Item Details
Very good and well restored antique English over and under double barrel percussion pistol made by Pullman, Dorchester UK. Circa 1840's. Barrel 6", .56 caliber smooth-bore with decorative engraving on the top flat near the breech, a small "CROWN" over "GP" (Gun Maker's Proof) on the lower left barrel flat and a small "CROWN" over "V" (Viewed) on the lower right. Features double triggers. The all iron box-lock frame has very fine quality decorative engraving on both sides and maker signed on the top tang "PULMAN / DORCHESTER" with sliding bar safeties. All iron parts exhibit areas of light surface rust pitting and have been professionally cleaned bright. The rounded wood bag-shaped grip-stock has fine micro-checkering with a vacant rectangular wrist escutcheon made of silver. The iron butt cap has a concealed percussion cap reservoir. Iron captive swivel ram rod. A fine example (as restored) in good mechanical working order.

By participating in this auction bidders agree that all lots are sold as is without any warrants or representations with respect to the lots. The auctioneer retains the right to reject any bid and to withdraw or pass any lot at his or her absolute discretion. When identical absentee bids are submitted the auctioneer will accept the first bid presented at his or her discretion. The highest bidder as determined by the auction house shall be responsible to pay for the hammer, buyer's premium and any applicable sales tax. Ownership of lots shall not be transitioned to the respective winning bidder until the auction house is satisfied with all funds being transferred and cleared to the auction house's account. All sales are final. Buyers have 10 days to arrange for removal of lots from the auction houses facility. After 10 days the auction house reserves the right to charge a $5 storage fee for each additional day until the lots have been removed. The auction house reserves the right to relist and sell any lots which have accrued a storage fee larger than the hammer plus buyer's premium total for a given lot. Shipping and safe delivery of the lots is the buyer's responsibility. The auction house reserves the right to update or remove any lot listed at the auction house's discretion.
