A Civil War U.S. German imported Model 1860 light cavalry sword with scabbard. 35" blade. Marked "1862/ N" and obscured markings. Brass crossguard marked "5-8/ MA." and "58" on pommel. Wood leather covered wire bound grip. Metal scabbard. 41 1/2" overall. 37 1/2" scabbard. Condition: Dark patina on scabbard. Brown patina on crossguard. Moderate wear on grip. Tarnish and residue on blade. Estimate: 200 to 400
