Arthur Atkinson 1930s Australian and British speedway memorabilia, a gold wristwatch with the back engraved WEMBLEY SPEEDWAY, PRESENTED TO A.ATKINSON SNR. IN RECOGNITION OF HIS VALUABLE SERVICES TO THE WEMBLEY TEAM, SOUTHERN LEAGUE CHAMPIONS 1930, a quality Swiss movement in an English 1929 hallmarked 9-carat cushion form case by Stolkase; a photo album of his 1930 overseas travel and Australian racing successes, including many period press photos and clippings; a 1938-1939 scrapbook of his time with West Ham Speedway with many specialist press photos, cartoons and clippings, plus a 'Hammers' silk scarf signed by the 1938 Australian tourist and West Ham speedway teams, 71cm. square (qty.) Arthur Atkinson gained a motorcycle licence just as speedway, or 'dirt-track' racing as it was then known, was introduced into this country. He won his first individual championship at the age of 16, then travelled with his father, who looked after his Rudge motorbikes, to Western Australia two years later where he won another in 1930. Now established as a world-class rider, he soon moved from the Wembley-based league team to become a mainstay of the 'Hammers' at West Ham for many years.

A group of four badges relating to the Grand Prix D'Europe at Silverstone 13th May 1950 the very first World Championship Formula One race, four cardboard badges, three strung, and designated PRIVILEGE PASS, ROYAL AUTOMOBILE CLUB; PRESS PASS, TRACK; & RACE SERVICE, ROYAL AUTOMOBILE CLUB; the fourth lacking its original brooch fitting inscribed ROYAL AUTOMOBILE CLUB, ATTENDANT; sold together with a B.R.D.C. Pits Grandstand pass for the 15th International Trophy Meeting, Silverstone, 11th May 1963 (5) Held on 13 May 1950 at Silverstone the 5th British Grand Prix was also designated as the Grand Prix D'Europe. This very first World Championship round was attended by King George VI & Queen Elizabeth, Princess Margaret and the Earl & Countess Mountbatten of Burma. The race was won by Giuseppe Farina driving an Alfa Romeo.

Giuseppe Farina and Baron Emmanuel de Graffenried autographs from 1951, both signed in ink upon pages removed from that year's official event programme for the Ulster Trophy meeting at Dundrod, the former signed G Farina, the latter E de Graffenried, details of the royal visit by their Majesties the King and Queen upon the reverse The event winner Farina was the first-ever reigning F1 World Champion, while de Graffenried ('Toulo' to his friends) had won the first F1 British Grand Prix to be held at Silverstone in 1948.

1954 Dundrod Tourist Trophy Lancia team photographs, fifteen large b&w prints of the Lancia team's 3.3-litre D24 and 3.8-litre D25 sportscars, their drivers including Alberto Ascari, Juan Manuel Fangio, Piero Taruffi, Eugenio Castellotti, Robert Manzon and Luigi Valenzano, each 8 by 10in, copyright Ted Walker, sold with a later print of a period press photo of the race start; offered with Jaguar Mk VII Race and Rally period photographs, comprising three large b&w prints of the May 1954 Silverstone Production Car race, each 8 by 12in. from Autocar magazine, another of the 1956 Monte Carlo Rally winning car of Ronnie Adams/ Frank Biggar/ D Johnston, plus later correspondence with Ronnie Adams and a newspaper clipping (22) This is thought to be the Lancia D25's only race start, other than at an Italian hillclimb. The team's Mille Miglia winner Ascari started from pole in his, before Fangio & Taruffi finished second in theirs.

Jack Brabham and Ron Tauranac signed limited edition print and period photos, the lithograph 'History in the Making' after Tony Randall, numbered 192/850 and also signed by the artist, 50 by 80cm., a large double signed black & white photograph of Brabham & Tauranac, a similarly signed colour Indianapolis photo, plus a Braham signed b/w photo of Graham Hill with the 1965 Formula 3 Brabham; together with a lithograph signed by former RAF decorated WWII Australian pilot and 1950s racing driver Tony Gaze, plus artist Jiri Strouhal, 'Downing the Messerschmitt' no. 263/1000, 50 by 70cm.(5) The type number of each Brabham car was preceded by the initials 'BT' that stood for Brabham -Tauranac; Jack was initially responsible for driving and testing and Ron for design and engineering.

SCHUMACHER, numerous sponsorship logos, the back of the collar with FIA accreditation; sold with a letter of authenticity signed by Sabine Kehm, Managing Director, The MS Office, Gland, Switzerland, dated 17th December 2015 and confirming that this suit was worn during the 2011 Turkish GP. (2) Michael Schumacher finished in 12th position in this race during the penultimate season of his Formula 1 driving career.

Michael Schumacher-signed large racing helmet design poster, the signature dated 2013, a company promotional edition titled SCHUBERTH - HEAD PROTECTION TECHNOLOGY and featuring his marker pen signature between images of him with his Mercedes F1 car and his 2009 Honda German Superbike, mounted, framed & glazed, 97 by 72cm. Michael Schumacher helped the Schuberth company develop the first lightweight carbon-fibre helmets that are now commonly used throughout motorsport. Ironically this technology helped save Felipe Massa from severe head injuries when hit by flying debris in practice for the Austrian GP in 2009, an episode which subsequently prompted Michael's F1 comeback.

Fernando Alonso race-worn & signed Ferrari racing suit from the 2010 Formula One season, signed in black marker pen to upper left chest, red Puma Noxex race suit, the waistband bearing the Spanish flag and inscribed FERNANDO, numerous sponsorship logos, the back of the collar with FIA accreditation Fernando Alonso finished runner-up in the driver's standings with a total of 252 points, just 4 points behind Sebastian Vettel. The championship had gone down to the wire with no less than four drivers having a mathematical chance of claiming the World Title at the final Grand Prix at Abu Dhabi. Alonso needed to finish fourth to guarantee the World Championship but could only manage sixth, allowing Vettel to become the youngest world champion in F1 history.
