.40 caliber. 30" octagonal barrel, S/N C 20687, Heavy barrel 1.250" across the flats of the barrel.  This a factory conversion of a civil war carbine action.  They installed a new barrel and replaced the forearm with a new two screw forearm.  The barrel Has the Sharps markings, made in Bridgeport. A rear Springfield Buffington rear barrel sight and front folding beach sight.  The barrel has a lot of the original blue finish, the frame retains a lot of the case colors.  The stock and forearm with nice feathered untouched  look.  The bore is bright and shiny with five lands and grooves.
