Much coveted because of its good looks and great handling, Auto Express magazine hailed the Corrado as "one of VW's best-ever drivers' cars" at launch. The VR6 model was listed as one of the "25 Cars You Must Drive Before You Die" by the British magazine, Car and 'By far the most desirable version of the Corrado' by Auto Express. Classic Car Auctions are delighted to present this 1995 Volkswagen Corrado 2.9 VR6 'Storm' Limited Edition. A UK-only limited production model, the Corrado Storm differed from the standard car by having some discreet 'Storm' badging, a colour-coded front grille, an additional Storm badge on the gear gaiter surround, 15 inch BBS 'Solitude' alloy wheels, and some previously optional items, such as the leather heated front seats, fitted as standard. Only 500 were produced: 250 in Mystic Blue and 250 in Classic Green with a Cream leather interior as we have here. UK specified, right-hand drive and just 8,285 miles...First registered on the 10th March 1978 and has only had two owners having been purchased from the original owner by our vendor in 1994. At the time of purchase, our vendor had spent a long time trying to source the best 260Z possible and ended up selecting this car because of its very low mileage and long term ownership. After purchasing the car it was used sparingly for just one year before a change in circumstances meant that it was put into storage in 1995 showing just 8,284 miles on the clock from new. It would remain there for a further 21 years, untouched, until revealed in May of this year. When the car was pulled out of storage it underwent a thorough inspection by specialist Richard Thorne Classic Cars. The engine was turned by hand and then connected to a small auxiliary fuel tank to bypass the fuel tank/lines and briefly started and run with no obvious issues. In order for a new owner to fully run the car, the condition of the inside of the tank and fuel lines would need to be inspected and old fuel drained. It would also need a full mechanical service including thoroughly going through the braking system. Finished in a striking shade of Copper Bronze Metallic, the bodywork is generally in very good condition with small, localised bubbles of rust here and there and some surface rust on the chrome work. There are some minor paint blisters in various places, mainly on the roof. Inside the car is in very good condition showing no obvious signs of excessive use. Offered with a history file containing past MOTs, original handbook, service book detailing two services, original tool roll, jack and wheel chock and an older letter from the Datsun 'Z' Car Register confirming its mileage. 1994 BMW E36 M3 3.0

Offered for sale is a 3.0L 1994 BMW E36 M3 3.0 manual that has been with the current owner for the last 2 years. Coming with an extensive history file, this lot's condition scores 92/135. In 1992 BMW introduced this new M3 at the Paris Motor Show based on the E36 platform. The second incarnation of the M3 was a different animal to the 1980's E30 original, with a straight-six in place of the fizzy four, modern styling and a more refined demeanour. At this time, the Motorsport Division's new take on the iconic M3 was to utilise the standard M50TU engine (used in other E36s and earlier E34s). However, there were numerous upgrades over the standard M50 including individual throttle plates for each cylinder, continuously variable €˜Vanos' valve timing, lightweight pistons, graphite-coated connecting rods, larger inlet valves and re-designed equal length exhaust manifolds. The resultant 24-valve, S50B30 engine had a capacity of 2990cc and produced 282bhp, an output approaching 100bhp/litre, pretty impressive. The torque curve is not dissimilar to Ayers Rock, in that it is high and flat - and the dual mass flywheel contributes to the engine's ability to rev to nearly 7,300rpm. In 1996, the M3 was developed further with an increase in capacity to 3,152cc becoming known as the (M3) Evolution. The BMW E36 M3 is remembered for its road holding and all round ability and was awarded "Best-Handling Car" by Car and Driver magazine in 1997. The car presented here is a 1994 E36 M3 in the distinctive BMW colour of Avus Blue. This right-hand drive, UK car is in great original condition, having covered just 76,000 miles with just two former keepers. The car drives and feels just as you'd expect from such a well-preserved example. The driver-focused interior displays minimal wear, with even the wear-prone sports seats in great condition. Trying to find an earlier E36 M3 in this sort of condition is getting much harder. The inherent build-quality from this era is high, with a real feeling of being built-for-purpose and BMW had a hard act to follow after the E30 M3, so invested heavily in the development and execution of these early M3 E36 cars. This car comes with its BMW book-pack, a full set of keys, and the main dealer service records are consistent with the mileage. Carefully crafted recreation of an early Mini Cooper...This homage to the iconic cars of the mid-sixties was built during 2014/15 from a standard shell stripped, sandblasted and strengthened with new panels where needed, before being professionally painted in the traditional Cooper colours of Tartan Red with a Black roof. The car was then methodically reassembled using high-quality stainless steel bolts, clips and brackets.Mechanically the build consisted of a modified 1275 engine with a Cooper 'S' head and other performance parts. Braking was taken care of using Cooper 'S' discs and all the suspension was poly bushed. The car is fitted with adjustable "GAZ" shocks and the fuel supplied through a new electric pump and fuel lines. To complete the sixties Cooper image, the red and black cabin sports some new bucket seats with three-point harnesses and a 'Momo' wheel. This super Cooper evocation appears to have covered just over 1,200 miles since its build and has a current MOT. A great example of the iconic 911...In 1978, Porsche introduced their latest development of the 911, christened the '911 SC', with the SC standing for Super Carrera, Powered by a 3.0-litre six-cylinder engine with Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection and a five-speed, 915 transmission, power output initially was 180bhp, later 188bhp and then, in 1981, it was increased to a heady 204bhp. 1979 was the year that Porsche had envisioned that their new 928 would replace the 911 (we are still waiting for that to happen), however, 911 sales remained so strong that Porsche revised its strategy and decided to inject new life into their core model. This early SC was manufactured in 1978 and is finished in Red with a black leather interior, piped in red and its history file shows that the car had spent a number of years in Ireland, with Irish Vehicle Test Certificates dating from 1993. Historical photos and invoices show the car had a wings-off respray in the late 1990s, and a letter from the Porsche Club GB around that time states the car was in "Very good condition throughout. Recent wings-off respray.". Sundry other receipts and invoices show work carried out in England by Red Triangle of Kenilworth in July 2014. Further receipts from noted Porsche specialists Autofarm are on file, with a recent invoice from Jaz Specialists in Porsche of North London in August 2015 to the tune of £1,947.20, and the vendor informs us the car was serviced at this time. Purchased by our Porsche enthusiast vendor on the 14th April 2014 to "tick the red 911 box" the car has been well maintained by him. Launched in 1956, the Volkswagen Karmann Ghia Coupé (Type 14) was VW's attempt to raise its image at a time when the western world was emerging from a period of bleak post-war austerity into an era dominated by American show-biz glamour. Using the frumpy, utilitarian Beetle as their starting point, VW's executives contracted German coach builder Karmann to turn their ugly duckling into a swan. In an inspired move, Karmann turned to Italian styling house Ghia to inject some Latin brio into the project and an instant classic was born. Basically a Beetle in a Hollywood party frock, the Karmann Ghia became a runaway success, and its cool California styling made it a best-seller right up until 1974 when it was finally replaced by the Scirocco. This delightful example is an original, UK supplied car and has only just been subject to a very extensive restoration (see the website). It's been superbly repainted in its original Light Ivory with a Black Top which is a very rare factory finish and was known as a €œTop Hat€. Ever since the 300SL of the mid-fifties, Mercedes-Benz has upheld its SL range of convertible GTs as the zenith of its engineering abilities and design flair. Introduced in 2002, after some five years in development, the R230 Series SL Roadster was certainly no exception to this tradition. Painstakingly modelled on a state-of-the-art supercomputer which enabled the designers to analyse every curve and line, it looked utterly sensational with an air of barely contained aggression that gave it huge road presence. Packed full of sophisticated electronic driver aids which made it immensely safe but also fun to drive, it was an instant hit with press and public alike and is widely considered to be the best-looking Mercedes for many years. The power-operated aluminium folding roof was particularly admired and would disappear into the top of the boot at the press of a button in just 16 seconds, yet still leave enough room underneath for 206 litres of luggage space. First of the R230 range was the SL500 with its 5.4-litre V8 engine which produced 306bhp and a hefty 339ft lb of torque, all this power being delivered through a silky-smooth, 7-speed automatic gearbox. Even in a substantial body with lots of electronic toys and a folding alloy roof, it was capable of propelling the SL through 60mph in just 6 seconds with the (limited) top speed of 155mph comfortably achieved on the right stretch of road. Capable of ballistic pace when required, it also excelled as a sybaritic cruiser with 24mpg economy and there can be few finer ways to cross a continent. The only snag was the £75,000 price tag which restricted ownership to a privileged few. That original list price will not trouble the purchaser of today's 2006, 500SL which has been enjoyed by two owners and only covered 4,800 miles from new. Indeed, our current private vendor has only covered 300 miles in this car since he bought it in 2008 to add to his collection, and it's now offered for sale having recently enjoyed a health check and a fresh MoT prior to our auction. This is an enormous amount of motor car offered at a very attractive guide, and with the mileage indicated, is barely run in and ready for many more miles of powerful, enjoyable cruising. A good winter project with bills of £3,300...In 1985 Range Rover had established itself as the premium luxury off-roader with the official production of the Vogue. As the flagship model of the Rover group, it was the Vogue that went on to conquer this sector. A sector that Range Rover still dominates. The 1985 Range Rover Vogue offered as standard a refinement that was classes ahead, passenger and drive arm rests, a staple of today's Range Rover, electric windows, power steering, electric mirrors and wood door cappings. This 1985 Vogue, is one of the earliest production Vogues and was bought by this consignor to offer motorway cruising and country pottering. It was purchased with a 1.9 Perkins diesel engine, a common engine that was fitted in the Eighties as the only diesel, before Land Rover's launch of the 200TDI, that fitted into the Range Rover's engine bay. Suffice to say that the Perkins engine couldn't pull a leaf from a tree, and the consignor was offered a donor engine direct from a 1999 Land Rover Discovery. The 2.5 300TDI fitted well and returned some 35mpg on motorway trips over some 15,000 miles from October 2014 to the present. Currently showing an odometer reading of 62,300 miles, although not warranted, the condition of the interior suggests it may be accurate. Bought as a rolling restoration, the paint has oxidised and the door cappings need re-varnishing, this consignor intended to sort out the mechanicals before finishing off the restoration with a respray in what is believed to be the original Venetian Red. A full service was carried out in October 2015 that included timing belt, rear coil springs, some welding on the chassis, brake pipes, full set of pads and discs, rear calipers, new tyres, exhaust manifold, head skim among others to include a total cost of some £3,300. To try and solve an intermittent overheating issue a new radiator was fitted in June 2016. The mechanic in July 2016, after a "sniff test" of the coolant whilst the engine was running, has suggested that the cylinder head gasket needs addressing. Although it pulls strongly on the road and is MOTd until October 2016 this car is offered at No Reserve and is sold as a "non-runner". A competent mechanic can address these issues, or a restorer could fit a period correct 3.5 V8 Rover petrol engine. Launched in 1968, the BMW E9 Coupé was one of the most handsome cars ever to roll from the Munich factory. Sleek and shark-like, it had a wonderfully elegant and airy cockpit with slim windscreen pillars, a large glass area, and a beautifully restrained wooden dash. Initially powered by a 2.8-litre straight six, this was replaced by a 3-litre unit in 1971 that produced 180bhp on Solex carbs, later 200bhp with Bosch fuel injection which gave it a top speed of 140mph. The E9 platform, particularly the 3.0CSL lightweight homologation special, was very successful in racing, especially in the European Touring Car Championship and the German DRM series which helped to establish BMW's status as a sporty driver's car. Only 30,546 E9 Coupés were built in total before production came to an end in 1975.The left-hand drive, Fjord Blue example here was built in 1973 and is powered by a 3-Litre straight six producing 180bhp on Solex Carbs. 1946 MG TC Midget

Offered for sale is a 1.1L 1946 MG TC manual. Coming with a partial history file, this lot's condition scores an impressive 107/135. Stunning, post-war, British sports car.... Somewhat of a rarity in original right-hand drive form as TCs were built primarily for the US market, so it's a treat to see a home market car with its original registration number, GOF 335. Launched in 1945, the basis of the new car was the pre-war MG TB. It was to have a similar 1250cc pushrod-ohv engine, gearbox, and axles, and the only significant changes would be to the body which was widened by nearly 4" across the seats without changing the basic chassis, wings and running boards or fascia layout. The TC was improved in detail too, the side screens now had flaps to facilitate hand signalling, the electrical equipment was also updated with the twin 6-volt batteries removed from the underfloor position of the TB to a bulkhead box containing a large 12-volt battery. There were also changes to the suspension, hydraulic lever arm dampers were fitted and the road springs were mounted in shackles rather than the traditional sliding trunnions. This 1946 MG has only had three owners from new and was stored from 1963 up until 1995 and subsequently duly stripped down in readiness for a total rebuild. This took place from 2003 up to 2006 and there is a substantial photographic record of this classic car's return to its sparkling best. Initially supplied by MG with a 'Stage 3' option, (modified head, wider wheels etc) those features were retained during the restoration Although the odometer is showing 36,300 miles this cannot be warranted, however, as its effectively a two-owner car (the third being a spouse) it may well be accurate. Now presented in a delightful shade of French Blue, complemented by a Tan interior, Light Tan hood and chrome luggage rack, this charming MG's condition is as you would expect having only covered a few 'cossetted' miles since its renaissance. This rare, right-hand drive, automatic, Mk.I Interceptor is an original UK car, first registered on 5th March 1968. The car remained in the UK until 2007 when it was exported to the continent where it belonged to our Belgium vendor. The decision was taken to treat the car to a sympathetic restoration in 2014/15 at a cost of approximately ‚¬30,000. Initially, it was subject to a mechanical overhaul with many new parts fitted including a new radiator with dual fans to cure the occasional overheating issues of the early cars. The engine was also partly dismantled and checked for any damage or wear. At this point, the choice was made to fully strip and repaint the car in its original colour of Crystal Blue and, naturally, all of the brightwork was removed and refinished also. The wonderful Italian-styled cockpit presents very well with what, at first glance, appears to be the original interior showing only nominal signs of wear. It's accompanied by a history file containing many past invoices, and whilst the car was previously UK registered, it's currently registered in the EU, so it will have a NOVA identity applied for at the time of sale. Two owners, the current for 24 years...The Mk II was a handsome, powerful and great handling saloon which was offered with a choice of three six-cylinder, twin-cam engines, 2.4, 3.4 or 3.8 litre. The Mk II 3.8 litre is a quick car even by today's standards. The engine produced 220bhp and was capable of accelerating from 0-60mph in 8.5 seconds and could reach a top speed of 125mph and, when the car was new, it was unquestionably one of, if not the fastest saloon car on the planet. This stunning manual example was registered on the 16th November 1966 and was delivered with the 3.4-litre engine to the first of two owners. Our vendor, who took over custodianship on the 22nd July 1992, carried out a program of restoration works that included upgrading the engine with the highly desirable and common 3.8-litre replacement with overdrive. A generous sum of £21,000 was reportedly spent over the years, and it shows. The dark blue coachwork gleams, the chrome dazzles and the grey leather interior is remarkably fresh. Showing an odometer reading of 7,538, we presume 'TAR 262D' has 'gone round the clock', which is largely immaterial in such a well-restored car. Coming with an extensive history file, this lot's condition scores an impressive 108/135. Hugely specified and rather quick...Overfinch are an award winning, Leeds based company that have specialised in customising Range Rovers for many years. In addition to their bespoke coachwork and interior conversions, they used to hand build their engines, although that ceased with the end of production of the 580S. They took the standard 4.4 M62 BMW V8, bored it to 94mm, added the E39 M5's crankshaft, rods and forged MAHLE pistons, raising displacement to 5 litres and a modest 380bhp and 376lb/ft. Along with some head work and a free-flow bespoke exhaust system, the car is a lot more responsive and potent than the standard 4.4-litre. The 580S offered here is the last example ever built, so effectively, this is the last Overfinch conversion using their own hand-built engine. The car is finished in sparkling Zambesi Silver Metallic and the 7-seat interior is superbly stylish in Champagne and Navy. The specification is too long to list here (see below), but in the vendor's words "if it was available on this year of Range Rover then it has it". Our vendor is this dramatic Range Rover's second custodian and he has carried out a considerable amount of work on the car during his ownership. 1970 Jaguar E-Type Series II 2+2 Manual

Offered for sale is a 4.2L 1970 Jaguar E-Type Series II 2+2 manual. Coming with a partial history file, this lot's condition scores 55/135. With just 507 left in the UK, a great winter project...the Series II is considered, in hindsight, to be the best variant of the iconic E-Type. Improved features included a wrap-around rear bumper with the tail lights now underneath, and the larger front indicators were similarly repositioned below the slightly heavier front bumpers. The cooling was much improved helped by the enlarged 'mouth'. Series II cars also featured twin electric fans and uprated brakes. A growing demand for rear seats prompted Jaguar to launch the 2+2 Coupé in 1969, and by adding nine inches to the wheelbase and two inches in height, it became possible to fit a rear seat capable of seating two adults in tolerable comfort. This manual example, in Old English White with a contrasting black leather interior, was first registered on the 10th January 1970 to the first of three former keepers before being bought by a Mr. Measday of Neath, South Wales, on the 8th May 1993. Purchased by our vendor on the 1st June 1999, on the recommendation of the mechanic who had maintained the car in the past, the car was used regularly on family duties. It was last granted an MOT certificate in July 2000 and was later laid up with the intention of carrying out a full restoration, which never happened! Having been in dry storage since then, the car presents in fair condition, and could be described as a "barn find", but in reality, it's a lot better than expected although it hasn't turned a wheel in some sixteen years. A visual examination in cramped quarters showed that this 2+2 is in largely complete condition. The car is presented to auction showing an odometer reading of 43,683 and accompanied by its Swansea V5c, old SORNs, MOTs and a spare wheel. With just 507, according to online data, examples of the Series II 2+2 left in the UK, 'MDR 888H' deserves to be back on the road, displaying the grace, space, and pace for which it was once famous. BMW wanted to offer a more upmarket GT type Coupé based on the "New Class" platform, so they turned to German coachbuilder Karmann to produce the bodies for the 2000 C series. The new car was penned in house by BMW's legendary designer Wilhelm Hofmeister, famous for the Hofmeister-Kink -- the distinctive upwards kink on the lower window-line of the C- or D-Pillar found on most BMW's to this day. The stylish new Karmann-bodied coupé bodywork, combined with BMW's brilliant two-litre overhead-cam engine, created a fabulous package and its sales were only hampered by its premium price. The 2000 C would eventually serve as the basis for the legendary BMW E9 Coupés. This left-hand drive, 2000CS Coupé was imported from Germany and has an unwarranted mileage of 44,660. The new, must have, 1970's sports car...The launch of the Datsun 240Z was well timed, as enthusiasts decided it was the spiritual successor to the much-loved Austin Healey 3000, and contemporary road tests reinforced the 'hairy chested' and 'proper sports car' image. The lusty 2.4 straight six overhead cam engine delivered over 150bhp and gave the car a 0-60mph time of around 8 seconds and a 125mph top speed. The manual gearbox contained five-speeds and the car featured independent suspension all round, with MacPherson struts at the front and Chapman struts at the rear. Rack and pinion power steering and front disc brakes enhanced the package still further. Imported from the States in March of this year, this left-hand drive 240Z has now had all the necessary work carried out to bring it up to UK standards and is offered with an MOT certificate until July 2017 and a V5c. The production plate inside the car declares that it was built in October 1971 and the odometer currently reads 94,500 miles. Finished in Datsun Red Orange (110) with a Black leather interior. The vendor has told us that the paint €œLooks like a respray but is mostly in original condition€. He goes on to describe the car as in €œLovely condition with excellent interior€. Obviously, this is his opinion, but certainly, the photographs suggest that it's in very good shape. Offered for sale is a .918L 1951 Morris Minor manual. Coming with a partial history file, this lot's condition scores 83/135. Everyone loves a Moggie...This, well-preserved, 1951, 918cc side-valve Morris Minor was the subject of a full nut and bolt, engine out rebuild in around 2009 to include body and mechanicals. Since that time, the car has travelled a mere 1,343 miles and so and is barely 'run in'. It's finished in a very smart, period correct, green and the interior has been delightfully and accurately restored in a light cream with the seats piped in a complementing green. The wheels are also finished in cream and the car is set off by a set of 'pencil-whitewall' tyres, which were the height of fashion in the early fifties. The car comes with a buff log book relating to its previous registration number (OOP 575) and has only had two former keepers. There are also some old MOTs dating back to 1973 with the car. The most valuable Minors are the earliest Series MM cars, the so-called 'low-light' examples, complete with headlights mounted in the grille, and they have been known to sell for more than £10,000 in perfect condition. However, they are closely followed by the early fifties, split windscreens Minors which have more charm, are more sought after, and considerably rarer than the later cars. Much famed for its motorsport successes, the Celica GT-Four won a total of 30 rallies in ST165, ST185, and ST205 guises. The 'homologation special' road cars were also successful, selling well in the UK, with the possible exception of the (1994-on) ST205 which had become a touch expensive over here. The model remained popular in Japan, however, where it was manufactured until 1999. Since then many Japanese versions have reached UK shores, with the ST205's curvaceous styling and rock-solid build quality ageing more gracefully than its cheaper rivals. A standard car when new hit 60 in 5.9 seconds and topped out at around 153mph, but the gearing feels especially focused at 50-120mph, perhaps not surprising for a rally inspired car. Permanent four-wheel drive and those two clever diffs mean grip levels are always high, and unlike most other rally reps the Celica's steering lets you know exactly what's going on. This exciting 1995 Toyota Celica GT-Four ST205, is an 83,000kms (51,573m), right-hand drive, manual gearbox car finished in Factory Yellow and was recently imported from Japan. A rare little Italian hatchback showing just 86,420 miles...The Fiat Strada 130TC Abarth was a fascinating left-field entry into the 'hot hatch' wars of the 1980s. The 130TC was a drivers' car, posting better performance figures than the omnipresent Golf GTI and in a world where fuel injection ruled the roost, Fiat produced the results with a pair of Weber carburettors and a 2.0-litre engine. Coming out of a 12-year hibernation, this original UK supplied, right-hand drive car has been owned by the present vendor for some 12 years. He drove the car for a while before committing it to long-term dry storage as a possible future project and we understand that the car was running well up to the point of being driven into storage. The vendor tells us that the windscreen is cracked and will need replacing along with a section of the plastic trim at the bottom of the door, and there are some small rust bubbles on the bodywork. The Cromodora alloy wheels (including the spare) are described as being in generally good condition. The XJS Convertible, which first appeared in 1988 at a price of £36,000, was considerably more than merely a coupé with the roof removed. The earlier 'T'-top cabriolet paved the way as the first open Jaguar since the demise of the E-Type in 1975, but this was to be the first full convertible and a strengthened sub-frame was employed in order to alleviate scuttle shake. It looked superb and elegant with the hood erect or folded and finally met the demands of the highly valued North American market. Retaining the roomy cockpit space of the coupé, the new convertible boasted a useful shelf for excess luggage and all the expected Jaguar refinements as standard. It made for a very fine open top grand touring car, exceeding the specification of other home-grown machinery and being much cheaper than the equivalent high-profile Mercedes SL. Today, this model is very much establishing itself as a most worthy latter-day classic, good examples being eagerly sought by connoisseurs of the marque. This 1989 example is finished in metallic Burgundy with Cream Leather and has covered an unwarranted 36,767 miles. A cute little van, ideal for promotion purposes...The Austin A35 was a small family car that was sold by Austin from 1956 until 1968 and replaced the highly successful Austin A30. The name reflected the larger and more powerful 35 horsepower A-Series inline four-cylinder engine, enabling a slightly higher top speed and better acceleration. A number of different body styles were produced over the years, including the van, probably better known to younger audiences as the famous van in the 2005 smash hit animated film, Wallace & Gromit. Purchased, quite recently, by our vendor for nostalgic reasons (his first car was an A35 Van), he immediately commenced returning it to top condition and there are receipts for £4,500 detailing all the work that has been carried out in the last few months. 1970 Rover 3.5 V8 P5B Saloon

Offered for sale is a 3.5L 1970 Rover P5B manual. Coming with a partial history file, this lot's condition scores 66/135. A stately Rover much favoured by The Queen...The Rover 'P5 Series' is a group of large, executive, saloons and coupés produced by Rover from 1958 until 1973. Models were marketed under the names Rover 3 Litre, Rover 3.5 Litre and Rover 3½ Litre. The Mark III was presented at the London Motor Show in October 1965, described at the time as "even more luxuriously trimmed and furnished". It was again available in two separate, 4-door body styles, coupé and saloon. The Mark III used the same engine as its predecessor, but it now produced 134 horsepower. Externally it could be distinguished by the full-length trim strip along the body and Mark III badging; internally it replaced the rear bench seat with two individually moulded rear seats, making it more comfortable to ride in for four occupants but less so for five. The final iteration of the P5 appeared in September 1967. Now powered by the 3,528 cc Rover V8 engine also used in the 3500, the car was badged as the "3.5 Litre", and commonly known as the 3½ Litre. The final letter in the "P5B" model name came from Buick, the engine's originator. The Queen's P5B is currently on display at the Heritage Motor Centre at Gaydon. First registered in October 1970, this Rover P5B is finished in White, and we understand has covered 88,000 miles. This 1968 OSI 20M TS 2.3 Coupé is a nice example of the rare four-seat grand tourer bodied by Italian coachbuilder Ghia for Ford of Europe and combined Italian design flair with Ford€™s technical and marketing savvy, during a short period in the 1960s. Approximately 2,200 were produced by Officine Stampaggi Industriali, Ghia's independent design branch in Torino, with around 200 being the generally agreed number that remain. This is a later 2.3-litre example and is believed to drive well. The older repaint maintains an even shine over straight-fitting body panels and the panel gaps look decent. The orange 'Dralon' upholstery and polished hardware make for a striking combination in an otherwise simple interior. and the centre console houses a period Blaupunkt, single side-mounted speaker, and an ashtray shared with the Maserati Ghibli. 1964 Ginetta G4R

Rare, early sixties, Sports Racer with provenance...The Walkett Brothers began constructing competition cars under the Ginetta name in the mid-1950s and in 1961, introduced the G4 which became an immediate success in club racing. The car was initially homologated with the 997cc Ford B105 engine and was sold, either with that engine, or a 1500cc non-crossflow. The factory noted the results of their customers racing the G4 and began an effort to campaign a factory sponsored €œworks€ G4 which led to the development of the G4R. The 'R' designating a purpose built full-race car with several developments including a Ginetta designed independent rear axle with inboard rear disc brakes and the fitting of the Lotus Twin-Cam engine. The cars were an immediate success on the circuit but surprisingly very few G4Rs were built and sold. The number 04/0089 is etched on one of the round chassis tubes of the red G4 here and Ivor Walklett of Ginetta has confirmed in writing that it is one of his early G4Rs. It has recently undergone a complete rebuild by Martin Cliffe of Omicron Lancia in Norfolk to a fast road specification and is currently powered by a Lotus Twin-Cam dry sumped engine fully built by Paul Exon to produce 155bhp. The car was exported to Australia in its early years and appears to have enjoyed a racing career out there prior to coming back home in the late nineties, but we have no history of any British racing. There is a large history file, including receipts for the recent rebuild, with the car, a copy of its original Buff Log Book and the MOT Certificate issued in July.The car comes with a factory hard top which includes sliding windows. It has just been fitted with new Avon tyres and a battery and is ready to go, subject to the normal legal requirements for the safety equipment. A Coventry Classic...The Standard Eight of 1953 was a fine response to the Morris Minor, Austin A30 and Anglia 100E. Trim levels were basic in the extreme, with absolutely no frills, but you did get independent front suspension, a four-speed gearbox, monocoque construction, and an impressive 40+ mpg from the new 803cc overhead valve engine. Although never particularly quick, they were rallied, and the works team entered only a few events, but attracted distinguished drivers such as Stuart Turner, Maurice Gatsonides, and Paddy Hopkirk, achieving high placings on the RAC and Tulip rallies. This 1955 Standard 8 has been with the current owner since 2001, and during that time has undergone a body and paint restoration and been fitted with a fully rebuilt, more powerful, 948cc Standard 10 engine and a new differential. 1980 Ford Escort RS2000 Custom

Offered for sale is a 2.0L 1980 Ford Escort RS2000 Custom manual that has been with the current owner for the last 10 years. Coming with an extensive history file, this lot's condition scores 82/135. Launched in Jan 1976, the RS2000 was based on the two-door MKII Escort and used a 2-litre in-line four cylinder, SOHC, 'Pinto' engine mounted longitudinally in the bay. The gearbox was bolted to the rear of the engine and power was then fed to the diff by a prop shaft and then onto the rear wheels. A single twin venturi 32/36 DGAV Weber carb was fitted with the option of a Group 1 dual Weber 40 DCNF or IDF. Front suspension used independent MacPherson struts with an anti-roll bar and the rear suspension used leaf springs with telescopic dampers. Front mounted disks (solid) and rear drums were used and four-spoke alloy wheels came as standard. The most recognizable feature of the Mk2 RS2000 is the droop snoot nose. In late 1978, the Custom Pack became an option and included the following; Fishnet Recaro seats, full door cards, clock and pod centre console, 6Jx13€³ alloys, boot carpet, remote drivers door mirror and the back panel around the rear lights was black. This 1980, RS 2000 is fitted with the Custom Pack and has covered 107,000 miles. Finished in Black with a Chocolate interior, our vendor has owned the car for 10 years and describes it as generally good. Might need a bit of attention here and there but it is a Fast Ford and it is an 'RS'.
