - featuring a fibreglass composite body over a rigid steel backbone chassis, was true to Lotus founder Colin Chapman's original philosophy of achieving performance through low weight. In 1986 the purchase of Lotus by General Motors provided the financial backing to develop a new, small, affordable car in the same spirit as the original Elan, a development prototype had been built a few years earlier, using a fibreglass body and a Toyota-supplied 1.6-litre engine and transmission. Lotus was hoping to sell the car through Toyota dealerships worldwide, badged as a Lotus Toyota, but the project never came to fruition and the prototype was shelved (although Lotus's collaboration with Toyota had some influence on the design of the Toyota MR2). The idea of a small roadster powered by an outsourced engine remained, however, and in late 1986 Peter Stevens's design for the Type M100 was approved and work began by Lotus engineers to turn the clay styling buck into a car that could be built. This process was completed in just under three years, a remarkably short time from design to production car. 'G395 XPJ', finished in Pacific Blue, is a Series 1 car first registered just 10 months into production. The bodywork and paintwork is in very good all-round condition, with none of the usual crazing and cracking associated with a fibreglass vehicle, the car having benefited from a respray in recent years. The interior, which is finished in complimentary grey leather with blue piping, is in good order. Mechanically, the Elan is in good condition, maintaining good oil pressure and accelerating rapidly and smoothly, the gearbox changing with a satisfying precision. The Elan has obviously been the subject of someone's passionate interest, with a documented history file. A recent full service and new brakes all-round mean this M100 which will come freshly MOT'd with 'no-advisories' can be immediately enjoyed.

1966 Daimler V8-250 1966 Daimler V8-250

1966 Daimler V8-250

Lot #39 (Sale Order 39 of 122)

- Supplied new to Australia and treated to a cosmetic restoration in 1984 at a cost of $19,629 AUD - Repatriated in 1992 by Mr Baldwin from whose family the vendor acquired it five years ago - Paperwork back to 1976, said to be 'rot free', recently recommissioned and MOT'd till May 2017 Vendor Condition Ratings: Bodywork: 'Very Good' Engine: 'Average' Electrical Equipment: 'Good' Paintwork: 'Good' Gearbox: 'Good - Automatic' Interior Trim: 'Very Good' Further Info: Originally exported to Australia and supplied new to Mr Leslie Arnoh via the Brysons Industries of Sydney dealership, chassis P1A12390BW was road registered as 'NKY 921' during February 1966 and belonged to Sulis Investments of Sydney some eighteen years later. Sold by Steve Sulis to Mr Baldwin in 1984, the latter had the Daimler treated to a bare metal repaint in its original colour, refurbished woodwork, fresh headlining and new Connolly leather interior upholstery at a cost of some $19,629 AUD. All this work is fully documented in the car's history file. The V8 250 and its owner were repatriated during 1992. UK road registered as 'NWJ 196D', the saloon remained in Mr Baldwin's care until being sold to his son who later had to ask his father to re-purchase it. A regular at various classic car shows including the Bromley Pageant of Motoring, chassis P1A12390BW was also used by Mr Baldwin Senior for taking friends to the pub or the church to celebrate their nuptials! The vendor purchased the Daimler from Mr Baldwin's estate in 2011 but had known the car (and Mr Baldwin) for a decade before then. The V8 250 comes with a very extensive history file including Australian roadworthiness certificates, insurance documents, UK MOTs, tax discs, items of correspondence and receipts for work dating back to 1976. The Daimler comes complete with its original set of tools, owner's handbook and manufacturer's warranty card. The condition of the car is said to be remarkable for such a model having benefited from the kinder Australian climate in its early life. The bodywork appears to be rot free and has good panel gaps with each panel edge looking as crisp as when it left the factory. The interior leather is unmarked and barely worn, the back seat in particular looks 'as new'. An examination of the underside reveals the original factory white paint. Although, the car has not been resprayed since 1984 the paint is stated to still hold a very good shine and to be a testament to the work that was carried out back then save for the odd blemish. The Daimler has been extensively recommissioned following a period of inactivity. The recent work encompassing new hoses, various electrical items, new water pump, a service and brake overhaul. As is often the case with these cars the electrical oil pressure gauge is unreliable. The engine's oil pressure has been checked with a mechanical crypton gauge and shows a reading of 50lbs on the initial start-up falling to 16lbs at a hot idle and then rising up through the rev range as power is applied. 'NWJ 196D' comes with a MOT certificate valid until May 2017 and clear title.

2004 Mercedes-Benz S 320 CDI

Lot #40 (Sale Order 40 of 122)

- 1 private registered keeper and just 34,000 warranted miles from new - Reportedly 'meticulously maintained on a bi-annual basis by main dealers and local specialists' - Anthracite leather, sat-nav, 3.2 litre diesel engine, parking sensors, MOT'd till March 2017 Vendor Condition Ratings: Bodywork: 'Excellent' Engine: 'Excellent' Electrical Equipment: 'Excellent' Paintwork: 'Excellent' Gearbox: 'Excellent' Interior Trim: 'Excellent' Further Info: The W220 S-Class, launched in 1998, brought the executive-level Mercedes firmly up-to date and re-established itself as the leader and innovator in the luxury car market. Featuring a range of petrol, diesel and supercharged petrol engines, the new vehicle - which continued the design theme set by the A-Class - stood out amongst its competitors. Generously equipped as standard, 'MB04 KWC' was ordered by its one private recorded keeper with the following desirable extras: - 6-way adjustable electric heated seats - 'Appearance Pack' with 5-spoke alloy wheels - COMAND Satellite Navigation - high-gloss burr-walnut trim - Parktronic front & rear visual and audio parking sensors - Mercedes Nokia Mobile Telephone - CD auto-changer - Glass electric sunroof The accompanying original sales invoice shows the vehicle cost รบ49000 even after the owner had negotiated his discount! During 12 years' careful ownership, the 204hp luxury saloon has averaged around 32 mpg! Because the S-Class is over 10 years old some classic car insurers are already offering to cover it which could result in an annual premium of รบ100 per year depending upon mileage and personal circumstances. Though, even regular policy quotes for it can be negotiated down to รบ187 per year. Meticulously maintained on a bi-annual basis by Mercedes-Benz and independent local Mercedes specialists, the vehicle can only be described as outstanding having covered a remarkable 34,000 warranted miles, from new. This is a truly rare opportunity to own what is probably one of the best examples of an original, unmolested and cherished vehicle in regular service by its doting keeper until illness has forced this most reluctant of sales. Offered with MOT, recently serviced and riding on matching Michelin Sport tyres, what better way of driving home in pure opulence could one want?

1959 Armstrong Siddeley Star Sapphire 1959 Armstrong Siddeley Star Sapphire

1959 Armstrong Siddeley Star Sapphire

Lot #41 (Sale Order 41 of 122)

PLEASE NOTE: This vehicle is withdrawn from our 28th July 2016 auction. - Reportedly first owned by Sir Thomas (Tommy) Sopwith, the chairman of Hawker Siddeley - Still retaining what is believed to be its original Coventry issued number plate - Thought to have been restored in the 1980's and engine refreshed during present ownership The Armstrong Siddeley Star Sapphire is a charming and stately motor-car of a rarely seen product of Britain's rich Motoring Heritage. A sporting car in its day, the Star Sapphire was significantly more expensive than its competitors from Jaguar and Humber and despite the performance advantage over its rivals, the high purchase price kept production limited to just 902 examples. Survivors are now rare and few would have the interesting ownership history of the car offered for sale here. WKV 200 is a Coventry issued number plate, the city in which this marque produced its motor cars until the factory closed in 1960. First registered in January 1959, it is believed to have been originally delivered to Sir Thomas (Tommy) Sopwith who was Chairman of the Hawker Siddeley aircraft company. Thought to have been restored in the 1980's, the vendor informs us that the car then resided in Switzerland between 1994 and when he acquired it in 2012. We are informed that the engine has been refreshed during the current ownership, and a replacement engine block was utilised as frost had damaged the original one. Unused for the past year, the English vendor has stored the car at his home in France, but upon extraction from its storage recently he found that the headlining has been damaged and the "3rd gear band in the auto box slips under full torque acceleration." Described by the vendor as having "good" bodywork and interior trim and "very good" paintwork and electrical equipment, he finishes by describing the engine as "excellent". With a largely complete tool kit and an interesting history, this most agreeably coloured Star Sapphire is an attractive proposition as it is being sold without a reserve price.

1990 Saab 900 Turbo 16 S Two-Door Saloon 1990 Saab 900 Turbo 16 S Two-Door Saloon

1990 Saab 900 Turbo 16 S Two-Door Saloon

Lot #44 (Sale Order 44 of 122)

- Extremely rare 2 door saloon variant of the popular 900 T16 S - Only two registered owners from new and most recent since December 1992 - Agreeable paint colour and desirable Saab leather interior Vendor Condition Ratings: Bodywork: 'Very Good' Engine: 'Excellent' Electrical Equipment: 'Good' Paintwork: 'Very Good' Gearbox: 'Excellent' Interior Trim: 'Very Good' Further Info: Supplied new by Saab Wimbledon on May 30th 1990 to a company in the City of London, this 900 T16 S 2-door saloon was acquired by the second and most recent owner in December 1992. Finished in very agreeable metallic Odoardo grey with the rare factory option of grey leather interior, this is a very rare and special car. It is rare due to its desirable two-door body-shell of which around 300 are believed to have been sold new in the UK and which is most likely lighter and far stiffer than the more plentiful 3-door variants, and is reportedly one of only 50 supplied with the 'Airflow' body styling package. It is special due to its provenance of having just two recorded owners from new. Offering an enormous-for-the-time 173 turbo-charged BHP/201 lb/ft when new, these cars were extremely fast and they still offer a very engaging drive today, something our vendor is keen to point out. Retaining its original Wimbledon Saab front and rear number plates, the car comes with its original service and hand books, as well as a great many maintenance invoices and approximately twenty expired MOT certificates. A new clutch was fitted in April 2009. A letter on file from the second owner states that the original odometer failed at 90,791 miles and was replaced in November 2007 with a previously used item that displayed 84,038 miles. Therefore, the current reading of about 104,900 miles should have around 6,753 miles added giving a total of approximately 111,900 miles. Described by the vendor as never having had a tow-bar fitted and having very good body and paintwork as well as an excellent (non-Catalyst) engine and manual transmission, this very rare car has clearly been loved by its apparent Saab Owners Club owner, as indicated by the membership sticker in the windscreen. Two-door 900 T16 S models very rarely come to the market and an example recording just two owners from new should not be ignored by enthusiasts of the marque.

- 26,800 recorded miles, 'highly original' and 1 of only 12 survivors known to the DVLA - Reportedly treated to 'remedial servicing and maintenance as and when required' - Tan vinyl upholstery, original engine, MOT'd till July 2017 Vendor Condition Ratings: Bodywork: 'Excellent' Engine: 'Excellent' Electrical Equipment: 'Very Good' Paintwork: 'Very Good' Gearbox: 'Very Good' Interior Trim: 'Good' Further Info: Introduced at the 1961 Frankfurt Motor Show, the NSU Prinz 4 was a rival to the likes of the Fiat 500 and Mini 850. Powered by a sprightly, rear-mounted, air-cooled 598cc twin-cylinder engine allied to four-speed manual transmission, the newcomer was reputedly capable of over 70mph. Joining Auto Union and Audi as part of the Volkswagen stable in 1969, NSU stopped making its own cars four years later - the neatly packaged Prinz being deemed a sales threat to the VW Beetle and upcoming Polo/Audi 50. One of just twelve survivors known to the DVLA, USG 529J is recorded to have covered under 26,800 miles from new. A notably late example that is said to be 'highly original' and to have had the benefit of 'remedial servicing and maintenance as and when required', the NSU is very good condition with regard to its engine, gearbox, electrical equipment, bodywork, Blue paintwork and Tan vinyl upholstery. Rare and increasingly collectible, this lovely example, built towards the end of production and at a time when NSU were firmly in control of the newly-formed VW Audi (Auto-Union) group, comes MOT'd and is ready to be immediately enjoyed.

1965 Jaguar MK II 3.4 Litre

Lot #46 (Sale Order 46 of 122)

PLEASE NOTE: This vehicle is withdrawn from our 28th July 2016 auction. - Body restoration and respray completed February 2016 - Interior replaced and new clutch fitted - Gearbox overhauled June 2016 Featuring notably slimmer roof pillars than its MKI forebear, the immortal Jaguar MKII was as airy on the inside as it was elegant on the outside. Its monocoque bodyshell was equipped with independent coil-sprung front suspension and a well-located live rear axle, 12-inch disc brakes all round and recirculating ball steering. The model could be specified with a 2.4, 3.4 or 3.8-litre version of Jaguar's race-proved, DOHC inline, six-cylinder XK engine. The interior was quintessentially British with its sumptuous leather-covered seats, polished wood facia and door cappings, comprehensive instrumentation and impressive row of auxiliary toggle switches. The attention to detail and build quality of the MKII were remarkable for the price. Over the winter of 2016 FWU 239C has undergone extensive exterior and interior restoration to a high standard. The car features a reconditioned 3.4 litre engine and Moss gearbox, replacement interior and new carpets. Finished in arguably the best colour combination of metallic grey contrasted by a red leather interior, the vendor describes the bodywork, paintwork, engine and transmission as being in "excellent" condition and informs us the clutch was replaced in June 2016. Offered with Swansea V5C document and MoT to May 2017, this attractive Mk2 also benefits from the fitment of a new centre console and is said to be "very reliable".

1964 Ford Mustang Convertible

Lot #66 (Sale Order 66 of 122)

- Imported in 2011 from a dry US state - Restored 2015 / 2016 - 6 cylinder manual transmission car with power roof Ford's immortal Mustang had its inaugural public viewing at the New York World's Fair of April 1964. It was the first of the so-called 'pony' cars that subsequently included the Chevrolet Camaro, AMC Javelin and revamped Chrysler Barracuda. The newcomer also inspired such Coupes from elsewhere in the world as the Ford Capri and Toyota Celica. It was styled in house under the direction of Joe Oros and utilised as many components as possible from the existing Falcon and Fairlane models, in order to minimise cost. Soon available in Coupe, Convertible and Fastback guise, the Ford could be bought with a range of straight-six and V8 engines. This six cylinder 2.8-litre Mustang spent most of its life in Alabama where it was a regular show winner before being imported to the UK in 2011. A '1964-and-a-half' convertible built in the first few months of production, it is finished in the popular combination of red with a white roof and red vinyl interior. Fitted with desirable power steering plus a manual gearbox it is said to be a "very original and very unmolested early Mustang". Restored by the vendor over the winter of 2015 - 2016, work carried out since 2014 has included a full respray, new interior, new clutch, new chrome and new power roof electrics. Described as having "excellent" bodywork, paintwork, interior and transmission with "very good" engine and electrics, this early example is offered with Swansea V5C document and MoT to May 2017.

1933 Sunbeam 25 Sports Coupe 1933 Sunbeam 25 Sports Coupe

1933 Sunbeam 25 Sports Coupe

Lot #71 (Sale Order 71 of 122)

- Handsome four-door pillarless design and 1 of just 2 examples known to have survived - A rival in period to the Alvis Speed 20, Lagonda M45 and Bentley 3.5 Litre - Potent 3.3 litre OHV straight-six engine, documented history and wonderful interior Vendor Condition Ratings: Bodywork: 'Very Good' Engine: 'Excellent' Electrical Equipment: Paintwork: 'Very Good' Gearbox: 'Very Good' Interior Trim: 'Very Good' H&H are indebted to the vendor for the following description: 'This powerful 3.3 litre coupe was top of the Sunbeam range in 1933. Its lavish interior and low-line style singles it out as one of the great sports / touring cars of the 1930s. It is in good condition all round and ready to show or use. The Sunbeam 25 sports cars of the period vied with the Derby Bentleys and Alvis Speed 20s for prominence as the sporting gentleman's pride and joy. Relatively few 25s were made and this four-door pillarless coupe was the most expensive Sunbeam at the time with only one other known to still exist. Its history is well-documented with seven owners, generally in the South of England and latterly in Cambridge. It has covered less than 20,000 miles in the last forty-five years as evidenced from the MOT certificates. The Sunbeam had only one owner from 1967 to 1995 and was used regularly during the late 1960s and 1970s and attended Sandhurst rallies over this period. Mileage on MOTs was not recorded during the 1960s, but in 1971 a mileage of 3,500 was recorded and the history suggests that the car had always been kept on the road and in regular use. We know the Sunbeam was on the road in 1975 as a tax disc is present, but it was soon after garaged as its enthusiast owner opted to use his 18.2 Sunbeam model instead. Sadly during the mid-1990s the long term owner passed away and the car was given to a specialist for appraisal. The Sunbeam at this point required a high level of work but retained lots of originality. A new owner was found in 1995 and substantial work was then carried out. The engine was overhauled with new pistons, new big end bolts, refaced cylinder head, recut valve seats, refaced valves and various machining work was carried out. It was reported that white metal work had been done in 1965 and only several thousand miles had been covered since. The gearbox was inspected, the clutch relined and a higher ratio crown wheel and pinion fitted; ideal for longer distance touring. The electrical system was re-wired, brake system overhauled, steering overhauled and the suspension treated to new telescopic shock absorbers. The exhaust system was replaced and the starter motor and dynamo stripped, checked and overhauled. The bodywork was stripped down, floorboards and bulk head replaced and various frame work panels replaced or repaired. The Sunbeam was painted and various re-chroming work carried out. The interior was found totally original and treated to new carpets, new headlining and leather work carried out to the rear. Between 1996 and 2004 the Sunbeam covered around 7,000 miles and then changed hands; between 2004 and 2011 another 6,000 miles were accrued. 'AXE 411' was then sold to its most recent owner who covered several thousand further miles and carried out the expensive engine work. The car is currently in good mechanical order and had the brakes overhauled and relined again recently. The bodywork has a deep mature shine and internally the leather and woodwork are outstanding. The sliding roof pulls back easily and the steering is surprisingly light once the car is moving at over a few miles per hour. It comes with good records of its more recent history, tools and a sales brochure. All in all it is a most imposing car of the period. Rare, valuable and highly collectable and something different from the usual crop of thirties Bentleys'.

1963/1990s Jaguar D-Type Evocation 1963/1990s Jaguar D-Type Evocation

1963/1990s Jaguar D-Type Evocation

Lot #72 (Sale Order 72 of 122)

- Straight-six Jaguar engine with triple carburettors - BRG with green leather seats, Hardura carpets and Mota-Lita four spoke steering wheel - Part of a deceased estate, in dry storage for c.12 months Jaguar became a global brand thanks to their successes in the Le Mans 24 Hours during the 1950s when their production-based C-Type won in both 1951 and 1953. For the 1954 race, however, a much more sophisticated D-Type sports racer was developed, with the works team cars only just being beaten by Ferrari's 5-litre V12 375 Plus. However, Jaguars were soon leading the field again, with a one/two in the Reims 12 Hours a few weeks later. The Hawthorn/Bueb works D won the 1955 Le Mans race and the privateer Ecurie Ecosse team from Edinburgh claimed victory twice more for the marque in 1956 and 1957. This hat-trick of victories at Le Mans ensured the D Type's legendary status for all time. As the rarity and value of genuine Ds put them out of reach of most, a number of replicas and lookalike models were spawned over the years, such as the example offered here by RAM. One of the better kits available, the RAM D-Type was praised by Kit Cars & Specials magazine as having 'undisputed mechanical integrity,' and to be 'one of the most desirable replicas we have yet laid our hands on.' Understood to have been built in the early 1990s using a 1963 Jaguar 340 as the donor vehicle, this fibreglass bodied example boasts a number of interesting features including Hardura carpeting, a Mota-Lita four spoke wood-rimmed steering wheel, alloy gear knob and period dip switch. The engine is believed to be of 3.8 litre capacity and the car appears to have been constructed to a good standard. With its period registration number and replica D-Type style alloy wheels shod with Pirelli tyres it certainly looks the part. Forming part of a deceased estate, having been in the late-owner's ownership since 1995, it has been in dry storage for at least a year and will require careful recommissioning before use. Reminiscent of the later cars with high fin and wraparound windscreen, YVG 354 is offered with a Swansea V5C registration document. Please Note: The V5 document shows the make as Jaguar but no model or type details are recorded. The chassis number quoted on this document appears to relate to a Jaguar MkX 3.8 saloon and the engine number quoted ends in 5 and not 3 as recorded on the chassis plate. Details of the engine number stamped on the engine will be available once the car is delivered to the sale venue. The car has been running and driven under its own power briefly when delivered to the sale. The engine number on the engine is obscured by the oil filter but appears to start with a 7 and end with an 8 which we believe would be consistent with a MkX 3.8-litre unit.

1952 Volvo PV444

Lot #82 (Sale Order 82 of 122)

- Finished in Metallic Blue, trimmed in Grey and powered by the 1.4-litre engine of 44bhp - Offered from a private collection and has benefited from an extensive restoration - Instruction book, service manual, invoices, previous MOT certificates and tax discs Further info: The PV444 was Volvo's initial post-war offering and the company's first unitary construction model. A notable feature was the ability to fold the seats flat to create a sleeping area. Though powered by relatively small capacity four-cylinder engines, the PV444 and ensuing PV544 were rugged performers and enjoyed success in racing and rallying, with Joginder Singh winning the 1965 Safari Rally in a PV544. This attractive left-hand drive PV444 is a 1952 example that's finished in Metallic Blue, trimmed in Grey fabric and powered by the second generation 1.4-litre engine of 44bhp, which drives through a three-speed manual gearbox. It hails from a private collection and has benefited from extensive restoration. Indeed, the vendor feels 'new carpets and improvement of the boot area are all that's now required to make 'VAS 990' excellent', and he is now offering the Volvo complete with instruction book, service manual, invoices, previous MOTs and tax discs.

1964 Land Rover 109 Series IIA 1964 Land Rover 109 Series IIA

1964 Land Rover 109 Series IIA

Lot #85 (Sale Order 85 of 122)

- Built in February 1964 to LHD Series IIA 2.25 litre (petrol) specification apparently for military usage - Reputedly updated to RHD Series III specification prior to being registered for road use in December 1972 - Unwarranted 49,000 recorded miles and recently emerged from a six-year long, chassis up restoration Vendor Condition Ratings: Bodywork: 'Very Good' Engine: 'Average' Electrical Equipment: 'Good' Paintwork: 'Good' Gearbox: 'Good' Interior Trim: 'Very Good' Further Info: 'The Land Rover was originally built in February 1964 and I have a Heritage Trust letter to confirm that. This being a Series IIA 109 inch 2250cc petrol, chassis 25407332-B. It was built as a left-hand drive military, however, it was not road registered until December 1972. The mystery is that everything about it appears to be right-hand drive Series III. The Series III was not introduced until 1971. I have been informed that a number of early Series IIIs were factory conversions from Series IIAs. It has had eight keepers since being road registered and I understand it was used on a country estate for some time. Neither the last keeper or myself have used the vehicle apart from driving it to the MOT test station. The current indicated mileage is 49,423, however, I have no idea if that is genuine. I purchased the vehicle in November 2009 and have spent six years restoring it from the chassis up. The chassis has been stripped and repainted. Heavy duty front and rear springs have been fitted together with new rear axle restraint straps. The brakes have been overhauled and a new servo fitted. The engine has had a new timing chain, piston rings, valves, valve springs and big end bearings. It has electronic ignition. The back axle oil seal has been replaced as has the transfer box oil seal. A new heavy duty battery has been fitted. The bulkhead is in good order with no apparent rust. The interior has been restored and repainted with new rear seats. There is a sink in the rear area. The front wings have been replaced. The wheels have been renewed and wear excellent tyres. There are two spare wheels, one on the rear and one on the inside. It has a reinforced adjustable tow hitch (ex Defender), rear steps and chrome folding steps. It passed its MOT test on 30th May with no advisories'.

1961 Austin-Healey Frogeye' Sprite

Lot #87 (Sale Order 87 of 122)

- A 'home market' car that was restored using a corrosion-free (ex-USA) bodyshell - Coventry Climax-inspired 998cc engine, c.155bhp/ton and uprated brakes/suspension - Subject of a 5-page article in MG Enthusiast magazine (April 2012) Vendor Condition Ratings: Bodywork: 'Very Good' Engine: 'Very Good' Electrical Equipment: 'Very Good' Paintwork: 'Very Good' Gearbox: 'Very Good' Interior Trim: 'Very Good' Further Info: A RHD home market' car that was extensively restored and upgraded by engineer Clark Dawson using a corrosion-free bodyshell (ex-USA), 700 DRM' is something of a wolf in sheep's clothing. Coventry-Climax-inspired, its jewel-like powerplant develops circa 100bhp @ 7,500rpm thanks to an enlarged Rootes B1 alloy block (998cc), big valve Imp cylinder head, R17 camshaft, balanced flywheel/clutch, PowerMax pistons and twin Weber 40DCOE carburettors etc. A sympathetic installation that retains the original engine mountings and BMC gearbox, it nevertheless endows the Little Healey with approximately 155bhp/ton and improved weight distribution. Tamed via uprated disc/drum brakes and revised suspension, 700 DRM' was the subject of a five-page article in MG Enthusiast magazine (April 2012) and is quite possibly the nicest 'Frogeye' we have encountered. PLEASE NOTE: The vendor purchased this vehicle from our 17th April 2013 auction with the intention of exporting it to Switzerland. However, after notifying the DVLA of its export the vehicle remained in storage in the UK. During that time, the vendor had applied to the DVLA to 're-register' the vehicle on a UK V5/C. Unfortunately, this proved unsuccessful and was possibly due to the vehicle being recorded with the DVLA as Red whereas it is currently Green. Correspondence regarding this application is available in the vehicles history file. We have spoken to the DVLA who informed us that they have no record of the registration number '700 DRM' on their system, although it is recorded on HPI as per a check we carried out on 26th July 2016, so the successful purchaser will need to apply for a V5/C registration document.

1958 Jaguar MK I 3.4 Litre

Lot #88 (Sale Order 88 of 122)

- Reportedly had a bare-metal body renovation between 1980 and 1992 - Believed to have featured in the 2008 movie Telstar and tested by Jaguar World magazine - Fitted with power steering and claimed to have a very comprehensive history The vendor informs us that this appealingly coloured Jaguar 3.4 saloon had a refresh of its bodywork by its restorer-owner between 1980 and 1992, and that the work is recorded with photographs. The restorer then enjoyed the results of their hard work until 2007, and after 27 years ownership they sold the car. Later owners are reported to have carried out several "intelligent upgrades" to the cooling system, steering, brakes, suspension, and wheels, making the car a "really able performer, while pleasant in present day's traffic in town or on motorways". Apparently the car featured in the film Telstar, and also in Jaguar World Monthly magazine. Between 2009 and 2014 the car was reportedly used regularly on extended continental trips and has been residing recently with its English owner in France. We have been told that in 2010 the Jaguar XJ6 power steering system was replaced with a "switchable electro-mechanical pump" to give "more feel to the system". The vendor describes the car as having "good" paintwork, "very good" bodywork, engine, and electrical equipment, and "excellent" transmission and interior trim. This visually appealing motor car apparently comes with "three history box files" and is being sold very attractively without a reserve price.

1972 Ford Capri Broadspeed Turbo Bullit 1972 Ford Capri Broadspeed Turbo Bullit

1972 Ford Capri Broadspeed Turbo Bullit

Lot #95 (Sale Order 95 of 122)

- Reputedly 1 of just 15 Broadspeed Turbo Bullits built and the only LHD survivor - Exhibited at the 1973 Barcelona Motor Show and subsequently owned by renowned Spanish racing driver Rafaez Barrios - Said to have covered just 30,000km from new Inspired by the legendary Mustang, the Capri was Ford's European pony car and has a special place in many enthusiasts' hearts. With 138bhp on tap, the 3.0-litre versions of the MKI were quick cars, but a lot faster still when breathed on by one of the independent tuners of the period. Notable among these was Broadspeed who, based on their experience of preparing racing Escorts and Capris, offered both normally-aspirated and Turbocharged 'Bullit' Capris' for the road - the name was a nod to the legendary film Bullitt (with two Ts) and its Mustang-driving detective of the same name. It is thought only 15 Turbo variants were built, all of which were based on MKI 'Facelift' chassis, of which the sale car is one of only seven remaining, and the only left-hand drive example. Manufactured at Ford's Halewood plant in December 1972, it was immediately converted by Broadspeed before being shipped to Spain, where it formed part of the company's 1973 Barcelona Motorshow display. It then passed into the hands of Spanish racing driver Rafael Barrios before acquiring owners in Madrid and Coruna. After a period of storage following a minor accident it was acquired by Garcia Autos of Lugo, from whom the vendor purchased it in 2007. It was granted the UK registration 'YNE 125L' in July 2008; the same year it featured in Retro Ford magazine alongside 'EPY 302L', the oldest Turbo Bullit. Understood to have driven just 30,000 kilometres from new, this rare Fast Ford has never been restored, yet remains resplendent in its original livery of Monza Blue and contrasting bonnet, and is currently considered by the vendor to have 'excellent' bodywork, Tan vinyl/cloth interior trim, 3.1-litre V6 engine and four-speed manual gearbox, and 'very good' paintwork. It comes complete with rear window louvres, boot spoiler and MOT.

1958 Jaguar MK I 2.4 Litre 1958 Jaguar MK I 2.4 Litre

1958 Jaguar MK I 2.4 Litre

Lot #98 (Sale Order 98 of 122)

- A 'home market' car that pleasingly retains matching chassis and engine numbers - The subject of an extensive bodywork restoration and mechanical overhaul in recent years - Factory-fitted Tan leather upholstery, Moss 4-speed gearbox plus optional overdrive, original registration number Vendor Condition Ratings: Bodywork: 'Very Good' Engine: 'Very Good' Electrical Equipment: 'Very Good' Paintwork: 'Good' Gearbox: 'Very Good' Interior Trim: 'Excellent' Introduced at the 1955 Earls' Court Motor Show, the Jaguar 2.4 (retrospectively known as the MKI) was notable as the marque's first monocoque design. Powered by a 2443cc DOHC XK engine and reputedly capable of over 100mph, the luxuriously trimmed newcomer proved a deservedly strong seller. Although, a short production run - 1956-1959 - meant that its MKII successor was far more populous. Sporting the wider front grille and smaller rear wheel spats introduced in 1958, this particular example also boasts individual front seats and the twin options of (working) overdrive and a dashboard-mounted passenger grab handle. Extensively restored during the last few years, the Jaguar retains its original bodyshell albeit augmented with brand new wings, closing panels, replacement spats, new jacking points, inner / outer sills, front chassis cross member and 'crow's feet'. The bumper irons, chassis rails and rear spring carriers were re-metalled, the rear wheelarches repaired and the rear valance replaced before the whole of the underside was waxoyled. A bare metal repaint was undertaken, much re-chroming done, the dashboard re-veneered, a new steering wheel fitted and the original Tan leather upholstery cleaned. The factory-fitted engine (matching block and head numbers) was overhauled and attention paid to the water pump, carburettors, fuel pump, brakes (fronts uprated with Volvo 240/60 callipers), rear axle, Panhard Rod assembly, clutch, front wheel bearings, handbrake mechanism and rear springs. Benefiting from the fitment of new radial tyres all round, the sports saloon is described thus by the vendor: 'After restoration the car probably presented as well as it had done when new and there has been only minor wear and tear to the outside since. The interior is a joy to sit in. The Moss gearbox changes particularly nicely. The car comes with its owner's handbook and service manual, two nice period documents in their own right'.

1991 Nissan Pulsar GTI-R

Lot #101 (Sale Order 101 of 122)

- Japanese import 'Umbrella' model in Pearl Grey complete with original Nissan umbrella - c.50,600 miles recorded, permanent four-wheel drive - Recaro front seats and OZ Racing alloy wheels Badged as Pulsar in Japan and Sunny in Europe, the N14 GTI-R was a homologation variant built between 1990 and 1994 to enable Nissan to participate in the World Rally Championship under Group A. Distinguished from the standard hatchback by its large rear wing and bonnet scoop, the model was powered by a 2-litre turbocharged engine producing some 227hp and was capable of 0-60mph in around 5 seconds with a top speed of c.144mph. Finished in grey with black interior, this low mileage 'Umbrella' model was imported c.1998 and has been in dry storage between 2013 and April 2016. In December 2015 new sills were fitted and the underside undersealed. The engine and differential oils were changed in April this year and new coolant added. Described as having "very good" bodywork with "good" paintwork and interior, which benefits from the fitment of Recaro front seats, the vendor advises the air-conditioning is currently not working. Gearchanges are said to be "smooth" and a new clutch was fitted prior to the car being stored in 2013. The engine is described as "good". Offered with Swansea V5C document and current MoT to 15 April 2017. An HPI check shows the car was the subject of a Category D insurance claim in May 2001 although no further details are available.

Lot #103 (Sale Order 103 of 122)

- Resprayed over the winter of 2015/2016 - Carburettor conversion in January 2016 - Rare 5 speed manual transmission example Introduced onto an expectant market in 1968, the 4.2 first series XJ6 was Sir William Lyons long running masterpiece which carried on in production in Series 3 form well into the late 1980's. One of the first Series 3 cars built, RYC 91V features the rare manual 5-speed transmission which the vendor advises suits the car very well. Finished in white with black leather, it is understood to have had a speedometer change in 2009 at 95,000 miles, we are advised that just 1,000 miles have been covered since. The car was resprayed over the winter of 2015/2016 and a carburettor conversion carried out in January 2016 to enhance reliability. 1982 Range Rover Two Door'

Lot #105 (Sale Order 105 of 122)

- LHD, said to be 'highly orignal' and comes with French Carte Grise - Believed but not warranted to have covered some 50,000km from new - Desirable two-door 'Rangie' with 3.5 litre V8 and manual transmission The Range Rover re-defined the 4x4 market when it was born into an unsuspecting world in 1970. Unmolested versions of what have retrospectively been dubbed the Range Rover Classic are now much prized, so one can expect this highly original one that apparently boasts just one owner from new to cause quite a stir. It is a left-hand drive three-door French example that's only recently been repatriated and comes complete with its original carte grise. Its indicated mileage of under 50,000kms is believed by the vendor to be correct, and he currently grades the V8 engine and Tan-coloured cloth interior trim as 'very good', the manual transmission as 'good', the bodywork and electrical equipment as 'average' and the Yellow paintwork as now being in rather 'poor' condition. The Range Rover Classic was produced from 1970 to 1996, at which point it was supplanted by the more contemporary-looking but mechanically similar P38A.
