Lot of Two (2) German WWII Leuchtpistole 34 Single Shot Flare Pistols, with Two Holsters, 26.5mm smoothbore cal., 6" barrels with octagonal chambers, duralumin construction with anodized finish. Grips have steel lanyard rings on butts. No sights. Break-open actions with lever releases. Both pistols have matching numbers on frames and barrels and are marked with "(crown)B,U" and "(eagle)359" inspection stamps on right side frames and barrels: 1)#976. Marked "Waffenfabrik Walther Zella-Mehlis(Thur)/Walther banner/1939". Condition overall is fair, the metal retaining approx. 30% finish, with wear, scratches, and rust patina to the trigger guard and release lever. Muzzle has impact marks and is no longer round with damage to the right side. Black bakelite grips are good with wear, chips, and scratches to the bottoms. Bore rates as fair with pitting and darkening. Action locks up and operates smoothly. Black leather holster is unmarked. Condition is poor, the belt loops have been removed from the rear, and the bottom cap and stitching are missing from the last 3". 2) #880b. Marked "Waffenfabrik Walther Zella Mehlis(Thur)"/Walther Banner/1936". Condition overall is good, the metal retaining approx. 70% finish, with edgewear, scratches to the frame and barrel, and rust patina to the trigger guard, release lever, and hammer. Grips are good with chips and wear to the checkering. Muzzle has a small impact mark and is no longer round, with damage to the lower right side. Bore rates as fair with patina and dark spots. Action locks up and operates smoothly. Synthetic black holster is unmarked. Condition is fair with stiffness, impressions, and handling marks to the body and rust to the belt rings and rivets.
